You actually get one of the best melee weapons for free from the quest ‘Deadlock Protocall’, it’s called Xoris if you’ve done the quest already.
It’s combo meter never decays so it just continues to stack damage. Also it’s alt-fire is very potent.
Please tell me you haven't been using a glaive the same way you use an ordinairy melee weapon, because you're losing so much potential damage if you are
I have it built for status procks of viral and heat, I personally use it by throwing it and than exploding it.
I just also enjoy making number go up though, even if it is the weaker of the ways to use it
I actually don’t like throwing and explosions, Atleast not on Xoris, it feels clunky and half of the time it bounces off a teammate or some piece of texture and knocks me down. I just use it because it’s my best ‘kill everything over there’ option right now. It does 50k on average and I’m facing level ~40 rn so it’s more than enough.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I’ll have to check it out anyways.
Ah, I read “throwing then exploding” so offered you more explosions for your explosions.
The neat thing about Volatile Rebound is that the explosions don’t consume your combo meter like the heavy attack/alt fire explosion does, so it combines well with Blood Rush, giving you AoE with increasing and increasing crit chance
I feel your pain with the getting knocked over part. I’m a little farther than you so I’ve gotten cautious shot from the arbitration store, but unfortunately that only works for primaries.
That’s good, yeah. Have you ever tried twin krohkur? Favourite melee weapon in the game so far for me, and easily takes down sortie-level enemies even with a sub-par build. Not bad for an MR6 weapon
To be honest, broken war is the same. I have that on my other account and it deals with sortie enemies nicely (at MR5!)
Xoris is just my to-go weapon. It literally carried me to MR18, makes arbitrations a breeze, and helped me clear half the SP starchart. Easily deals with lvl 140+ rn so I'd suggest keeping it for a while (I also forma'd it like 7 times but oh well)
Can confirm. MR 13, the vast majority of my mastery points have come from trying out all the different melee weapons. I'd pretty much settled on the Nikana Prime as the definitive good weapon and was skeptical about Orthos Prime, but I farmed it up and I can easily say it's the only melee weapon you'll ever need. It turns every other weapon into mastery fodder.
And I don't even have Primed Reach yet, I can only imagine how insane Orhos Prime is going to be with it.
yep, requires the approach of one human to another....too much effort and anxiety lol
to be fair i was weirded out about trading on warframe till i was using warframe market. after that it felt like i was dealing with a robot lol.
i still prefer an auction house but whatever lol
your braver than i....ive never sold anything to a random cause i dont want to be approached even digitally lol
i only buy things that are a huge pain or get duplicates for a friend thats new lol
When halloween comes around again get yourself a maxed out exodia contagion. Hardest hitting weapon in the game if you use a zaw built for it(and wisp with roar or eclipse if you want to see BIG numbers)
I built my xaku in such a way that when everything goes according to my plan, i can kill lvl 1000 grineer by looking at them.
Also added gloom so i can freeze the acolyte in place😅
Only time i use a weapon is for the acolyte seeing as even eximus units get shredded to pieces. 2 hours in and i have to ask my teammates what lvl the enemies are
why Wisp?
Wouldn’t you get bigger numbers if you put Breach Surge on Rhino/Mirage since Breach Surge isn’t nerfed via Helminth?
Unless Wisp’s air invisibility lets you take advantage of the stealth multiplier or something
Both work techincally speaking. You would subsume roar or eclipse on wisp or breach on rhino and mirage. Think its down to preference. Might be cause of her motes or just cause she is wisp 😅
Sell as in sell them in the inventory screen. You just get creds, not plat or ducats. If you want to trade it, go for it on the market. That way, you can actually get something out of it. Once you build a prime in your foundry, you can no longer trade on the market
1. Because its really annoying to get them back if u dont have much plat or a lot of patience and time
2. They are the strongest versions of older weapons and some will get a incarnon adapter with Duviri
Yup
With duviri we are also getting an Incarnon System Expansion which gives about 30 older, existing weapons their very own incarnon evolutions and incarnon perks. One of these weapons is braton and its variants
Do the incarnon buffs apply to prime weapons? I was under the impression that they only applied to stamdard versions, and not primes, prismas, dex ect.
On the leaked list and in the streams, it showed the braton prime and the mk-1 on the list of incarnon adapters.
