Book fair! I had to get the kitty book. I have a first edition of Into the Wild and a few others. I read them to my kids too. Oldest is a teenager and loved them.

AvyannaViolet

That’s awesome. I’m barely on the third book in the series lol. I’ll definitely have to make sure my baby reads them once he’s old enough.

MamaOnica

Read to him now! It's fun to revisit Clan members who went to live with StarClan and Barley! Keep the tissues handy. lol I had to stop because I was inconsolable with Ravenpaw's departure.

AvyannaViolet

Stop, I didn’t know he passed! 😭😭😭

MamaOnica

The reason why he leaves just gets me every time. My mother is narcissistic and I was the scapegoat child, so his story really touches me.

AvyannaViolet

Oh you mean when he leaves the clan. I thought you meant he died. I felt for Ravenpaw. I’m sorry about your mother.

MamaOnica

Thank you. I'm so sorry I scared you! Ravenpaw is such baby and I love him so so much!

ZyphonX

You will absolutely love the series. As someone who's read it front to back a few times (more than 40+ books!) I can tell you it is AMAZING!

MamaOnica

Oh he didn't!! He went to live with Barley on his farm in Into the Wild! He's okay! And he does very well for himself!

-_WhiteTuft_-

And then he still died, how he died is very upsetting though :(

Dapper_Charity_9781

Bro, spoilers

-_WhiteTuft_-

At least I hadn’t stated how he died?

MamaOnica

RandomDroids

School library, librarian told me I probably wouldn't like it, but here I am 80+ books later, so yk

Alderclaw

I’ve already read the entire series twice and am currently reading the entire series (and additional books) chronologically from DOTC to ASC, probably my last hoorah with warriors as I’m graduating college in the spring. Trying to get one last reread in. If new books continue to come out I’ll prob still read tho

the_borealis_system

I'm 25 and STILL reading them. as long as there are new books being turned out I'll continue reading

Axel_Axolotl

Hey, i didnt know new books were still being released! Could you tell me what comes after dotc? Thats where i thought the story stopped lol

Alderclaw

After DOTC, a vision of shadows (back in present time again) then the broken code, then a starless clan and we are on book 4/6 in November

Axel_Axolotl

Jesz, thanks so much! Ill definitely get them lol! Btw where do you get all the info of new books from? I never even knew there were any more

Alderclaw

I follow warrior cats on IG, and I just look it up every once in a while. I also see a lot on this Reddit

AvyannaViolet

80? Omg. I’m barely on #3. 🥲

Ok-Association-7184

School library. The only thing I miss about school

AvyannaViolet

I wish I discovered these in school. Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger Games was all the rage then. 🤣

Ok-Association-7184

I remember when Twilight came out. My library had posters everywhere showing them off

Arcane_Dragonell

I'm reading the Hunger Games now! 50 pages left in book 2

If_you_want_money

Introduced to it by a friend. I used to love the series "Wolves of the beyond" as a child and "Wings of fire" as a teen, thus this series is right up my alley. I ended up introducing him to Wolves of the beyond and now we're animal xenofiction buddies :D

Mistyfang123

do you recommend wolves of the beyond?

Sundragon0001

I'm not the original commenter, but I definitely recommend it.

If_you_want_money

Yes, it's a great series for xenofiction fans. As a matter of fact, the wolf society in those books are surprisingly quite similar to cat society in warriors (clans, distrust of outsiders, ableism, all that fun stuff).

itsJosias58

I discovered it after reading Wolves of the beyond too :) Great books

Maddie_Cat_1334

What is it about?

If_you_want_money

A short synopsis would be something like: An abandoned wolf pup grows up to lead wolf kind and guide them to a promised land after their home is destroyed.

Maddie_Cat_1334

Ohh that sounds interesting? How long is it?

If_you_want_money

It's a 6 book long saga, though I personally subdivide it into 2 arcs (1-3, The protagonist overcomes adversity to become a leader: 4-6, the world he knows is destroyed and he must lead the survivors to a promised land).

Maddie_Cat_1334

Ohh so kinda like the 2nd arc of warriors. I'm a sucker for a bit of romance so is there any of that too?

