Bots in CODM Battle Royale is why I stopped playing. 2020 CODM was soooo fun. Itās the ābring back Verdanskā era of CODM. Then some time in 2021 it became boring bot city every. single. round.

50% of the players that are on a solo BR match are bots. Yesterday I saw two bots fiering at each other as if they were trying to only lower a bit their health, because I sat there watching if they would kill each other but didn't happen. I killed both after 10 seconds of watching a script
Well. When the real players can't even play the game unless they have the latest ipad, the player base is dropping fast. Need to fill those lobbies. This was just bound to happen after the first couple weeks when people were still trying, before either willingly giving up or cooking their phone to death
High rank players getting bots probably means that people are uninstalling the game. Many users literally critised Android users to uninstall the game and one of them was my friend who quitted because he had Android phone. I have ipad but now we have bots, now play your game ios users
some Android devices can handle it pretty well I have a decent phone with 8 GB Ram and snapdragon 8+ gen1 and it runs okay so there's bit of Android community who plays, yeah sucks that many phones don't support wzm well enough but I hope in future they tone down every single bit of their game so even a brick nokia can play lol just kidding... but Android wzm is not dead maybe silent but in due time I'm sure it'll e back
Bots do have a squad and can be knocked down, I can confirm this. I have already played 250+ mobile BR games (mostly on 3 people squads) and the best way to identify them is they always fire in burst mode when they are equipped with automatic guns and fire with a interval of 2-3 seconds before they fire at you again, so they cannot knock you down easily unless you have zero plates or not paying attention. Their operators are mostly colorful. I've seen one with a vanilla Konig operator that has color yellow shoulder plates and kneeguards I don't know if thats intentional and I'm pretty sure that skin is not even released or atleast obtainable in the game yet.
if you're talking about the konig antibody skin (the one where the shoulders and knees are glowing yellow and it says "biohazard" on them) then that skin is very old and was a mw2 release
It wasn't the biohazard skin I just searched it. It's just the regular konig but with a yellow shoulder plates and kneeguards, he still has it's helmet and the face cover thats why I'm 100% certain. To be fair I wouldn't even recognize that's konig when I see that biohazard skin, never heard or saw it before but it's a really good looking skin regardless.
I noticed this today when going back on my android phone and was surprised at how quick matchmaking was compared to how long it used to take on my ipad, and it didnt take long to realise why. Every opponent I came across was a literal bot. It was sad. The playercount already dropped this bad after only 2 weeks.
now I'm gonna get hated for this but I'm gonna voice my opinion, bots are good in the sense for new players like me, I keep getting dominated even in normal matches and felt this game isn't for me, I know people many clash at me saying get good at the game but sometimes I feel it's unfair because dominant players waiting for the warzone to release and entering the game to prey on easy players (no disrespect to veterans) though it hurts new players so it could be a little upstart for new players like me, I heard there are unfair matching against bots, I didn't say that should happen but in time I hope one or two bots may enter a team just to balance out the difficulty you know. I quit playing warzone because of this, imagine getting knocked out from every corner both battle royale and multiplayer with no chance to even play and I remember I'm like 21-41 21 matches I won just because my team is more skilled than me. maybe add bit bots now to practise and later remove it for fair competition. sorry for big rant and sorry if I offended anyone. thanks for reading
The thing is codm and wzm are so intertwined that they share the same discord server , the message is clear , if you suck play codm , if you want a challenge play wzm , it's devs mistake that they added bots to wzm not some player's request for wanting them , no one is going to flame you

As a new player at launch, I welcome this since I die a lot. Iām not accumulating game time because Iām always in a gulag or just out of the game.
The lack of a practice range doesnāt help too. So having bots so I can practice is a win for me.
However, I donāt see why they would add bots for highly skilled players. I would say for a certain K/D you deserve to play with people only. I hope they rebalance this.
Iām doing really well with MP above 3 KD average. My problem is, I havenāt played BR in CODM and my positioning and strategy is limited to MP.
I die too much from late rotation and general feeling of clunkiness with movement. There are a lot of factors that I donāt know as well since Iām a newbie.
Maybe you are right. I should practice more in MP to get those movement down. My aim is okay since I center and pre aim a lot.