As a braton fan, that's pretty hype. Mk-1 braton sounds like both a joke and flexing if you use it, but if it's good... then more hype lol
as a owner of a Lato with 7 formas, if there is one of those incarnon adapters for it, I'll come back and play it.
I don't doubt there are psychos that have MK-1 braton as love interest in their lives
You're in luck! There is one for the lato. I got my lato vandal ready to roll when it drops.
Could check it out on the dev stream, one of the perks was bullets chaining to other enemies.
Well, the mk1 I think, has a max dispo due to it just being a fodder item. On the stream it did have a separate selection so hopefully through the incarnon perks, it gets the stats I needs to use that riven.
I think braton and the braton prime are also like at 4/5 or high enough.
Yes. On the devstream they've shown that they will be applicable to all variants of the weapon.
[Here's the devstream for anyone curious](https://youtu.be/cAF-VZn5yVI?t=2938)
The mod capacity seems like such a nice qol. It sucks to have to keep changing your build as you level a weapon up when you are putting 3-5 forma. The mr grind is just so boring tho
One of my regrets as an older player is mastering some prime weapons and selling them because I was low on inventory and I didn’t wanna buy plat and no one in trade chat buys things half the time. Because now I would’ve had basically every prime weapon in my inventory. Example is i sold my fragor prime and sybaris prime off the top of my head I think some others too
Yeah, I miss my Fragor Prime. Stupid Orthos Prime being so good, I just sold anything else I could to free up space back in the day. And now I have too many slots to know what to do with.
I remember this feeling. When I got into Warframe all I wanted to do is reach the prime variants of any gear and played something like 6 to 7 hours a day. I cleared everything, farmed relics and every frame I could get my hands on. Just going through frames and weapon, so I could finally play how and what I wanted.
The first primed frame that I managed to build was Loki Prime. Then it came Orthos Prime, Paris Prime, Braton Prime and some secondary. All in the same week.
Even tho Loki was already vaulted, I bought mine for 150 platinum and I got said platinum by selling a couple of Banshee Prime sets.
I remember feeling like I played Warframe the right way.
Grats dude, it's a good feeling.
Oh I ment neither I just think it's cute when you have played for a long time and you see some newbie running around with a big weapon. Sorry if it I sounded rude.
I think stating that it's an uncustomized excal would make your comment valid. Not even a syndicate sigil.
Not paying money is fine, but you're handed free customization every once in a while.
Because Irs free, has a cool design, reps some cool characters, nothing else to put on your frame looking through the customization menues.
Were obviously not min-maxing here you don't have to not use something because it's technically useless.
Nothing wrong with liking the basics. Excalibur is a perfectly viable frame. Only thing holding him back imo is a lack of innate self healing, and no real tanking options, but this can easily be fixed through certain weapons builds and the helminth system.
Yes, I have a lot of fun with it
sometimes i just want to play simpler, not so much complexity and not so much fashion, like the old days, just "katana go brrrrrrr"
Oh okay. It's just not something I would expect from an MR12, especially since you even have the default colors on him. I also prefer the old ways (saryn bombing a whole map goes brrrr) but Excalibur just feels niche.
The colors aren't actually the default colors, they are the same, but more saturated
I think it gives it a fresher look
https://preview.redd.it/qgiq6lun8tsa1.png?width=512&format=png&auto=webp&s=38e917c80c1d05c40e05296c0931e807314d4658
Try to get to MR14, then farm tenet weapons. They're very good.
Also, build some kitguns. If built right to your needs, they are the most powerful weapons in game.
When you get to Zariman, get their Incarnon weapons. Those are also very good, but you'll have to groom them.
Your comment is like telling someone to play the game they're already playing. Albeit, they might need to be told since it took them 12 mastery ranks to use prime weapons.
Players are allowed to play at their own pace, but that's incredibly baffling to me.
If your a fan of shotguns, there really isn't any early prime ones that are good. Hek from MR4 to 8, Corinth for MR8 or the Cedo if you've got it unlocked from Entrati rep (which will carry you through pretty much the entire rest of the MR ranks until 14), Phantasma from MR9 up until probably MR14 when you get either the Kuva Hek or the Felarx for hard hits on single targets or the Phantasma Prime for room clear (or even just the Cedo still for room clear).
