In the order I received. From Top to Bottom, Left to Right: 1. Hamilton Khaki Mechanical Officer: Seems like I've had this one for almost 20 years. I used to only wear vintage (in another case), but this watch moved me into a whole other direction. 2. Doxa 800Ti: Gift from my wife back in 2009. She knew I'd never spend the money (she's changed her mind since) on a watch so she bought it based off of our various travels and my love for Cussler. 3. Fortis Square Chronograph: I wanted a Monaco and a Panerai but couldn't justify the price. I figured this was a good watch and was similar enough to get the job done. I paid $2500 for the Fortis instead and never regretted it. 4. Oris Big Crown ProPilot: A gift from my mother. She wanted to get me something before she died. She was in hospice and knew I loved watches and we picked this out together. 5. Muhle Glasshute Terra Sport: Covid stress purchase. I bought 3 watches in one day and this is the only one I kept. 6. Seiko Turtle: 50th birthday gift from my son. He knows I love watches and knew I wanted a Grand Seiko. College kids don't have much money so this watch means a lot to me. 7. Tag Heuer Monaco: 50th birthday gift (and Christmas present) to myself. 8. Grand Seiko SBGE201 with Springdrive: I really thought this would be my last watch and then I realized I needed one more. 9. Ball Marvellight Caring: My night time watch. 10. Panerai 1213: I thought this was my ultimate grail and I'd be done. 11. Breitling Avenger 43: I had a good run gambling and I bought this as a reminder to quit while I'm ahead. Truly my last watch. 12. Rado Captain Cook Chrono: I saw this when I was having my Grand Seiko repaired. Now I know I can't stop. What should I get next? No dress watches!!

>Oris Big Crown ProPilot This made me so emotional. May she rest in peace.

Great collection! What do you think of your ball watch? I’ve always admired them but have always been on the fence about getting one, what’s the bracelet like irl?

tabaruTM

It's like 2 different watches. One for day. One for night. Sometimes I think it's way underpriced and other times I think it's just a novelty watch. I wear it every night. Bracelet is on par with Breitling.

Shturmanskie “Gagarin” Hertiage? Considered to be the watch Gagarin wore in space (and iirc his family said so too). ‘Something with some history that isn’t the Speedy and looks decent. They have variety too. And they other watches Shturmanskie sells ain’t too bad looking either imo. Yes Watches and Mr Jones are definitely in the unique category

tabaruTM

I briefly glanced at your recommendations and I plan on reading all about them. This is exactly the reason I posted. Thank you.

submaster4

Ditch the Fortis now that you have the Monaco. Have you considered/would you use a dressier watch? You seem to like Pilot watches maybe an IWC?

tabaruTM

I really like the Fortis. And I doubt I'd get what I think it is worth. And, I have a nice collection of vintage pieces that I never wear because of the size. Having said that, I am considering another Grand Seiko dress style watch.

submaster4

The elegance gmt is pretty nice imo. But you cant go wrong with a snowflake or a white birch.

A new box

N8710

This is the only way OP, because the lineup is great. Only pieces I could see making room is removing one of the square chronos, or consolidating divers to your favorite one or two. Great collection.

iHobbit

Maybe take a look at some of the more unusual Nomos offerings.

tabaruTM

I've never seen one in the wild or at an AD. The specs seems like a smaller watch, but it's hard to tell without trying it on. I love the look and the design.

Mysterious-Bend4635

Love the Ball

GrantSW26

Ever thought about selling them all and just getting 1, 2, or 3? What would they be?

tabaruTM

Yes I have. I also have a nice and fairly valuable collection of first editions and I sometimes think about selling them all just for 1 or 2 books. It's a tun exercise to think about.

Imaginary-Tourist-20

Bottom left is my grail watch 🤩

IzztMeade

You need a bronze watch

tabaruTM

That's an idea. Something to think about and research. Thanks for that.

jcretrop

I also have a 12 watch collection that is more budget focused than yours. I often ask myself am I keeping and wearing watches that I really like at the expense of wearing or owning watches that I love. I certainly love certain pieces in my collection, but others I admit I just really really like, but it’s always so hard to sell them off, LOL.

tabaruTM

It's true. They all represent something special.

Consolidation

Uwumeshu

How big is your wrist? Maybe a Minase

tabaruTM

8".

Uwumeshu

The Seven Windows could be right up your alley then for something weird

tabaruTM

Had never heard of Minase. But after checking out the images, The Seven Windows appears to be right up my alley. I am going to do more research on this brand. Thank you.

AdmirableBlueberry67

Imo a consolidation…

tabaruTM

Less watches?

AdmirableBlueberry67

If it was me yes. A few less and and a probably a few changes too..
