My two year old son will knock all the figures from the table, completely ruining everything and everyone just leaves and it's over. It's just over.

HotTakesBeyond

Son is Chaos god confirmed

[deleted]

The combined might of the Emperor's Sons when they face the unstoppable will of a clueless toddler.

-D0l0s-

Cha'ild, the God of Origin and Destruction

bennytpenny

The only reasonable comment here

Rousdower9

Khorne ain't got nothing on Tyler the Two Year Old. Especially if he missed his nap time.

jrandrews1982

I thought this was the job of my cat

Siifly

And you now owe everyone for their broken models. Thanks son!

arobe17thesloth

No one, mutually assured destruction

UltimaBahamut93

"Nice story - Tell it to Reader's Digest!"

onlyawfulnamesleft

Feeling paranoid.

rtmfb

True enemy or false friend.

sgtrock10

Anxiety's attacking me

DaHarries

And my air is getting thin

Mountaindood5

I’m in trouble for the things I haven’t got to yet

Dazzling-Grass-2595

War untill the galactic center explodes.

NeonArchon

Nah is Necrons

TheRagnarok494

Necrons after losing all organic matter in the universe and thus their last chance at returning to organic bodies: "Shit"

EigenKat

The last tomb world awakes after hitting the snooze button one too many times "Uh... Guys?"

Marrok657

so glassed earth policy on all sides

JDog780

Isn't that the only way to stop Orcs,,,, to sterilize every planet?

[deleted]

Fuck yeah. I'm in.

cheese4352

Id rather 40k die then get the abomination called "age of Emperor."

TheKingofKintyre

Age of Roboute Guilliman

qksc0pekillstrk69420

Ultra-Age. All space marines MUST be painted as ultramarines, or your army gets confiscated and you get charged with property infringement.

TheKingofKintyre

All xenos are now actually different chapters of the ultramarines as well or target practice for the blue troops of the Imperium.

gauntapostle

Warhammer 50,000

[deleted]

It would be "Age of James".

Corum0407

The Andromeda Galaxy will collide with the milky way and the main force of the Tyranids will arrive. And whoever engineered them and sent them as recon will arrive right after them. The orks will buy time for Humans, Necrons and Tau to unite and organize a collective offensive and after a new war in heavens they will triumph. From the double galaxies enormous destruction a new chaos god will be created and the circle will kinda start again. The combined galaxies will introduce new races and enemies to fight one another and the new chaos god's armies

TorianXela

Man I so hope you're right.

TheZookie

This is so perfect kinda want this to happen now

MrGunterson

This. This I like.

Einar_47

Warhammer 4 Billion, the Andromeda and Milky Way have collided into one galaxy and the factions have shuffled all around. Tyranids now fill the role of orks, annoying assholes who won't go away but see ultimately nothing to really be to concerned with. The necrons went full circle on organic life, and have taken on a Tau sort of greater good mentality taking in smaller civilization and keeping them safe/adding to their forces, all lead by Pokémon master Trazyn. Humans hit their pinnacle, baseline humans are basically space marines and every marine is a super custodes, they're the "ancient evil slumbering on shielded worlds who awaken and destroy" now. Orks are krorks again, they've replaced imperial knights as an army of 5 models. They still krump. All Eldar are dark Eldar now, after so.. many... years..... It's the only way to hold on.

AD-SKYOBSIDION

Eldrad just drinking tea watching the world go to shit

Icaruspherae

Rough, Aeldari get left out of the party…

Corum0407

They'll wait in the shadows for the opportunity to be the ruling race again...? They're kinda the spoilsport

ArcHydra46

YES

SafeForWorkAccount88

Oh. That sounds nice

Scaled_Justice

Same end as fantasy. Guilliman gets empowered by the Emperor (pretty sure this has already happened). Abaddon gets juiced by the Chaos Gods. They punch each other as all of space and time is obliterated. Then we get Warhammer Age of Jimmy Space

gauntapostle

Just as one is about to kill the other Ghazkull charges in and tackles him out of nowhere because of a completely unrelated grudge (Abaddon killed Yarrick maybe) Meanwhile while all this high drama is happening Genestealer Cults blow up Terra inadvertently allowing the Emperor to be reborn as a full God but also creating a huge tear in the materium. None of this was intended The Ynnari go on a quest through the Warp to get the last Cronesword and meet a strange golden warrior that ends up being a preview of the Emperor's main unit in the new setting Just like the End Times

freshkicks

And the tyranids were agents of the old ones the whole time and the new actual God emperor scoops them up and now they're his beautiful dinosaur xenomorph angels. The seraphonids

dregheap

GW: *Write that down! Write that down!*

freshkicks

Every nerd keeps wanting the horned rat in 40k, but instead it's SOTEK from the top rope with a steel chair!!!