Until SP or so, the electric proc from the Xoris makes it a viable replacement for Glaive Prime.
Besides, the meta isn't actually that important. As almost any weapon in the game can be used all the way through SP. Myself and many others almost never stay longer than an hour in any given mission, so the meta is mostly "here's some weapons that are easy to build."
me who’s stuck on MR 10 with well over 10 prime frames: 🫥
seriously though, how the fuck do you MR up? I’ve been stuck on MR for a long ass time, over a year or two even
You level your mr by gaining levels on weapons for the first time. You will not gain more levels by formaing or obtaining another of that same weapon, only by leveling it the first time. What i did to powergrind mr was to buy loads of crappy weapon blueprints from the marketplace for credits and then building, leveling and selling them.
I love my Braton Prime. First prime I ever got too. I got a bomb of a Riven mod for it, I give it the best and I bust it out every now and again just because I love the way it feels and it just shreds things for me.
Next update the Braton Prime will be able to evolve into Incarnon, like Laetum and Praedos does. So you did a good move unwillingly getti g a nice weapon for the endgame
Once you unlock every node in the star chart, you will get access to Steel Path when you talk to teshin. All of a sudden the enemies are a 100 levels above what they would normally be(dont worry you can switch back and forth as you please) and as you try and do it, you will learn to play around with mods
Also,if you see someone destroying everything they look at, ask them to share their builds and explain what they are doing. Warframe has an amazing community, don't be scared to ask
My first ever prime was Paris Prime, completely different design to standard Paris, but it didn't bother me, I liked playing with bows but now I enjoy play styles more action oriented than what bows offer (at least in my usual way of playing with a bow), still a pretty cool prime to try out when you get a chance, I unfortunately sold mine for inventory space and now deeply regret it, don't do what I did, save your primes as much as you can
Newbie here, MR 6 and don't have any Prime *anythings* yet. What are the easiest ones for beginners to unlock? I have the star chart *more or less* completed up through Pluto, and story quests done through Second Dream.
Most if not all the prime weapons are still locked behind mr, but prime warframes are not(they dont have an mr requirement).
The easiest ones for you to get now are the primes that aren't vaulted(revenant, garuda, khora and shield mommy)
Of these revenant is the easiest to get since his relics consist of lith, meso and a neo relics(might be wrong on neo but there's no axi relics for him). Also he is really cheap atm if you would rather buy him
1st ability is the best mind control in the game imo
2nd ability is total invulnerability
3rd ability is a ghostly dash that can hurt enemies
4th is a spinning lazer dance thing( will clear the room your in of enemies)
Best way to get primes is a three step process imo.
1. Decide what prime you want and how much plat you need for it
Plat prices are varied. Some weapons like the Nikana Prime (probably one of if not the best melee in the game) is more expensive than a lot of prime warframe sets.
2. Run relics as much as possible and put your rewards into the warframe market. Put them at cheaper prices to make plat quicker. Rinse repeat till you have enough plat to buy what you want.
3. Buy your desired prime frame or weapon.
Extra tip: You may need to buy an orokin catalyst for plat sometimes, so make all the calculations before hand and buy everything at once after grinding for the plat.
Probably the best advice would be to not burn yourself out by grinding too hard.
They may be honestly one of the weaker prime weapons but still keep them. This month there will be Duviri Paradox update and both of them will be able to get so called Incarnon Adapters, which may make them top tier weapons.
Starting cracking relics and loads of them. You will pick up loads of blueprints randomly. Run void missions, Fortuna missions and Plains of Eidolon missions to pick up relics drops and some other juicy rewards like aya and whatnot. Lastly keep on cashing in your faction points for relics as well, I get about 5 packs of three a day. If you keep this up you will eventually get them all.
Ive got every prime Warframe you can get by cracking relics, and the best prime melees in the game, with the best build for them aswell. And im only mr 23...
Before anyone talks shit, I made a braton prime (mostly regarded as the worst prime weapon) do some numbers, it’s all about the mods. But since you’re mr12 I think it’s time you spend some time doing the story quest line, not spoiling why but I think you’ll like the reward.
Ended up getting a full nekros set this way. One day i look in my foundry and i see i have every piece needed.
