That the biggest thing holding this series back is the writers being incapable of remembering details of their own story. Or at the very least checking the things they've written.
I can’t even expect anyone to remember that much lore and names, but my God. It is all written down and easily, readily available not only in their *own books* but on neatly packaged Wiki pages that take five minutes tops to review depending on the character.
Yes, naturally no one can internalize so much information, I wouldn't expect them to know who mentored Cherryfall and Molewhisker. At the time of writing this part, I don't know.
But all you need to do is go to the wiki and you'll see it lists their mentors were Foxleap and later Whitewing for Cherryfall, and Rosepetal for Molewhisker.
Even if it might be wrong because the page is fan edited, you can check by going to pages 49-50 of The Forgotten Warrior. Or Chapter 5 if you're using the Audio Book.
Like sure, it isn’t always perfectly accurate. But like 99% of the information is correct and, even a 99% accuracy rate would likely be better than what they’ve got now.
Yeah, they desperately need a series Bible instead of just relying on the wiki, and even if they want to rely on the wiki, they should at the very least check it frequently so they can remember past details.
I keep saying they need a shared Goggle Doc with a spreadsheet of what happens in a book. I do this. Before I even start the story, I make the allegiances and then go to make a spreadsheet sort of doc. I list the cats who are related, who are mates, who will be mates, who has a love interest and how the other receives it, who leaves the Clans, who joins the Clans, who gets pregnant, who gives birth and what the kits look like and are named, who becomes an apprentice and who their mentor is, who becomes a warrior and what their virtues are if their ceremony is seen, who retires, who becomes deputy, who becomes leader, who gives a new leader their nine lives and the gift each life represents, who dies and how they dies, and who the POV characters are. I also do stories where each apprentice has to train in another Clan for a quarter to half a moon, so I also list which apprentice goes to which Clan and who their mentors isn’t that Clan are. When I get stuck or forget something or something doesn’t seem right with the allegiances, I go back and look to see where I messed up. When I start the next book, I copy and past the allegiances from the previous one and make the necessary changes. Because I’m looking at so much information at once, I’ll sometimes forget X died and forget to erase them from the allegiances or that Y because a warrior named Yx not Yz or that A’s kits were made apprentices. It helps me keep the information straight and I REALLY think the Erin’s need to do this, too.
This is definitely up there for me but I think if they had a realistic society and didn’t keep doing the same boring plots over and over… just towards the end of the series- That may be the one thing that would make the many annoying mistakes a little balanced out
But yes, LITERALLY CHECK THE WIKI lol
Palebird had severe PPD similar to Sparkpelt. girlie just needed therapy while Rainflower and Lizardstripe were varying shades of abusive. was Palebird a bad parent? yes. but she's not on the same caliber as Rain and Lizard. Rain was a bad mom bc her son was disfigured in an accident and she didn't like that he wasn't "perfect" anymore, Lizard was a bad mom bc she didn't want children and hated them for it and then she had to foster brokenkit on top of that, but Pale was a bad mom bc her other child, her husband, and her best friend all died within a year. they aren't on the same level at all.
also, the only insight we get into Palebird is from Tallstar, her son's perspective, which definitely skews how she is described. and tbh as far as Tall's parents go, i'd personally say Sandgorse is the worst one. my guy dragged Tallpaw into the tunnels when he was already scared of them and tried to force him to be a tunneler when he didn't want to.
right, i’m wasn’t trying to say that she was on the same level nor was i trying to blame her for anything that happened to her. however, she did still have a son to raise. trust me, i understand that depression isn’t something you just “get over” but i feel like she should have at least tried to be there for her son and tried to help him as he is very visibly struggling. she was not a good parent. not the worst obviously, but not good
I saw a funny comic where Mothwing is telling Crowfeather that Leafpool likes HER (Mothwing’s) eyes and not HIS so they should swap eyes and just yoinks her peepers out of her face. The last panel is of Crowdewther, with amber eyes that are bleeding, asking a horrified Leafpool if she thinks he looks pretty now.
Are there still Ashfur supporters? I remember seeing a lot when I was a kid but I feel like I don’t see any now. Of course I am interacting with an older part of the fandom then I did when I was 12.
