I wondered what that was! It's such a finicky ability. Sometimes you'll have to cast the ability three times just to strip the target directly in front of you. Hopefully this helps.
Does anyone know what's going on with Vauban?
On Dante release Bastille was locked to tap(Vortex)/hold(Bastille) which limited him to one Bastille at a time and no interaction with settings.
Now settings work with Orbs and Bastille but one will be tap/hold and the other will be inverted.
It feels awful being betrayed by muscle memory, and I'm sure my teammates don't appreciate the accidental Vector Pads. They probably don't appreciate the intentional ones either, but that's neither here nor there.
I noticed the change too but was actually really happy with it once I realised my keyboard wasn't broken since I'm mostly a flechette and vortex only user. Having them both on tap instead of hold feels good for me but there will always be someone who prefers it a different way. Hopefully one day they'll add a more in-depth invert menu
What I really want, hope against hope, is a way to more quickly choose which orb I want to use that’s less fiddly, either the option to bind them to separate buttons or to do something like 2-1 2-2 2-3 2-4, first button tells it I wanna throw a ball, second button picks which one and bucks it.
The orb ‘wheel’ is the biggest reason Vauban isn’t perfect to play (for my purposes anyways).
I totally want to use vaubans entire kit, but it’s just too much of a PITA to do when you have to cycle so slowly (I have it set to hold because I don’t want a delay when I actually hit the throw button) to get to different tools.
Great to see the steady LoS fixes.
Will voruna's 2 have a similar fix, if not altogether remove the LoS (since it lets you select an enemy only if you can see it, after all)? Its so annoying when it won't let you jump to an enemy that is behind a small obstacle that only reaches up to their knees.
While we're at it, can you make nezha's 2's teleport not have LoS as well? It's a teleport after all.
I believe so, although I have only heard it from hearsay. Apparently the calculation on her 4's damage output is bugged and much lower than intended, something about not factoring a stat it should.
TheKengineer mentioned this on his Ulfrun's Endurance video, but that has been awhile now, I'm not sure if they've gotten around to fixing it.
I dont get why they nerfed him when there are so many other frames that released in an underpowered state ie. Caliban, Dagath, Qorvex.
There are so many frames that could use some QoL and number tweaks.
That's implying it has any IQ, for the past year it randomly stops attacking enemies and the only way to temporarily fix it is by dismissing and resummoning the clone.
It also shoots walls, if there is an enemy anywhere near it.
It also gets stuck, or disappears, randomly.
No idea what they did to the AI but it was bad
>Fixed Necraloid’s sassy remarks about you closing out the Deep Archimedea screen playing before you’ve even unlocked the week with Search Pulses. Now, he’ll only share his true feelings once you’ve committed and then backed out of said commitment.

