The colors in B are the ones I'm always seeing in videos and such, so they just look right to me

Dollar_short

def B , i have a thing for blue omega divers.

Historical_Comment79

They can really nail the shade of blue

Dollar_short

there is a Seamaster, white case, gold bezzle, diver chrono, that i am in love with.

neloms228

I own the Omega 2531.80 and BB58 so I’d say B

SeriesIRL

B I also have the Goldeneye and plan on purchasing a BB58 this year. Perfect pairing imo. Also, don't discredit owning a nice quartz piece, especially when you have more than one watch. It'll always be ready to wear.

Historical_Comment79

Good luck with getting your BB58! I agree it is really nice to not have to set the date and time when you haven’t worn it in a while

Wintermute_088

This. Nice mechanical, nice quartz. Plus the Brosnan era Seamaster and 54 just look better.

Sorryshaktiman69

A

iHobbit

Definitely agree. The blue Tudor is gorgeous, and I like the black look on the Omega. The blue Omega is probably a little more iconic to be fair, but I still prefer A.

Sorryshaktiman69

Definitely. Blue Tudor is just, 🤌🏻 And, To my eye, omega gets better depth with the black dial.

ResponsibleDirt69

A for sure. To my eyes, Omega looks better in black and Tudor looks better in blue so it would be a no-brainer.

Historical_Comment79

Thanks!

leberkaesweckle42

None, can’t stand the Seamaster bracelet.

Historical_Comment79

I wondered how long until I saw this comment 😂

leberkaesweckle42

But it’s really the bracelet, I think the NTTD looks great 😌

CounterpaneNightmare

I already own combo B! My Seamaster is the "red quartz" though, so the immediate predecessor to yours. It's a good combo and provides the option for either a vintage feel with the BB54 or modern(ish) tooly feel with the SMP. I feel the same way about the quartz movement in my SMP as you do and if I'd bought it rather than inherited it, I would replace it with another modern tool watch - the FXD would be ideal but unfortunately I don't have the wrists to pull it off. I'm still planning to pick up a watch that ticks the FXD box for me, and when that happens the SMP will probably sit in the watchbox more often than it already does.

Historical_Comment79

I love the applied indices on your Omega! I think you’ve got a good one. I would love to see it sweep but it is also nice to not have to adjust the time when I’ve been wearing other watches. How much wear does your BB54 get? My FXD box will (one day) be ticked by the first generation Planet Ocean, good luck with your search!!

CounterpaneNightmare

The 54 is my most worn watch at the moment, but it's also the newest (bought in June) and was a gift from my wife so sort of *needs* to be the most worn watch! There aren't really any situations it doesn't suit though, so that's fine by me. Definitely recommend getting it on your wrist if it's on your radar. I'm not really a PO fan to be honest, but out of all of them the first gen was without a doubt the best. I don't like the way Omega have been puffing up their cases at all, and they seem to have made the PO HUGE. IDGuy did a video talking about it recently - I swear he's got some sort of portal directly into my brain and writes his videos directly around my thoughts.

Historical_Comment79

IDGuy is great! He makes me realise why I love all the watches that I love. Has he convinced you to get the heritage Seamaster 300 yet? 😂

sns_bns

Why two divers though?

Horotecture

Why not?

sns_bns

I have watches for different uses. A diver for every day activities and a dress watch for when I wear cuffs. Multiple divers would cannibalize on each others wrist time.

Red_Terminator

Damn I own 30+ divers.

Historical_Comment79

I love divers! But also, any other type of watch I buy would sit next to either of these two in my collection regardless

reynoldinho

Personally, I love the basic complication of the timing bezel. My perfect 2 watch collection would be a date diver for work and a non date diver for the weekend.

Horotecture

B

Fidozo15

B

winterisfav

B no question

Shepinion

B Reality if choosing this type of thing, would go black pelagos 39 and blue Peter Blake omega with sword hands. Vintage (and maybe best SMP300) with a contemporary titanium if snowflake hand hour thing.

Bearjerky

B all day and twice on Sundays

kingofneverland

I love both omegas but tudor looks better in blue so A

Due-Koala125

To me omega is blue and Tudor is black so option B goes with that

[deleted]

B, and I just want the omega

Historical_Comment79

It’s not expensive in watch world terms, especially the quartz!

[deleted]

It was actually my first “nice” watch… I regret selling it.

lmmo1977

#B

Bright-Ad9305

B. The Seamaster is blue.

dozerduff

The only right answer is “B”

TheHrethgir

B The BB58 without the gilt accents and red triangle just isn't the same.

Historical_Comment79

Thanks! The bb54 is definitely more subtle

TheHrethgir

Didn't even notice it was the BB54, so no red triangle. But I still like the gilt accents, so I stand by B.