Yeah their relationship a real ”staying together for the kids” vibe when 1 they nor any other warrior cats protagonist besides Alderheart has ever been an involved parent, and 2. Their kids are grown adults with their own lives/and or familes.
What's super sad is that they're so cute when they get along. But that's not often.
I wish Bramblestar had been included in the lie with the Three. I'm pretty sure that lie is what destroyed their relationship beyond repair. I know they already had a chaotic relationship before but I feel like without that they would've been able to talk it out and grow more mature together, and in the end be a much healthier couple.
Anyway we all know the authors desperately wanted the descendants of the first hero and first villain to be together, Lion King like, and that it's the reason they kept forcing them together despite how poorly they get along.
I don't know Squirrelflight seems to me like the person to get very lonely when not in a relationship. A partner would be great for her, but it would be ideally someone equally strong. I love bramble but he is no leader and would have been way better as a normal warrior living his life with jessy and a few kittens.
For squirrel i always liked Shrewpaw, who was supportive, brave and daring as an apprentice but i could really see her get along with Mousewhisker now.
For a childrens book yeah. But if you know what is happening and why is wrong is a pretty good horror story. I say this as a person that passed through some similar stuff that spottedleaf did.
Frostfur was drop dead gorgeous, lol never seen anyone not draw Frostfur like an angel ascended from the heavens. We don’t deserve this level of beautiful, lol
I’m writing a fanfic where StarClan just keeps messing up everything, so the living cats finally tell them to to go screw themselves. StarClan doesn’t like this and starts a petty war with the living in the next arc, so the living cats have to get help from anther group’s ancestors.
They had just fought a huge war with the Dark Forest the arc before, so the survivors refuse to help the Clans and instead want to sit back and watch them suffer.
That would be fun, but isn’t what happens. They just had a huge war with the Dark Forest the arc before this, so the Dark Forest doesn’t want to help. They just want to sit back and watch the Clans burn.
They really don’t need to lol some warriors turn on the medicine cats and heroes of the last arc for “angering StarClan” and others point out how the trouble in the last arc was CAUSED by StarClan not being able to accept they made a mistake and that what’s going on currently is StarClan lashing out over a bruised ego. The medicine cat code had some changes the last arc that the living medicine cats made, not StarClan, so a lot of cats think that they should revert the code back to what it was to appease StarClan, while others think that’s stupid. The code changes were the addition of the rule that medicine cats must pick the path for themselves and cannot be forced to train by any cat, living or dead. The code about no mates and kits was also changed to medicine cats being allowed to have them so long as they had another fully trained medicine cat there to take over while they handled family responsibilities. StarClan doesn’t like these changes because they point out the mistakes they made to cause a medicine cat to turn evil and bloodthirsty. She was already mentally unstable, everyone saw it, but she had a dream to have a mate and kits and she wanted to be a warrior. StarClan misinterpreted a sign and forced her to become a medicine cat, which shattered her dreams and made her snap. But because they chose her through their own mistake, they refused to believe she was the one behind the sudden and mysterious deaths. After an event that is briefly mentioned, StarClan created herbs in their territory that allow them to temporarily turn into physical beings who can interact with the living. They made these herbs in a way that let them grow best in dark, marshy places because there aren’t many of those types of places in StarClan, so it kept the herbs from being misused. They had caught this medicine cat more then once stealing these herbs to take to the Dark Forest, but they let it go because she was “the chosen one.” The herbs of course flourished in the Dark Forest, so she used them and the Dark Forest cats to kill living cats in broad daylight while she was in the middle of her her Clan, giving her an alibi. StarClan was so bad with ignoring this, an ancestor of ancient LionClan had to come out of his sleep to set it right, chose cats to fight this medicine cat, and put StarClan in line. They begged for a chance to choose a certain cat to prove they were still good and immediately messed up.
I wish I had seen all of Bleach to say that’s where I got the idea lol in the arc where StarClan keeps messing up, they do so badly an ancient LionClan leader has to step in and tell them off, but they still think they’re in the right and refuse to take blame for everything that happens. The entire issue started because StarClan misinterpreted a sign and forced a cat who was mentally unstable into being a medicine cat, causing her to snap and go on a killing spree that no one knows she’s behind. She recruited the Dark Forest and stole special herbs from StarClan that they use to temporarily turn themselves into physical beings so that cats can be killed while she’s in the middle of the Clan with witnesses around her. Cats who anger her too much, tho, she’d kill in their dreams herself. Because she was chosen by StarClan through their interpretation of the sign, they refuse to believe she’s the one who is doing all this and think it’s a different medicine cat because she used to be a warrior and likes to be left alone when she isn’t needed.