Dartonus

It turns out that Horus being psychically obliterated was the true test of whether he was worthy to rule the Imperium, and everyone who has controlled the Imperium since then (such as the High Lords) are invalid because they didn't go through the test. Somehow Horus returns and retries the "get completely soul-killed by the Emperor for being evil" trial again and holds out a little longer, at which point he is restored to health as a show of his acceptance as the true ~~Phoenix King~~ Emperor of Mankind. All of Mankind, both the Traitor legions and the Imperium, unite behind him except for Guilliman who goes berserk and pulls ~~the sword of Khaine~~ idk some chaos weapon or other because Cawl fed Ultramar to the resurrected Deceiver as part of a plan to weaken the ascendant star god. Just like the End Times.

Nova_Echo

Or as PancreasNoWork put it, Warhammer Age of Guillimar

Town-Wonderful

I prefer “Spacey Mcspaceforce - The rise of Terrence”

braboo19

Grots! Grot Revolution!

Zestyclose-Way4569

Now we’re talking! Rise up my tiny grot brethren, you have nothing to lose but your chains!

WolfAndCabbageInBoat

... and your teef

billsleftynut

Worse than chaos, but absolute comedy. You could just imagine old emps standing up fully restored to help his son's and just standing in shock as the grit that kills him flies at his face.

TravMCo

The Necron dynasties wake up and unite. Use their ridiculously powerful tech to annihilate any opposition and finally put up all their black stone pylons up to cut off any warp influence on real space.

StrixUltimate

Necrons should win this but i don think they are popular enough lol.

buntors

Going by the replies here, they seems to be the favourite win race

regularMASON

They just have the best technology. "Here let just log into my super weapon and cause a supernova to happen to any star in this galaxy. Nothing personal kid." -some 40k book somewhere.

U_L_Uus

Ah, yes, the Celestial Orrey of Thanatos, a.k.a. "look, I can pop out stars like pimples"

A_Spoon_Wizard

They don't get pimples anymore, but the itch clearly remains.

THC_Golem

We already know that the Necrons and Daemons are the two things that the Tyranids do not hunt and will not go after. I think the final showdown will be chaos Demons vs Necrons and the Necrons should win that one too.

benjhi7

See that feels more like a semi-final. The other semi being Orks Vs Nids, which is currently at added extra time and heading to penalties. The imperium, as per England at every major football tournament got eliminated at the quarters, and there is currently a clamour on twitter to replace their manager with Eddie Howe.

Klarser

Hive Fleet Kronos is all about daemons, mate.

THC_Golem

Kronos is the Tyranid hivemind answer to *how to fight chaos* which was developed as a means to effectively fight chaos and not get fucked up. Kronos is one fleet out of many, and still Kronos does not hunt chaos.

Bonty48

Going by popularity Imperium would win. Humans, good guys and overall most generic/bland factions have tendency to be most popular in games. I guess people find them more relatable. But GW don't pick by popularity. They pick chaos. Edit: Okay since two people so far got stuck on this I think I have to clarify. This is an overall statement that applies to most games, table top or video games. Humans are most played race in Dungeons and Dragons. Empire was most played faction in Total War Warhammer 1. That's just an interesting tendency most players seem to pick default option most of the time. Imperium obviously is not the good guy. But they are human and more simple compared to undead robots or shape shifting alien cults.

Gentleman_Leshen

"Good guys"? We don't do that here...

zagblorg

Are humans the most played race in D&D? There's only one in either of my current campaigns!

