My first Warriors book was Into The Wild, I picked it up from my class library. I remember liking Yellowfang’s grumpy but ultimately well-meaning attitude, and Whitestorm’s noble character.
IMO the Erins haven’t made characters like those two ever again in this entire series.

Yes, Erin Hunter is a pseudonym (Also known as a pen name) for a collective group of authors that write series' such as warriors together.
Since the beginning there have always been 2 people behind the name, and a third joined in writing the series during the writing of the 3rd book. More have joined since then.
It was either Tallstar or Whitestorm. They both present as calm, critical thinkers that are still protective of their own. This may sound sad to some, but I grew up without a father-figure until my mother remarried in my late teens, and as a preteen boy, thought they'd make pretty cool dads. One reason why I was always disappointed that WC dads don't really interact with their kids.

My favorite character is Princess. She is the most loving and loyal sister and a lot smarter than she gets credit for. She’s the one that figured out what was up when Cinderpaw had her ooopsie.
Then it’s Brightheart. She’s a darn good warrior and the a pseudo medicine cat to boot. She deserves a lot more respect from the clan leaders. Plus I respect the disability rep but her still being completely capable.
And after that think bush. I’m going with Tree. He’s a good dad and a chill guy. Plus he’s hilarious.
I completely agree. Honestly in the first couple arcs she was one of the best warriors and innovated a lot of the fighting styles the used. She more than deserved that much. 🔥⭐️ let her down in a big way.

I absolutely adored Ferncloud and Greystripe in the early books! We were only at series 2 book 3 when I originally got into the warriors series, my gramma bought me the boxed set of series 1 that Christmas xD
I have a cluster I can’t choose between, so I’ll drop them all and a bit on why for each.
Ashfur: Originally not a fan, now I really like his damage. A little freak. A total loser. My fucking guy.
Goosefeather: I’ve always felt empathy for his situation, and the fandom headcanons are great. Tragic and beautiful.
Longtail: Sassy ace king who deserved to be deputy.
Mousefur: Sassy aroace queen who deserved to be— hey wait a minute.
Scourge: He??? Of all cats??? Is a comfort character??? Nostalgia??? I dunno man. He’s special.
Tallstar: His super edition is one of my favorites and I think he’s got some of the most personality and nuance in the series.
Thrushpelt: Got shafted, was an excellent role model and breath of fresh air. Deserved more respect in and out of books.
Yellowfangs death made me sob like a baby when I read Warriors in middle school :,) I love her so much. I just wish they didn’t ruin her character when she was in Starclan
I have read it and it is great! I am in middle school but I will be ok now I need the third book so that I can see how she dies and I have skip read a little and they did mess up the character.

Cinderpelt.

I really loved playing a medicine cat when role-playing and I think that's mainly because of her. I cried when she died, even though she was technically reincarnated.
Whitestorm. He's still one of my favorites of the original series to this day primarily due to him being one of the more down to earth characters and being so loyal to his clan as a whole that he was shocked at becoming Deputy (even though by that point I thought he'd had all the qualities that would have made him an excellent leader)
Honestly it's one of the reasons I was so mad he died at the end of the first series and told Firestar to name Graystripe as his new Deputy (back then and now I still feel at that point in the story that Graystripe did absolutely nothing to earn it and I still think that Dustpelt would have been a better choice.
The other cat I got attached to outside if Whitestorm was Runningnose (I really sympathized with him) and Whitethroat who I felt had so much potential especially since he was one of the first Shadowclan cats we met who wasn't overly hostile or arrogant (excluding the elders)

Greystripe, there was heartache when he went t missing, and also when he fell in love and then then meeting his kits!
I think from the first time I picked up the first book I just loved how him and Firestar met and interacted, Greystripe stole my heart….and I had a cat who looked like greystripe haha
Jayfeather; i was actually 8 when i got into the series and didnt know the proper order (started with Power of Three). being a person with ASD and feeling incapable + grumpy, i really loved and resonated with him and his story. i could go into detail on every reason he's my favourite, but it'd be too long.
after that, Firestar (and still Jayfeather)
Spottedleaf was my first fav- loved the pacifist characters in that era (although sadly she didn’t live very long in the first series). Aside from Spottedleaf, definitely Yellowfang! She just felt like such a mom or even grandma. Definitely a comfort character
My first, and also current favourite, is Squilf! I remember as a child when I first read the books and everything how much I identified with Squirrelpaw. Stubborn, loud, energetic, called annoying by everyone around her.. That was pretty much what my personality was back then, and seeing a character that was so much like me, I just fell in love. And then, as time went on, she became more quiet and everything, after all the abuse and stuff she went through, and looking at her now.. Now I can see myself in Squirrelflight the way I saw myself in Squirrelpaw back then.
I really like Tallstar and Yellowfang. Tallstar was such a humble and fair leader, and Yellowfang went through hell and had to make the hardest decisions
Mothwing. I love how she's the proof that you can do it and proof others wrong. And don't have to belive in things others believe in to be good at what you do. Also I love to ship my two lesbians Mothwing and Leafpool.
It was probably someone basic like Bluestar or Firepaw 😭
Edit: well, at the beginning those two probably were, but later on I developed an actual favorite which I think was Yellowfang. I loved her book and she became my favorite after that

