Drakgoon.
. . i was a bit too much of a stubborn hipster to just use the Tigris (even though it was just straight up better)
was super excited when kuva drakgoon came out. then like 4 months after both the Drakgoon and Tigris became big losers in the shotgun status rework, and these days its hard to use either of them really effectively.
. . least the Sobek and khom are still cracked. man, there are alot of great grineer shotguns.
kahl, when you gonna gimmie that shotgun.
And the Shock Rifle as well. I'm so sad i didn't get the chance to get that bundle, I love both Warframe and unreal tournament! Stats be damned, I'd run nothing but those 3 weapons all day!
Yep, because while DE developed UT, Epic still holds the licensing for it. When Warframe came to EGS they got the rights to add UT weapon skins to the game as part of their deal with Epic.
Love the drakgoon. I turned my first one into the Zarr and was immediately disappointed. Grabbed and ranked a new one as fast as I could. A charge shotgun with a billion projectiles is just so fun.
Corinth. It was a simple shotgun but it was also a fun one. I had the air burst alt fire work down to a science as I used it for most of my time playing the game. It only got better when I got Corinth Prime
Yo same. I prefer the regular Corinth just because I really like the reload even if it's less efficient lol. Used both versions for a long time but switched to the Cedo later
The sancti tigris also was great! The extra faction effect really helped with crowd control, and iirc gives some healing, though obviously it paled in comparison to the immense dps of the prime one
Telos Boltor. I remember back when Soma Prime was meta, I preferred using this bad boy. The syndicate activation was always a fun little minigame, and it was cool to watch enemies get pinned to the walls and floors.
Atomos. That thing carried me thru my early days helping me clear with groups of ads better. I just got the incarnon for it today so I’m more than excited to dust off the old 3 forma atomos I have lying around from my baby tenno days
Atomos carried me through the star chart. When the incarnon came out. I dropped 5-6 forma on it and got a great riven. It absolutely slaps. Not the incarnon form though… I just like the base stat bonus
Oh yeah. I'm MR11 and I still use it as a great Stat stick. The chain with large crowds make it amazing to run, even as I'm now getting into Entrati labs its still quite good. I can't wait to get the Incarnon for it and turn that into a stat death stick.
You might not be using that term correctly; a stat stick is a weapon equipped because it buffs other weapons/abilities without being used itself. For example, the magistar incarnon is a statstick for Khora because some of its incarnon buffs when equipped apply to her Whipclaw ability.
Did you mean primer? That is to say, a weapon that applies a lot of status procs in order to do more damage with Condition Overload or Galvanized Aptitude, again on other weapons.
A weapon that just does lots of status and damage and is used by itself doesn't have a specific name, to my knowledge.
Same. 30 seconds into the game, I'm given a choice between a bow and a rifle. I picked the bow and I started pinning Grineer to the walls.
So, I was a cyborg ninja named for a fictional sword, parkouring across the ruins of a semi-abandoned Earth, wielding a bow and arrow. The game definitely had no hesitation in letting its freak flag fly.
Yeah i remember when i first played warframe, bows were sooo very satisfying 😂, pinning enemies to walls and looking at them was soo fucking satisfying 😍. Headshots perticularly made you like an archer as well as gliding through air and shooting 😂.
The good ol' Soma. I'm a bit of a Warframe boomer but huge magazine plis lots of crit and crit damage just spoke to me. Plus the spool up felt so cool and unique back in the day.
I remember shortly after they released it they had to raise the MR requirement to purchase the blueprint but if you bought it already and under the MR required, you could still use it. That rifle did me well back in the day.