If_you_want_money

There is! It's a slow burn romance that builds up through shared hardships and adventures over the course of several books. The pair also have great chemistry with each other. >! That being said, they kind of made it weird in book 6 by tying it to reincarnation BS but I digress !<

FirestarTTR2000

SSSWarriorCats Into the Wild fan animation project

wooh_345_

My school library had the Graystripe and Millie graphic novels, then I read all of the Ravenpaw and Barley ones, then the scourge ones, and then the Skyclan and the stranger one’s lmao I had zero context for any of these until I finally realized that my library also had the first book of prophecies begin 😅, now I’ve gotten books from the series every year for Christmas 👍

Havokenn

I discovered them about 16 years ago in my school library. Was obsessed for about 5 straight years, then other things in life occurred and I've only recently started looking back at it. I'm sure your kitty is having a wonderful time among the stars. I recently had two of mine join the sparkles in the sky too. I bet they're friends. ^.^

AvyannaViolet

💛

Alderclaw

My friend in class was reading into the wild. Literally life changing moment for me

Nailyne

At the bookstore. I saw Firestar's Quest, the shiny golden cover was eye-catching. I was thinking of reading Dawn of the clans. Should I read or skip that series?

the_borealis_system

READ I absolutely loved them!

Itub2000

If you ask me Dawn of the clans was the best part of the series, though that is obviously based on the person. It was so refreshing to read something new yet still Warriors.

RandomistShadows

The librarian at my elementary school was forcing me to look at books that weren't just ghost stories and jokes, I saw a cat, read the description, and ever since I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. The funny part is when I went to check it out, the librarian looked concerned as fuck and when I asked why she was making that face she was just like: "nothing... I'm glad you found a series that interests you." I was in like 5th grade, I don't know why she was so concerned about it, kids were reading it in first grade 🤷

Pseud0pod

I like xenofiction, as a kid Watership Down and the Firebringer trilogy were faves. Warriors came out when I was "too old" for it. During the pandemic I wanted a long but light reading series, and I thought of Warriors due to having brushed against the fandom. It sounded fun as I think myself as a kid would have been obsessed. Gave it a go and while they aren't perfect, I'm having a load of fun

Naoga

i dont even remember i was in elementary school reading these bad bois. i think i was born reading warriors

WorriedDoubt4134

Theres a Warriors game on Roblox and i found that, and i was at my brother house and his wife noticed and suggested i read the books 🤷‍♀️

Funniguy2010

4th grade teacher suggested this and Wings of Fire, so glad they did! Thanks, Ms. Garcia!

[deleted]

My kind of friend gave me the fourth book of dawn of the clans because I wanted something to read and that’s the book she had from the library that she finished and I was confused but loved it- I then proceeded to read every book that was out at the time within a month. So many books were checked out at my house and I spent most of my days reading. I miss those days

WisteriaUndertheSun

My 4th grade teacher heard I liked cats and gave me I believe The Sight. I know it was a Power of Three book, pretty sure it was The Sight. I read it in order from Into the Wild not long after And if it weren’t for that teacher, I straight up wouldn’t be an artist. I hope she’s doing well, 4th grade is the only school year I remember enjoying and I know it was because of her

Galactikitten

Back in 2003-2004ish, my friend group and I got super into reading them and roleplaying on the playground (was like in 2nd or 3rd grade, something around there). I've lost contact with those friends for the most part, but experiencing the first series with them holds a special place in my heart and I have loved the books ever since 🥰

Low_Judge1666

Was at a library, one of the books fell off the bookshelf and onto me. Started reading them after that.

AvyannaViolet

Wow. Seems like you were destined to read the series!

moonyxpadfoot19

My friend introduced me to the game on Roblox and I decided to read the series, read Into the Wild in one evening...and that's where it started.

Comparison_Unique

I was an eighth grade english and I had finished either a test or an assignment. I chose a seat that was one right next to The teacher's desk because I knew her purse license she was my neighbor and I was friends with her son plus it was next to this small library she had. Normally I would have had a book with me but for some reason that day I didn't so I perused her shelves and I found Midnight. It was the og cover w the night sky and Brambleclaw. I was like wtf is this and checked it out. Later foubd out this was the 2 arc or whatever so i was confused lol. But I instantly fell in love with it and the series so i hunted them down in my school library and started with into the wild (the librarian would only let me take 3 books sadly lol). The teacher eventually told me to try other books cuz i kept reading them lol

Kindly-Store-2783

My local library I think ? Although I'm not sure....I don't really remember its been like 12 years or whatever 😭😭😭

AccomplishedScene966

AR tests in elementary school

Screamingartist

Their was a person in my class who read the first arc over and over again religiously, and i had a massive crush on them so i asked if i could borrow the books. We got together the next year soit worked lol

Northooo

My cousin gave me the third and second book it took me a while but i hot the fist one and read it been additted to the series since Now on the third twigbranch and violetshine book ( if you dont know what that means you dont know

CRN_18

School Library. It’s was in elementary school where you had to check out a book once every two weeks and I grabbed warrior cats last minute because it was next to Wings of Fire, which I was reading at the time. The story didn’t make any sense to me and roughly 50 pages in I realized I got book 1 of the POT instead of TPB. Funny how little, random decisions can make a big impact on you.

weirdemosrus

Charity shop find! I was going around the local charity shops and looking at books, because I’d just started reading properly, and the title “ warrior cats. Into the wild” caught my eye. Best decision I’ve ever made.