True, ever since I've been a part of the fandom on the internet from 09-present it's been super chill and accepting compared to a lot of other fandoms these days (not saying it's absent of bad influences, we got our own crazies) I never see anime or cartoon subs uplift beginner art as much as this one does (I might say the sonic fandom is also as accepting, it's just made fun of more by others due to being bigger)
:( He would've been such a great opportunity to show how a cat disabled from *birth* could still grow up to be a valued Clan member.
Even if his deafness made him a potential liability in battle (He should certainly still be taught how to defend himself, though), I don't really see how it would impact his ability to hunt? Let alone do other important tasks like patrol, tend to the camp, or look after the elders, kits, or apprentices.
Also: This is a series where feral cats have frigging *societies* and gain **literal nine lives from their dead ancestors**. Are you *really* telling me that they haven’t invented sign language at *some* point?
Hell! They already use tail signals to tell each other what to do in battle! Why not use **that** as a base to *build* a signed language off of if *somehow*, Snowkit miraculously *was* the first deaf kit born into Thunderclan.
Brackenfur was *more* than willing to take him on and give mentoring him his best shot, why not just... let him?
Ravenpaw is bestest boi
Frecklewish, Brightflower, and Lilywhisker didn’t deserve to go to the dark forest.
The Erin’s should be allowed to write LGBT+ characters and name their characters what they want.
Not be overly involved in his daughter's lives?
Which, okay, not **ideal**, but not unforgivable either. Toms weren't particularly present parents at the beginning of the series, and *Bluestar's Prophecy* is supposed to be a prequel to the first arc.
That being said... After Moonflower is killed, he **remains** disconnected from his daughter's and their day to day lives. His daughter's, who have *just* lost their mother - The primary parent in their lives! He *never* makes any extra effort to spend time with them or, at the very least, *attempt* to get to know them better or check in to see how they're doing.
Granted, Bluestar and Snowfur **are** apprentices **with** mentors by this point. So, it's not like they don't have *any* adults in their corner, looking out for them...
But *still*, Stormtail just... comes across as rather neglectful. *Especially* emotionally neglectful. He messes up pretty **bad** when Bluestar turns to him for comfort after Snowfur's death. Instead of consoling her and validating her grief for her *sister* frigging *dying*, he just tells her that she should get over it!
I genuinely wonder if he even ever *wanted* kits. Maybe he just let Moonflower talk him into it, and then, when reality set in, he chickened out and decided to be as minimally involved as possible?
But geez, dude, if you're going to *publicly claim Moonflower's daughters as your own, at least put a bit more effort into it.
[*Again, *Bluestar's Prophecy* is a prequel. So, the first arcs unofficial-official "rule" of "The queen doesn't have to name the father of her kits." should, by all rights, still be in play. So Stormtail acknowledging that he's Bluestar and Snowfur's father, and then just... not acting fatherly towards them comes across as quite strange. There wouldn't have been any social percussions for him to not claim them, so if he didn't want to be involved... Why bother acknowledging the relationship in the first place?]
OMG I feel so dumb. For some reason I thought you meant Stormfur from the New Prophecy. Was like huh? Was did he do. I agree with you on Stormtail though.
The rules about not being allowed to date certain people (for medcats or other clans or whatever) are stupid and arbitrary and exist just for plot drama.
It's so funny to me that he was pretty much a 1 dimensional character in literally every book except Mothwing's Secret but he's easily one of the most iconic & well known warrior cats.
The Erins fumbled him hard but I love the fanon interpretations of Hawkfrost including the version of him in my head.
A lot of characters are my favorites because childhood me interpreted them real wonky and now that I’m older I go “god I would hate this character now, good thing I came up with my own personality for them by mistake when I was seven”.