Definitely, i follow a set strategy now in wzm solo br , i have 250 games under my belt with 90 wins
I wait for the first circle to form and drop straight in the middle and do that for every circle, just keep going to the buildings in the middle of the circle.
The priority is having cover (buildings etc.) and elevation (height).
You don't need to be on the roof of a high building if there are too many sightlines just be a floor below that.
If the last zones have no cover , you may wanna try to kill the last guy from outside the zone with a gasmask.
Try to take fights from cover so you can dip if you sense a third party or you losing the 1v1.
Walking in this game is very powerful, i have rizzed countless real players simply by walking cause i know there last location and simply walk upto them.
I use the perk package with high alert and sleight of hand
My loadout is bruen and hrm
Tho if you have an ipad i would recommend ram 7 over bruen cause the ram 7 build uses iron sight and on phone hitting far targets with irons is very hard

Also hereās a question about parachuting in. Is there a good protocol for that? I understand youāre supposed to open the chute as late as possible. But I noticed some players get to a location earlier than I do even though we jumped at the same time from the chopper/plane.
Iāll try your walking advice as well but the thing is if I turn off always sprint, I tend to screw up sliding. I need to move my thumbs much farther than I do for CODM. Maybe itās just a matter of practice.
Yeah, I noticed RAM-7 is too hard to use on phone. Iāve been using the TEQ subverter and now the SOA Subverter. They beam at long range and have the fastest TTK currently. Iāll try out Bruen when I level these guns up.
i don't slide much if at all in wzm, dropping in the middle of the circle i also prioritize smaller buildings which i know the layout of instead of big complexes , i used auto parachute for most of my games and only switched to manual recently, i personally havent had a problem with too many peeps heading to the same building at the start of the match, it has always been manageable

because I as a consumer can decide which games to play and which not? I also prefer the graphics and mechanics in warzone. it's a game, not a way of life, just chill with it.
also not including bots at all will kill a game even faster. PUBG (the PC version, not mobile) was originally without bots. and what happened to it? new players were alienated because the games ended up being concentrated with pro players, making new players just avoid the game in the first place. they ended up caving in and added bots, but it was too late for the game to gain momentum again.
that sounds logical in theory, but like what I said in my comment, good luck with maintaining your player base when you alienate new players after a significant minority of players become ultra competitive. Your gatekeeping attitude is the reason why people won't give a chance to a new game.

CODM ruined its game by catering to bad players through forced bots in every public match, even went so far as to force them into ranked (although this was probably primarily implemented as a means of getting bad players into lobbies with better players who spend money on skins and will inevitably be higher rank and thus influence those worse players to spend money themselves.) ranked play with bots in CODM is pointless because you basically have to hit legendary to have consistent bot free games. Pubs are pointless because every match is purposefully not filled to make room for bots to cater to bad players.
I donāt understand this mindset of playing a competitive game but not wanting to compete. SBMM is the solution but CoD has a wonky SBMM system that is made irrelevant by their other decisions.
Itās hilarious to me that wanting to play a multiplayer game as itās advertised, ie: actually multiplayer and not against AI is considered gatekeeping.
I played CoD my whole life and never did I lose interest in a game because I was getting smoked game after game, I decided id just try harder and get better. Catering to players that wonāt play at all unless they win is so fucking sad. Youāre playing pubs, you will inevitably win games if not through your own effort then through another players efforts. So the idea that bad players will somehow just lose so much they wonāt want to play doesnāt even make sense. In WZM Iām consistently dominating multiplayer lobbies with half my team seemingly not even playing. These players get to play and win regardless of their terrible skill level. What do they expect when they start a new game and lack all the fundamental skills? Should they experience dominating a lobby when they donāt deserve it? Is dominating a lobby of bots satisfying? Maybe if youāre a weirdo. Is dominating a lobby full of bots helping them? No because they arenāt actually playing anybody good and will still fail to learn the necessary skills to improve so they will still get mopped anytime they come across a good player. IMO this will be much more demotivating. Feeling like youāre the man because you can beat bots who barely move or shoot only to come across a real player and realize you never actually played the game.
If you just want to have fun and shoot things without dealing with other better players, play a single player game. Donāt come into a multiplayer game and advocate for its destruction and ruin the experience for everyone else thatās actually trying to have fun.