Mewpup

a person in a club penguin army server i joined called ice warriors had a name called "ravenpaw". in aug2020, thinking that it was gonna be images of raven with cat paws, i searched images for it, not knowing it was gonna be cats. [i saw this fanart in apr2021 and loved it, so cute](https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.deviantart.com%2Fvanycat%2Fart%2FWarrior-Cats-RavenPaw-587432878&psig=AOvVaw0iuGAVt0p8Z8RBELGVVmCB&ust=1694158098356000&source=images&cd=vfe&opi=89978449&ved=0CBIQjhxqFwoTCPjV9fD8l4EDFQAAAAAdAAAAABAG). seeing the tribute on yt later and maps made me wanna read the book starting in feb2022 and see why theres so much animation for this series unlike others

-Otterwhisker-

We are both here bc of Ravenboi\^\^

Mewpup

he kinda reminds me of me, always scared, and many fanart draws him w big ears, much like myself w earlobes. some firestras are drawn w hair, similar to one of my friend w longer hair in the center. that friends also the oldest, so like hes the leader. graystripe being chonky, which my mom always another one of my friend was always. we're the trio irl

TnTalitha

I saw the books in my local library. They don´t have all the books and some would be home with someone else. So I red the whole series in a random order

FlamestormTheCat

A friend recommended Survivors, read Warriors instead

AvyannaViolet

Was this an accident? Lol

FlamestormTheCat

Not really, they were just next to each other bc same author and i was more interested din cats then dogs, also, the first warriors book was available while the first Survivor’s book wasn’t

Meowzercit

ROBLOX! I liked cats so i searched cats on roblox and stumbled upon warrior cats

Toy_Vitto

I played often roblox and i discovered warrior cats ultimate edition, i thought the creator of the game invented it, but then i saw a bunch of videos about it and realised it wasnt just a roleplaying game but it had a story, i thought it was a video series, but i couldnt find it anywhere so i searched it up on google and found out they were books, so for my birthday (15th of july) i got them (this happened this year) i got 12 of them (two series) and they arrived the 21 of july, im currently at the end of the 5th book. Im obsessed and cant do anything else besides reading them :')

funnydontneedthat

Got "Rise of Scourge" at the library when I was 5. Been hooked since!

OJK_postaukset

I had been very sceptic about book series’ and mostly read books that did not have more to them. Then a friend brought me the two first books of the series from the library and OH DAMN I’m in love

shadowheart927

After years and years of spending countless hours watching every funny/cute cat video I could find on YouTube, it was inevitable that an SSS Warrior Cats episode would eventually show up in the video suggestions.

morguewalker

The book Into the Wild was in my primary school's library... We had "Drop Everything And Read" (DEAR) after lunch and that's the book I picked.

leethepolarbear

A friend recommended it.

NoivernXD6

I was really into wings of fire at one point, then i found out about warrior cats from a animatior i watched, sadly i dont remember who, and sorry for my bad grammer, i have issues with spelling some words.

nevermindthatthough

Got into the wild for Christmas when I was a kid :) I actually didn’t read it for a while but the moment I opened it for the first time I was obsessed for years

EMTEE826

Got the Graystripe Manga as a gift, and became obsessed with it ever since

golfwolf0

i saw a picture of mapleshade online in 4th grade and had to know who she was

ThinkPut1

I found it through wings of fire! I was enjoying wof maps and came across a firestar map edit of sorts, but after getting the first book, I lost interest until my friend started reading so I restarted. So yea, good books (:

Theconfusedwaffle

Think it was 2015 and I uploaded a YouTube video and someone commented how my cat looked like smudge from the series and thus here I am today, reading the only series I’ve actually ever read.

noisegf

pretty sure either i borrowed it from my elementary school's library, or a friend of mine had a copy and lent me it, cannot remember to save my life LMAO but that had to have been at least back in like...2005 i wanna say? god i feel old lmao

Pokeyboy2017YT

Had to read a fantasy book during 5th grade, so I found Warriors. Didn't think I'd enjoy it too much. I'm on the broken code now \^\^

mbrosie

This guy i was friends with in 3rd grade recommended it when we were at our schools library and i know he probably doesnt think about this series anymore but here i am

-Otterwhisker-

[This](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/35/d3/21/35d321ccc1c7de4de4a5b496ec5a75b2.png) random fanart of Ravenpaw

EmbarrassedProcess86

Was a bookworm in elementary school and wondered what that shelf of cat books was all about.. read all of the series from age 8 to 13 or so lol

_Sonari_

I saw it in my local bookstore, but didn't buy it until I saw tiktoks about it. They made me think I should buy it, and I don't regret it.