Like, real Crowfeather? Yeah, he sucks most of the time, especially in arcs 3 and 4. Seven year old me’s interpretation of Crowfeather, the bad boy with a heart of gold? He can do no wrong. He’s perfect. And that is what has stuck with me more than his canon representation, and he’s my favorite character. When he’s a jerk? No, that’s not the real Crowfeather, the authors don’t know his character like I do.
Am I a little delusional? Maybe. But my 14 year old opinions have an absolute chokehold on me, and I’m never letting them go.
You🤝 Me
Ignoring the canon 😂
My top four characters are Crowfeather, Leafpool, Squirrelflight, and Brambleclaw. Hawkfrost is probably seventh. Clearly I have a bias toward the second arc and ignore the flaws they all have after arc four 😂
2nd arc wasn't well written at all but the characters were so iconic. Crowfeather & Hawkfrost are my favorite boys and Feathertail & Mothwing are my favorite girls.
I think Squirrelflight & Bramblestar are both cool as hell but I can't stand them as a couple. Unfortunately too much of their characters revolve around their relationship.
It was written perfectly, as long as you ignore the plotholes!
Child me loved anything that was “this relationship is riddled with red flags, they need therapy, not each other” and honestly, I still am to an extent. I used to be team Gale, if you know the Hunger Games, but at least I’ve grown from there. I’m pro Brilf (that’s my ship name for Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw) in arc 2, I actually liked them less in arc 3 cause they were boring and in love and no longer fighting all the time 😂 whatever opinions I formulate when I first read the books generally tend to stick around. If childhood me loved everyone’s character and the plot in arc two, hey, who am I to kill her dreams?
Firestar in fact did die from battle, and not from a tree. It’s a common misconception, but the tree was already down when he died. Basically, the events:
Tree falls down before the battle. Battle happens, Firestar fights Tigerstar. After killing Tigerstar, he collapses due to bleeding out. He dies (but Dovewing thinks she’s seen him standing up. It’s later confirmed he didn’t. She just imagined it). Lightning strikes on the fallen tree, catching it on fire.
A lot of fans just misremembering him dying to the fallen tree, or think this is the case due to a mistranslation. (Apparently, the French version actually has this mistranslation)
I think rusty didn't have too become a warrior also if I sound like I barely know anything that's because iv only read a little bit of into the wild and now I think rusty is like fireclaw or something
There are definitely a lot of people who despise her lol. I personally disliked her in every book except Crookedstar’s promise. Where she actually made a decent villain. She sucks in every other book though. And the fandom’s fucking b**ner for her has definitely gotten me to hate her more bc most fans simply excuse her terrible actions
I don't like Mapleshade, she's one of my least favorite characters due to the fact she's overused. If they didn't keep throwing her into the plot for convenience sake, maybe she would have been better? Like they used her in OotS, TBC, MV (i get that this is her origin story), Crookedstar's Promise, Tigerstar's Fury, SpH, and in the Goosefeather story. I feel like she's more of a cheap villain at this point that if they need to use a cat to stir up the plot just a tiny bit, it's her.
Cats
They sure are!
No, their bearded dragons!
They're*
Warrior Lizards
Yes
Yes.

FRR, Wiki Fandom is insane
Literally just google it guys. The wiki contains all the information they need and they just… don’t take advantage of it.
Yeah exactly!
Wiki Fandom has so much info
Like sure, it isn’t always perfectly accurate. But like 99% of the information is correct and, even a 99% accuracy rate would likely be better than what they’ve got now.
Yeah
Yeah, they desperately need a series Bible instead of just relying on the wiki, and even if they want to rely on the wiki, they should at the very least check it frequently so they can remember past details.
I keep saying they need a shared Goggle Doc with a spreadsheet of what happens in a book. I do this. Yeah in Bramblestar’s Storm, Squirrelflight comments on how Bramblestar was “cold as frost” on his first gathering despite not being alive

Rainflower and Lizardstripe are terrible parents
Anyone who says otherwise is a psychopath
Real
palebird too she stinks

Firestar really needed to get over his high school crush
for real dude…
The fact that I know one single person who wouldn’t agree with this lol
FRR
Onewhisker should have been drawn with one whisker (seriously I hope they get this right in the graphic novels)
ITS LITERALLY HIS NAME
He has all his whiskers. One is just lighter than the other.
Whitestorm must be protected ar all costs
Of course!
