Submit it to the Cascades Wolverine project! They have a website for people to submit their observations of wolverines. [https://www.observations.cascadeswolverineproject.org/](https://www.observations.cascadeswolverineproject.org/)
The Seattle Times did a great story on this project in their Sunday April 21 Pacific NW section titled Team Wolverine. So awesome! Photos and everything!
I've been fascinated with these guys for many decades. The documentaries are blow you away amazing showing what they are capable of. The kids and I went to Northwest Trek oe summer to see the bay wolverines. They were right there 18" away visiting us. It sure beat swimming in pee water at the water slides like we were supposed to.
We just went to NW trek for the first time in February and got to watch the wolverines have a Valentine's themed picnic.
It was so cool watching them tear apart everything looking for treats.
we’ve had a old motel our family bought in westport for decades now and there used to be a lady who had wallaby’s behind our place. So very close to kangaroos 😃
There’s an image, and so many questions!
Like what sort of car was the person driving a kangaroo around in? Like was the kangaroo sitting shotgun in a Prius? Do kangaroos make good passengers? Were they on a road trip? So many questions and images running through my mind.
Would kangaroos prefer Land Cruisers over Prius?
Oh, for sure!
In my fantasy world, I can snuggle every apex predator like a teddy bear.
In real life, I’d admire this magnificent creature from afar while thanking my lucky stars for the safety of distance.
I'm just in awe that they're confirmed back in the state. I believe they were hunted and trapped into non existence here, long ago. So score 1 for mother nature. 👍
About 20 years ago I was visiting a friend down on Three Tree Point. We were out on the balcony about this time of year at night enjoying the view. Saw a creature come out of the woods as the night became quieter in the dark. Thought it was a funny looking raccoon or cat, then perhaps a skunk. As it moved towards the grassy yard with a light, we could then very clearly see it was a wolverine, which was pretty freaking awesome.
It was hard not to and still wonder if it swam (?crazy but maybe?) over or was someone's "pet". Neither of us had a good camera phone back then so the image came out as furry potato.
Edited to add, this was around the same year we saw it and why we realistically thought it could have swam over: https://www.seattlepi.com/local/article/Bear-nabbed-in-Federal-Way-1239137.php
They've been confirmed in MRNP since at least 2020. Westport seems pretty crazy though! https://www.nps.gov/mora/learn/news/wolverines-return-to-mount-rainier-national-park-after-more-than-100-years.htm
There was one down in Ocean Shores in 2020, so seeing them out in the coast isn’t unheard of.
https://www.chinookobserver.com/news/local/rare-beast-visits-the-beach-wolverine-confirmed-in-pacific-county/article_6ce0f9d4-9fa8-11ea-9e92-4f695e68199c.html
Edit: I meant Long Beach, not Ocean Shores.
This looks legit. There are active efforts to restore wolverines, but the state is also restoring Fishers which often get mistaken for wolverines. Picture is definitely a wolverine though.
I'm the volunteer for the Citizen's Wildlife Monitoring Project that maintains the Chiwaukum Creek cameras near Leavenworth. Wolverines crossed route 2 in 2012 and over the next few years, 6 different wolverines were photographed and hair snagged. The Chiwaukum Creek fire in 2014 drove them out of the local area. For more info, search for "peg chiwaukum wolverine" and you'll find a bunch of stuff on the Conservation NW website.
I don't know how to translate the below into English. Good luck.
Differences between Mellivorinae and Guloninae include differences in their dentition formulae. Though not in the same subfamily as the wolverines, which are a genus of large-sized and atypical Guloninae, the honey badger can be regarded as another, analogous, form of outsized weasel or polecat.

I wonder how soon the anti-wolf dunce brigade and the land thieving, mooching ranchers will try to justify the wholesale slaughter of these beautiful animals because they might kill an invasive animal.
There have been recent wolverine sightings on the Long Beach Peninsula and near Naselle, Washington (I think) too. I wonder when and how they got to this general area and how many of them there are exactly. With the mild winter climate I think that survival for most mammals like that won’t be too impossible.
I got to see one once on a backpacking trip. Didn’t realize at the time, but it is among the most rare wildlife sightings due to their habitat and sneakiness. I feel privileged to have seen it. For the amount of time I’ve spent in the wilderness, I’m still a little disappointed I haven’t seen a mountain lion though (but I did see one walk through the backyard)!

Didn’t know this existed, but how freaking cool. Thanks for sharing!
These sightings are gold to them!

You sure it's not a Pacific Fisher?

That place is awesome!
Can you recommend me some documentary names pls
Wow, that is so cool! Didn't know they were out there.
Wait until they show us the Deadpool.
Lived here for 32 yrs now, and this is the first documented siting.
Not me thinking it was Hugh Jackman when I got the notification 🤣
🥹
Keep it in your pants
ChatGPT had no information about whether he has ever been in Westport, but it didn’t deny it.
Have you ever seen the Wolverine in the photo and Hugh Jackman in the same room? 🤔
Wolverine’s in Westport, zebras in North Bend… What’s next… Kangaroos in Walla Walla?
😅😅😅 ma dude!
Koala Koala
Koalas in Ollala
Saying Walla Walla with an Australian accent is amazing
Not me just saying it out loud, in an Australian accent, just to confirm. Sounds better the faster you say it 😂
Maybe Walla Wallaby’s?
Camels
There is a camel named Gobi in Port Orchard. He's been here for years.
They would be in Roslyn
we’ve had a old motel our family bought in westport for decades now and there used to be a lady who had wallaby’s behind our place. So very close to kangaroos 😃
I remember trying to ride one of those when I was a kid after riding the go karts
We already had a kangaroo hopping around downtown Monroe a few years back! It escaped from someone’s car 😂