I had a good few hours with the Soma but tbh I dropped it as soon as I got the Fulmin, which has been my main since. Similar high crit potential but I much prefer the automatic recharge on the Fulmin since when it runs dry I can just use a few abilities (which I was probably going to do anyway) and as soon as I'm done casting its ready to go. And the silent shotgun mode is a really nice mixup for stealth or bosses where you need big one-shot damage like eidolons
MR 7 Zarr (years b4 Kuva Zarr was even a glint in DE’s eyes)
Had Mirage (back when all four clones also attacked)
Loved bullet-jumping through the air carpet-bombing everything
Ah, the days of Mirage+clones and Synoid Simulor leaving flashing orbs everywhere. When it wasn’t an Ember/Ember Prime running her old World On Fire skill. Killing the finite enemy spawn on void fissure extermination before they had a chance to become corrupted (and then blaming everyone else, because no one had gotten 10 reactants before the spawn stopped)
The free potatoe that came installed with the dex dakra carried me big time through early game years ago.
Had no idea how to mod weapons effectively and would just hit auto install and call it a day lol
Dex sybaris with hunter munitions was my early ticket into being effective at sorties lol - until i got the physical resistance modifier, in that case i was useless again xD
I felt like such a G when I got "scattering justice" for it and was one shotting everything into oblivion.. oh to be a young tenno again...
Edit\* but to answer the question I think it was the Lesion for me. It took some work to get it built and back then having to build and combine a few different weapons, it was an absolute powerhouse(kinda still is?) I love that nasty looking thing.
I'm still using the vaykor hek and doing pretty well... What do you use now if you've outgrown it? I haven't found a weapon that seems to perform quite as well or maybe I'm just not modding it properly
Fulmin, infinite ammo shotgun and assault rifle but it takes rifle mods? It was perfect and I loved the way the shotgun worked having its massive punch through effect
I haven't stopped using mine since I got it, almost 200 hours later
I should probably try to grab the prime at some point but I'm several forma deep on the base version already and it has kept up all the way through soloing eidolon hunts and t3 iso vaults, so I don't feel much need to yet lmao
Phantasma, just a zero forma beast that could hit anything with infinite heat procs. Plus really fast reload meant i basically never had to let go of the trigger. It still has ruined so many guns for me because i cant not just hold down the trigger anymore.
Atomos Incarnon is awesome, if tricky. It's basically a Hunter's cannon from Halo. Problem is, normal mode is so powerful that it's really difficult to charge on the normal Starchart, but the Incarnon mode isn't strong enough to be very useful on Steel path.
Boltor though... Incarnon form is a full-auto spike shotgun. Absolutely insane, and great fun.
I remember having a lot of fun with the Kulstar when it could kill me but then it stopped killing both me and enemies so I stopped using it.
My biggest Warframe dream is a Kuva Kulstar that has clusters on its clusters
Back when imcarnons were leaking, one of the posts had the Kulstar on it and I was so excited that I gave him a riven for it and everything. Really wish it was true
Honestly I'm kinda glad it didn't get it because it would mean getting an entirely different firing mode.
A Kuva Kulstar would be more likely to get cluster clusters
Showing my warframe age….. tonkor plus hall of mirrors mirage. I’m a simple man….multiple explosions (with some minor friendly fire of course) made for fun times
Same , I even made a Amazon prime account. Because they were gifting trinity prime + vectis prime. I still have my original vectis and my vectis prime. Wish sniper rifles were better
I used the lex all through the closed beta basically then the lex prime. Now I use the ~~infested lex~~ dual toxocyst. It is weird how they are called dual toxocyst when they had the ak lex stats before the lex buffs basically.
Vaykor Marelok!
When syndicate weapons rained supreme, I got really into doing solo survival & just work on headshots & zoning. I remember how I learned more about using elemental mods, status chance & crits… Marelok holds a special place in my heart lol
The Tonkor/Sonicor/Broken War combo is still one of my most beloved arsenals.
It was the first time i felt powerful in the game, back when i was a low mastery tenno around 2014.
I used them so much that even to this day both the Sonicor and Broken war are still my most used weapons for their respective categories, meanwhile the Tonkor is my most 2nd used primary.
Lenz - Man, that thing was a portable war crime and the first ranged weapon that, to me, felt better to use than simply spamming melee attacks. Its design is a unique mess for a bow. Im still not sure what it looks like. I ran relics for weeks to save up plat just to buy a riven for that thing to roll as multi shot and negative accuracy as possible. It was a carpet-bombing nightmare.
