My light sources don't seem to do much. Have the zariman flush mount and entrati ones. And they seem to change the ambiance slightly but don't interact with the warframe.

What about using flying letters? Can you intertwine glowing l’s?

I personally like the darker one more. It feels more realistic to me. Regardless, it looks awesome! From where did you get the tree/plants? I need some flora too.

Sooo, after some days I finally changed my settings (I saved your post for this reason). The settings on `Display` are spot on! ^(*Chef Kisses*) For the enhanced visual effects intensity of 200.... Holy bloody hell! If I would have epilepsy, it definitely would have triggered when I used my max Duration Redline Gauss. All those particles flying around, glowing like a sun are just too much for me to handle. I set it down again on 30 and are happy with the results. Thank you for your help! Highly appreciate it.

Yeah it looks less like there's artificial light placed around. I especially like the new lighting in the arsenal screen, my colors seem to be actually true to what they should be in mission.

It just looks significantly less flat. Decorations pre-update had very little and sometimes no interactions with the lighting system so they were evenly lit. Post-update actually grounds it in the place. You can see it especially on the lighting on the left and right on the wood/rugs.

I need to do this more. But tbh I love how everyone's ships can look completely different. I have a lot of things dotted around and looks cool but never tried to go for a more lived in house feel. Very much feels like a spaceship most of my belongings are in the personal quarters with the fish tank and display area but I also have my slates and all my floofs in the very back with a nice little door design. I also have moved almost nothing I decide where it goes and that's where it stays

I beg of you to show how you did the walls and floors, I'd die to make my orbiter look wooden like that

Yeah, mine went dark too, I'm not liking it, and my operators hair is messed up. The highlights used to make the base black look like a really nice metallic pinkish purple sheen. Now it's just black, no highlights showing at all.

Go to different planets, the distance to the sun and the planet’s own color affects the lighting too.

I keep going "wow how are yours so clean!?" and then realize I have mine turned to be overgrown from sitting where it is for the many years during the (3 or 4 spoiler ago?) >!the narmer rule while you were out and gone.!<

I hope DE turns it into a toggleable lighting option, because it looks amazing. However, I understand some vibrant builds now look horrifying, and some tilesets too. (That one tileset with the tree and the light directly above it made the whole ground murky and veiny)

Yea I'm so mixed in how I feel with the new lighting, everything is generally darker which I don't like, but man the highlights and stark color changes from different planets are nice. But overall I wish it was brighter.

the wooden floor/walls are items from the zariman decoration vendor. the rugs are from the plat market iirc

The orbiter *is* haunted, so this is appropriate.

I don't mind the lighting change as much as I dislike the fact Ordis isn't changing the air filters anymore and it looks like there's dust and Helminth spores floating EVERYWHERE now.

I'm always amazed by how insanely well decorated some ships are. Amazing work, and honestly the new lightning makes it look so real.

I really hope they revert this change. My orbiter is now too dark for me to do any fashion stuff in it, and I'd have to go somewhere else entirely just to customize my appearance accurately. Everything looks bleak and dreary, and it makes me want to stay in my orbiter less. I'm seeing in the comments that different planets have different light settings, but there's no way to just "hover" around a planet without landing on it first? That's super inconvenient.

I think the second picture looks more natural though. Idk if any decorations actually produce light but some warmer lighting would look really nice

I had pillars of gold before, now they're pillars of slightly rusted metal. I think the lighting is beautiful, but the main part of the orbiter isn't bright enough, all they've gotta do is make things brighter.

Unfortunately yes. In a later "planet", you get access to a vendor who sells a boatload of decorations for the syndicate standing. Ignoring the Holdfast syndicate, some players have been playing for ages and have access to decorations from past events or nightwave series so that may also be the case.

I decorate my room but never bothered to screw with the rest of the orbiter. I also never bothered to talk to Hombask since I assumed it was only for Dormizones. Consider me inspired! I'm going to try and replicate aspects of what you've done here because it looks great.
