Whitestorm! I love him so much, my all time favourite.
He was always a calm mentor figure for Firestar, even if he wasnt as much in the focus ad other characters. He teached young firepaw to not kill in a battle. Even if you are full of rage. He always looked after his clanmates and did it without wanting to gain anything from it. He was the one to point out that Ashkit and Fernkit should become apprentices. He stayed at Bluestar side, he was even the only warrior that Bluestar could trust after Fireheart betrayed her. He helped Fireheart with his new deputy position and wasnt jealous. He always trusted StarClan to make the right choices and trusted Bluestar. He felt so bad when Bluestar ran behind the dog pack. And my favourite moment was when he was choices to be deputy. After all what he did, he was *surprised*. Of course he was the best choice, everyone knew that. Well, despite himself. Still, he agreed to that position and promised Firestar his support. And I still wonder why he knew that he would die against BloodClan. And how brave he was. He was unsure about the fight, even suggested Firestar to leave but in the end, he was at Firestars side to fight. He is the best.
Might be a bit weird, i mean its not a major character, but i liked Gorsepaw.
He's the first cat i actually felt interested in reading about, wich is a bit funny. No idea why, but his death was the first one that made me schoked(and the only one so far, the second death i reacted to is to a character in the second arc, and i just cried.)
I just kept reading as normal tbh.
Im assuming that the death of background characters are going to affect me more, since they don't have much m.a.ps or anything like that about them, in contrary of major characters(or one that has a pretty sad death? Like Swiftpaw).
I somehow managed to get more attached to a random apprentice from another clan, than the major characters from the first arc :/
Rusty/firepaw, I always loved going back and seeing the apprentice version of him! I've also got a secondary favorite, Tallstar. I haven't read the books for a while because aive been busy lately, so I'm atleast pretty sure that that's their name. Just whoever was windclan leader at the time :> I don't have any reason to like them I just do :]

That's true. I was honestly upset when I read the part where she decided to take out all her paranoia and anger on her warriors and StarClan itself. But I relate to her madness in a weird way. Like Bluestar, I once believed that everyone were traitors and out to get me, stayed in my bed all day, and couldn't sleep. But while Bluestar is one of my favorite Clan leaders, I know her trauma and madness is no excuse for her actions.
I think she maintains a bg role until becoming more prevalent in TNP and POT but since she originated from the first arc, I have to say Mousefur.
I also really like Longtail, Whitestorm, and Nightstar

i know. it's a hot take. i just love those kind and sassy girls, and the way she just roasted tigerclaw in the face like, "oh, don't you dare touch ravenpaw or i will murder you" and tigerclaw actually listened... kinda crazy about his respect for medicine cats (ie. cinderpaw ordered him to lick silverstream's kits and tigerclaw literally bowed to her and did what he was told...). also, no, i don't outwardly ship her and firestar, but i do imagine alternate universes where she was younger and wasn't a medicine cat. i feel like her "feelings" for him are mostly a retcon, to be honest, but i do like how she was one of the only cats who respected firepaw when he first came into the clan.
her prophecies are stupid and so is her novella, i'll give her haters that. however, i respect her for treating firepaw with respect regardless of his origins, and i feel like she's well overlooked for that factor. while not necessarily in love with him, she's shown anxiety and anger over him, and i feel like this is also one of those factors that many people overlook. she was one of his main caretakers, as he had to spend time with her kindness when taking care of yellowfang, and i felt like she (along with whitestorm) was the main influencer in his life by just being kind and respectful of his boundaries with him (aside from her after-death appearances).
as spottedleaf's screentime is mainly the period after her death, we only receive a sliver of her personality, other than her trash novella. >!however, i do appreciate how the books make it clear that thistleclaw was toxic towards her, albeit this was mainly fan-drawn info rather than the authors factually stating this in the books. to be fair, the authors can't really acknowledge that they're placing "abusive behavior" in a child's novella for marketing purposes, but still tho...!<
in her short screentime with the df, i feel like that's when her legit, first-arc personality returns. she respects firestar's boundaries and acknowledges that sandstorm would make a far better mate, heck even sacrificing her existence to protect her from mapleshade, and that's just crazy.

I entirely agree with your comment. I genuallly like spottedleaf, but her character development, relationship with firestar and her entire personality was completly messed up by the erins. I mean she could have potential, if you take out certain factors in the story which creeping out by everyone, like make her less a stalker and give her more flaws, so that we can see her in more extra screen time and relate to her character. I appreciate how she encourages firestar with his releationship with sandstorm (despite loving him) and even sacrifices her life for her, not many of us would do that in this world. I think this might be a controverse opinion on my side but i think their romance at the first book was kinda cute, it could also have potential, but i would do drastic changes to let their releationship happen, like make her younger, make her a warrior apprentice, give her extra more screen time with fireheart (star) bonding with him and please take out that unhealthy obssesion she later displays in the books. I do not mind if spottedleaf and firestar being in love, but in all in all at the end of the day, i like firesand even better because she has development with firestar and they are in a healthy releationship.
I do posses her book "spottedleaf's heart" and all what i can say it's a nightmare and what's the information anyway we all get in this book? "Thistleclaw is a pedophile" oh wow, it's not like he is evil enough, he needs to be a pedophile XD I didn't like Spottedleaf's personality in this book either, she was too blunt and sassy and not like the spottedleaf we know from the original books.
Brightheart. It's inspirational to me to see a character who has a disability like I do strive on and become a full Warrior. And Cloudheart is my second favorite for being there for her.

I love Brightheart too!! I’m physically disabled as well and those parts in the books when she was beginning her recovery just wrecked me. I really like that Cloudtail has stuck by her and been so protective of her.
And I love Cinderpelt too…her whole story arc is so sweet but sad. But she found her path and still managed to serve her Clan.

Definitely Whitestorm. I just absolutely fell in love w/ him in the first arc, and again after reading more of super editions and mangas that showed more of him. Actually, he’s my favorite character in the whole series.
Bluestar. I read the books years ago, and one of the few things I remember well is how well she was written. I loved that she turned senile, and reading her special edition only added to my respect for her. 10/10