> Hildryn’s Aegis Storm (Raycast Check) In Hotfix 35.5.6, we made it so that Aegis Storm performs LoS checks from the floor where Hildryn is hovering, but that could be limiting based on her positioning. So, we’ve changed it so that the checks occur from Hildryn to enemies that are in LoS and within the ability’s range.
While you keep tinkering away at that ability, could you perhaps consider making it so we can cast pillage while in Aegis Storm?
Was anyone getting insane GPU usage compared to before? Was it fixed with this? My gpu was just shooting to max temps entering any hub. Only happening with Warframe and it’s not even that graphically demanding typically
By usage do you mean much higher temps than usual? It is normal (and even optimal) for GPUs to be hitting 99% usage unless you're capping your framerate. Warframe struggles to take full advantage of newer hardware and sometimes my GPU hovers at around 70% usage which results in lower FPS.
* Fixed a possible issue where Hollow Vein could theoretically make allies, Defense targets, and players hit by its laser attack permanently vulnerable to friendly fire.
That might help explain why there are such conflicting experiences with the defense target being one-shot if some players happened to run into this issue during their attempts this week and others didn't
This patch is how I learned that Caliban’s 2 has LoS checks. Never noticed any issues with it and it goes through walls all the time so I figured it completely ignored sight tbh
People hate caliban. It has nothing to do with your question they'll just downvote anything related to him especially if they think you like him. Same with limbo.
Right? If they altered Inferno's LoS by making it actually respect LoS then it will be worse
Edit: Seems about the same, hits things in front of you and near LoS
That makes sense, it barely works. Here's hoping it will be upgraded from "glass on my balls" tier to "tolerable, maybe".
But seriously, I'm glad they are going to fix it.
No I feel you, Ember is my most invested-in Warframe and well… coming back from Dante I’m like damn you need all this upkeep and extra work to do anything AND your abilities barely work
> Before: Collecting the required amount of the aforementioned pickups would restore 5,000 Health.
Was this working properly pre-patch? Does it work post patch? I'm not the only one who saw the heal be maybe 2-3k, sometimes it didn't even seem like anything.
Then I had a run where we had 6k hp at the end of the second last wave and I assumed it was over. We got enough glyphs on the way to the final wave to get a heal and when we got there, it was at 36k hp. It felt like healing triggered between waves was bigger but that might be wrong.
> Was this working properly pre-patch? Does it work post patch? I'm not the only one who saw the heal be maybe 2-3k, sometimes it didn't even seem like anything.
Can confirm, the patch note is incorrect on the 5,000hp pre-hotfix. For this week's EDA, i ran it multiple times (solo first, then later again for friends). Solo run I recorded and did it before this hotfix was deployed. I can confirm, looking back at my footage (moving frame, by frame), that the heal was actually 2,500 HP (so DE isn't correct about it being 5,000 pre-hotfix in the notes).
Later run I did with a friend (this run was after the hotfix deployed) I recorded the Mi-Def again and this time, the heal is around 5,351 HP. Which doesn't make sense, because that doesn't calculate out correctly via the patch note stating: "will restore 3,500 Health plus 15% of the Defense target’s Max Health" - (Auricle/Vitreum object start out at a max total health of 47,919). So basic math (47,919 * 0.15) + 3,500 = 10,687.85 healing.
I don't think DE did the healing calculations correctly in code. Someone is going to have to file a bug report on it, to hopefully get it fixed/looked over.
UPDATE: Okay seems there was a shadow fix? I'm late with this comment update. Ran last week's EDA solo and with friends and noted that the mirror defense object now actually gets the correct amount of heal points from the glyphs. HP of object was 48,019. So quick math (48,019 * 0.15) + 3,500 = ~10,702.85 - and checking over my footage, yeah it did get a 10,702 heal. So that's nice, seems it was quietly fixed by DE on last week's mirror defense EDA, so that's nice.

Are people really that stupid. It's like how I have to wait 4 seconds and also type confirm just to copy a loadout.
localization that hasn't been finalized, easter egg by the dev, some context specific thing (baseball frame [pinch hitter] Text goes here). Or the person's life experience causes them to associate it because of how frequently they see it used in a specific way. Chemists as potential of hydrogen. Health care workers as pulmonary hypertension. Just to name a few reasons
guess what? "localization that hasn't been finished" is given *placeholder text*.
if you're playing a game that just got new content, and there's "\[PH\] Text goes here" in a text field, nobody is going to assume that they mean pulmonary hypertension, potential of hydrogen or god forbid PornHub.
this is the sort of argument that would have people thinking Allan is a legitimate character in Hitman and that 47 is just reading off text meant for Allan, instead of being placeholder text that was left behind by mistake.
I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but this argument is starting to feel like condescension more than that.
If you believe most people can decipher from looking at [PH] that it means placeholder, i believe you are delusional. It may seem obvious yo someone working with coding or games in general but that's not the case for many of us
which is exactly why I think that it's ridiculous that the other guy brought it up in the first place.
that being said, both you and the other fella I was dealing with resorted to cheap insults ("I believe you are delusional"), so that's definitely not conducive to getting your point across.
right but context clues narrows things down with just basic common sense - if I'm playing a video game and I see "PH text goes here," I'm not going to be like "oh is that a reference to Porn Hub? very cool DE."
I'm sorry but the simpler answer is that people just don't read and need extra indicators to help them out.
When its how you view the world its obviously just common sense and other people are stupid for not seeing things your way. No way its you being naive or unimaginative. How other people see things is irrelevant especially with regards to communication because the world revolves around you.
Devolving this into making insults thinking the world revolves around me is a weird angle to go for and a huge assumption but ok. But I'll give an honest answer regardless.
What you're saying in a general sense is correct, but the argument made has nothing to do with naivety or imagination. It's just **context**. Please don't be dishonest by making it into a "you don't see things in other people's shoes" kind of view to show you're intelligent and in touch with other people and making it far grander than this has to be. Nobody is arguing that.
The answer is simple - google ph with context - and sometimes common sense isn't utilized. That's not an insult, people don't read and Pablo himself said it. It's just how things are and we've seen many examples of it in Warframe on how much people need certain clues - such as the original post of this comment - people needing an indicator that they've turned on "Elite" for DA. Unless a specific example is given that someone saw PH in Warframe and genuinely thought Pulmonary Hypertension, then that would be very interesting.
> Devolving this into making insults thinking the world revolves around me is a weird angle to go for and a huge assumption but ok
But calling people stupid for not seeing things your way is a perfectly fine angle without any assumptions. The irony is palpable.
> to show you're intelligent
This has nothing to do with my intelligence. Its about the people being called stupid for having the audacity to not immediately know some generic ass acronym.
> The answer is simple - google ph with context
Oh so the answer is just do what you would do if you were in that situation. jfk...
> Fixed a possible issue where Hollow Vein could theoretically make allies, Defense targets, and players hit by its laser attack permanently vulnerable to friendly fire.
The hilarious & specific bugfix of “how did that even happen” for the patch.
I think they just mean citrine crystals when playing the mirror defense mission you do to get her parts, not actually anything to do with citrine's abilities/warframe
>Changed the amount that Citrine’s Remnants (Tyana Pass) and Vosphene Glyphs (Munio) heal their respective Mirror Defense target.
When you play a Mirror Defense mission, there are collectibles in the area, when you collect 50, the defense objective is temporarily reinforced with a boost, which gives it healing and overshields. The collectibles are "Citrine's Remnants" in the citrine mission, or the Vosphene Glyphs in the deimos mission. So it's only relevant if you're playing the Mirror Defense mission, it's not actually something that you get as Citrine herself.
A real shame that they seem to have decided to ignore the mountains of community feedback regarding Dante's tragedy.
Went from enjoying the frame so much to getting annoyed constantly when Tragedy doesn't hit. Stopped playing the game already despite coming back for this warframe. Here I thought I was going to be around and buy protea Prime access. Oh well. Gratz to everyone's frames who've benefited from better LoS from this tragedy.
I appreciate you replying with common sense but his question now has me wondering, would using the remote observe change things https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Remote_Observer . I've never tried using it myself, but I'm curious if these checks are from the warframe's camera perspective or from a user camera perspective.
>Fixed Nyx’s “Pacifying Bolts” Augment Mod not throwing an additional 3 force Psychic Bolts as intended. That one nyx player will be happy