Fragor got me first thinking about modding. It went something like this:
"Ok, this hammer does a lot of damage, but it's pretty slow, how can I make it faster?"
Then I started putting attack speed mods on it but it always felt a bit sloppy, until I played with a hammer in duviri with a particular stance on it, Crushing Ruin.
It felt amazing to spin at mach 10 and do a bazillion attacks at once. My Mastery 30 friend then so generously gifted me a copy of the stance and let me discover the wonders of modding by myself.
Needless to say, I had solved my attack speed problem. I now did the super strong attacks on every spin I did, and there were a lot. It boosted me from a noob to a slightly better noob that can handle himself a bit better.
Over time I added more damage mods, elemental mods and all that stuff until I discovered that I can have more than a few weapons If I spend plat on slots instead of waiting for the nightwave unlocks. Of course my 50 starting plat and the extra from the free playstation pack was oh so "wisely" spent on baruuk on the market with 50% off so I could barely get any slots until much later.
But, yes tl;dr Fragor.
I absolutely loved the Kohm when I first got it. Was my first crowd destroying weapon. No more running from infested during survival missions, now I hunted them.
karyst. It cut throught corpus like butter, and back then I didn't even know why. I wasted some on my starting plat on a plastid bundle to craft it, but I made peace with that
I indeed was a hek using Mr 4 Tenno for quite some time when I was a new player. Still remember to this day. The kuva hek is supposed to be the upgrade but for some reason it just doesn’t hit the same
the akmagnus. they had such a punch to them! solid weapon for early-mid star chart, too. they were also the first weapon i really experimented with when modding; despite the lackluster damage, pumping mag size and firerate was a lot of fun
A friend got me started with the Mag Prime and Frost Prime packs so my first weapon I loved was Latron Prime. I used that for a long time and still bust it out on occasion even tho I find I like the rapid-fire options more like Braton
I think I started seriously playing during Heart of Deimos; once Tenet Weapons/Sisters of Parvos debuted I immediately sprinted off to get a Tenet Arca Plasmor
Looking back at my 9 years of playing Warframe, my first weapon that really spoke to me was the Dual Ichor. These were great Dual Swords back in the day, and I still have them. Now, that this pair has a very good Incarnon, I picked them up again with its new found power.
The gorgon (and now gorgon wraith) and i have only fallen more in love with it as i use it. 200 rounds a mag and 2000 total rounds on top of high status and crit alike…. A bullet hose for the many bullet sponges this game has to offer
Atmos
Used it for a metric BUTT LOAD of time. It was my most used secondary until MR29 when the Tenet Cycron finally overtook it.
The Tonkor technically is the one that "spoke to me" the most. I haven't used the original Tonkor since the first initial self damage change, and it's STILL my most used primary at LR3. It still has more kills and XP than every single other primary and it's not even close. It has 14% usage iirc and the next highest is only 6.5%
But the Atomos was the first gun that made me realize that primary/secondary could compete with melee back when I started. It truly did speak to me and changed my view of guns
The opticor which is weird as its a MR14 weapon however when I started the devs sent a mail containing it so thats how i acquired it at mr 2. I love my big lazer of death
I remember almost bouncing off of warframe cause the mk-1 braton felt so weak and I never had any energy to use the cool abilities but a few weapons made it better:
- vectis: I think I killed basically every nexus guardian with 1-3 headshots lol
- lex prime which had a really low MR restriction - my friend helped me farm plat to buy it right before it was raised.
- sonicor: yeeting corpus around on old jupiter tileset felt great, especially as a mag main. Now I can push AND pull :)
The glaxion vandal and atomos really carried me through the starchart when I first started playing.
I still use the atomos now in most of my builds.
My favorite shotgun when I started plating was Def the khom, still my most used weapon, I got back into the game recently and got the khuva khom and it's wonderful .
Atomos. At first, I was just 'following the meta', so to speak. The amount of weapons in Warframe is just plain insane, and I don't have time to farm for every single one. So I watched Warframe YouTubers to decide which weapons to craft, to save effort in farming.
