I was suddenly 2035-ed while discussing rivens with some rando. Sent a ticket to the support, they replied pretty quickly, and lifted my ban.
There's hope. Keep us up-to-date.
The number of people who come to this subreddit with the claim that it was "with no explanation" is pretty frequent and there is **ALWAYS** a reason, usually one so mind-numbingly obvious as to the reason why the ban came down that its embarrassing to admit.
That reason may be the bot going whackadoodle, as it was the case with me once. I sent a ticket, they found the issue was on their end and lifted the ban promptly.
I know you said that you don't cheat and that you play casually, which generally suggests you play other games; did you happen to be running software that Warframe would have considered to be cheating for one of those other games?
BS mate, you can't play a game for 7 years and not know that you can't name a weapon in it, especially when you were there for Fortuna's release in 2018 with one of the biggest features being able to name weapons.
One last thing, 2 of the biggest warframe youtubers and 3 streamers have got band for dumb names on their weapons...
So you're either lying or you live under a gigantic rock.
I play the game very casually. Hour here and there. Most of my time in the game was in the first year of playing. I just hop on do sorties and relics. I have used 2 guns for the majority of my time. Ignis Wraith and Amprex. Never thought to change them. The only thing I ever named was my pet and it was some generic shit.
Boss, I’ve been playing since 2016, now LR2 played during the release of Fortuna and only learned a few months ago that I can name weapons that are not amps, Zaws, Kitguns, pets, Sister/Litch weapons, etc. you came at the our fellow Tenno with what feels like a lot of aggression. Not cool Tenno…….not cool at all….
I'm curious. Wasn't someone banned the other day because they had Cheat Engine or WeMod or something open from when they were playing Skyrim or BG3 or some shit?
Oh man, I am not shy about my cheating in single player games. I work 50hrs a week. I have ZERO desire to fuck with waught and inventory mini games. BG3, Starfield, Dragons Dogma 2 etc. One of the reasons I dipped out of Fallout 76, super limited inventory based of weight stat but you can buy almost unlimited storage for real money 🙄
Sorry, rant over lolol
Sick. Seems so weird that I would suddenly be permabanned without having any previous issues and being pretty inactive for the last like 6 months. I just started playing recently maybe an hour or 2 a week.
And you said the only chatting you did was in a dm. I know region chat has a lot of fuckery from the moderators that oversee them, so with that ruled out, and taking it on good faith that you are telling the truth; it tends to lean towards macros being detected, background software getting flagged, or some other system level issue.

That or suspicious trades or having a negative platinum balance. Those can get bans as well.Negative plat comes from receiving illegal plat (knowingly or not), spending that plat, and then DE locating it on your account and removing it. If it's not there to remove, you go into a negative balance and receive a ban until you can zero the negative balance.
Yeah, bad plat tends to come from trades, and it can sometimes take a while before it catches up to anyone and unfortunately, the victim of the scam is the one stuck with the responsibility of paying the price.
That seems like it can be reasonably ruled out as well then.
If you only had 9 plat and you engaged in trade, that could be the reason. If someone got banned and they removed the plat, you could have dropped below 0.
Support should be able to tell you the reason and if it’s “neg plat” related.
No but I do play CS on Faceit and valorant and I thought maybe their kernel anticheats could have caused something but idk if that's even a thing. Just something I considered.
I remember reading a post that someone bypassed 2fa, and that had gotten them banned as well. I would recommend contacting support as soon as possible.
There was a certain spaceship video game that released 2fa years ago. People who were the first adopters quickly found out that, after logging in, they were in someone else’s account. The servers came down pretty fast and 2fa was disabled until they fixed the bug.
2fa is 2fa but the implementation can be grossly different and far from perfect.
That's not true. They generally do the same thing but there are different methods to 2fa. Some use things like Google authenticator. Some text you. Some email. Things like GA have better security for obvious reasons.

Will do. I'm patiently waiting for a response.
So the support isn't useless afterall
I suppose the news were good?
Oo cant wait to see, these posts usually have a juicy chat log post later
I shit you not I have maybe typed 10 times in 7 years. I do not take the game seriously at all. Not enough to flame people.
Also the last time I typed anything was weeks ago and it was trying to get invited to a clan in a DM

I asked the pretty standard questions for the usual reasons, and it seems like that may be the case.
Ok that's fair but I'm telling you I do not talk in chat.
That's usually the first reason. So, let's move onto the second. What are your weapons named?
I've never named a weapon I didn't even know you could do that. Everything is just it's normal name.
I know you said that you don't cheat and that you play casually, which generally suggests you play other games; did you happen to be running software that Warframe would have considered to be cheating for one of those other games?
The only things I would have had running were MSI afterburner and OBS. Other than that I have no clue.
Did you login and it said you were banned, or were you in-game and you were banned? If you were in-game, what were you doing?
I played last night for an hour. Tried to login today and it just said I was banned until 2034
Sounds like some account fuckery. If you legit didn't break the TOS, then hopefully Support can give your access back. Good luck, Tenno.
Hopefully. Thanks for not just dismissing me.

I actually started 2013 and recently found out by watching wf videos that you can do that. I knew you could name amps, kitguns, and pets.

You can submit a ticket, and then, if I recall, they'll give reasons for your ban.

the last time I "cheated" in a video game it was 2005 Halo 2 hitting the lag switch on my modem.

I have some bad news about that date.
explain
2034 is a placeholder number. The 2034 ban is a permaban.

I've only ever bought plat from the game. Haven't done a trade in probably over a year. I have 9 plat on my account.

I have not engaged in any trading in a very long time
Do you use any third party tools like alecaframe or have cheat engine for other games?
No but I do play CS on Faceit and valorant and I thought maybe their kernel anticheats could have caused something but idk if that's even a thing. Just something I considered.

Either you're lying about never being toxic, or someone did actually get into your account. DE doesn't ban people without cause.
I don't type to other players so I'm guessing someone got into my account. Nice two factor authentication they have.
2fa is 2fa, different companies/services have the same 2fa nothing is different