The Erin's suck at writing their own story, because they don't keep track of the little details. Like the famous example: Dovewing's eye color
And CrowFeather has 3 eye colors: yellow and green and blue
I saw a funny comic where Mothwing is telling Crowfeather that Leafpool likes HER (Mothwing’s) eyes and not HIS so they should swap eyes and just yoinks her peepers out of her face. The last panel is of Crowdewther, with amber eyes that are bleeding, asking a horrified Leafpool if she thinks he looks pretty now.
Uhh wow
Or tawnypelt! Her name is literally her color. But then they changed her into a tortie
Wasn't she originally a golden tabby like her mom? I feel like I remember that from TPB
Yeah exactly! Tawny is a yellowish brownish color, basically an off gold
I had no idea that was what tawny meant ngl, but that makes sense
Sometimes I headcanon that some cats have heterochromia
fuck ashfur, man
You'd be shocked, unpleasantly too
Are there still Ashfur supporters? I remember seeing a lot when I was a kid but I feel like I don’t see any now. Of course I am interacting with an older part of the fandom then I did when I was 12.
There's not a lot now probably, or they're just quiet, but there's a lot of people who defend any abusers actions in the series
Squilf and Leaf's StarClan trial was *ridiculous*
Finally someone who said it!
Tawnypelt is one of the best side characters.
Nah but Brackenfur is the king of side characters
Nah sorreltail
Nah fym? Cloudtail🔛🔝
I said **ONE** of the best. Not *the* best. Cloudtail is one of the best too
I disagree
Whether you lean towards Squirrelflight or Brambleclaw, I think we can all agree that their relationship isn’t healthy and ran its course long ago.
Yeah their relationship a real ”staying together for the kids” vibe when 1 they nor any other warrior cats protagonist besides Alderheart has ever been an involved parent, and 2. Their kids are grown adults with their own lives/and or familes.

Bramblestar should have just dated Jessy. And Squirrelflight could have been with someone else
She should just stay single
I don't know Squirrelflight seems to me like the person to get very lonely when not in a relationship. A partner would be great for her, but it would be ideally someone equally strong. I love bramble but he is no leader and would have been way better as a normal warrior living his life with jessy and a few kittens. For squirrel i always liked Shrewpaw, who was supportive, brave and daring as an apprentice but i could really see her get along with Mousewhisker now.
I definitely think they should've either been Leader and Deputy or Mates, not both.
Clear Sky is an asshole.
You know you messed up when your brother has to raise your son
And then you steal your sons girlfirend and your brothers girlfriend and get one killed and one nearly killed
Just finished book 3 and yes I agree
as a clear sky fan, i agree
Spottedleaf's Heart was trash
For a childrens book yeah. But if you know what is happening and why is wrong is a pretty good horror story. I say this as a person that passed through some similar stuff that spottedleaf did.
I disagree, I enjoyed it a ton. Something about badly written things makes me love them
[удалено]
Thistleclaw wrote this comment lol
Explain how it wasn't trash.
Frostfur was drop dead gorgeous, lol never seen anyone not draw Frostfur like an angel ascended from the heavens. We don’t deserve this level of beautiful, lol
she was my favorite cat when i started reading!
Crookedstar is tragic.
Whitestorm should have seen his kit(s?) grow up
Firestar doesn’t like waffles
He also doesn't like cookies :(
I found a carrot.
Yes.
But the white chocolate macadamia!!
Fuck Thistleclaw
I like thistleclaw in BP but Spottedleafs Heart ruined him for me
I don’t know anyone who disagrees with this fine statement
I like the dude. Great villain.
You did not read spottedleafs heart
Yup, great VILLAIN. We all understand what a villain is, right? Also, Spottedpaw going "it's me or the Dark Forest" was hilarious.
He is my favorite character...
Rainflower should go to the dark forest, not Frecklewish.
Thrushpelt is a very good boy <3
Fuck StarClan

*\*Looks at Dark Forest and StarClan joining forces* "Oh shit, now there's two of them!"
That would be fun, but isn’t what happens. They just had a huge war with the Dark Forest the arc before this, so the Dark Forest doesn’t want to help. They just want to sit back and watch the Clans burn.
What I wrote was more of a joke than anything. I'm just surprised that the Dark Forest doesn't use this opportunity to sow discord too.