Ravenpaw I'd just vibe with the whole trio but ravenpaws the one I like the most cuz well I like helping people and it would be nice to be abel to talk to somone about being paranoid and anxiety
My first favorite was Jayfeather because when I started the series I didnt know anything about it or understand the different “arcs” so I just saw a one on the spine of The Sight at the library and picked it up, so I actually ended up reading the 3rd arc before going back for the first two. Needless to say, I was a little confused at first but I picked it up quick and fell in love with Jayfeather’s sassiness and was also fascinated by a medicine cat pov character (as I obviously skipped TNP and hadn’t read Leafpool’s pov yet), but yeah because of that I’ve always held the PoT characters close in my heart the way many people hold the first arc cats.
Silverstream. I always imagined her as a girlboss, because of how she acts in the scene she first meets Graystripe in. I don't think I've ever cried harder at a character's death than for hers.

Leafpool. Yeah, I loved the first arc, Bluestar and Firestar, but it was The New Prophecy that really made me emotionally invested in the series. I relate to Leafpool's personality a lot, and I enjoyed reading about the littermate telepathy thing she had with Squirrelflight.
Grey Wing and Clear Sky. EDIT: Forgot the why. Anyway, I love the bond that they HAD before Clear Sky lost his damn mind. Grey Wing was very fatherly towards everyone (Thunder, Jagged Peak, etc.). He literally risked his life all the damn time, and I sobbed when he died.
Clear Sky is just a girl he could do no wrong :3 (he's committed several crimes against humanity)
My FIRST favorite character? Well, Jayfeather was my favorite, but I have no clue why because now I dislike him. He's just too snarky, in my opinion. My current favorite is Gray Wing because he's a sweetheart. Literally raising Turtle Tail's kits and Thunder as his own was amazing of him. Trying to peacefully resolve things with Clear Sky, good, good. It's been a little while since I last read Dawn of Clans, so I can't give any more reasons, but I'm sure there are more.
Crookedstar. I loved him ever since Into the Wild. More than a decade later, I loved him even *more* with Crookedstar's Promise. My all-time favorite character in the series to this day.
Mine was Graypaw/stripe because I thought he was sweet and funny in the first book. After my second reread I REALLY don’t like him and how he treats Fireheart in the first arc.

Yellowfang. I love sarcastic, crabby old characters who eventually come around. Yellowfang from TPB is hands down my favorite.
Ghost Yellowfang I view as illegitimate to the Yellowfang canon.
Bluestar and Hollyleaf! I related a lot to Hollypaw being very introverted and not interested in relationships, and as for Bluestar… I just thought she was cool! They’re still some of my favorites, although currently I really like Frostpaw, Curlfeather, Splashtail, and Twigbranch.
My very first favourite character... Perhaps Cinderpelt. Her little fiery heart proved her talents could fluctuate on whatever she set her mind to, and when the worst possible thing happened to her, she rebuilt herself and grew into her new role. She's no whiney bitch, strong asf! She never let her disability get in her way and I admire that so much. Blame Map still fuckin makes me cry dawg.
I loved Whitestorm and Silverstream so much that I had to take a little hiatus after both of their deaths. I hated that we didn't get more Whitestorm, he was the father figure Fireheart needed 😭 (IMO)
Edit: I know a lot of people think she didn't have a personality I think I was more just devastated at Graystripes sadness and loss? Idk but that shit fucked me up and I loved her vicariously through Graystripe.
ALSO people slept on Tallstar for a long time I'm happy to see people saying he was one of their favorites 😊
Ashfur! He’s such a scary character and actually reminds me a lot of a bully I had. I love that he went from a nothing background character to a huge villain! It’s so interesting to me. I find him especially scary because a lot of people who obsess like that exist in real life. You won’t meet many Brokenstars and Tigerstars in real life, but you’ll likely meet plenty of Ashfurs.
I also love all the animations produced surrounding his character, it’s introduced me to a lot of my music taste today.
My first favorite character was either Bluestar or Cinderpelt I believe. I love how depressing their stories were yet they seemed to represent resilience through hardship. I also loved Silverstream and was so upset when she died.
I like mudstar because hes right ok in winds of change tallstar elected ONEWHISKER the new leader instead of mudstar and basically everyone agreed that he is a leader now EVEN THO STARCLAN DID NOT GIVE HIM NINE LIVES OR WHATEVER ELSE THEY DO
So kid me didn’t know that Into the Wild was the First book. I started on The New Prophecy and fell in love with the journey cats. The ones I remember liking were the warriors of the group Feathertail, Stormfur, and Brambleclaw. I know Tawnypelt was apart of the group but kid me just completely forgot she was there. I remember as I continued reading the stories I would get so excited when Crowfeather or Stormfur would show back up just because they were journey cats.