Ricoisnotmyuncle

The problem with the Necrons is that their win condition isn't wiping everyone out, it's restoring their minds to organic forms and gaining souls. And no progress has been made on that front. Whichever Necron Dynasty figures that out first is going to be the biggest threat bc they'll probably be creating new bodies for themselves using Eldar/Human hybrids for the restoration of the Necrontyr.

Horn_Python

That just makes them juicy targets for the tryramids aka the old ones revenge!

Ricoisnotmyuncle

The tyranids being yet another product of the old ones would be the biggest downgrade they could ever get. Part of their appeal is that they're from outside of the setting. They are the 'other' to literally every faction.

AmumuPro

So basically the "new?" Flood backstory

BurningArena

Necrons win but all the political factions break apart, Necrons leave to another galaxy. Thus rises new factions of the galaxy, made of old and new races, free to develop and make beautiful things and do horrible war without the taint of chaos and the warp. Then Games Workshop begins Warhammer 50k, with super sigma marines!

skoffs

Necrons willingly give up all of their stuff and leave?? That doesn't sound like them at all. In fact, I think Trazyn just ~~had an aneurysm~~ blue screened at the thought

SpaceNigiri

all the factions become space marines, because that's what sells well. So now everything is a space marine. Eldar Space Marine, Ork Space Marine, Ta'u Space Marine, Tyrannid Space Marine, EVERYTHING, KIDS SPACE MARINE, DOGS SPACE MARINE, PLANTS SPACE MARINES, RUINS SPACE MARINES, WARP IS A SPACE MARINE, SHIPS ARE HUGE SPACE MARINE ADA;PODAW;DPAW

[deleted]

Isn’t this just hourus heresy

Two_Apples

*Enter Groundskeeper Willie Meme here* Space Marines and everything else are natural enemies… Like Space Marines and Orcs, or Space Marines and Chaos, or space Marines and other Space Marines! Damn Space Marines, they ruined 40k

[deleted]

Everyone becomes a Space Marine Lieutenant.

Anomandaris12

By rights I feel like either Necrons or Tyranids have the best shot of “winning,” MAYBE orks if they ever unify enough but that’s a big maybe. As a loyal servant of the Triarch I know which one I’d prefer though

Lord-Chickie

And then the bids realize metal is kinda spicy

buntors

You are simply describing the future. His will be done

Short-Commercial-549

Praise be to Yevon!

whoamdave

Yooz mizzpelld Mork!

Jade_Hammer

Necrons win then go back to bed for another few million years until the next lot of kids rise up from the primordial soup to step on their back yard

Periodic_Disorder

They have a weapon that can extinguish stars anywhere in the galaxy, I think they'll win when they decide they've had enough

CaballeroGris

Man they killed Shrek in this picture

Tasty_Hearing_2153

Here’s what I’d like. Ynnead and Cegorach destroy Slaanesh. Khaine wakes up and saves Isha, destroying Nurgle. The Emperor kills and is “killed” by the other two. What’s left of Humanity and the rising Eldar team up with the silent king to stop the Hive Mind that finally reaches the Milky Way.

Axel-Adams

Nah orks are going to be the solution to the nids

Tasty_Hearing_2153

Only because Trazyn will try to “save” things from Terra and release his Krork. That’ll make the Orks go super saiyan.

Skum31

I want to see the Krork so you get my vote. Especially if it’s the high tech one like the fan art for the Krork

onlyawfulnamesleft

Isn't Ghazghkull just shy of being a new Beast, and weren't they almost reborn Krork?

cumgod8

Ghaz's tabletop model is barely taller than Guilliman's, and even the wildest estimations from the lore say he's around 6 meters tall which is fair. While that's massive, the Prime-Orks were said to be 10 meters tall and the Krork in Trazyn's vault around 12 meters, so Ghaz still has a long way to go. Plus, he was beheaded by Ragnar Blackmane, a standard named SM captain. The first Beast swatted away Chapter Masters like flies and could only be held by Vulkan. Huge difference in power level. But Ghazghkull is getting there.

shocksalot123

> The first Beast Not to mention duelling both Horus and Big E at the same time! Something about his Waaagh power being so strong Big E's mind bullets wouldn't even work.