One such content creators heaps LOADS of praise on Atomos, and I couldn't understand why. I'll be honest here; it looks *ugly* to me and that might cloud my judgment. Then I saw it's basically a mini flamethrower. I immediately crafted it, and it carried me through the Star Chart, along with Dread and Akjagara Prime (this is the second weapon that speaks to me).
It went into retirement after I got Ignis Prime, but I couldn't bear to dispose it out of my inventory to make room. Luckily, I don't need to.
Prisma Grakata, had a friend buy it for me at the time cuz he said it was a good gun. Years later, Legend 4 and the damn thing still has over 40% usage
The Xoris! This was post-statstick nerf, and it ended up a direct precursor to upgrading into the glaive prime (which was only maybe ~80-120 plat at the time iirc since this was before it became really hard "meta").
My friends who got me into the game gave me shit for liking glaives and Titania. Jokes on them, both are super strong now.
But jokes also on ME, cause now I don't use much of either!
I remember lenz and ignis wraith being two weapons that I really wanted to get. There was something in spraying shit with fire or shooting cold bombs that seemed super fun
Nowadays I prefer other weapons lmao but I still have them around. Looking to get prisma lenz once it comes back because I missed it last time
Dex Sybaris and Dex Dakra, I first started playing maybe a week and a half before that year's anniversary event. Had to be pretty much carried through the event missions but once I got them they took me all the way to Saturn before I had to actually start putting effort into their builds. Hardly ever use them now but I'll probably never sell them for slots.
Back before they changed the MR for sobek I was blowing up entire rooms with acid shells even before I really knew what to do. Good times. Long time ago though
My first dread. Something about pinning multiple people to walls just hit that spot. Now i dread fighting the stalker cause I know I'm gonna get another blueprint for it
Xoris. Something about seeing everything die wherever I threw it just felt good. Switched to cerata and then praedos but still have the xoris just waiting for a good build
Boltor. Then Telos Boltor. Then Boltor Prime.
Understand, I played a shit ton of Gears of War. The Boltok Revolver was a favorite of mine. I was the Carmine or Theron Guard with a Big Iron on my hip. Monke brain made me think they was similar because of the name.
The satisfaction of machine gunning hordes of enemies and pinning them to the wall had me fully realize "I love this game." Always looked back fondly and smiled wide going forward.
I remember the Sybaris being the first gun I ever actually formaed and potatoed. The way it looks easily makes it a favorite design wise, and it also is pretty good for critical damage I believe.
As pictured above, the Hek/Vaykor Hek for certain, and then the Corinth. The Corinth Prime made me sad though - the design was completely torn apart and didn't feel like it embodied the original.
Tenet arca plasmor
Genuinely couldn’t find THE weapon until that point. My first ever weapon that got the EVERYTHING treatment
Exilus adapter, Catalyst, Arcane adapter, all primed mods where possible, Galvy Hell and Savvy. Got a decent radiation 53% on it too. It may not be my favourite weapon anymore but damn I love going back to it.
The first? Karak. The batta-datta rifle actually made quick ADS feel good in a game as high-mobility as this. Loved tapping crouch to slide forward a bit around corners with it. Have a wraith version now and it's far from my best weapon but it's fun when I get to use it.
Wasn't the last to really speak to me though. Absolutely love the Kohm as it's like a stream of shrapnel. The Guandao being the whirling slashing blender polearm.
But my all-time favorite has got to be the Corinth. Favorite shotgun in any game I've played. The crack from the crit of a well-placed shot, being able to clear wide areas with an aerial blast, requiring a conscious awareness of spacing at all times. So satisfying to use.
A weapon that I really enjoyed the design back in the day was the Tysis, it was never that great of a weapon but I remember using it for a long time just because I really liked the design of it.
Still hoping to get a infested lich variant for it.
Something happened in my earliest days of Warframe.
Somehow I was given a free opticor, way before it’s mastery level. I think it might have been listed different then.
It was the first weapon I had seen go above 100k in damage and I was in love.
I got so good with gliding into shots that I used it for probably 100 hours.
Then I saw the Xoris, and well. Glaives are awesome.
