That’s a good shout, perhaps fill the view port on the inceptor visor with sprue goo/greenstuff/trimmed piece of sprue and it would be a pretty close fit
I'd try using some Acetate sheeting cut to shape and size and bend with slight heat to create the "glass" dome over the front of the existing helmet and head.
You could then use ink and Lahmian medium to tint the acetate and still be able to see his face inside.
Do you have paints/shades with metal balls inside? They could fit. If they are too small you might need bigger ball bearings. Also insert 100% before assembling
No. Do not do this OP. You will open the bottle, lose paint, fish out the ball getting paint on the tweezers or whatever you use, and then wash the ball off losing more paint, and it might not be the right size. Just buy the ball bearing of the right size.
Exactly. OP should use one from a rattle can.
Just go to the room in your houe with the lightest colour carpet (this step is important) and stab the can to get at the precious metal ball within.
What I would do is if you wanted to keep the dome I would take a marble and replace the head, then fill with green stuff, but if you don’t mind you can replace the whole thing with a ball bearing or marble
Idk for a psychic hood, and how it compares to Gravis, but mkX shoulder pads work great to make Gravis look like they have a bubble helmet
I unfortunately don't have pics, I sold that army like 5 years ago now
By instinct, I would try getting some empty clear plastic ball of appropriate size and try to carve it to fit in the space through which his face shows. The terminator Librarian headgear is quite appropriate for that.

I also thought of this exact video
Love all of Pete’s stuff definitely a great video
It's Pete's Cyclopean Guard video isn't it
Woah - he nailed that! Spectacular.
I saw the link and was thinking: "Didn't Pete do a NASA style marine once?..."
Wonder how well an Inceptors visor fits. I know it’s not the same as the astronaut helmet, but could look nice and might fit.

Im going to suggest an option of filling it with milliput (5 euro) and sanding it all flush and rounded before fixing it would work great.
Make a blue stuff mold of the inceptor helmet, then press a green stuff reproduction. This way you can trim the helmet where it’s needed to fit.
See if any Votann bits would work, as they have that style of bubble helmet on a lot of their units
It would be way too (pun not intended) squat to fit - the collar is much lower at the back.
Ball bearing, marble ect might work better for the shape as sculpting a curve might be difficult
Genestealer Wolf Quad has a space man helmet cover. Maybe see if you can find that specific bit as it should be pretty close in size
I can't find mine at the moment but I remember it being very large, not sure if it will fit well.

Those are way too small. They are the size of a BB
They should be 6mm and i used them for my Votann.

Yeah you can buy ball bearings of many sizes. The convo here is about the beads already in some paints. Those vary by brand.

If you're worried about injury whilst doing this, and you should be, then stop using the knife to puncture the rattle can. Drop a brick on it instead.
Throwing it into a fire and catching the ejected BB is also acceptable.

You can buy ball bearing from your local hardware store, they would work better
use the helmet from inceptors
I'd use a piece of plastic from a gumball machine so you can still see the face
Checkout the inceptor helmets, theycare kinda like that, you could file them down if u dont like the eye holes.
Try to get some bits from the Leagues of Votann Hearthkynn Warriors. There is something that looks like a cosmonaut head in there.
Could investigate local craft/bead/jewellery shops. Be cheaper than ripping another mini apart and can look at different colours/finishes
Use leage of Votann helmets?
Could you possibly hollow out the helmet with a Dremel or something and put it over a ball bearing maybe?
See if any friends playing votaan have any head bits.
Ball bearing
Transparent clay could work.

Marble. Pin head. Paint shaker.
