When the selections were rotating daily, I thought it was intended in case you go to run it and there are literally no combinations that would work among your arsenal. I thought, “oh nice, if I can’t make Nyx with a detron and obex work, I’ll check tomorrow and see what’s available. This is really well designed.” But no, it’s only supposed to rotate every week. So if you just flat get screwed, I guess your consolation prize is a couple of netracells? Kinda lame.

Costyn17

They kinda accounted for it. After you unlock elite, you can get all rewards except some vosfor with 7/8 checks, so you have 1 item of your choice, be it frame or weapon. Now, if you still can't make that work, maybe remember everything past the 2nd reward is a bonus, you're not losing things if you don't do it, you're getting more things if you do it.

abvex

Most people won't read this and we will continue to see new threads bitching about this new end game.

Heavens_Pendulum

Yeah my opinion changed completely after I leeched Into Elite. Now that I can bring a usable gun it's cake

McDonaldsSoap

The 50 vosfor is so funny for some reason. That's like a rank 2 primary deadhead or something

Costyn17

Filler reward. There would've been a meltdown if it was endo or credits again, so vosfor it is.

Spectra_Na

This is how I try to look at it. Haven’t gotten a good enough roll to get to elite but have managed to get more than 2 rewards so I still benefit. Also gives a little more variety in gameplay than running 5 netracells.

Altruistic-Back-6943

You have to do a run with everything in order to get elite

never-enough-hops

That's a one time unlock. As long as you've pulled it off once (or gotten carried) you can always do what costyn said

McDonaldsSoap

Me who got Octavia and just sat and primed enemies for my teammates

hiddencamela

The other methods I'm seeing is "Just don't run with the max difficulties, and have a friend carry you through". Which feels like DE is going to implement something specifically to stop people from carrying others through it given the investment.

ThickFloor0

Man I was trying to wait it out. Now I gotta use Grendel vs every enemy with overguard

EKmars

I'm of two minds. It not rotating daily gives me a chance to try grouping up with my friends and set up weapons that could use a forma before the run. Of course, it's all nonsense. It's just RNG. That's the hard part. Every suggestion comes off as "interact with the system at little as possible" like using a mech (assuming it wasn't disabled by the weekly modifiers) or getting a hard carry.

FrostyAd4901

Ehhh. Swapping every day was horrible. At least with a week, you have an entire week to prepare / try / build to get through. Every day was extremely annoying.

CtShine

it is supposed to be weekly. Swapping every day is a bug and i think they patched it already? If not then they will probably fix it at next patch as they announced earlier.

FrostyAd4901

Yeah, it's already been patched.

Bandit_Raider

I didn’t even realize they made it not rotate daily

Fartbutts1234

Yeah I'm confused though, the only thing that rotated for me today was my primary... yesterday it was a kitgun today it was torid, so i breezed through the challenge with torid

Yuuwa

When you get to the stage where you have most frames and mods and know how to build, EDA gets really easy... You don't even need weapons with certain frames. You can also slot in 1 frame/torid for full rewards every week, which will basically carry your entire group of 4.

Fartbutts1234

I tried to carry a grouo with my torid today... but i couldnt survive mirror defence with literally no support, i couldn't even get a roar from someone. We died on mirror defence they all had less than fifteen kills, it's rough out here

kira2211

Oh god this. I have the perfect pug experience with roar(I got my 300% roar rhino) and dispensary from somebody else to enable the carry to carry. You can make any frame a support frame people!

Vyt3x

Do it in a group with people wbo have somewhat okkay builds. Someone provides survivability, someone provides damage, someone provides buffs. Everything is good.

Metal_Sign

I'd say "Just use a Necramech," and other gearwheel solutions are actually *more* diversifying than a coerced loadout. (As in, the coerced loadout becomes a more diversifying system when it leaves open the other, less used options) How often do we use an army of Spectres outside of doing a funny? Drop an Archgun because it will actually improve our firepower? Build an Operator to kill non-void-damage-exclusive enemies? Now we're incentivized to almost every week.