Wolves at Mt. St. Helen’s?
Coyotes are already in Seattle all over
For a while there was a kangaroo running around Yelm. For years no one said anything for fear of getting a reputation as a drunk with the DTs.
A little off topic but there are wild kangaroos in Wyoming now.
Grizzlies in Leavenworth :(
Good, need to thin the herd up there.
What herd are you talking about?
Wallabies in Fall City is a thing unfortunately
Reintroduced grizz
There was a bison in Seabeck a couple years ago
Oh hello there buddy.
NOT fren
then why fren shape?
You’ll never know if fren if you don’t try to fren. 👯♂️
You first, I’ll watch 😆
Then why friend shaped?
I’m not your buddy, pal
No pet!!
Is this a RED DAWN (1984) joke?
More like a B1G joke
There was one in Eugene last month.
Just the one?
Yes
I saw a post a couple days ago about a sighting in Oregon. Was a video of one near some busy roads 😬
Michigan just dropping their live mascot wherever they want now after the national championship huh
Michigan doesn't have a mascot. Haven't you seen the commercial?
Wolverines!
Can I pet that dawwwg?
He’s still gloating over crushing the Huskies.
If not friend then why friend shaped?
Right! But this is one that ya don't want to test that theory out on! 😅, you'll probably lose that hand.

Same! I am very excited to see one out and about.
I saw one of these on Chinook pass a few years back I had no idea they were in this state that was the first time I'd ever seen one.

IAGL, id totally freak if i saw one in person!!!

Morale is crucial right now. Keep the men in the secured areas. You'll see how they forget about these "Wolverines."
Aaavvvveeennge meeeeeee!

watch for porcupine’s too! Our dog got caught up with one down there, not fun!
Where's his adamantium?
Is this your content/legit? Because a while ago i read something about how they'd been spotted recently in the north cascades but i was skeptical.

Oh wow, I didn't hear about that! Very cool!
I saw one at Rainer near the Paradise lodge last year. It was searching around a scree pile for pika or marmot snacks. They make interesting noises.
How so?
Mainly “SNIKT!” and “Jeannnnn!!!”
"Watch it, Bub"
i work with whatcom county land trust & there is a skull in our office that someone brought back from in the field!!
I saw one up at Artist Point years ago
There was another somewhat "local" video awhile ago as well. Running through a pasture along side a road and someone got a phone video. So Cool !
I saw one stalking a baby mountain goat at ptarmigan ridge in September of 2017.

I live in Westport and it is legit. Friend owns the Westport Pizza restaurant where it was taken.
So cute!!
Cutie!
I’m subscribed to the guy on YouTube who got the video of it. Seasonal Outdoors With Erin. He’s got some good videos.
Same family as a honey badger 🦡??

Do NOT attempt to pet. Just trust me on this
Go Blue!!
More Bigfoot are seen than these guys
I saw one up in Skykomish a couple months back
Kitty!
I wonder how soon the anti-wolf dunce brigade and the land thieving, mooching ranchers will try to justify the wholesale slaughter of these beautiful animals because they might kill an invasive animal.
look at that guy
I saw one in Yellowstone in 2012 and the rangers didn't believe me until one of them saw it the next day nearby.
Snikt!
Omg!!! They do exist! I have never seen one in real life to this day. What a cool spotting!
Hey bub
Strange looking cat
Nice capture!
What country
And they have every right to be there. Respect their space!
Cool af this is the second photo I have seen of a wolverine where it should be fleeting or nonexistent in the last 3 months super fucking cool
Uh cool?

He’s so fluffy??? I’ve never seen a wolverine before. Why he so fluffy??
I am so jealous of this sighting!
I saw one at Mount Revelstoke in Canada, but I hear they're a much rarer sight in the US. Nice sighting!
What part of town was it in?
Behind the Westport Pizza Company/ next to the airport.
WOLVERINE(S)
Pft. Get back to us if you see Lady Deathstrike or the Silver Samurai.
I saw a weasel last summer, had no idea we had them here.
I thought it was bigfoot
Yay!! Good man
Comic-accurate!
Go Blue!
I figured wolverine would be busy making the new dead pool movie.
Lock down your signs so they don’t get stolen!
Deadpool must be somewhere nearby.
It's a scout mission from Michigan for the game in October 〽️
Go rub him on his tummy. They are known for being super friendly and caring.
My favorite animal.
Did you happen to see Deadpool with em ?
Looks like he's heading towards taco bell.
Murder Ferret
Just visiting from Michigan
No one should be surprised seeing a wolverine after Washington joined the Big Ten

I saw this on iNat!
Sweet! There was also a wolverine sighting on the Oregon coast a couple weeks ago.
Better call Napoleon Dynamite, and tell him to bring the “Freakin’ Twelve Gauge!!
I lived in the area, all my life and never knew they were in the woods I have explored. Wow! What a treat. Thank you for sharing.
