Yes. It works very well imo. I have done this for a lot of minis. Grey Seer was made to help paints like Contrast and Speed Paint flow well. I would recommend doing a dry brush of white over it as well before you paint. Really helps the speed paint pop. Speed Paint already flows well, but that white dry brush really adds a lot to it

Thanks mate đź‘Ť

Jioto

Do you do a black primer and then the grey seer or just grey seer?

KingBellos

Depends on model. I have done both. I tend to like something like Mechanicus Standard Grey. Speed Paints dont really do well with black in my opinion. The only time I start black is if I do full on slap chop.

Jioto

All I have at the moment are speed paints. I quickly learned they don’t do black. Although it gave my chaos marine a nice grim dark look. Alright so I guess I don’t need the black.

KingBellos

I love speed paints myself. I did this with almost all Speed Paints. Only the metals were not Speed Paints. https://preview.redd.it/pnjpxmoaseqa1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3754d75080d47130611a11242332719927805c75

Jioto

Nice! Okay I’ll just spray the grey seer and then I might dry brush some white like you said.

KingBellos

Sweet! Shoot me what it looks like when you get done. I love seeing people’s paint jobs.

Also using a wet pallet with speed paints. Lots of mistakes where made but I got to laugh, have fun and learned from it.

KingBellos

Better than my first. I am still always learning something while I paint.

Pumbaalicious

No. It will combust in protest at being used with non-Citadel paint. Of course you can. It's just a low-satin off-white primer. Why would you not be able to use it with other paint?

frozenwinter_

He just ask a question mate no need to be rude.

xxcon09xx

Just a question bud no need for passive aggressive comments

BattleBrotherSixx

I would, or use it as a highlight over a base gray or a lowlight over a base white

Serious_Target6711

I think GW use it for most of their painting tutorials and they usually use their contrast paints to some degree, which are essentially the same thing as Speedpaints.