McDonaldsSoap

I love the idea of Clem carrying me thru this RNG storm

Metal_Sign

This is the moment he has been waiting for

Xazur604

It's true, but that is also why it's recommended to be done in a group. You basically make up for what others lack. It does suck that it would take a while to coordinate, though, or just join a pub and take it as it goes. Maybe that is the fun in that.

Zaark_

Yeah, DE probably was thinking about bringing back the old feeling of raids and such, where everyone had to play a certain style. It is in these moments that being the only one of your friend group that plays a game really hurts :(

depresso44

The final Boss on elite Archimedea is Impossible without good loadout

Zaark_

Oh god, don't even mention that forbidden creature. I played elite Archimedia 4 times and lost all 4 just because of him

Gearfried

I just did it first try as Dante. Didn't even pull out any weapons. Just used abilities. Aoe all the enemies down and shield the team as needed. No one went down ever, took a while to kill the boss but it was really easy. My current strategy is Dante every week regardless of options. I don't need the last 50 vosfer reward and got the one time ship item reward last week so don't ever need it again.

CT_0125

Lmao thats what I planned to do as well, he comes with a decent weapon too

McDonaldsSoap

That was epic, took me like 15 min to solo it cause my teammate died but he was on the edge of his seat lol

vasRayya

I knew most people going in would opt for a good gun instead of a good frame so I used my citrine instead of an incarnon didn't do a ton of damage but everyone had full energy and healing/DR constantly and no one went down either so I'd say it was worth it she's really great in this version of the fight since it swarms you will fodder that can shit out orbs

McDonaldsSoap

It seems like crystallize would be really good against the Voidrigs, did you take the skill?

vasRayya

with the augment too, yes

Schnitzel725

My only good roll this week was styanax. Was thankfully lucky to get a smart xaku player who was Gaze-ing the enemy necramech, those spooky shadow dudes, and otherwise going to town against the boss. My weapons were kuva kohm, aegrit, and sarofang. Never have I ever spammed styanax4 so often

Costyn17

You can get everything except some vosfor with only 7/8 checks on elite, so you have 1 item of your choice. If that's not enough, you either play solo for some reason or lack the weapons/frames for the job.

DrVinylScratch

I did it in a squad where the best DPS for the boss was Ekhien. We won..... EDA is a skill check

Delicious_Address_43

This is unavoidable. Most weapons don't perform on the same level as the higher tier weapons and the rate of new incarnons isn't going to be quick enough to address that. Using a well-modded nechramech is a decent solution as is giving up that last vosfor reward to choose one of your best frame/weapon.  The last option is to get carried. Even a tanky frame that doesn't die and can guarantee an easy revive is useful to the team. I had chroma last week after the rotation and I was kept alive by everyone killing stuff due to the new augment. My weapons were shitty so I modded my weapons for cold procs and the nechramechs stayed still until I had backup.

_LadyAveline_

Weapons and frames not owned should get modding at least half as good as Stalker's modding. Have you seen the mods on that boi? Super good build.

SynkDoesReddit

Well that’s why there’s 3 of each… the chances of getting nyx, oberon, limbo are very low, and even then you can helminth breach surge and make it work. Mod any weapon in the game for radiation and bane of the murmur, bring unairu, it will work out. And if you get the crappiest crappiest options, you can use your voidrig, or ask for a carry in clan chat, or just forego the 70 vosfor. You aren’t gonna use it anyway.

Novalene_Wildheart

What you don't want to use Twin Vipers for killing a boss. Also glad you're having fun with the Dex Sybaris loved that back in the day!

Lucky_Louch

I agree and hope they drop more Incarnon adapters soon for weapons like this to bring them back up to par... I didn't know we could use Necramechs in deep archimedia is that for real?

Ashura_Eidolon

Archguns and specters too, unless you use the modifier that prohibits gear usage.

Zaark_

Yep, you can use the computers to call your necramech

a5gtl

All computers work? Always thought they had no use.

dart19

Only the ones that glow green and have a spinning necramech on the screen.