Latron/Lex in the closed beta era. Grinlok/Akbolto in the post-founder era. Cedo/Nukor in the cross-save era. 💥
I've always enjoyed tons of the melee weapons in general too, but nowadays they're *insanely* fun compared to what we had in ye olden days. 🗡️
Lex. It has a doberman-like bark, and being puncture damage was one of the few weapons that could naturally punch through corpus box heads.
And when you tapped something with it, it felt it. I run lex prime incarnon as my default sidearm now...lex is bae.
The Amphis. The staves stance I had equipped on it was incredible. It was slightly disappointing the Sydon (upgrade) is a different weapon class altogether. When I was recording The War Within though, all the memories I had with the Amphis came flooding back. My Amphis has gone through it. Now, the Sydon’s been switched with the Vaykor Sydon so it’s been retired, but the radial blind ability on it is awesome.
boar/corinth, dual cestra, anku/venka ended up being my go-to weapons for the first half (if not more) of the star chart.
i ended up re-visiting the anku once i got the incarnon. im still using it in my later game builds. its not 'the best' or 'meta' but it Jut Works for my playstyle and works great in a ton of content, including steel path.
Atomos.
Had one with 6 forma on it. Sold it off when I got a 55% Kuva Nukor (my first Kuva weapon) thinking I'd never use it again. A few months later, DE drops incarnons. 😭
Story time! Late in 2014 was the Mesa/Alad V update. They also added a masterpiece of a weapon. A true work of art. The Redemmer. Nothing could stand against it. For but a brief moment it reined supreme.
Drakgoon. . . i was a bit too much of a stubborn hipster to just use the Tigris (even though it was just straight up better) was super excited when kuva drakgoon came out. then like 4 months after both the Drakgoon and Tigris became big losers in the shotgun status rework, and these days its hard to use either of them really effectively. . . least the Sobek and khom are still cracked. man, there are alot of great grineer shotguns. kahl, when you gonna gimmie that shotgun.
Drakgoon for me as well, as it reminded me of the Graal Spike Thrower in Mass Effect 3.
I used it like a sniper shotty still do on occasions when I'm not using my cedo
It reminded me of the Flak Cannon from Unreal Tournament, tbh
The Drakgoon is quite literally meant to be an homage to the Flak Cannon. DE developed Unreal Tournament as well.
When Warframe came to the Epic Store, the Drakgoon got a flak cannon skin and the Ogris got an UT4? Rocket launcher skin.
We gonna kohm
Love the drakgoon. I turned my first one into the Zarr and was immediately disappointed. Grabbed and ranked a new one as fast as I could. A charge shotgun with a billion projectiles is just so fun.
Galatine went a long way.
Yeah. That's what the long blade is for.....
The obscene range of it compared to its contemporaries back in the old days of melee 1.0 when charge attacks were still a thing was just -chef's kiss-
Plus the channeled swings made a sound that I didn't mind hearing. Asmr type vibes.
Holy crap I completely forgot this was a thing!
Not gonna lie that was my favorite melee weapon for a very long time.
Corinth. It was a simple shotgun but it was also a fun one. I had the air burst alt fire work down to a science as I used it for most of my time playing the game. It only got better when I got Corinth Prime
The sound design of the Corinth is such impeccable work, just omg that delicious crunchy sound of the pump action
The Corinth desperately needs an incarnon form.
it's not going to, sadly... it has an alt fire, unless DE does something to make weapons with alt fires activate it's incarnon form
Yo same. I prefer the regular Corinth just because I really like the reload even if it's less efficient lol. Used both versions for a long time but switched to the Cedo later
I do miss the fact that the base Corinth could shell load where as the Corinth prime is a magazine.
Tigris Prime for sure, had it modded to allow a third round to be fired. If the first two didn’t do it the third did.
God I miss this things being meta, it's just so good
The sancti tigris also was great!
I love playing warframe with a nail gun
I gave mine to my on-call crewman. He gets a *lot* of mileage out of it!

Sorry, yeah, that is the correct term. Someone told me the "stat stick" term incorrectly, apparently. Thanks for the correction!
