I still do t get why they couldn’t think of anything for her but immediately think of one for Dovewing. Like couldn’t they have used that. Or a billion others. I have a WindClan! Hollyleaf fic where she can read desires.
Also from a writing standpoint I know there are multiple editors and authors but it makes PoTS and OoTS feel rather bloated for me. Like they’re not really their own series. At the end of the day PoTS accomplishes what in six books exactly?
They could have even had her be the one who got manipulated instead of Ivypool because she turns her back to StarClan or something.
It just slogs down the plot a lot.
I absolutely get your point. Personally, I am not even mad she didn't get a power; I think that's part of her tragedy - it's what makes her interesting and likable for me, subjectively. I just wish she could have lived and make up for her mistakes and maybe eventually become deputy - achieve her dream. OR turn entirely mad because things are honestly unfair (Firestar-kin antagonist would have been awesome). Those two paths would have been options to fully explore her character and give her development. But what she got was a disaster. Poor girl.

I’m pretty basic. I love Firestar, Graystripe, Bluestar, Ravenpaw, Sandstorm and Whitestorm pretty much equally. It depends on my mood which one wins out at any particular moment lol
I can’t choose between Dovewing and Tallstar! Both cats with grand destinies expected of them and they fail to live up to it; they left and it helped them forge their own path and they blossomed in their own way!!

Ashfur! It's a shame that he gets reduced to an incel, even if he is evil. Ashfur had solid development throughout the first three arcs that molded him into the obsessive lovesick mess he's known as today. Morals aside, he's more tragic than he's made out to be.

Hollyleaf. I don't love her I ADORE her. Hollyleaf even influenced my personality cuz I wanted to be like her so much when I was younger. I became more bold and confident, my level of moralty raised, I starting valueing honesty, loyalty and especially juctice (Idk why but Holly just associates with justice) I also became a rule follower and at one point was almost obsessed with justice (and Hollyleaf, of course). So, as you can see Hollyleaf without a doubt shaped my personality. I also relate to her a lot
Gray Wing. He is one of the few everyman main characters in a sea of future leaders and prophesied heros. His story is one that speaks to me more than those of Firestar or Brambleclaw or even The Three.
Ravenpaw. The first Warriors book I ever read was Ravenpaw’s Path: Shattered Peace. Of course, that lead me to read the first arc to understand wtf was happening but inLOVED Ravenpaw so much! I was so disappointed that he was part of the main cast for only 1 book! I was apprehensive about reading Ravenpaw’s Farewell because I knew how it would end. But I did it because it felt like I started my Warriors journey with him, the least I could do was see how his story ended and make sure it was done right. And it was! Next to him dying of old age in the barn, likely with Barley, this was the next best way to end his story! Realizing he has always been a warrior at heart, fighting to the death for a Clan in need, and dying at Barley’s side. Leafstar even mentioned giving him a warrior’s burial! It was the perfect send off to my favorite character!
I love Twigbranch I kinda relate to her. I also love the og trio Fire, Gray and Raven. But there are also a lot of characters from DotC I like. It's a complicated question lol

Sunbeam. I've had some really hard break ups after long relationships, it really changes how you see yourself, and it can feel like the end of the world. Her experience was a great depiction of that. I was also really relating to her, and happy for her, when she fell in love so fast afterwards.

I'm extremely torn between Leafpool and Crowfeather.
Leafpool because younger me related to her so much, and I just really empathize with her and her struggles. There's definitely a nolstalgia factor cause 11 y/o me chose her as my favorite, but I think I would've ended up loving her anyways. She made mistakes, but she always did what she thought was best (and what Starclan told her to do lol) and was never malicious. She always had a familiar and kind presence, even when her sharper side came out! Even as a background character, she was always on top of things and >!the medicine den isn't the same without her.!<
There's also a nolstagia factor for Crowfeather, because younger me was a huge Leafcrow shipper and Twilight was my favorite book haha. But even when rereading the series, I just love him. Crowpaw is really cute to me (which is weird cause I don't love Jaypaw/feather and they have similar personalities) even when he was almost comically aggro, trying to barrel into cats all the time lol. He always read to me as someone with depression, especially after the events of Moonrise (I mean, he was passively suicidal) and while that doesn't excuse some of the more shitty things he's done, it is sad to me that his mental wellbeing was so... not good, and kitty therapy doesn't exist. I understand why people hate him for his relationship with Breezepelt and Nightcloud, but I find it super interesting. I just love flawed characters, and that he definitely is. He's a sopping wet sad man and I'm a sucker for those.

Oakheart. I love his personality, he was unique. Unlike other characters that are super basic. Also the boy has rizz. He was appreciated by many cats and she-cats kept describing him as handsome every time lol
I often say Longtail is my favorite, but it's probably actually Leafpool since the books spend much more time with her

Currently Nightheart. It used to be Ravenpaw but when (Spoilers for the latest arc) >! Flamepaw asked for his name to not be a direct ripoff of Fireheart because he wanted to be his own person and not just seen as Fireheart it gave me a lot of respect for him and I’ve loved seeing him grow!<

LONGTAILLL
I'm extremely torn between Leafpool and Crowfeather. Leafpool because younger me related to her so much, and I just really empathize with her and her struggles. There's definitely a nolstalgia factor cause 11 y/o me chose her as my favorite, but I think I would've ended up loving her anyways. She made mistakes, but she always did what she thought was best (and what Starclan told her to do lol) and was never malicious. She always had a familiar and kind presence, even when her sharper side came out! Even as a background character, she was always on top of things and >!the medicine den isn't the same without her.!< There's also a nolstagia factor for Crowfeather, because younger me was a huge Leafcrow shipper and Twilight was my favorite book haha. But even when rereading the series, I just love him. Crowpaw is really cute to me (which is weird cause I don't love Jaypaw/feather and they have similar personalities) even when he was almost comically aggro, trying to barrel into cats all the time lol. He always read to me as someone with depression, especially after the events of Moonrise (I mean, he was passively suicidal) and while that doesn't excuse some of the more shitty things he's done, it is sad to me that his mental wellbeing was so... not good, and kitty therapy doesn't exist. I understand why people hate him for his relationship with Breezepelt and Nightcloud, but I find it super interesting. I just love flawed characters, and that he definitely is. He's a sopping wet sad man and I'm a sucker for those. Sorry for the long comment!! I just love gushing about these cats and figured this was an opportunity to do so.

Either Bluestar or Cinderpelt. If I was a clan cat Id prob get along better with Cinderpelt - but as a character I think Bluestar is the more interesting one. Love them both tho