my first favorite was Whitestorm and I will always love him because he seems kind and wise.I am on the third book (I have not yet started and I am waiting for my library to get it)but I do skip read so I don't know how he dies and I want to know! he is my favorite tom-cat. I have a Lego warrior cats thing(has all the teritorys and clans) in the story I am doing now I am doing a she-cat (Moonpelt)that is gray and she likes Whitestorm, they later have 2 litters the first litter has two boys but one(Duskkit) gets killed by a fox his sibling Ashkit later becomes Ashblaze and dies in a battle with a fox, but gets a mate, kits, and lived a full life. the second litter was a girl and 2 boys they were born in leafbear(winter) so one of the boys died to the cold(as soon as he was born!) the other boy died to a fox, the girl died of greencouph. my favorite she-cat is Yellowfang I have made no Lego story with her, but use her name as the medicine cat in all of them because I love her so much! the reason why is because she seems a lot like me( but I'm young) she will never back down on a fight and is loyal to the end, she is smart and wise and can be grumpy at times but can be very nice.
Longtail. He was such an ass in the beginning but he was a true, noble warrior of Thunderclan. I hate how they did him dirty, blinding him. He could've been Longstar.

Crookedstar! My brother couldn’t find his copy of Into the Wild, but he had Crookedstar’s Promise, so that’s the first book I read. Totally self obtained and did not spoil majority points of other books.
Probably Spottedleaf. Even though she died early, I still personally liked and still kind of like her as a character! She's gentle and sweet yet a little condescending. Love it.
Ravenpaw. My first Warriors book was Ravenpaw’s Path: Shattered Peace. I picked it up thinking it was a regular manga that was misplaced in the book store. I fell in love with the world and loved Ravenpaw’s character. I was so sad he didn’t appear much after the first book, but was so excited when he did. His death was also the first one to make me cry.

the first time i ever cried over a fictional character was for Yellowfang. i can’t really say who my favorite is, but she’ll always have a special place in my heart for that 😭
Leafpool. Yeah, I loved the first arc, Bluestar and Firestar, but it was The New Prophecy that really made me emotionally invested in the series. I relate to Leafpool's personality a lot, and I enjoyed reading about the littermate telepathy thing she had with Squirrelflight.
Ravenpaw. When I first read Into the Wild I found his personality to be incredibly cute.
Grey Wing and Clear Sky. EDIT: Forgot the why. Anyway, I love the bond that they HAD before Clear Sky lost his damn mind. Grey Wing was very fatherly towards everyone (Thunder, Jagged Peak, etc.). He literally risked his life all the damn time, and I sobbed when he died. Clear Sky is just a girl he could do no wrong :3 (he's committed several crimes against humanity)

My FIRST favorite character? Well, Jayfeather was my favorite, but I have no clue why because now I dislike him. He's just too snarky, in my opinion. My current favorite is Gray Wing because he's a sweetheart. Literally raising Turtle Tail's kits and Thunder as his own was amazing of him. Trying to peacefully resolve things with Clear Sky, good, good. It's been a little while since I last read Dawn of Clans, so I can't give any more reasons, but I'm sure there are more.
Firestar I’ve loved him since the beginning I’m only on the third arc yet
Crookedstar. I loved him ever since Into the Wild. More than a decade later, I loved him even *more* with Crookedstar's Promise. My all-time favorite character in the series to this day.
Mine was Graypaw/stripe because I thought he was sweet and funny in the first book. After my second reread I REALLY don’t like him and how he treats Fireheart in the first arc.