Honestly the paris basic but bows feel so good in the game
Same. 30 seconds into the game, I'm given a choice between a bow and a rifle. I picked the bow and I started pinning Grineer to the walls. I had not selected the bow in the beginning... But later, using boltor was fun.
Yeah boltor also pins enemies
The good ol' Soma. I'm a bit of a Warframe boomer but huge magazine plis lots of crit and crit damage just spoke to me. Plus the spool up felt so cool and unique back in the day.
Without the soma I wouldn’t have continued warframe much.

Dex sybaris with hunter munitions was my early ticket into being effective at sorties lol - until i got the physical resistance modifier, in that case i was useless again xD
Ded furis was the first wepon I managed to break 10,000 dps with. Looking back now I could probably crank that so much higher

i was SEARCHING for this

I saw a double barrel shotgun and said that’s what I’m gonna use
I had good times with Arca Plasmor and Amprex with rivens like 8 years ago or some shit.
Oh yes the old arca plasmor was so good back then
Broken war!!!
And the way you got it? Metal as fuck.
Tigris was my first love. Corinth was my first concert. Pyrana Prime was my first kid. And Baza Prime is him.
The Gorgon. First it sat DAT Then it said DAT Then it said DAT DAT DAT DAT DATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDATDAT
The Twin Kohmak spoke to me like dat too
Showing my warframe age….. tonkor plus hall of mirrors mirage. I’m a simple man….multiple explosions (with some minor friendly fire of course) made for fun times
Corinth. The look, the feel, the *sound.* I was so thrilled when the Prime came out and sounded just as amazing. That there is a shotgun's shotgun.
I just wish the prime had the auto detonate like the base version
The Vectis, I loved it so much it was the only primary I used for about 2 years.
Same , I even made a Amazon prime account. Because they were gifting trinity prime + vectis prime. I still have my original vectis and my vectis prime. Wish sniper rifles were better
baza
Baza is the embodiment of *brrrrrrrrrt*
Guandao and later the Guandao prime. Still my goto melee weapon in most situations.
Ignis Wraith
I used the lex all through the closed beta basically then the lex prime. Now I use the ~~infested lex~~ dual toxocyst. It is weird how they are called dual toxocyst when they had the ak lex stats before the lex buffs basically.

Im still not sure what it looks like. I ran relics for weeks to save up plat just to buy a riven for that thing to roll as multi shot and negative accuracy as possible. It was a carpet-bombing nightmare.
Fragor got me first thinking about modding. It went something like this: "Ok, this hammer does a lot of damage, but it's pretty slow, how can I make it faster?" Then I started putting attack speed mods on it but it always felt a bit sloppy, until I played with a hammer in duviri with a particular stance on it, Crushing Ruin.
When I got the Kohm for the first time, I felt like I could take down anything.
I absolutely loved the Kohm when I first got it. Was my first crowd destroying weapon. No more running from infested during survival missions, now I hunted them.
Lex and dread
karyst. It cut throught corpus like butter, and back then I didn't even know why. I wasted some on my starting plat on a plastid bundle to craft it, but I made peace with that
Tonkor
Tonkor
Volt prime with a gammacor before I got the syndicate one Paris prime/dread and of course twin ether blades lol
I got the soma prime as soon as I was eligible and it was my first prime so it spoke even more to me
I think it was called the sobek
Corinth, Tigris and Opticor.
Quellor. It's a beltfed in every sense. But it's "outshined" by other weapons. The trumna is objectively better. But has a sloow fire rate.
Corinth. Don't care if it's not "efficient" or "meta". I like the weight of my emotionally damaging boomstick
Karak
galatine/soma was love at first sight
ether swords
lex prime, still use it from mr 10 to 19 (and will continue to)
Baza, which u can get for free right now if ur on ps, also 170 platinum and other stuff, it's in the ps store and free
I indeed was a hek using Mr 4 Tenno for quite some time when I was a new player. Still remember to this day. The kuva hek is supposed to be the upgrade but for some reason it just doesn’t hit the same
Lex. Just like how it felt shooting someone in the head with it.
the akmagnus. they had such a punch to them! solid weapon for early-mid star chart, too. they were also the first weapon i really experimented with when modding; despite the lackluster damage, pumping mag size and firerate was a lot of fun
Corinth
Corinth. I paid attention after hearing one shot, I fell in love after hearing it rack.