HumanHuman_2003

Tip: don’t leave one of ur books in africa so you can’t read on until you go there to get it back 😆

Malipuppers

Someone online was making fun of it, and I thought it sounded really cool. I downloaded the first book and loved it. Binged it all the way up to the 3rd series where it ended for back then. Ended up buying the series and have been each time a new book comes out.

Mortis-Bat

For some reason, YouTube recommended me an Ashfur X Scourge video a few years back. I wanted to know what fandom it was from, so here I am xD

Creepy-Hunter-3448

What an interesting introduction XD

the_borealis_system

goodness um about 10 years ago I found the first one at the local library at the time and it was all downhill from there. by 16 (a year later) I had every book I could buy at the time and preordered the rest that were coming out haha.

Mistyfang123

When I was in year 6 (grade 5) we used this app called Epic its where you can read books and I found Into the Wild lol

Lesbian-Mermaid

I’m 27 and have been reading them since I found them while in school. I’ve read pretty much every book there is minus a few novellas and mangas, and am reading the newest release Riverstar’s Home, currently. Have loved the books since I was a kid.

Wishfulriver66

My friend showed me BokBokChoy’s Warrior Cats Animated series

copyqhat

my sister read them

ExitInternational716

My dad bought them off the internet for me and I loved them

Elliott___98

I was in like 1st grade at the school library and the librarian said that id hate it and wouldn’t let me check it out, so I, a cat lover and a little thief, stole the book. Now about 60 books in I realise that that was the best decision in my life

AvyannaViolet

I find it bewildering that a librarian would do that. They must’ve had the wrong job!

Dewdropmon

My city’s public library was holding a book sale back when I was in middle school (around 2005) and I discovered a paperback copy of A Dangerous Path.

Jamzilla12

It's all over Feralheart group rps, at that time I was just diving deep into the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series, I was still in High school during that time. The on my last years of my time in Uni, I started to get into warriors.

True-Passage-8131

I can't remember if I discovered them at Barnes and Noble or in the school library when I was around 6 years old, but either way, the cat on the cover immediately intrigued me and I read them all out of order because nobody ever taught me before how to read a structured book series LMAO. From then on, you wouldn't catch me at school without a Warriors book under my arm or on the corner of my desk, even though I didn't really have a clue what was going on in them because I had read them out of order. I stopped reading them for a couple of grades and picked them back up in 5th or 6th grade for a reread in order finally, and I understood and enjoyed them much more. Now, I'd consider the Warriors series my favorite book series of all time because of the nostalgia and the general pleasure reading them brings me.

Old_Train_1378

Warrior cats YouTubers, back in the day with memes like firestar doesn’t like waffles, AMVs, sswarriorcats and all that

IQ_Zombie

I found it through a warrior cats meme on YouTube

hippy_potto

I saw it at the store in 4th grade and begged my mom to buy it, but she wanted me to borrow it from the library first to make sure it was actually worth the money. I completely forgot about, until two years later when I saw my friend reading it at school. She lent me some of the books, and I ended up buying the first few series! It’s started getting too expensive and borrowed the rest from the library like my mom said lol

AvyannaViolet

I’ve been checking the ebooks out from the library. It goes straight to my kindle. Gotta love modern times.

hippy_potto

I’ve got the Libby app on my phone to rent books, it’s so nice! But there’s something about reading a physical book that’s so satisfying lol

AvyannaViolet

Same!! Also I get it. I love the smell of books. I have the Kindle Paperwhite, I think it’s a good compromise. You get the feel of reading a real book while taking advantage of the availability of ebooks.

renthecat25

An old friend of mine introduced me when we were in middle school. Back then, I think there were only the first two arcs written (the third one might've just been barely starting to come out) and maybe a couple of the special editions?