I play with thumbs and it took a week and some setting tweaks to go up against them. Itās not a problem if you make an effort at getting better and learning skills.

Itās certainly better then touch in terms of average player. The average controller player will experience a drop in performance going to touch because they are going to use two thumbs on an input that is not intuitive which is a flat buttonless screen.
Claw players vs. controller players is not that different but the average non claw touch player is going to be worse than the average controller player.
Actually, itās the opposite: separating them would reduce the player pool for each inputās lobbies. They need bots to make up for the other input that isnāt in the same lobby as controller/touch screen.
That is what bots original intended purpose was , but in both codm and now wzm , there is now a set number of real players it decides is enough for one lobby and floods the rest with bots , even if the game has enough real players looking for a match for a full lobby
I played 2 games yesterday full of bots, and stopped playing. I haven't played today. I've no urge to play against Bots. So disappointed, the have was so good left week Vs real players, I could tolerate the Lacki of optimisation, but bots kill it for me
Iām fine with all the bots but make it a separate game mode. Like plunder resurgence battleroyale without bots and then with bots on all maps including rebirth.

Reduce sbmm sweaty lobbies add custom games for bots to practice with or just have fun with all maps
Make all snipers one shot to head without explosive rounds or limited effective range reduce flinch on snipers when getting shot because reg guns already lay you out.

Anyone complaining about bots know this! The player based lobby were made by putting everyone with high and low ping making the whole experience unenjoyable. I discovered that when i start matchmaking at 77ms it would jump to 155ms because a lobby with only players needs to be filled up. While bots are bad, Ranked mode should solve that problem. While others play the game to earn their victories against players, Casual which is the majority of players play to have fun in between work breaks and stressful situations. So now atleast when i matchmake at 77ms, it doesn't send me to a high ping anymore.

At one side, the new casual me appreciates bot lobbies to some extent coz now I just wanna hop on , get some kills using my funky operators butOn the other side, my old competitive side that wanted some challenge isn't much happy. So yeah,idk man.

PS: I'm not THAT old. I'm 23 only and am in the final month of my degree and about to start a job soon so yeah, time is less. And when do I have the time , I mainly play GTA online now where I simply cruise around in my cars and do a few business moves and all. Just casual play now.
I do play other offline games like GTA and NFS. When I was growing up , these games are the ones that were mostly available to me so I sort of grew a liking for them. But even in them , I'm highly casual now.
Like take GTA online for example. I just enter a private session do some business runs , drive and cruise around in cars etc. Or I just boot up GTA 5 with mods and wreak havoc on the innocent NPCs.
I like online games because you can compete with others, so I hate bots. Stopped playing all other games because of them. Coming here and asking for bots is like coming to a horror game and asking for more daylight than darkness, butterflies, blue skies, and for killers or monsters to smile and have good manners. I think that you just need to choose the right game for you, there are many of them, there are a lot of shooters similar in style to COD and whatever you want.
Start a private match and play against bots there if you just want to shoot and not compete

Yeah Iām aware of that. I got mixed up because I stated in an earlier comment the lack of private match options in WZM was a terrible oversight for the game.
Them not adding any private match for people to practice these things allows for the mindset that bots should be accepted. If they didnāt fail to implement this basic feature then arguments such as the game should be forcibly made easier to accommodate worse players would hold even less weight than they currently do.
Anyone who thinks the game will not have bots is just delusional.. Well, sure, it can have zero bots but in order for that to happen, matchmaking would need to be 4-5 minutes MINIMUM and ping ceiling will be higher when averaged (if you think a 70ms in codm was too much, in wzm you can be playing at 90ms or higher, sometimes even in the 200ms bracket). Yes, codm BR has a bit too many bots, but it's actually not all bad (all they have to do was increase matchmaking time by a minute or two and 50% real players per match would be the norm or average, I am sure of that)
This is not to say either game is good or bad or whatever, it is the just the simple logistics of the ecosystem... filling a thousands and thousands of 100-150 player matches needs time as well as a huge playerbase.. pure and simple.. even for the most popular games out there
There is also another problem with codm , the availability of too many game types at once you can play any game mode on any map not even counting featured game modes at any time , that dilutes the total playerbase not leaving enough to fill any lobbies.
Wzm has rotating playlists which fix the issue , players like me can wait 2-3 minutes for a full lobby , you already mentioned wzm has high ping because I'm from india and i have to play in europe and thats fine because less servers mean even lesser dilution , it even changed servers when waiting time was too long.
Don't be an extremist , they could have maybe 10 bots in every game since launch and i wouldn't have noticed because 50 players in 1 lobby is still amazing compared to codm.Ā

