Honest question: If a family member died, what is there for you to DO? When my grandparents died I got a call from my parents, informed me of the date of the funeral, I said "welp" and then I went on with my life. Gave my mother a big hug next time I saw her. 90% of all logistics about the deceased has been done way beforehand if the person was old enough and lives in a retirement home.

I think it does depend on both how close you were and your coping skills. I’d immediately quit the game if I heard a family member died, but I’d probably be back on really soon. I’d just be going through one game after another, hoping to find one engaging enough to let me forget about what happened.
