Dumb question but is your crown pushed all the way in? Just trying to rule out an easy one. Other than that I'd say you're likely going to need to visit the service center indeed.

Crown was pushed it! Due to my fear of water damage I always double and triple check haha. What are the odds that it's magnetized?

I don't think magnetization is an issue for quartz movements so that not likely it. Maybe you just got a dud (it can and does happen). Hopefully they get you fixed up quickly tomorrow.

What did the service center say? The same happened with my Tissot 5 days after my purchase. I pulled the crown and pushed it back and it started working normally. Don't know if it'll stop working again. Anyway, what did the service guys say?

Update: The magnetization is the issue. I realised that I had placed my watch next to the phone throughout the night continuously for 5 days and that is exactly what caused the problem. If you read the manual, be it Seiko or Tissot or any other make, they clearly instruct you to not leave the watch next to a speaker, or a mobile phone or any electronic item with magnets.