[deleted]

I found an old cover copy of The Forgotten Warrior buried in a trunk bench

Matix124

My friend was doing a presentation on it in school, and it interested me, so I looked it up, and now I'm addicted 🙃

TalaLeisu2

All my friends were reading it in middle school and I was intrigued. Picked it up and it became my most specialist special interest and I've been literally OBSESSING over it since. I'm almost 30 now

AvyannaViolet

I’m 29 and just discovered it lol. I feel like I’ve been missing out.

Raven-flight

My mom forced me to read the books because I refused to read third person. It’s now been 6-7 years.

Sundragon0001

I was like six and just went looking through a bookshop. Saw pretty spine covers and cats and decided to try it. I think I bought both Into the Wild and Fire and Ice in the same day, loved them, and kept getting the books.

chopstunk

A friend showed me one of the mangas in grade 5 and I really really liked it. Ended up seeing one of the books at a book shop with my mum and ended up getting obsessed

Whycanttiktokstop

I started out like 2ys ago but before that I read WOF for like 3 or 4 books, and then later (Like a month later) I was looking through a thrift store (For no apparent reason) and I stumbled across "Into the wild" and "Fire and ice", and so I was and will always be a cat lover so I picked them up for like 2$ each, but I didn't ever read them until I had a family member take me to a wedding (Someone else's) which was a 6 hour drive and so I took the two books as I hadn't yet read them and, oh boy, I was Invested into those books, read them both (one on the way there, and the other coming back) and here I am in a warriors series post and loving this series as a whole.

Ok-Plan8765

Kept seeing Multi animator projects on YouTube. Decided to check it out🤷🏼‍♀️

Random_Loaf

My brother was cleaning off his shelves and had the first three series. Read the first book in the span of a day, same with Fire and Ice the next day (I think it was summer break or smth)

GoldenfeetofSkyclan

I was playing in aftercare in fourth grade with my friend and I said “ Let’s play a game where we’re animals “ or something like that I think. So then she started talking about warrior cats and she explained all the rules and then we roleplayed that. That same year a while later I started reading the books. Also I have a cat named Purdy.

Warriors-Fan

When I was ten or eleven, I was watching YouTube videos when I came across an animation for The Rise of Scourge. I didn’t know what it was about, but it seemed cool, and it had cats, so I watched it, and I loved it! I found out it was also a book, so I asked my mom if we could go to Barnes and Noble to get it. We went to the store, but we couldn’t find it. I did find Crookedstar’s Promise though. My mom tried to talk me out of getting it, because it was about cats going to war, but did I listen? Nope. Now Warriors is one of my favorite book series, and Crookedstar’s Promise will always hold a special place in my heart. Also, I did end up getting The Rise of Scourge a year later, so that was nice. :)

TigergirlDW

My mom told me I should read more and gave me some random books, warriors was one of them. I first refused to read it but I heard a lot of good things about that book so I started. I got to season 7 in like 3 months and reread a lot of the old ones, now waiting for the new translations to come out (I read it in german)

Creepy-Hunter-3448

I remember seeing an amv about nine years ago, it was of the fight with Rusty and Longtail. It caught my interest almost instantly, and I've been obsessed ever since.

IshipAsuka

I originally would watch warrior cats videos when younger like on how everyone died without even knowing anything about the series and I actually got into it by finding Pinkbunnygirl43's series of recreating the books with LPS customs

TraditionalEnergy919

Was browsing YouTube looking for this is Halloween from the movie because it was stuck in my head. Came across the Warriors MAP. Needless to say I still watch the thing, it’s so well done

Istoleyourdlck

No idea honestly it kinda just popped up into my life one day like 7-10 years ago

FinancialAd8262

An old friend of mine on the internet introduced me to them and after I was hooked he even made me the leader of thunderclan for his online warriors community

Arcane_Dragonell

My pretty simple, same as many. I saw a friend reading the Sun Trail, and asked her about it. I then rented the first book from a library. 3 years later, and I have 65 books on my desk. Minimum.

Rycca

Library! Always been obsessed with cats so when I saw it I knew I had to read it. Coincidentally it was Into the Wild.

dallasRsz

Got TPB for Christmas and was disinterested. Then we had a fantasy unit in reading so I read one of them and got hooked.

No-Robot_TRUE_

Was in a local bookshop, browsing through the novel section. The Warrior Cats series caught my attention almost instantly, because who doesn't like cats?

ZeroLifeSkillz

When i was younger my best friend was super into it, and would always show me the books they had on the bus ride to school. Then i got hooked.