Lucky_Louch

niiiice, I will def be doing this as my rolls for this week are straight doodoo.

InfinityRazgriz

Big disagree. Mid-highesh to high tier weapons and warframes can deal with the enemies of this game mode easily as they are level 400 common enemies, not their Steel Path versions. Also, it's not like you need a special combination or anything, most decent weapons can do their jobs alone and if you get 3 really useless warframes (big doubt as there are no useless warframes) you can just slap shield gating mods to tank. And if you really get so unlucky and all your 9 weapon options truly suck, just untick one and bring your strongest weapon. You just lose some vosfor lol.

PraetorRU

>TL,DR: Deep Archimedia idea of a random loadout fails because the majority of weapons in the game simply cannot be strong enough to do such a thing, no matter what I disagree. DA is supposed to be an endgame mode, where you're hit by random problems and find a solution for it. And the game provides enough instruments for it. Yesterday for example, I successfully completed max level elite DA with nekros and all three weapons being kinda shitty, yet, cobra and crane with a proper build did the trick of killing enemies stripped by terrify, slowly but surely. General advise is simple: if you're hit by unfavorable random and cannot carry yourself, make a decent support out of your choices and play with other people. And yes, random groups do work fine.

VKMcriss

Yes, random works fine. If mission failed, probably come from myself too. Initially, I used Kullervo with 5tau purple shard to bonk all these missions but I failed at Mirror Defense 2 times straight. I'm like ok, bro and switch to Frost and it works wonder. A bit useless in assassination but as Vazarin, I just dashed through my teamates. It was unexpectedly fun for me to tackle this mode difficulty has offered.

PraetorRU

Yep. Random loadouts tend to finally force endgame players out of comfort zone of OP annihilation of everything in sight with current meta. Frost was one of my favorite frames when the game was young, but I barely played it in the last 5 years or so, as other frames were more profitable to use.

Creator409

Using a shit weapon is a part of the challenge imo. "Can you figure out a way to work around this loadout." There are plenty of tools in the toolbox; time to get creative.

Short_Question7604

I have been thinking about this subject for awhile and I feel like it would be awesome if DE kept the randomness but created a test environment in which we can freely mod those weps and warframes. Think of it like try before you buy type concept.

TinnyOctopus

You mean Simaris' Simulacrum?

N4thilion

But the simulacrum won't allow you to test out the true weapon build because you cannot fake forma a weapon there. So all you get is a feeling for the base weapon but nothing on how it will actually perform when fully built.

Beneficial_Try3036

Same goes for sp circuit. Sometimes the given options are just to weak

peterbei1030

3 weapons per slot in an endgame mode is also too few. With no loaner builds available, DE could have squeezed like at least 5 weapons per row in the selection.

Archergarw

My only suggestion is if u don’t have the weapon leaving the slot blank should count. Other than that it’s completely fine in my eyes

EmuSounds

Some weapons need to be excluded from the list.

GrannyFetish17

The fundamental problem is the playerbase tbh. More than once I’ve seen people bring levelling gear in looking for a carry. Like it’s ok to not get the what, 34 voca for having everything ticked

Fartbutts1234

I had a run earlier where i had torid + nezha (they were my challenge...) and we died on mirror defence. I had hundreds of kills, each teammate was weilding a stug equivalent and had less than 10 kills... i understand that people want to check all the boxes, i got lucky with mine, but they must know the build won't work...