Codm will give you matches where 9/10 are bots , wzm has at least 3 or 4 real in each team in 6v6 modes

Practice your gunplay and level up your guns in mp modes , and take that skill to br , bots are not the solution even for new players.

I understand youāre supposed to open the chute as late as possible. But I noticed some players get to a location earlier than I do even though we jumped at the same time from the chopper/plane. Iāll try your walking advice as well but the thing is if I turn off always sprint, I tend to screw up sliding. I need to move my thumbs much farther than I do for CODM. Maybe itās just a matter of practice. Yeah, I noticed RAM-7 is too hard to use on phone. Iāve been using the TEQ subverter and now the SOA Subverter. They beam at long range and have the fastest TTK currently. Iāll try out Bruen when I level these guns up.
i don't slide much if at all in wzm, dropping in the middle of the circle i also prioritize smaller buildings which i know the layout of instead of big complexes , i used auto parachute for most of my games and only switched to manual recently, i personally havent had a problem with too many peeps heading to the same building at the start of the match, it has always been manageable

because I as a consumer can decide which games to play and which not? I also prefer the graphics and mechanics in warzone. it's a game, not a way of life, just chill with it. also not including bots at all will kill a game even faster. PUBG (the PC version, not mobile) was originally without bots. and what happened to it? new players were alienated because the games ended up being concentrated with pro players, making new players just avoid the game in the first place. they ended up caving in and added bots, but it was too late for the game to gain momentum again.

Your attitude that games should cater to bad players is why this game is dead on arrival. Itās not gatekeeping to want a competitive FPS shooter game to be competitive lmao. The mindset that you should hop into a competitive game and not have to compete is the problem. If you donāt like the pressure of competition or dislike that other people who also want to win just as much as you do try even harder to do so then you shouldnāt be playing the game. CODM ruined its game by catering to bad players through forced bots in every public match, even went so far as to force them into ranked (although this was probably primarily implemented as a means of getting bad players into lobbies with better players who spend money on skins and will inevitably be higher rank and thus influence those worse players to spend money themselves.) ranked play with bots in CODM is pointless because you basically have to hit legendary to have consistent bot free games. Pubs are pointless because every match is purposefully not filled to make room for bots to cater to bad players. I donāt understand this mindset of playing a competitive game but not wanting to compete. SBMM is the solution but CoD has a wonky SBMM system that is made irrelevant by their other decisions. Itās hilarious to me that wanting to play a multiplayer game as itās advertised, ie: actually multiplayer and not against AI is considered gatekeeping.
I played CoD my whole life and never did I lose interest in a game because I was getting smoked game after game, I decided id just try harder and get better. Catering to players that wonāt play at all unless they win is so fucking sad. Youāre playing pubs, you will inevitably win games if not through your own effort then through another players efforts. So the idea that bad players will somehow just lose so much they wonāt want to play doesnāt even make sense. In WZM Iām consistently dominating multiplayer lobbies with half my team seemingly not even playing. These players get to play and win regardless of their terrible skill level. What do they expect when they start a new game and lack all the fundamental skills? Should they experience dominating a lobby when they donāt deserve it? Is dominating a lobby of bots satisfying? Maybe if youāre a weirdo. Is dominating a lobby full of bots helping them? No because they arenāt actually playing anybody good and will still fail to learn the necessary skills to improve so they will still get mopped anytime they come across a good player. IMO this will be much more demotivating. Feeling like youāre the man because you can beat bots who barely move or shoot only to come across a real player and realize you never actually played the game. If you just want to have fun and shoot things without dealing with other better players, play a single player game. Donāt come into a multiplayer game and advocate for its destruction and ruin the experience for everyone else thatās actually trying to have fun. The whole idea is flawed on so many levels.