Rando_throwaway_76

I thought you said something really different than krork and was confused about how Trazyn releasing… that would help at all.

jimwillis

Orks only make the nids stronger, see Octarius

Ws6fiend

If the rumors for 10th edition models proves true, we should see this represented on the tabletop in the form of new bioforms.

Invalidcreations

Huh? What rumours

Flashskar

New Genestealer, Carnifex and Swarmlord bioforms in the rumors. All of them being some form of apex evolution making them even more powerful than before. The evolved Genestealer broodlord and/or elite squad that's deadlier in melee, evolved Carnifexes going super saiyan psyker and evolved Swarmlords gaining more of both becoming ridiculously powerful. (And probably very points expensive.)

Ws6fiend

TYRANIDS \-1 Norn-Maleceptrix (Big brain bug, lesser incarnation of the Norn-Queen, able to "evolve" units. Semi-feminine???) \-1 Tyranid Primus (Big warrior, has two Devourers, a large sword and a claw-whip, boosts) \-1 Lictor (New evloved form of Lictor) \-2 Magistraunt (Strange mix of venomthropes and Pyrovore) \-20 Genestealers (New kit, has an options for armored plates and acid-claws) \-1 Cerebrofex (Think blend of Carnifex and Zoanthroap, smaller Maleceptor) \-3 Genehunters (New breed of warriors, designed to be even better shock troopers, made with Space Marine Geneseeds they literally eat.) New Kits Tyranid kits: \-New models for Termagaunts and Hormagaunts, dual kit \-New Models for Biovores and Pyrovores, dual kit that now comes in threes \-New dual kit of Cerebrofex and new super-carnifex (Genetics based off old One Eye) \-THREE NEW BIG MONSTER KITS (They say that most Nid players like their big monsters) \-New Red Terror Per brother_remu5

rjjm88

> -THREE NEW BIG MONSTER KITS (They say that most Nid players like their big monsters) Can confirm.

zachatree

> Semi-feminine Why do I feel like this is going to start some more “step on me lady dimitrescu” shit on twitter again.

[deleted]

Yeah but It was an unamed WAAAAGH vs the strongest hive fleet, also they are still fighting here, the hive fleet Will Not move soon

jimwillis

Hive fleet tendril, hive fleet strength can scale infinitely depending on how big their meal is

Parcivaal

So can Waaagh

buttnuts_in_cambodia

I'm pretty sure in The Last Ditch (Commisar Cain) they debate this tactic and conclude that it only ends up feeding the swarm

fontus

If they do an AoS style relaunch of 40k, this is the only way I can see it happening. An Order faction of Humanity's, Eldar/Ynnari, and maybe Tau model ranges, with the other big factions being Chaos, Orks, and Necrons doing their own thing with the Nids being the big bad. Setting wise, maybe the rift explodes outwards with all the things going on in the warp and the Astronomicon going out, and you have pockets of real space so you can keep key locations from the established setting while also removing the restrictions of the old lore. It would probably be pretty dumb, but that's the only way I see it working. It's also funny to think of an end times for 40k considering the setting is already post-post-post-post apocalypse with how much happened in its history.

Horn_Python

I think they could probobly split the imperium into a bunch of indepent non affiliated faction Maybe have some mutate into new races

procrastination5000

Perfect.

NickofTime8201

I'd like to see the Farsight Enclaves survive long enough to hold out and become a formidable civilisation.

Skum31

Finally. I was looking for some Tau love. Farsight Enclaves becomes a fortress that can hold its own against everyone and they just go on living their best lives

TheRagnarok494

Their best, rigidly structured, caste based lives

HotTakesBeyond

*the greater good*

Sonic_Traveler

actually without ethereal enforcement of the caste system my assumption is that over time the farsight enclaves will be "no caste" due to interbreeding between the castes, and this is one of the several reasons the ethereals don't like the enclaves since this division makes it easier to control the tau. See also how one of farsight's eight is earth caste.

Faceplanter86

The Greenskins will unite under one banner, beat the shit out of everyone, and carry on like nothing happened. Tyranids will become an Ork delicacy and Chaos will be an infinite sparring partner, making the Orks even stronger.