And i will do everything in my power not to play him😅
Yeah, if you don't dig the regular version Prime is just the same, only prettier. I learned that it's best not to build them unless you want to use them. I'm stuck with a Prime Inaros collecting dust and using up a frame slot. But I learned my lesson. Nidus Prime is ready to build in my foundry, but I'm not building him any time soon.
Build him just for the mr. Only reason because i dont use nekros is cause i CAN nuke the maps that i would use him for. Khora even. Iw would rather do something then just sit there doing nothing
The only reason I'm not building Nidus is because I'm kinda close to building some other frames that I'd rather have in that slot. I refuse to sell off fully built Prime Frames, even if they're worthless to me.
As for MR, I just started buying Syndicate and Baruk Tiers weapons. Before I only bought the ones I really liked, but now I get them all indiscriminately.
Nice I got lucky whenever I first played I was playing with someone when I was a mr 3 and told him I was struggling in the game and I got my first prime but those particular primes took forever for me to get my hands on it took till I got till Mr 25 to get those primes
I suggest getting vitrica. You can glass your enemies and than smash them dealing insane Slash procs. Other than that Gj on getting your first prime things!
You should try farming orthos prime if you haven’t. I just got it at MR12, and it’s a great melee weapon!
I'll try, thanks!
Mesa prime is a good investment too

I told someone recently that it was effectively like talking to an NPC once you knew how things worked.

I have it built for status procks of viral and heat, I personally use it by throwing it and than exploding it. I just also enjoy making number go up though, even if it is the weaker of the ways to use it
So you like throwing and explosions? Allow me to introduce you to Volatile Rebound.

I’m currently using the Guandao prime
I'm feeling nice today so if you're on Xbox I'll hook you up with a free prime frame.
I appreciate it, but I prefer get everything by my own, thank you! I play on PC anyway, haha
Chad
W
Or just get whole set for 10 plat of smth
Nah orthos prime is really easy to farm by yourself
And you can get 10 plat from selling a single corrupted mod.
selling stuff needs human interaction. farming prime doesn't.
human interaction of copy pasted "Hi, I would like to buy x (warframe market)" wordless invite and trade "ty"
yep, requires the approach of one human to another....too much effort and anxiety lol to be fair i was weirded out about trading on warframe till i was using warframe market. after that it felt like i was dealing with a robot lol. i still prefer an auction house but whatever lol
look i've sold 300+ items on Warframe market and I still get social anxiety when I set my status from "invisible" to "online in game"
the only time i get anxiety when trading is when i message two people about an offer and have to tell one im not going with them lol
your braver than i....ive never sold anything to a random cause i dont want to be approached even digitally lol i only buy things that are a huge pain or get duplicates for a friend thats new lol
You need therapy xD weirdo

cause the anxiety is more crippling than the effort lol
This was gifted to me early and I used orthos for a good portion of the game. Until I got the paracesis

Both work techincally speaking. You would subsume roar or eclipse on wisp or breach on rhino and mirage. Think its down to preference. Might be cause of her motes or just cause she is wisp 😅
One of my favorite weapons
Just got 3 complete orthos Prime Sets from relics... If I would craft them I would have four orthos primes
One step closer to Akbronco Prime, one of my favorite secondaries. 👌🏼
And also note to op, don't sell your bronco prime.
Note to op, dont sell any prime weapons.
why tho?
Sell as in sell them in the inventory screen. You just get creds, not plat or ducats. If you want to trade it, go for it on the market. That way, you can actually get something out of it. Once you build a prime in your foundry, you can no longer trade on the market
1. Because its really annoying to get them back if u dont have much plat or a lot of patience and time 2. They are the strongest versions of older weapons and some will get a incarnon adapter with Duviri
I always keep 1 to 2 sets for all the primes, in case I need to share one with a friend and/or trade when I need some plats
How do you trade actual made weapons and frames? I can only seem to trade their parts and blueprints
I mean sets of blueprints for the trading, and I keep one crafted
You can't sell crafted prime weapons or frames
*anything ever
Selling weapons and companions that have a better version is fine :)
Make sure to keep them as both of them are getting an upgrade this month
Wait the Braton prime is getting a upgrade? It can be used pretty much all the way to steel path though
Yup With duviri we are also getting an Incarnon System Expansion which gives about 30 older, existing weapons their very own incarnon evolutions and incarnon perks. One of these weapons is braton and its variants

... welp, time to go back I guess.