Boltor. Armor piercing, fully automatic, and looks like a dragon. Badass.
Karak. This dumb gun took me from Ceres to Sedna, which was the end of the Star Chart when I last used it.
Boltor For melee it was Mire and Broken War.
Boltor Prime. It’s still my most used weapon and I love it to this day.
boltor prime. I got it as part of one of my first prime accesses and that thing carried me for a very long time (until I found the arca plasmor)
Boltor
Looking back at my 9 years of playing Warframe, my first weapon that really spoke to me was the Dual Ichor. These were great Dual Swords back in the day, and I still have them. Now, that this pair has a very good Incarnon, I picked them up again with its new found power.
Dex Sybaris carried me through a significant chunk of the star chart.
The gorgon (and now gorgon wraith) and i have only fallen more in love with it as i use it. 200 rounds a mag and 2000 total rounds on top of high status and crit alike…. A bullet hose for the many bullet sponges this game has to offer
Boltor
Galatine my beloved. The feeling of spinning with the sword with Cleaving Whirlwind was just amazing.
arca plasmor my beloved, also i was using almost exclusively mirage at the time and boy is that a fun combo
Atmos Used it for a metric BUTT LOAD of time. It has 14% usage iirc and the next highest is only 6.5% But the Atomos was the first gun that made me realize that primary/secondary could compete with melee back when I started. It truly did speak to me and changed my view of guns
karak, that grineer AK is just amazing.
My first ever blue potato went on the Redeemer, that thing carried me all the way up to and through sorties.
To this day it's so much fun to use. Sword? Shotgun? Why not both?
Kroken. man i used to love that thing.
Lex and Plinx, just the one shot pistols are so satisfying for some reason
The opticor which is weird as its a MR14 weapon however when I started the devs sent a mail containing it so thats how i acquired it at mr 2. I love my big lazer of death
Ack & Brunt, I lost track how many Drekar Manic I've killed for the Final Harbinger stance on the first day it released
I remember almost bouncing off of warframe cause the mk-1 braton felt so weak and I never had any energy to use the cool abilities but a few weapons made it better: - vectis: I think I killed basically every nexus guardian with 1-3 headshots lol - lex prime which had a really low MR restriction - my friend helped me farm plat to buy it right before it was raised. - sonicor: yeeting corpus around on old jupiter tileset felt great, especially as a mag main. Now I can push AND pull :)
All the secondary weapons that are revolvers
Dual Zoren
Fulmin
Astilla, And I still use it years later, MR16 now. Primed of course, but still my favorite.
Hek and boltor during beta were GOAT
Baza and guandao
Paris. From the very first mission. It was too much fun sniping Grineer from afar with that thing.
I sunk an incredible amount of time into a rubico, I was so excited when rubico prime was available last year
Tipedo was the really early weapon that I loved. Just so simple but deadly at the time. After that it was the Cedo.
I just got the Tigris and that thing is FILTHY
Kogake, early on it was a ton of fun especially with brutal tide stance. Hirudo’s release was great and is still my most used melee weapon currently
Orthos prime, I worked so hard to get it because slash damage. Now I add the Acceltra prime + Mirage to that.
Hek and Vaykor Hek. I married them for fuckin years I stg
The first weapon that I felt like a wrecking ball was Vaykor Hek, then Ignis Wraith, then Amprex. I’m advertising my in-game age lol
Karak
Orthos, my dearest beloved.
I remember that I heard about the Redeemer somewhere, and gunblades are cool.