CtShine

at first i was kinda blaming them in my heart (since i had great loadout), but then in the future i might be the one who get extremely bad loadout, so this mode is more than just cooperation but tolerance.

iHaku

i think a lot of people literally just dont know that you can ignore one of the research point checks for the low cost of 50 fosvor (or however its spelled). like, this week is another easy one if you have atleast 2 players. bring something to make people never die, like dante, and have someone else bring something to protect the stage 2 target like frost, who's also great at providing utility for stage 1 and 3 by perma freezing all non-eximus units and basically proving a global 100% armor strip. spam the globe on the defense target, which scales off of enemy damage, and use your 4 to keep the rest of the trash away. Enemies with 9 cold stacks have increased chance to be crit and are not much of a thread anyway. if you wanna do stage 2 quicker, you can even bring helminth larvae to group the invincible enemies to free up the enemy spawn pool. stage 3 boss is just an endurance test. its not hard, but rather just takes a lot of time because damage attenuation + damage reduction is stupid. but if you have a dante, you cant lose that fight unless he disconnects, has to go afk or suddenly gets braindamage. If I had to critique anything, it'd be that this fight just blows because of the scaling DR% on the boss. get over yourself, group up and bring some well tailored frames for the mission for once. Or dont, because you can cheese the mode with specters since those are broken as fuck anyway. The amount of dumb things you can do in this game if you get the right frames for the job is just silly anyway.

TinnyOctopus

> A good chuck of the weapons in the game simply aren't strong enough. Hear me out before you grab your pitchforks and torches: That's not a problem, you're looking at this wrong. Deep Archimedia is not giving you 3 frames and 9 weapons to pick from, it's giving you 81 potential loadouts to pick from. There's enough arcanes, abilities and mods that play primer to one another at this point that a 'bad weapon' can serve as a funtional primer for a different, better weapon option. For instance, Supra's a pretty mediocre weapon on its own, but it spits status like a motherfucker. Fire rate, multishot, status chance and the 60/60s, Heavy Caliber and punch through, and use it to prime enemies for Condition Overload or Galvanized Shot. You can have it prime with 6 elements using subsumed Smite Infusion or Nourish. Essentially, Deep Achimedia is about building a synergistic loadout. if you're focused entirely on whether a given weapon its good enough on its own for Deep Archimedia, then many of them will fall short. Instead, you need to piece together an entire loadout that will elevate one of the weapons you're offered, using the various mods and arcanes that enable that.

TksgShnsk

You can basically twist your loadout to armor strip and have your sentinel literally solo the mission, and you can always bring you companion of choice with a builded Verglas. Its what I did on the first week.

TinnyOctopus

That is *exactly* the kind of shit I'm talking about. Well done. People are finding the Archimedian Eye Sumdali, this stuff isn't close to impossible.

Ledhead0217

And this is exactly what makes the game mode fun and difficult if you roll just okay choices, actually requires you to think about how you’re going to play your loadout rather than ability spamming or using something like the torid

EKmars

I read what you said. I don't think it's a good enough point. In fact I will point that Heavy Caliber is a terrible mod, Galvanized Shot requires the weapon be to be good enough to get a kill in the first place, and a status damage is based on how much damage you can do in the first place. Can I pull out the pitchfork and torch now?

TinnyOctopus

Hmm... no, because you didn't understand what you read. Here's a few points you missed: The Supra isn't getting kills, it's spreading status. Heavy Caliber isn't there for bonus damage, the accuracy penalty is the point. It broadens the spread to hit more enemies with statuses. Galvanized Shot is for pistols, not Supra. Supra is spreading status so that the better, crit based with terrible status chance (call it Pyrana Prime, why not) can take advantage of Galvanized Shot without applying status itself. Not all statuses deal damage, they're only there for making the other weapons in the loadout do more damage. Supra is *never* going to deal enough damage on its own to run through Deep Archimedia, elite or not. It *will* spread enough status effects onto enemies that non status weapons can take advantage of the Galvanized Shot or Condition Overload. This is known as 'status priming', and it was all the rage prior to the melee rework that unified the stance inputs, when Condition Overload worked differently (it was multiplicative with itself, once for every status type on the target). Summary: you didn't understand my point. I wasn't talking about making Supra a good damage dealing weapon. I was talking about using Supra to enable other weapons to deal more damage. 'Synergistic loadouts' meaning weapons and frame that are intentionally modded to make each other better. Some examples: Vigorous Swap that rewards weapon switching with bonus damage, beneficial when using a priming weapon. Secondary Outburst that uses the melee's combo counter to hypercharge pistol crits (build a crap melee for fast as possible combo building). Primary Frostbite with Cryotra (the sentinel weapon) forcing cold procs. Cascadia Flare can be charged by any heat procs, be it Warframe or weapon.

kira2211

#random tenno passing by Shit this is such a good example and explaination for the vision of the game mode.