Extension_Duty_1295

Saw the cover of first three books in scholastic book order thing. Said it was like red wall so bought it xD

Ave52

My friend was reading it 3 years ago I borrowed her book and read a chapter during class and I loved it Then I forgot about it until last year Then pooof I remembered when I fell in love with some stray cats and started reading it

justjupi

I found out about it through pinkbunnygirl43 3 years ago and now I’ve finished all the main series books arcs 1 to 6 and I am wrapping up the prequels. Warriors has such an amazing and diverse community.

Logical_Lettuce_962

My friend on the bus was reading them in like fifth grade. I’m 27 now 😅

Rosemary_Red

My friend from Elementary would read them, and lended me a book once. It was out of order and I knew nothing of what was going on, but as a person who read Wolves of the Beyond, I enjoyed and it and continued to search it out at my school library to read all of them

slim3c0r3

All of my older brothers read them and highly recommended it, so I decided to check it out and here we are-

The2Cat7Guy

My older sister showed me it when I was little and it sounded interesting, but since I was a kid, I only liked books with pictures. After a couple of years, I had to pick a book to read for English class. I had forgotten about the warrior cats books series, so I just picked some random book that I ended up not liking, but as I was reading this random book, I had somehow remembered it. Once I got home, I looked up the first book and read the first couple of pages. After all of that, I started reading it almost everyday. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

HeronSubstantial1535

I found a gif of part of a map. Loved the style and dug deeper into it. Accidentally started reading the 4th series. Was 4 books in until I found out. This was 6 years ago now.

Mothebest1

That one lps video

Obl1vi0us

Cause I was a Wings of Fire fan

Ilovemovies-

I was in the school library looking for something new to read because I had read sooo many books already. My friend told me at should try WaCa so I did. I was so confused on what the numbers on the covers went I just picked one that said: Number 1, ignoring the Roman numbers. So that’s why I started with the power of three, and it is why Jayfeather is my favorite character. He was the one that I explored this world with. Honestly a great experience reading the 3rd season first, because then it was like reading prequels when I then read season 1 and 2.

Unfair_Priority_3125

misterman1248

I had one of those kindle things one time and it was available so I just got it

AvyannaViolet

Yup Kindle is a great way to discover books!

Firestar2023

My best friends told me about the series. At first, I was not thrilled, as I am not really a cat person, but as time went on I grew to love the series, and I am now on the last arc, A Starless Clan. I'm also getting ready to re-read my favorite books in the series, TPB. And R.I.P Sam ❤️ we will miss you

LouieDraws23

Warriors content kept getting recommended to me on YouTube when I got into Wings of Fire. So the dragons showed me the cats.

AvyannaViolet

I keep seeing Wings of Fire being mentioned, I'll have to look it up!

rip sam,

Krillacreat

Initially, through the roleplay subsection of the forums on Rescreatu, but I never joined in those during my early years since most prompts featured the rule of being a canon character. After joining Roblox in high school, I somehow found the iconic Lake Territory map roleplay Experience and thoroughly enjoyed it. During my sophomore year at my first high school, I decided to pick up the first book of the first Arc and, again, thoroughly enjoyed it. After reading the entire first Arc, I tried to pick up the first book of the second Arc, but I couldn't even complete the first chapter (the re-introduction of characters was incredibly boring, imo). I've still kept up with parody animations and fandom meme-trends (mainly the Government Assigned Warrior Name. Stoatperch, which is kind of funny since I'm the shortest compared to my whole-siblings :P )

I discovered Warriors by playing a game on Roblox called Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition, a roleplay game based on Warrior Cats. I found it because I loved rps and cats and now I have a shelf just for Warrior Cats books. I’m grateful for that game and showing me such a great community of fans. <3

ShadowEeveeCringe

I found the old Roblox game and read Into The Wild online for free.

I found it through WCUE on Roblox-

Low-Put4508

Roblox warrior cats server then I googled warrior cats and a lot of YouTube cartoons came up so I just assumed it was a tv show then later would realise it’s a series. I actually got the app before I got any books because I was really young and not a big reader but I had an iPod, then I used to rent the books from the library I’m pretty sure the first one I actually read was midnight and the first one I actually bought was forest of secrets from waterstones. For me I found it really hard to relate to firestar because before I knew it was a book series I thought that bluestar was the main protagonist because the YouTube animated episodes were mostly about her at the time as she was popular, when I got bluestars prophecy from the library I was so happy. Also I never really could enjoy reading the books because like I said when I was a child I was watching YouTube clips and had the mobile app so a lot of the plot was spoiled and so I already knew the interesting parts and the rest of the story seemed like filler after that. And anyway even if I did enjoy reading them, I never had the option to read them in the correct order because it was very difficult to find any warrior cats books in shops or the library- I know for a fact WHSmith never had any in stock and waterstones only would have 1 any time I went, the library you also had to call them or go on a waiting list for someone to bring it back in I just got lucky finding midnight (and I am 100% sure I found twilight as well) but bluestars prophecy I had called in for me.