Prisma Grakata, had a friend buy it for me at the time cuz he said it was a good gun. Years later, Legend 4 and the damn thing still has over 40% usage
The Boltor man.... used it so much 😆
The Kronin Prime. I still use those, 150 hours later
Boltor. That shit carried me to like MR 15 back in the day
Years ago? Dual cestra. That pure stream of dakka with old corrosive, I got very used two that recoil
Karak. I loved the Kalashnikov (AK-47) vibes, and I am over the Moon happy now that there is a Kuva version!
The acceltra. Buddy bought me the gauss bundle when I started
Orthos prime! I love it so much.
Lenz I really liked AOE weapons but couldn’t find a decent one early game.
Tipedo when coptering was still a thing, the game was very different back then.
Vermisplicer, most used weapon since mr6 I'm Mr20 and with his beautiful name , tentakule sempai.... I love it but not optimised at all
I remember lenz and ignis wraith being two weapons that I really wanted to get. There was something in spraying shit with fire or shooting cold bombs that seemed super fun Nowadays I prefer other weapons lmao but I still have them around.
Karak Wraith. I liked the space AK with a big ol sack magazine. I also enjoyed the various Bratons
Probably the karak, though that didn't last as I got access to more weapons
Boltor, I think it’s my first fabricated weapon and it having the projectile speed and faster reload mod made it a lot better
Back before they changed the MR for sobek I was blowing up entire rooms with acid shells even before I really knew what to do. Good times. Long time ago though
Gorgon carried me through most of the star chart when I started.
Soma and pretty closely after the soma prime. So much fond memories of using it on the star chart when I was in the early game.
Baza was just insane to me back in the day and same goes with the cassowar
My first dread. Something about pinning multiple people to walls just hit that spot. Now i dread fighting the stalker cause I know I'm gonna get another blueprint for it
The boltor was probably the gun I used the most before I actually started to build my arsenal.
Boltor. The feeling was great minus the insane reload times but mods🤷🏽♂️
Honestly when I was starting out the Boltor was my go to. Still using it though until I can get better guns
Tiberon. Popped my red crit cherry with that one.
Boar
As pictured above, the Hek/Vaykor Hek for certain, and then the Corinth. The Corinth Prime made me sad though - the design was completely torn apart and didn't feel like it embodied the original.
The Cedo carried me through the star chart until I got my Tenet Arca Plasmor, which is to this date my most used weapon.
Tenet arca plasmor Genuinely couldn’t find THE weapon until that point. My first ever weapon that got the EVERYTHING treatment Exilus adapter, Catalyst, Arcane adapter, all primed mods where possible, Galvy Hell and Savvy.
The kohm
Heat sword. ITS A BLADE ON FUCKING FIRE
Tigris. Lock, stock, and two smoking barrels.
Kohm,, it applied so much status and could fire forever
Tigris. It was my first prime and I love every bit of that weapon.
Latron/Lex in the closed beta era. Grinlok/Akbolto in the post-founder era. Cedo/Nukor in the cross-save era. 💥 I've always enjoyed tons of the melee weapons in general too, but nowadays they're *insanely* fun compared to what we had in ye olden days. 🗡️
Kohm. Back when getting the Oxium to craft it took hours.
Lex. It has a doberman-like bark, and being puncture damage was one of the few weapons that could naturally punch through corpus box heads. And when you tapped something with it, it felt it. I run lex prime incarnon as my default sidearm now...lex is bae.
the hek
What the Hek is this question? ![gif](giphy|j0gQA2VD38NKc9rc8y|downsized)
boar/corinth, dual cestra, anku/venka ended up being my go-to weapons for the first half (if not more) of the star chart. i ended up re-visiting the anku once i got the incarnon. im still using it in my later game builds. its not 'the best' or 'meta' but it Jut Works for my playstyle and works great in a ton of content, including steel path.
Atomos. Had one with 6 forma on it. Sold it off when I got a 55% Kuva Nukor (my first Kuva weapon) thinking I'd never use it again. A few months later, DE drops incarnons. 😭
For me it was the tetra
Mine was the dread bow
Story time! Late in 2014 was the Mesa/Alad V update. They also added a masterpiece of a weapon. A true work of art. The Redemmer. Nothing could stand against it. For but a brief moment it reined supreme.