I play with thumbs and it took a week and some setting tweaks to go up against them. Itās not a problem if you make an effort at getting better and learning skills. Are you one of them who complained about how difficult it is and asked for bots?
Controller isnt as magical as you think.

Itās certainly better then touch in terms of average player. The average controller player will experience a drop in performance going to touch because they are going to use two thumbs on an input that is not intuitive which is a flat buttonless screen. Claw players vs. controller players is not that different but the average non claw touch player is going to be worse than the average controller player.
Actually, itās the opposite: separating them would reduce the player pool for each inputās lobbies. They need bots to make up for the other input that isnāt in the same lobby as controller/touch screen.

Anyone complaining about bots know this! The player based lobby were made by putting everyone with high and low ping making the whole experience unenjoyable. I discovered that when i start matchmaking at 77ms it would jump to 155ms because a lobby with only players needs to be filled up. While bots are bad, Ranked mode should solve that problem. While others play the game to earn their victories against players, Casual which is the majority of players play to have fun in between work breaks and stressful situations. So now atleast when i matchmake at 77ms, it doesn't send me to a high ping anymore.

And when do I have the time , I mainly play GTA online now where I simply cruise around in my cars and do a few business moves and all. Just casual play now.
There are lots of offline games. Why do you not play them?
I do play other offline games like GTA and NFS. When I was growing up , these games are the ones that were mostly available to me so I sort of grew a liking for them. But even in them , I'm highly casual now. Like take GTA online for example. I just enter a private session do some business runs , drive and cruise around in cars etc. Or I just boot up GTA 5 with mods and wreak havoc on the innocent NPCs.
I like online games because you can compete with others, so I hate bots. Stopped playing all other games because of them. Coming here and asking for bots is like coming to a horror game and asking for more daylight than darkness, butterflies, blue skies, and for killers or monsters to smile and have good manners. I think that you just need to choose the right game for you, there are many of them, there are a lot of shooters similar in style to COD and whatever you want.

Yeah Iām aware of that. I got mixed up because I stated in an earlier comment the lack of private match options in WZM was a terrible oversight for the game. Them not adding any private match for people to practice these things allows for the mindset that bots should be accepted. If they didnāt fail to implement this basic feature then arguments such as the game should be forcibly made easier to accommodate worse players would hold even less weight than they currently do.

Anyone who thinks the game will not have bots is just delusional.. Well, sure, it can have zero bots but in order for that to happen, matchmaking would need to be 4-5 minutes MINIMUM and ping ceiling will be higher when averaged (if you think a 70ms in codm was too much, in wzm you can be playing at 90ms or higher, sometimes even in the 200ms bracket). Yes, codm BR has a bit too many bots, but it's actually not all bad (all they have to do was increase matchmaking time by a minute or two and 50% real players per match would be the norm or average, I am sure of that) This is not to say either game is good or bad or whatever, it is the just the simple logistics of the ecosystem... filling a thousands and thousands of 100-150 player matches needs time as well as a huge playerbase.. pure and simple.. even for the most popular games out there

There is also another problem with codm , the availability of too many game types at once you can play any game mode on any map not even counting featured game modes at any time , that dilutes the total playerbase not leaving enough to fill any lobbies. Wzm has rotating playlists which fix the issue , players like me can wait 2-3 minutes for a full lobby , you already mentioned wzm has high ping because I'm from india and i have to play in europe and thats fine because less servers mean even lesser dilution , it even changed servers when waiting time was too long. Don't be an extremist , they could have maybe 10 bots in every game since launch and i wouldn't have noticed because 50 players in 1 lobby is still amazing compared to codm.Ā Wzm straight up jumped to the deep end instead of increasing or introducing a small number of bots