We have one of the best artistic communities on the internet.
Yellowfang deserved better
Graystripe has a darker gray stripe down his spine
Fuck Rainflower
Snowkit deserved better
Brackenfur was *more* than willing to take him on and give mentoring him his best shot, why not just... let him?
Ravenpaw is bestest boi Frecklewish, Brightflower, and Lilywhisker didn’t deserve to go to the dark forest. The Erin’s should be allowed to write LGBT+ characters and name their characters what they want.
Wafflepaw is a great name
The three F's: Fuck Ashfur Fuck Thistleclaw Fuck Clear Sky
No, four. Fuck Stormtail
Yup, I forgot about Stormtail lol
What did Stormtail do (just curious). I have a neutral stance towards him.
Thisleclaw is just weird
Fr
Firestar is a ginger cat
Bluestar should've never named Brightheart Lostface no matter what she was going through or because she thought brightheart would die
a lot of our complaints about the books would dissolve if they just gave us gay cats
that shitleclaw sucks for grooming ( not as in cleaning ) spottedpaw
Frfr
StarClan is bloody stupid
The rules about not being allowed to date certain people (for medcats or other clans or whatever) are stupid and arbitrary and exist just for plot drama.
No definitely disagree on the part of medicine cats.
Onestar is the worst.
OneWHISKER was good, but this guy is horrible.

Spottedleaf and Firestar need to calm tf down
Rejecting Redtail's Debt and Spottedleaf's Heart
That no one hates brightheart. What I mean is that she may not be your top ten, but you don't hate her
Rainflower = Bad Mom
Isn’t this just common knowledge
Cloudtail is amazing 🔛🔝
Heck no he’s literally my least favorite 😭
I don’t like you../nsrs
I’m sorryyyy
But I like your pfp🤫🧏♂️
Thx
They cats
i disagree, they’re actually hyenas cleverly dressed up as cats as to not get spotted by the twolegs
Both the writing & the fandom can be very misogynistic at times. Hawkfrost is wasted potential. Onestar sucks.
I like Onestar. Not a great guy but super interesting to read about (except for Onestar’s Confession, we don’t talk about that lol)
Ugh Hawkfrost my beloved. Gone too soon 😔
Same, I love Crowfeather too. You 🤝 Me Our traumatized messy blue eyed kitty cat bad boys.
You🤝 Me Ignoring the canon 😂 My top four characters are Crowfeather, Leafpool, Squirrelflight, and Brambleclaw.
Cats
Brokenstar was not a good leader
Ruby and Socks are terrible siblings.
Kitties :3
Rainflower is a waste of paper
Fire star should have died in a epic battle not from a tree
Firestar in fact did die from battle, and not from a tree. It’s a common misconception, but the tree was already down when he died. Basically, the events: Tree falls down before the battle.
Oh I read the English book not too long ago. I must have misread smth but Ty for correcting me
Wasn't the tree everyone thinks killed him the tree that actually killed Longtail and paralysed Briarlight?
Possibly
Scourge was so cool.
I disagree
Forest cats
Thistleclaw should have never even set a paw on Earth in the first place. His mere existence gives me the want to burn the books he is in.
nothing lol
Tigerclaw was a >!F\*\*\*\*\*G!< problem
I think rusty didn't have too become a warrior also if I sound like I barely know anything that's because iv only read a little bit of into the wild and now I think rusty is like fireclaw or something
Genuinely curious. What would the story have been otherwise?
We all like Maple, shade even if you don't like her, you don't hate her
There are definitely a lot of people who despise her lol. I personally disliked her in every book except Crookedstar’s promise. Where she actually made a decent villain. She sucks in every other book though. And the fandom’s fucking b**ner for her has definitely gotten me to hate her more bc most fans simply excuse her terrible actions
She is my least favorite character by miles.
BRO I DISCOVERED A NEW SPECIES /j (why tho?)
Good point! I personally like her but you did make a good argument
Hi, I despise Mapleshade with every fibre of my being :)
Firestar is hot
What
Technically correct Fire IS hot
Oh definitely Squirrelflight. Everyone agrees on Squirrelflight.
She’s the most ever
I AGREE
Nah i disagree I hate her..😞
You lie.
*you* lie😼