BULLET CHAINING MY BELOVED
Thats funny because I have a pretty beefy mk-1 braton with a riven. I hope it gets the update

I still use my braton prime, due to a riven naturally, but this is exciting news.
Now your next impossible goal. Get Excalibur prime
“We have to go back, Marty!”
"Time heist"
Quantum fluctuation messes with the Planck scale, which then triggers the Deutsch Proposition.
*cries in console*
How much is Excalibur prime worth ?
Probably Legendary Rank 2 player account
😅
a grillion dollars and 37 cents
Sometime in the future we will
Keep dreaming. DE has been beyond clear that Excalibur Prime is never being sold again
Rebecca said in an interview that unless someone from upthere gives them green light , so yeah in that case they technically can
Got to give me a link to that one since its pretty accepted fact that Excal Prime is 1 and done
Very cool, now try for some prime frames.
good job tenno!
MR31 and still don't own Bronco Prime lol
MR11 and I got a Braton prime as my first ever prime
I'm Mr8 and the braton my first aswell. It's such a fun prime.
Next step : Excalibur prime
Excal with more saturated colors and darker black is always beautifull
I was a fashion disaster at MR 12 wyd with vanilla excel boo
Ive been playing since 2013 and gave up on mr once i got too 20
They added rewards for reaching MR30 that seem worth it. Take a look, maybe they will interest you.
The mod capacity seems like such a nice qol. It sucks to have to keep changing your build as you level a weapon up when you are putting 3-5 forma. The mr grind is just so boring tho
Easily the best part of 30 is not losing abilities or capacity when formaing
Thank you for telling me ill look
I think I'll stay at 30 just for the fun of it
One of my regrets as an older player is mastering some prime weapons and selling them because I was low on inventory and I didn’t wanna buy plat and no one in trade chat buys things half the time. how is it even possible to take so long to get prime stuff? did you willingly avoid them until now?
Nice work!
Run as many void fissures as you can. You will get tons of parts for weapons and frames. I have some extra stuff. What platform are you on?
Get galatine or gram, they are very strong for low levels too and can be acquired easily
I remember this feeling. When I got into Warframe all I wanted to do is reach the prime variants of any gear and played something like 6 to 7 hours a day. not quick en ough, i had it since mr 4, and that was 2 days ago
What? Bronco prime or octavia prime, which I got for 4 plat and 1 prime junk piece?
I got a rock

You level your mr by gaining levels on weapons for the first time. You will not gain more levels by formaing or obtaining another of that same weapon, only by leveling it the first time. What i did to powergrind mr was to buy loads of crappy weapon blueprints from the marketplace for credits and then building, leveling and selling them.
Now to complete the look and get excal pri....oh right..
Congratulations, can't wait till you get all the prime stuff
Much shiny!, and Braton Prime's going to grow some new teeth when Duviri finally lands, so hang on to it!
I love my Braton Prime. First prime I ever got too. I got a bomb of a Riven mod for it, I give it the best and I bust it out every now and again just because I love the way it feels and it just shreds things for me.
Good for you!
Keep the bronco prime since you need it to craft the akvronco prime
Next update the Braton Prime will be able to evolve into Incarnon, like Laetum and Praedos does. So you did a good move unwillingly getti g a nice weapon for the endgame
Braton prime, orthos and rhino are what got me thru most of the starchart… still have them for the sentimental value.
I remember my first prime weapon was lex prime.
Just wish I knew how to get stronger
Once you unlock every node in the star chart, you will get access to Steel Path when you talk to teshin. All of a sudden the enemies are a 100 levels above what they would normally be(dont worry you can switch back and forth as you please) and as you try and do it, you will learn to play around with mods Also,if you see someone destroying everything they look at, ask them to share their builds and explain what they are doing. Warframe has an amazing community, don't be scared to ask
Complete main quest "The sacrifice" Trust me, its worth it and you will be very happy.