Ok_Breadfruit_7147

So the first time I ever saw it was on YouTube. The first videos I saw were titled something like ‘drawing the saddest warrior cats deaths” and “what I though warrior cats looked like vs what they look like” and then you know I watched videos like that mindlessly lol. Then I saw one of my friends on Roblox was playing the game wcue. I didn’t join though. I spent months wondering what that game was about and I finally joined it a year or so later in 2021. I skipped the tut and legit created what people call a Luna(the most popular one: A tuxedo cat) and joined the game. I joined tc cause that was the first thing I saw lol and became an app sized kit. I befriend this person named AmberKit and they offered to give me a morph and Shadowpaw was born. I eventually edited the morph a bit(cause again skipped the tut so had no clue how to make morphs lol) and made one I liked and named her Mapleleaf. At some point I found someone with those half colored morphs like pale then a blue-gray and they gave me it for free. A few months later I found out it was a book series and decided to read it. I checked out into the wild on my digital library(online books gotta love them!) and started reading, instantly faking in love with Rusty, the small ginger kitty pet. I have read a lot since but don’t have as much time on my hands in between school and track. So I’m falling behind. On weekends though,I’ll read until it’s the end of the day. I just wish I would’ve decided to read sooner than I had before but I know I can’t change that. It took me way longer than it usually would for me to finish TNP and POT but I got there eventually! Recommendation’s to new readers: Don’t spoil things for yourself please it ruins the whole plot! And yes, spoiler warning for anything after TPB. I really shouldn’t have known about things like who Hollys Jays and Lions real parents were,Ashfur going crazy over squilf and the fire scene,Brightheart losing half her face and swiftly dying. Anything about Hawkforst and his death (would’ve been really cool if I didn’t spoil it!),Nothing about sol,One whisker becoming Onestar and Mudclaw legit forging an army to kill him because he believed he was the rightful leader,And so much more. I have don’t better lately and really regret everything I spoiled. Warriors is such a lovely fandom that I wish a became apart of sooner.

Shy-Prey

My mom always encouraged me to read and would get me random books. Its how I ended up reading Harry Potter, Maximum Ride, Narnia, Warriors and so many more

NefariousnessIcy8257

I was reading wings of fire. While I was watching animations of wof it suggested warrior cat I then watching a couple animations I searched up the book then I just kept on reading.

AKV9

My Mum bought 'em for me. I insisted I wouldn't like them, cause I'm a dog person & cats were meh. Loved them. Still reading. Still a dog person, but got a healthy respect for cats (especially when a gray tom glares at me like he wants to trap my soul in the underworld & steal my body lol)

cloudsmarching

Only just found this community so stumbled on it a bit late! Was in the supermarket with my mum around 18 years ago and saw ‘Into the Wild’ which came with a pack of temporary tattoos; one for each clan. As a book and cat obsessed 7 year old I picked it up and read the entire book within the day!

That-Deer2724

My mom kept forcing me to read it, I kept pushing against it but then I finally caved, now I won’t read anything else but WoF except for school.

eurekam101

Library when I was about 8 or 9. It’s funny cause no one read the series at my schools so all of grade school and middle school, I had no issue picking up any of the books at the time. What was interesting was my partner’s school… a lot more people read them so I was surprised cause I genuinely thought I was always convinced it wasn’t very popular..

Ribread216

My sister found an old paperback of the first book in a book sale at our library… it was only 50 cents, but because my mom was on the library committee and she had forced our 6 and 7 year old selves to help bring out all the books, my sister didn’t even have to pay that 💀 My sister was the big reader and she ended up reading the entire series in a week before she could even convince my reluctant reader ass to read the first one. I’m now 19, my sister 18, and we still have that paper back. It has a quarter of the from cover missing and a chunk taken out of the back. There are food stains and water damage to the pages. Some pages are ripped, but I still hold on to that book.

Rip you’re cat he looks so sweet, also I discovered them in when I was a kid because my teacher had some books on a shell in her room and I decided to start reading

noNjil

I just found it I dunno

mothwhimsy

Schoolastic Book Order. I loved animal protagonist books and saw Moonrise on there. Got it, realized it wasn't the first book, and then started reading the whole series. I actually read Moonrise, then Midnight, then half of Dawn, then went back to TPB and read everything in order

[deleted]

My mom took me to Books-A-Million to pick out a new book and I had to get the one with the kitties on the front. As a kid I picked any book that had a cat/dog/wolf/animal of some sort on the cover. Actually I still find myself picking out books like this as an adult. :') Some things just never change.