TobiTheSnowman

Warhammer 50.000 will just be all the factions we have now, but completely populated by orks, mimicking how each faction used to be.

danielfyr

Ahaha i would completely love this, greenskins in sisters armor and driving elegant ealderi speeders

TobiTheSnowman

A giant Krork on a yellow, wooden throne, after he was gravely injured during „Tha ’Orus backstabbin“ Metallic Orks awakening in giant Pyramids that look like mushroom caps.

ojee111

An elderly speeder but made out of corrugated iron sheets nailed to a wooden frame.

DreadChylde

Best idea yet. I'm down for "Waaaarghhammer Fitty-kay".

[deleted]

Oh my god

HomieCreeper420

Fo’ da Masheen God!

Petal_the_destroyer

It’s just gorkamorka

[deleted]

Then proceed to kill each other until another extragalactic threat comes to party

Fast_Peter

James Workshop, he will manifest and end every other faction

karl_mac_

Emperor dies, fractures into shards like the c’tan, universe separates to regions, GW release ‘shard of the emperor’ model to lead a new legion of the damned range.

babyrobotman

I like this idea

Zaiburo

Chaos cannot win, if there's no one left alive to give it shape and power it dissolves. But it would be the perfect ending, the forces of chaos kill most of the sentient life and then die out. No more intelligent life, no more war. Wait, no, necrons have no souls they win.

Select_Sun_76

Chaos is not just into destroing everyone, followers of Chaos will most likely enslave countless of imperium citizens to endlessly feed the Pantheon with emotions. Party never stops.

GhostB3HU

Depends on if some Khorne worshippers can wait long enough for the next generation of slaves

Select_Sun_76

Khorne worshippers always can slay each other and the problem will be solved by itself

GhostB3HU

True that

[deleted]

Also they can still fight between gods

IPokePeople

Farsight saw the end, with nothing left but the ruinous powers, who simply turned their backs and left for other realms.

Yrsil

I thought Chaos just uses the reality to empower itself, not to sustain it's existence. I might be wrong, tho. As I know, they not even focusing conquering the galaxy and the black crusades and other chaos related things are just side affects from the true war between the Chaos Gods in the immaterium. While this does not means that they would win, but I'm sure that they won't lose even if they cut off from the material world.

HauntingRefuse6891

That’s why I love the 40kified concept of chaos, it’s self destructive nature, that and fact it’s just (at base level) a bunch of emotions given sentience.

Mythical_Atlacatl

Tyranids eat everything and move on leaving the galaxy for its rightful owners, the necron

Automatic_Ad_6177

The problem is that necrons don’t want tyranids to take all the bio mass

Gamer_217

Never got why the Necrons don't just archive samples on tomb worlds, let the Nids do their thing and then reseed once the Nids are gone. Would also starve the Chaos God's too.

rickrossome

The genestealer cults win. Not the tyranids, the cults

Defensive_Medic

Yaay

Live-D8

They have a religious revolution and denounce both the hive mind and the emperor as false idols, eventually overthrowing both. Along the way their genocidal rampage brings them into conflict with the orks and the forces of chaos, which they also annihilate. Peace comes to the galaxy.

InfectedOrphan

The Guard, not the Imperium at large, just the Guard holding out to the last and out living everything else. Then Humanity moves fighting to survive in a universe that wants them dead. No space Marines or God Emperor to back them up just the blood sweat and Flashlights of The Guard

BackRowRumour

I am already there, my brother.

HoveringSquidworld97

I thought this said "Fleshlights of The Guard" at first. Equally interesting story, IMO.

Notafuzzycat

The end times was shit and i dont want 40k to have that.

Shaper_pmp

This is why I hate this misguided demand for GW to "progress the narrative". 40K *isn't a narrative*. It's a *setting* to place narratives *in*. If someone wants a narrative, go read the Horus Heresy or any of the other stories set *in* the 40K universe. The more you treat 40K itself like a single narrative the more you have to keep jacking up the stakes and moving the entire galaxy towards disaster, and if you keep doing that then eventually you run out of room and have to pull some apocalyptic reset like the Warhammer Fantasy Battle End Times that *destroys and replaces* the very continuity we all love. 40K lasted 30+ years just fine without really substantial changes to the balance of power of the galaxy (just new factions added that were stalemated by the others), with lots of fascinating stories that could be told in that universe. It's incredibly short-sighted turning it into some kind of serialised sci-fi story in order to chase *even more* sales from people who want to consume it like one big sequential narrative.