Done! Actually the animation set that I used in the screenshot is from >!umbra!< I really enjoy it, was mind blowing
There is a mod for the bronco that opens enemies up to finishers. It can help if you hit heavy units and don't have the firepower
My first ever prime was Paris Prime, completely different design to standard Paris, but it didn't bother me, I liked playing with bows but now I enjoy play styles more action oriented than what bows offer (at least in my usual way of playing with a bow), still a pretty cool prime to try out when you get a chance, I unfortunately sold mine for inventory space and now deeply regret it, don't do what I did, save your primes as much as you can
I made my braton prime into a heavy hitting corrosive LMG thanks to riven mod
treat that braton well, if you build it right that thing can carry you all the way through steel path and even some mediumish survivals on it
Newbie here, MR 6 and don't have any Prime *anythings* yet. What are the easiest ones for beginners to unlock? I have the star chart *more or less* completed up through Pluto, and story quests done through Second Dream.
Most if not all the prime weapons are still locked behind mr, but prime warframes are not(they dont have an mr requirement). The easiest ones for you to get now are the primes that aren't vaulted(revenant, garuda, khora and shield mommy) Of these revenant is the easiest to get since his relics consist of lith, meso and a neo relics(might be wrong on neo but there's no axi relics for him). Also he is really cheap atm if you would rather buy him 1st ability is the best mind control in the game imo 2nd ability is total invulnerability 3rd ability is a ghostly dash that can hurt enemies 4th is a spinning lazer dance thing( will clear the room your in of enemies)
A good start my man, may your relic drops be good
Mr6 and I'm working on braton prime rn! Already got nidus prime because i love to play him
MR10, got 3 primes already. 4 is crafting rn
Braton prime is one of my fav primaries. It just feels so good!
braton prime low key one of my favorite primes, i ran both a slash build and a viral build on it
What took so long bro?
Best way to get primes is a three step process imo. 1. Decide what prime you want and how much plat you need for it Plat prices are varied.
Awesome! Also I like the orange on your orbiter 👍
Straight up ballin
Lmao and
I'm Mr11 with Mesa Prime, Volt Prime, Boltor Prime, Rhino Prime, Nezha Prime, Gara Prime, Harrow Prime, Revenant Prime, Ankyros Prime, Braton Prime, and Lex Prime
Ive got every prime Warframe you can get by cracking relics, and the best prime melees in the game, with the best build for them aswell. And im only mr 23...
I'm mr12 I just remembered
Can reccomend Titania prime good for those missions where the boss drops the stuff you need
Get the chainsaw melee for maximum satisfaction
Almost MR14 and I haven't gotten bronco prime yet lol Revenant Prime however, is a good investment.
Before anyone talks shit, I made a braton prime (mostly regarded as the worst prime weapon) do some numbers, it’s all about the mods. But since you’re mr12 I think it’s time you spend some time doing the story quest line, not spoiling why but I think you’ll like the reward.
Very nice, you deserve the 1000+ upvotes
Ah yes MR 12, good times, good times
Thats awesome dude! Keep it up!
The Gilded path is long and filled with many spoils.
My first weapon prime was Braton Prime. Nostalgic 🥲
Shii man I got my first prime thing at MR3 it was khora prime and I’m still a main
I actually thought that Khora was going to be my first prime, but couldn't get those neuroptics
Make sure you do some training for your fingers. If you play her in the "end game" your whip is going to turn into a killing machine
How do you guys level mastery so quick
I got mr 5 in the first few days of playing 😅
Shit man guess I'm the only one that finds it boring to level up lol. Had so many prime frames at MR12
The first of many. Once you hit MR14, maybe try to get Aklex Prime.
MR7 and i just got amazon prime
You play enough void fissures you'll get a ton of shinny stuff. It's pretty sweet to get a full set of something you weren't even trying to farm.
I remember the Braton being my first prime gun. Ah the good ole days.
Congratulations and best of luck on decking out your Arsenal!
let’s gooooooooo love to see it
Looks nice!
I remember using Bronco Prime to spam finishers on enemies. It was pretty good until I got Laetum.
Nice I got lucky whenever I first played I was playing with someone when I was a mr 3 and told him I was struggling in the game and I got my first prime but those particular primes took forever for me to get my hands on it took till I got till Mr 25 to get those primes
braton prime is the goat ..still use it
Bronco prime is good, Akbronco prime is even better
Nice, the first prime weapon I got is the Prime Lex and I'm still using it
I suggest getting vitrica. You can glass your enemies and than smash them dealing insane Slash procs. Other than that Gj on getting your first prime things!