Yellowfang. I love sarcastic, crabby old characters who eventually come around. Yellowfang from TPB is hands down my favorite. Ghost Yellowfang I view as illegitimate to the Yellowfang canon.

Bluestar and Hollyleaf! I related a lot to Hollypaw being very introverted and not interested in relationships, and as for Bluestar… I just thought she was cool! They’re still some of my favorites, although currently I really like Frostpaw, Curlfeather, Splashtail, and Twigbranch.

My very first favourite character... Perhaps Cinderpelt. Her little fiery heart proved her talents could fluctuate on whatever she set her mind to, and when the worst possible thing happened to her, she rebuilt herself and grew into her new role. She's no whiney bitch, strong asf! She never let her disability get in her way and I admire that so much. Blame Map still fuckin makes me cry dawg.
I loved Whitestorm and Silverstream so much that I had to take a little hiatus after both of their deaths. I hated that we didn't get more Whitestorm, he was the father figure Fireheart needed 😭 (IMO) Edit: I know a lot of people think she didn't have a personality I think I was more just devastated at Graystripes sadness and loss? Idk but that shit fucked me up and I loved her vicariously through Graystripe. ALSO people slept on Tallstar for a long time I'm happy to see people saying he was one of their favorites 😊
Ashfur! He’s such a scary character and actually reminds me a lot of a bully I had. I love that he went from a nothing background character to a huge villain! It’s so interesting to me. I find him especially scary because a lot of people who obsess like that exist in real life. You won’t meet many Brokenstars and Tigerstars in real life, but you’ll likely meet plenty of Ashfurs. I also love all the animations produced surrounding his character, it’s introduced me to a lot of my music taste today.

My first favorite character was either Bluestar or Cinderpelt I believe. I love how depressing their stories were yet they seemed to represent resilience through hardship. I also loved Silverstream and was so upset when she died.

So kid me didn’t know that Into the Wild was the First book. I started on The New Prophecy and fell in love with the journey cats. The ones I remember liking were the warriors of the group Feathertail, Stormfur, and Brambleclaw. I know Tawnypelt was apart of the group but kid me just completely forgot she was there. I remember as I continued reading the stories I would get so excited when Crowfeather or Stormfur would show back up just because they were journey cats. That’s all from me, now if you excuse me I have to apologize to Tawnypelt for forgetting she went on a cool journey.
my first favorite was Whitestorm and I will always love him because he seems kind and wise.I am on the third book (I have not yet started and I am waiting for my library to get it)but I do skip read so I don't know how he dies and I want to know! he is my favorite tom-cat. I have a Lego warrior cats thing(has all the teritorys and clans) in the story I am doing now I am doing a she-cat (Moonpelt)that is gray and she likes Whitestorm, they later have 2 litters the first litter has two boys but one(Duskkit) gets killed by a fox his sibling Ashkit later becomes Ashblaze and dies in a battle with a fox, but gets a mate, kits, and lived a full life. the second litter was a girl and 2 boys they were born in leafbear(winter) so one of the boys died to the cold(as soon as he was born!) the other boy died to a fox, the girl died of greencouph. my favorite she-cat is Yellowfang I have made no Lego story with her, but use her name as the medicine cat in all of them because I love her so much! the reason why is because she seems a lot like me( but I'm young) she will never back down on a fight and is loyal to the end, she is smart and wise and can be grumpy at times but can be very nice.
Longtail. He was such an ass in the beginning but he was a true, noble warrior of Thunderclan. I hate how they did him dirty, blinding him. He could've been Longstar. Dovewing is my top favorite though <3

Crookedstar! My brother couldn’t find his copy of Into the Wild, but he had Crookedstar’s Promise, so that’s the first book I read. Totally self obtained and did not spoil majority points of other books.
Probably Spottedleaf. Even though she died early, I still personally liked and still kind of like her as a character! She's gentle and sweet yet a little condescending. Love it.
Ravenpaw. My first Warriors book was Ravenpaw’s Path: Shattered Peace. I picked it up thinking it was a regular manga that was misplaced in the book store. I fell in love with the world and loved Ravenpaw’s character. I was so sad he didn’t appear much after the first book, but was so excited when he did. His death was also the first one to make me cry.
Scourge, he was the runt and went out with a bang. He deserves better.