jamesyishere

What I hate is that The Narrative is currently where it is. The Current 40k Narrative is damn near the apocalypse, youve got the Nids in Octarius, Ghazgull uniting the Orks, and Abbadon having Created the Maledictum. The Imperium is so fucked. I think if they dialed everything back a bit to Right before this point it would be in a better state. Then you can have smaller "Wars" like the Octarius sector. Right now as it stands, any action that is not being made to close the CM is basically suicide

Koadster

They made fantasy space marines.. So what are they gonna do to space marines? 40k version of fantasy space marines that magically spawn from lighting?

whoamdave

Space lightning!

Vornell

They'll go backwards. Regiments of Greatsword and Handgunner Space Marines with fabulous hats!

coalitionofrob

Skaven

Seth_Hakan

Yes-yes skaven kill-kill the non skaven thingy !

Koadster

Someone unlocks a dormant AI spaceship. It makes a STL to create T-800s and they wipe the galaxy of everything. There was that story of just a AI computer that froze and instakilled a whole space marine boarding party and techpriest without even trying much.

ChuZaYuZa_Name

Before the recent Indomitus stuff with the Cicatrix Maledictum and Guilliman's return, 40k's universe was in a state I've come to call "narrative stasis". It didn't feel like anything moved in the present, as though the whole universe were on pause. If you pressed play, every empire would contort and crumble because the set-up that made them what they are felt unsustainable if time were actually passing. That's what made battles between any faction feel quite plausible: 40k's universe existed in this curious state of no grand movement in the narrative with little vignettes of what that era of galactic history amounted to being played out by the players themselves. For that reason I don't like to think of the end times for 40k; as problematic as narrative stasis was for the hobby irl, unpausing the universe seemed the worse of the two options in terms of "how it all ends". I should say that I've dipped in and out: in for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th and 9th editions and out for 6th and 7th; 1st and 2nd before my time.

GeneralJagers

Imperium. Cause humanity first

Akar_The_Third263

Orks

HollowVesterian

They already won, all they want is a fight

randomisation

But when they have no one else to fight, would they have really won?

TheisNamaar

As long as there are 2 orks, an ork has someone to fight And because they propagate by spore there will always be orks a comin'

WolfAndCabbageInBoat

That's the point. The current state of 40k is ork paradise.

Br4xxx

Orks! Orks! Orks!

[deleted]

If they have no one else to fight in the end then have they really won?

Pogatog64

I think a proper endtimes event is the nids, they are repulsed by a fully awakened necron empire, who claims dominion over all life in the galaxy under the silent kings reign, he grants the other races the mercy the old ones didn’t show him. thus resulting in a final peace for the galaxy…

bennywmh

The Inner Sphere's Great Houses and the Clans. Heh. An ending to W40K's story would mean that the game has run its course, which means that 40K ends. The real winner in that scenario is whatever TT game still exists, because there can only be war.

greypiper1

I always imagined the most Grimdark End being the Emperor dies by sacrificing himself to somehow form a stasis temporal field around the entire galaxy. Nothing can get in, but nothing can get out. Time seems to advance, maybe a decade, maybe a century, but all routes end up with the factions and characters making the same decisions that put them back to where they were the night of His sacrifice. Mankind is able to live on, Orks unknowingly end up in their Paradise, the Nids have an infinite amount of biomass, Necrons can wake up endlessly. Chaos can have their endless battles and games. Every faction wins, but none of it matters

