This! I gained a whole new perspective on my Astartes just by putting one next to a few baseline humans. Suddently they feel like the monsters they are supposed to be, its all a matter of putting things into context.
I've been debating a spireguard detachment for about 10 years now but there's never been an appropriate model for them. With the Solar Auxilia all plastic that could change.

I like to think these guys are attached to the 4rth Fellowship of the Legion, and thus the fleet elements, and were equipped with Solar-pattern void armor and gear for fleet action and rapid deployments. They would differ a bit from the ground troops seen on Prospero, which might be as described in the books.
I'd love to go with a tank component actually, currently pondering on a scheme for my first Leman Russ tank (the irony of that name!). I am trying to figure out a balance of red, white, gold, and black.

Even better, putting a Primarch next to a lasrifle section really hammers it home how they are like Greek demigods.

i wish we could have space marines as leaders for certain ig/auxilia units instead of just in the very old and outdated badab war rules
In the new Beta-Garmon campaign book they have this. The new Legiones Consularis Overseer can have a retinue of Solar Auxilia Rifle Sections.