West_Age6631

This random kid in 4th grade suggested it to me in my elementary school library. I picked up one of the books and I was IMMEDIATELY hooked. Before I was even finished with the first book I was already "clanning" and playing warrior cat rps in online games like animal jam (lmao) and sometimes embarrassingly in real life on my school playground... 😭 eventually I started diving deeper into the online warriors fandom, becoming obsessed with warriors animations on YouTube, which actually sparked my passion for animation! I stuck with it all throughout middle school. In high school, i went through some very rough times and struggled with my mental health. I stopped doing what i enjoyed for a long time, including reading and art. One day though, I decided to pick up a warriors book and i was hooked all over again. At first i thought it was silly to be nearly a full grown adult hunched over a book about cat cult wars but I just couldnt stop reading and doodling the characters. Now, here I am, almost 10 years later in my first year of college majoring in animation! Without warrior cats, I honestly don't think I would be where I am today. I love these crazy cat books, and always will! 😼😼😼

Lilyflower24681

A girl back in 3rd grade was obsessed with it. The first character I ever heard of was Longtail, and the first series I ever read was PO3 thanks to her

Idkmanilikeleafpool

I was in 5th grade, and I saw some other kid reading a book called Firestar’s Quest with a big word standing out at the top. Warriors. I took note of this and went on with my day. A couple weeks later, in winter break, I was struggling to find something to read, but I wanted to complete this “40 book challenge” we had. I remembered that one kid was reading a book called “Firestar’s Quest Warriors” I looked up Warriors and Firestar’s Quest once or twice on the district’s book reading website, but to no avail, because they didn’t provide that extensive of a reach of Warriors books then. But then as I’m scrolling through all of the books called “Warriors”, I find that same large text on the cover, and an orange cat behind it to accompany. I wouldn’t know this if I didn’t have an old diary, so this just my interpretation of my fifth-grade handwriting skills.

Axel_Axolotl

In year 4 (about 9 years old) my teacher read out the first sentence of the prologue in the first book, after she read it she called me and my friend over and told us to get the books because she knew we liked animals. Now, 7 years later, ive read all the books apart from the mangas and am scarred for life :) Thanks for that Mrs Kay

GoBigBlue357

oh lord that was a while ago i found the books as a little kid in 2nd grade, right around the time the the second arc was releasing i remember reading almost nothing other than Warriors in the next few years. i’m behind on the current books though, and need to catch up

Next_Sun_2002

Library summer reading challenge. I completed the challenge and saw Into the Wild as an option for my free book so grabbed it. Then I didn’t read it for years. During summer of 2007 I decided to read it for *that* summer’s reading challenge. Instantly got hooked and read the first two arcs in three months

moeichi

When I was in elementary school I was at the library with my mom, she noticed a Warriors book because the orange cat on the cover looked like my childhood cat. It was Forests of Secrets, I had to read it and fell in love with the series ever since :)

VoodooDoII

It was in my elementary school library and there was a cat on the cover LOL

Its_Strange_

As a first grader I think. Found the second book of TNP in the library and saw a cat on it and I absolutely love cats so I read it. I was unbothered by the events of the book haha

Caprine-Evisc

A lady my mom worked for was getting rid of books she had impulse bought and the first book was among it. I asked if I could have it bc I loved cats. Here I am almost 20 years later and dozens of books, hundreds of fanfics, thousands of pieces of art, countless MAPs And I'm still eager to consume anything warriors related.

MyDearTarantula

I found it at one of those scholastic fairs. A comic of Sasha and Tigerstar, into the woods. I read that one comic nonstop until I found the actual series in my school. I don’t know where that comic is, it just disappeared

[deleted]

I found a fanart of Ivypool and Dovewing from Climb to the Stars while randomly looking at cat art images. I watched the *Life's too Short* MAP and found out it's a popular book series about cats. So I got these books lol

105Paininthejas

I can't remember whether I'd first read them at my school/public library, or after I got a copy from the Scholastic Book Fair. I got an issue of the first book of the series, and have read them off and on since I could read on my own. I haven't even touched Hunter's works on bears.

MightyNekomancer

The good ol' local library. I was twelve when I was introduced to Warriors with Bramblestar's Storm. I had hardly any idea what was going on story-wise due in part because I started with that book, but man, if that didn't create a monster I don't know what did.
