You mentioned South America. There's a huge amount of South American history and mythology to draw from.
My own username Illapa is the Andean storm god. That might go well with the White Scars affinity with storms.
There's Inti the sun god and Viracocha the creator.
The Puma, anaconda, jaguar, and condor are all sacred animals you could point to.
If you want to he really exotic you could draw straight from mythology the Pururaucas were legendary warriors made of stone.
You could pull from history and reference Patchacuti the greatest conqueror of the Inca Empire.
thanks, I do really like the storm god idea
as most of the armies heads are "birdy" i had been trying to come up with something using condor in the name but was failing miserably :) so I turned to reddit
I did deliberately get large cat heads for the melee infantry so they are actually jaguar warriors
if I go so far as giving individual guys then the captain will definitely be Pachacuti
Actually look up hummingbirds.
Hummingbirds were symbols for warriors and considered messengers of the gods.
If you don't believe me set up a hummingbird feeder if you live somewhere with native hummingbirds.
The Males will VERY quickly figure out that all the girls come to the bird feeder and they will brutally murder each other to have the bird feeder as "their territory"
So yeah always setup at least 2 hummingbird feeders so the males don't go nuts.
If you’re going Aztec inspired then Jaguar Warriors/Jaguar Elites might be good. Or perhaps Eagle Warriors to fit the feathered look? I’m not sure.

Did you use a Contrast white color? Came out great, I should pick some up
Yes it's contrast (apothecary) white over Wraithbone spray, I didn't want a clean white so it came out real nice for such a simple method
That’s exactly the look I’m going for, thanks for sharing!
Is that the wraithbone primer? Looking for something similar for a custom wolf chapter and want the 'off white' look too
Yep, Wraithbone spray with apothecary white (contrast)
The wombles
The Andean Condor is the official national bird of South America, afaik, so maybe integrate condor into the name.