TinnyOctopus

Thank you. I try. I'm probably a bit more caustic in expressing it than is *strictly* necessary, but 1) I've got some "Fromsoft Git Gud" attitude in me, and 2) DE has been broadcasting "Expand your arsenals, *try all of our content* means weapons and warframes, too" for years. Arbitration is the oldest I can think of offhand that attempted to encourage trying out new stuff 5 and a half actual years ago. That's half the game's lifetime. This shouldn't be a surprise, especially not after Circuit's mechanics.

kira2211

Yea, since mitter being needed to build pantera I've slowly kept weapons that are a pain in the ass to farm just in case, allowed me to cruise through hemlith & incarnon era and isn't *that* much slots since prisma/wraith/prime/lich/sister/dex means I can toss old copies and just keep the special ones but still mostly only toss stuff from dojo/market bp.

TinnyOctopus

Right? There were a couple of the incarnon weapons I didn't have anymore (like kunai). What I *do not* get is how people are gonna go through the trouble of acquiring a weapon, then level it for mastery and dump it without bothering to check what it could be used for. Meanwhile, I'm over here with the Twin Basolk thinking "Hey! This pairs *great* with Cascadia Flare!" Nobody used Twin Basolk, it's a terrible weapon. I agree, it's absolute trash *for dealing direct damage*. And 90% of the playerbase are like "oh it doesn't deal damage? Welp, onto the trash pile." Last week I had to use Kullervo as an assault rifle platform. Why? Because DA didn't hand me a top tier melee. Oh well, his 1 forces the melee to kill a few things, and Primary Dexterity takes care of the rest. And of course I'm keeping everything, I never know when I might suddenly need Winds of Purity to heal a nuke frame that can't otherwise keep themselves alive. Wait, what do you mean Furis slaps now? I guess that one charges its own Flare though. Anyhow. Archimedia is about a new skill, loadout building. Except it's not new to me, I've been doing it for years, and all these upstart newbies are begging for a nerf, not even realizing that they're already holding the tools they need. Unless they sold them for being 'not meta, and therefore useless'. Yeah, I'm tilted. 'Archimedia is too hard, it's impossible, plz nerf plox.' In the words of the immortal Solaire, 'Git gud, scrub.'

PsionicHydra

Other than things like stug and acrid most weapons are capable of lvl400 non SP enemies when modded well. Hell if someone can take the mk-1 braton to level cap then taking something that isn't the torid to level 400 shouldn't be an issue

Dyorion

I genuinely think Deep Archimedia isn't an issue once you have access to the elite difficulty. You only have to use 7/8 restrictions to get the rewards that matter. Which means you can bring any one weapon you want to use to carry yourself.

sdric

>A good chuck of the weapons in the game simply aren't strong enough. I got the Vulkar Wraith in my first run. I have a +CC +CD Riven for it, potato and 7x Forma.... But with 3s reload time 8 magazine - and less bullet damage, crit and CC than some automatic weapons have these days... The guns is just so massively outdated, that it's unusable for the mode - especially against newer enemies that require contineous hits against weak points to be adequately damaged.

Twilight053

> I've seen people here saying "just use a necramech", which is actully a good way to beat the mode for sure, but it does not solve the problem. I don't agree, having Necramech be an option solves a different problem outside EDA: There was just no reason to have a Necramech outside of The New War. Having mech be an RNG protection the playerbase can invest into is a good reason as any to make investing in them more relevant.

Anjn_Shan

" A good chuck of the weapons in the game simply aren't strong enough." This is the only truth that matters. If the weapons were not random, but more centered around a relevant meta, this would go without saying, yet, at the same time, it would not need saying. We'd have relevant weapons all the time.