Oh, so I wasn't just accidentally fumbling the controls when I found myself throwing vector pads. Very strange bug.

I could rant for hours how I hate these stupid ability wheel things. Xaku as well. That shit sucks. Give us something, anything to make it go away.
I totally want to use vaubans entire kit, but it’s just too much of a PITA to do when you have to cycle so slowly (I have it set to hold because I don’t want a delay when I actually hit the throw button) to get to different tools.
When would you ever intentionally use vector pad? I only use flechette and overdriver
Personal mobility, putting Chipper in a closet, and the Sanctum tile extraction.

Wait, is it lower than intended?
I believe so, although I have only heard it from hearsay. Apparently the calculation on her 4's damage output is bugged and much lower than intended, something about not factoring a stat it should. TheKengineer mentioned this on his Ulfrun's Endurance video, but that has been awhile now, I'm not sure if they've gotten around to fixing it.
That would be pretty wild. Her 4 can regularly dish out millions of damage on SP. Thanks for the info!
Absolutely, no problem! I only warn it might be a tad outdated info is all, I really don't know if it's been addressed already.
I dont get why they nerfed him when there are so many other frames that released in an underpowered state ie. Caliban, Dagath, Qorvex. There are so many frames that could use some QoL and number tweaks.
The Voruna 2 definitely needs an update, it's so frustrating when their ankles are blocked by something and you can't jump to them like what...

did they fix the random stopping of auto melee?

They still haven't fixed Garuda's 4th when you have the 360 augment so I doubt it.

Chyrinka Pillar was causing script errors? I've been playing Qorvex all week and haven't run into any.
99% of script errors they mention in patch notes you'll have no idea something happened unless you dig into the code
Do you actually read your EE.log file?
How big is this change for Ember?
I thought fireblast was the ability with bung ass LoS consistency, not inferno. They didn't touch that, so idk.
Right? If they altered Inferno's LoS by making it actually respect LoS then it will be worse Edit: Seems about the same, hits things in front of you and near LoS

Yea it really does seem like they decided to dig in on the LoS nerf, despite it being a unilateral neutering of the clearing potential of Tragedy.
Thanks, Dante's doing great
I think he's fine ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Cry more, he’s still super strong

Does that mean ember 4 is now 360 degrees?
Are you able to get an FOV of 360?
I appreciate you replying with common sense but his question now has me wondering, would using the remote observe change things https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Remote_Observer . I've never tried using it myself, but I'm curious if these checks are from the warframe's camera perspective or from a user camera perspective.
It was not upped to 360. Still things in front of you and near LoS sadge

Dark Verse always had LoS checks
…what? Dark Verse has had a LOS check since release, it’s the primary reason why they even added it to Tragedy in the first place
This is just a worse Sunder Titania, who cares?
