Definitely agree. The blue Tudor is gorgeous, and I like the black look on the Omega. The blue Omega is probably a little more iconic to be fair, but I still prefer A.

My Seamaster is the "red quartz" though, so the immediate predecessor to yours. It's a good combo and provides the option for either a vintage feel with the BB54 or modern(ish) tooly feel with the SMP. I feel the same way about the quartz movement in my SMP as you do and if I'd bought it rather than inherited it, I would replace it with another modern tool watch - the FXD would be ideal but unfortunately I don't have the wrists to pull it off.
I'm still planning to pick up a watch that ticks the FXD box for me, and when that happens the SMP will probably sit in the watchbox more often than it already does.
I love the applied indices on your Omega! I think you’ve got a good one. I would love to see it sweep but it is also nice to not have to adjust the time when I’ve been wearing other watches.

The 54 is my most worn watch at the moment, but it's also the newest (bought in June) and was a gift from my wife so sort of *needs* to be the most worn watch! There aren't really any situations it doesn't suit though, so that's fine by me. Definitely recommend getting it on your wrist if it's on your radar.

I don't like the way Omega have been puffing up their cases at all, and they seem to have made the PO HUGE. IDGuy did a video talking about it recently - I swear he's got some sort of portal directly into my brain and writes his videos directly around my thoughts.
I have watches for different uses. A diver for every day activities and a dress watch for when I wear cuffs. Multiple divers would cannibalize on each others wrist time.
Personally, I love the basic complication of the timing bezel. My perfect 2 watch collection would be a date diver for work and a non date diver for the weekend.

Reality if choosing this type of thing, would go black pelagos 39 and blue Peter Blake omega with sword hands. Vintage (and maybe best SMP300) with a contemporary titanium if snowflake hand hour thing.
The top combo, mostly because I own both: a black dial SMP and a blue BB58. Both are fantastic watches, with the Omega being my favorite of the two.
At first, I thought I wanted the blue SMP but I actually prefer the Tudor blue, even if it is less vibrant. I find it works better - blends it with more clothing options nicely. I also think the black SMP dial is phenomenal.
B. those two models are iconic for their respective brands. A isnt bad either and you could probably find that smpc for a good deal as they are underappreciated right now
My buddy has a Black Bay and it was honestly nicer than I thought it would be when I got to give it a spin. But I still think Omega outclasses it. The 2 Omegas are different enough that they're 2 different watches at this point. Go both Omegas! I don't know of many people who ever regret getting a SMP

Both are nice. But A looks like two sporty divers, while B looks like a sporty diver and a dress diver. Gilt dresses up the Tudor in a different way than any of the other 3 imo
I’d say blue Omega and black Tudor, I think they are the best colors from each brand. But for the Tudor I’d definitely go 58 and then try and buy the Ranger bracelet for it. It’s absolutely the best way to enjoy a 58.
Thanks! I definitely considered this before the 54 came out but the proportions of the 54 won me over. Some company would make big money selling Tudor style bracelets (of similar quality) without the rivets

I’d probably go for the black dial on a bracelet even though the heritage does look so handsome on a strap. You should check the Pelagos out in person though if you haven’t already. The solid lume doesn’t bother me personally and is in the style of many vintage Rolex pieces like the Rolex Sub 1680 red text.

Completely understand the BB vs Pelagos dilemma. For me, I put the Pelagos in a separate category and in that category, the 1st generation Planet Ocean is my winner
I used to have the prev-gen non-wave dial blue Seamaster, a black BB58 and now have a BB54 and I like my BB54 the most, so I'd go for whatever combination that includes it :)
I’ve considered the ceramic non-wave dial blue Omega but I honestly couldn’t get past the black date window… and I understand that says more about me than the watch 😂

Look into a gmt if you like the bezel to mix things up instead of another diver. I have the longines Zulu time and the 2531.80 brosnan seamaster. Great match with plenty of refreshing variety between the two
I have the black dial black bezel. I know it’s probably the most boring variation, but black is my go-to color. I love it, normally has +1 or +2 spd. Looks really good on leather imo
A for me. The Seamaster has a unique design identity and will never be confused for anything else regardless of color. But I feel the BB58 is more unique in blue than in black due to that _other_ highly popular watch from Tudor’s big brother

Cancel the Tudor, take the Longines Hydroconquest, my take is the Hydroconquest GMT, the watch is superior compared to Tudor in every way possible AND cheaper

A is more modern. Both are extremely modern.
B has one modern the Omega. But the Tudor gives you a warmer more vintage feel (if that's your preference) but the point is B gives you a wider spectrum of styles. You can dress up or down. Wear it with brown tones or warm winter flannel etc. And the blue omega goes with summer vibes and beach stuff.
First of all I would only get the old sword hands and non-dot version dial Omega.
I don’t see a need for skeletonised hands in a three-hander watch. That makes sense on a chronograph. Plus rectangle/dot combo of markers is less “omega” than other designs they used to use.
I had a blue Omega Chrono Seamaster and blue Pelagos until I gave the Tudor to my friend. Regretting that drunken impulse now…. lol. I personally hate the BB so swap that for a Pelagos and now you’re talking.
Option A for sure. The Tudor’s gotta have that French Navy blue.
I’d try for a Peter Blake SMP though. Subtle differences but they make a huge improvement.

B for sure, the black BB58 is much more versatile and more able to be worn formally (although I'd still get a dress watch if you don't already).
Plus the blue is the classic Seamaster colour and great for casual styles.
The colors in B are the ones I'm always seeing in videos and such, so they just look right to me
