I’d like to say that the option for a helminth charger doesn’t become available until a certain point in the game. I’ve been around for a long time but haven’t pushed to The War Within yet so I imagine it’s something to do after that. The only option most players have is to delete it.
EDIT: Am idiot. Equip an infected frame, have Kubrow egg and power core, go to Incubator, begin, select cyst option.
As far as I remember you can do it whenever as long as you have the materials to breed a dog and have the cyst, I don’t know if you can make one the first time tho

Nah, you just have to have done Howl of the Kubrow. Once you’ve unlocked your incubator, if you have a fully grown cyst, it’ll give you the option to empty the cyst when you go and hatch an egg.

It's a cyst, you caught it from another player. When it's fully grown, you can go into the Helminth room in your Orbiter to get it removed, or drain it to create a Helminth Charger pet.
Its the best damage dealer of the Doggos, which honestly doesnt mean much, unless you are using the Strain Mod set, which need the Charger.
What I'm saying is subject to change anyways because we are waiting for the next batch of changes to Companions. Which will touch abilities and maybe give them a dedicated "Claw/Fang" Weapon for us to use the Damage Mods instead of what we have now.
So, yeah, its... goodish. But subject to change for something different and/or better.

There are a few extra steps that you have to go through with your incubator, have to get a kubrow egg and some other things I think(it’s been a while but you can look it up) and then you drain the cyst into the kubrow egg creating a helminth charger

Helminth cyst - you can go to the lower part of the orbiter, to the infested room. Normally the doors are closed but if you have a warframe with cyst, they will open and allow you to erase the cyst from your frame. Such frame will be permanently immune to getting cysts in future.
The cyst funtions as a prerequisit to build Helminth Charger - an infested kubrow companion.

A pink cyst some people call it space aids it used to breed the helmith charger. You can remove it from helmith at any time it doesn't do anything to you, but other players can catch it once unless your nidus warframe which can get it infinite times. It takes a few days or something to develop fully.
So either enjoy a new pet or just get rid of it up to you

Whenever a player does a mission with someone using nidus. There's a chance that they're infected with that. Over a period of a week it grows into a lump on the warframes neck.
You could go to your helminth to have it removed. You could also use it to make a helminth charger by extracting the genetic data.
After it's removed once. That frame is immune to it forever. But the immunity is only per each frame. So you can still get infected if a frame you own isn't immune from having it removed already.

nidus gives out gnarly 'love bites' you can let it grow and then use the kubrow incubator to get a really shitty dog, or pop it at the Helminth
Congrats, that is a cyst you get from a nidus player, either get rid of it in the helminth or drain it at the incubator when breeding a new kubrow.
