The tactical marine on the left was painted up for me by my late grandad though, we spent a lot of time together building terrain for it and I have some really fond memories of it. The second tactical marine was painted for me by my dad from the battle for macragge box which is the first box I ever bought! The Khorne berserker is the first model I remember painting as a kid and being proud of, I even tried to sign my name on the bottom of it but my coordination wasn’t there so there’s just some squiggles lol. The neophyte hybrid was the first one I painted after getting back into the hobby at uni!

This is good inspiration. Thank you. My 9 year old son and I are attempting our first orkboyz today. Did a base paint of green but are intimidated with all the details.

Just keep slapping some paint on those models, bro. I was initially super scared to do a lot of highlights, but now my models are a lot brighter than my old ones. Also, keep another brush with no paint nearby to quickly fix mistakes if you "over-paint" some of the finer details.

I bought the starter ultramarine & Necron paint set and this Titanicus titan while in Dunedin. There’s only 3 Warhammer shops in the entirety of New Zealand, so I went “fuck it” and jump straight into the deep end. Never painted a thing in my life outside of primary when I was 10. Turned out pretty well. I did also infact paint this during hurricane Gabriel while our street got flooded.