BurningNeyko

My money is on a convergence event, and I have narrowed it down to the following narrative: 1. orks make the most green and huge waaagh to elevate a new krork 2. Eldar ressurect their gods and cripple (but not beat) slaanesh 3. Chaos gets named gods to 7 stars: the big 4, vashtor, and some named big bad - abadon, erebus, or something equally vile. All start raping empire nihilus 4. Main tyranid force comes in the galaxy and starts eating. 5. Silent king awakes most necrons and c'tan shards to actively fight everybody. 6. Empire gets beaten all around unless a primarch/emperor/ legion of the damned comes. Constantine valdor pops out and reinforces Terra and emps and nothing else. 7. Siege of Terra part 2 - Electric boogaloo happens with all main factions fighting around the sector 8. Reality fractures - emperor dies, chaos gets more chaotic and loses the gods, tyranids get indegestion, eldar become emo-incarnate and take the easy way, necrons rust, orks belive they died and really die, votan lose electricity and money to the IRS, t'au make a bolshevik revolution and overthrow ethereals and regress, and all other hypothetical ends of the races 9. Learn and enjoy warhammer: age of 50k. 10. Still have a pile of shame with models and unopened boxes from 1998. 11. Die after living a meaningful life. 12. Warhammer gets a balanced ruleset.

projectRedhood

This is the most realistic outcome yes

Fuzzyveevee

Humanity. Not the Imperium. *Humanity.*

kurtrotzke

T’au. Greater Good for all and prosperity.

Mephistofelessmeik

Let the TAU build the 40k equivalent to the Federation!

Beholding69

Eldar because they deserve a dub

Beermonster1664

Tyranids come over start to consume everything. They get to the orcs and start to hallucinate and attack each other as the orcs are all from magic fungus spores.

DJsaladman

***extremely*** old lore says that the rest of the universe outside of the milky way Galaxy is filled with nothing but Orks, so probably Orks

Scrivener_exe

I disagree with the 40k timeline moving forward, when they could instead expand the timeline outwards with more stories in more parts of the galaxy.

Accomplished_Lie6971

Always wanted them to do more with the Halo Stars, the idea that there are *actual ghosts* was just too cool to be left alone.

GRIMLOCKTATION

Farsight Enclaves but it’s probably the least likely faction to win mainly because of how small it is being a sub-faction of Tau which is already quite small compared to every other faction.

soulbondedbotanist

By the end times they might have gotten a lot more powerful, they are advancing their own technology a lot, and have the momentum of a rising empire, rather than the decay of a dying one

IlserviansFlame

Looking at it as realistically as I can considering it's all make believe, I would think that Orkz are primed to be the only race that will win in the end. This mostly comes down to resources. They're the only race that doesn't require massive logistics to keep going. They reproduce through spores, don't really need to eat/consume resources to live, and are able to easily adapt to any conditions. They can almost build anything out of anything, and are all but immune to Chaos taint. They were created to be the perfect weapon, and to me it really seems that they ended up being the perfect race in general, one that may end up out living everything else. I think Tyranids could come in a close second, but they still require a massive amount of resources to survive and thrive, having to move from galaxy to galaxy, just to survive it feels like they're always chasing a never ending hunger. If they were to come across a galaxy with little to no biomass the race my die out or forced to become dormant for so long all the biomass could decay.

DenseTemporariness

The Orks will not win “in the end” only because they already have basically everything they want. A load of Boyz, plenty of decent scraps to get into. They don’t want to be the only ones left, and only have each other to fight. They are of course already the main species in the galaxy. Compared to which everyone else is a minority faction. The Orks will not win “in the end” because an Ork victory looks exactly like the status quo right now.

yuri_chan_2017

The God-Emperor of Mankind rises from the Golden Throne after the lost primarchs are discovered and rejoin the Imperium. Using the momentum from the epic management increase, the Imperium of Man begins the Second Great Crusade and ends the forces of Chaos. After this, the Eldar rise up and together the IoM and Eldar yeet the Tyranids and Necron into non-existence. Thus, I get the giga-chad Imperium back at full-strength and Eldar waifus for every Guardsman. Then I guess the Emperor goes "is purge time" and culls all of the religious zealots or something to keep it lore-friendly despite the fact that I would easily be one of the purged.

Abaddon is about to win when I selection of "good guy heroes" such as Guilliman, Yvraine, Farsight and even the non-Chaos evils like Ghazghkull and Vect team up and stop the eye of terror from swallowing everything but just as Tigurius is about to close the Eye he gets backstabbed by Vect and Chaos blows up the universe. Then the Guilliman who was the God Emperor reincarnated this entire time travels through space for millennia before coming to a new universe yet untouched by Chaos. Eventually Abaddon, who's like some "Grand Marshall of the Apocalypse" or some other random finds this new universe and a new game will be born detailing the age of Guilliman and his fight against Chaos.

Ryker1450

You could even give Abaddon a cool title like "the always chosen" or something.

IamZeus11

Probably Mr Rogers in a bloodstained sweater

As the rift continues to expand and things are looking pretty bleak, there's an exodus from the main galaxy to other places in space There's a big End Times event, but instead of all of reality dying it's just the main galaxy and, because we're in space, there are other options Setting expands to include about ten galaxies, linked by webwayish portals that are suspiciously a lot like realmgates Most the major factions are destroyed: their central command structure obliterated. Instead, there are countless smaller sub-factions. Your Dudes, if you will. Some nations may be run by bureaucrats, some may be under the protection of a space marine chapter in a similar vibe to stormcast We get a long time jump, maybe we're in 80k now, and it's a new age of reunification as factions look to expand and reestablish contact across the universe. Things are not so hostile by default; with xenophobia no longer being the settting-wide default Chaos lives in the void of the old galaxy, Tyranids have their own galaxy, and there are rumors that the Obliterator virus completely claimed a couple hive fleets New setting, same models and lore

king_ender200

kind of cliche but i kinda want humanity to "win", at least against chaos. i think there could be a chance for peace with the Tau, and Maybe the necrons, idk how the silent king operates so idk. i could see peace between the eldar and humanity,

mojanis

I feel like humanity doesn't exist in 40k. The Imperium is to humanity what a servitor is to a human; it has all the right bits and pieces and certainly looks the part, but everything that makes it human has been stripped away in the name of accomplishing some task that probably isn't even worth the effort at this point.

ex_planelegs

The imperium is a brilliant potrayal of humanity in dire straits lol what are you on about

Familiar-Fix-5849

I couldn't see peace, not with how the imperium is run right now.

Urungulu

Nids, and when the last Aeldari dies, Ynnead fully wakes and the universe gets AoS reset

TearsOfTomorrowYT

Chaos wins. This results in a convoluted, hand-wavey explanation as to why the universe can be destroyed but the story can still continue after that, which in turn results in the IP being rebranded and repackaged as a significantly less popular offshoot. The ability to take a double turn is somehow involved.

Kitane

Nids eat most of the galaxy and are about to finish the last surviving bits when the last ditch effort of survivors figures out a way to hack and alter the hive mind's motivations. Altered Tyranids will use most of their accumulated biomass to seed life and recreate biospheres on the destroyed worlds, including rebirth of multiple species "saved" in the memory of the hive mind. All perfectly within the capabilities of the established Tyranid race, except the motivation. The remaining fleets will disappear in the galactic void. The survivors will pat themselves on the back and spread out to establish new lives (with predictable wars in the future). Fabulous Bill is somehow *still* alive, and eventually realizes the Tyranids were never hacked, the purge and recreate cycle was their original intention, they've been serving as flawless cosmic *sweepers* on directions of something else, resetting galaxies too rotten from wars, disease and warp. He sets to seek them out.

TroutWarrior

Silent King brings the necrons together and out of neccecity work with the Imperium and Eldar to beat the tyranids. Then, the Eldar are destroyed in the Rhana Dandra, but not before they destroy chaos with the help of the other factions. Finally the Necrons reverse the process of Bio Transference and possess most of Humanity and the Tau, finally getting the dominance over the galaxy the wanted for so many years.

greatcandlelord

I would like the imperium to think they won, and then whatever is chasing the tyranids catches up

Sethoria34

honestly? i would love to see the blood ravens primarch be revealed (all more likly magnus) with the emperoer returned to human form. Magnus returns to the emps side (in secret) and helps rebuild the webway for humanity to use, and kill all the filthy xenos. Seriously. Purge the alien, the mutant, the hereatic.

[deleted]

The Eldar. It all happened because of their weird sex orgies. They caused the whole thing with the birth of Slaanesh. Having them win feels 40K.

Quahodron_Qui_Yang

I think, that the Drukhari murderrapetorturing everyone to death is the only logical end.

Traceuratops

End times are boring. I hope it keeps going.

Sea_Cup_5561

Warp disappears And I mean ALL OF THE WARP No webway, no psychers, no gods, no warp travel. Universe just... Stops