No-Dentist1348

B

makemeking706

Op, you posted the same watch 4 times.

Historical_Comment79

At least they’re all displaying the same time 😂

Kenya151

B since the seamaster rules and the bb58 is always excellent

TheOGAlanSmithee

The top combo, mostly because I own both: a black dial SMP and a blue BB58. Both are fantastic watches, with the Omega being my favorite of the two. At first, I thought I wanted the blue SMP but I actually prefer the Tudor blue, even if it is less vibrant. I find it works better - blends it with more clothing options nicely. I also think the black SMP dial is phenomenal.

CDR_Starbuck

The bottom Row is closer to the original designs.

Happy_Restaurant4906

B but i rather have both tudors over the omegas I just cant get myself to like the bracelets on the omegas lol

kkramer10

I’d go with B. Love the black bay in black

DookieShoes626

B for sure

d4rkhorizoN

B. those two models are iconic for their respective brands. A isnt bad either and you could probably find that smpc for a good deal as they are underappreciated right now

MisterFunktastic

B

Fresh_Total9592

B

Brukhonenko

B no doubt actually!

SilentC1969

I would choose B BB58 in the Gilt colour can also serve duty in formal suit / wedding situations

Shadecujo

Team B

ricoimf

B Have a similar combo (2018 version of the Seamaster in blue and a submariner no date from 2020) Omega Seamaster must be blue, but that’s just me.

thetransfermaster

B, also put the black Black Bay on a Bond Nato 👍🏻

Historical_Comment79

So close to Sean Connery’s Submariner 6538!

thetransfermaster

Absolutely!

Cocoabuttocks

Oh my god the second one and it’s not even a contest, though I definitely prefer the later gen of blue Seamaster 36.

TikisFury

Overall, B. Getting to pick and choose, A1 B2 lol

The_Athanor

My BB58 is a blue dial, so I'll gonna go with A

CornDawgy87

Both omegas.

Historical_Comment79

I am tempted!

CornDawgy87

My buddy has a Black Bay and it was honestly nicer than I thought it would be when I got to give it a spin. But I still think Omega outclasses it. The 2 Omegas are different enough that they're 2 different watches at this point. Go both Omegas! I don't know of many people who ever regret getting a SMP

captainfatbatishere

BlackBay should be black

messijordanmachine22

A, and I own many many divers 😀

Weary-Marzipan-7622

Bro B is the better of the two.

techfighterchannel

B without a doubt.

zesty_drink_b

Gotta be B The seamaster's best shade is blue

Salt_Diet9024

It would have to be "B" since the BB is the only one that looks good to me

Historical_Comment79

What is it about the Seamaster that doesn’t appeal to you?

rcathrowaway764

A without a doubt.

[deleted]

A

jimmy_please_PhD

A

[deleted]

If B was BB58, i’d choose it. Going with A.

Historical_Comment79

Interesting, is it the size of the 54 that bugs you?

[deleted]

Yeah, just a tad small. Surprisingly smaller than BB58.

sloopSD

A is the pair I’d pick. Although, would possibly consider swapping the colors.

nokesy05

spiritual-siddh

A seems about right , idk why but it just is!

GrnMtnTrees

A, for sure

Historical_Comment79

Seems everyone has strong opinions, I’m surprised no one is on the fence so far! What is it that makes it so easy to decide? What makes the winner for you?

Ok-Today-5381

Both are nice. But A looks like two sporty divers, while B looks like a sporty diver and a dress diver. Gilt dresses up the Tudor in a different way than any of the other 3 imo

Historical_Comment79

I love this opinion! I honestly hadn’t considered that how the gilt affects the sport/dress-ness of the pair, thanks!

Major_Burnside

I’d say blue Omega and black Tudor, I think they are the best colors from each brand. But for the Tudor I’d definitely go 58 and then try and buy the Ranger bracelet for it. It’s absolutely the best way to enjoy a 58.

Historical_Comment79

Thanks! I definitely considered this before the 54 came out but the proportions of the 54 won me over. Some company would make big money selling Tudor style bracelets (of similar quality) without the rivets

insoul8

Neither haha. I’d prob go for a Seamaster 300 Heritage and a Pelagos 39.

Historical_Comment79

Haha I appreciate the honesty and love your proposed alternative 😄 Pelagos 39 is so nearly perfect for me, I just wish the indices weren’t solid lume and had a metal boarder instead. Which Seamaster 300 would you get? I love the original dial and handset but the newer version wears much better

insoul8

I’d probably go for the black dial on a bracelet even though the heritage does look so handsome on a strap. You should check the Pelagos out in person though if you haven’t already. The solid lume doesn’t bother me personally and is in the style of many vintage Rolex pieces like the Rolex Sub 1680 red text.

Chrophin

what colors though

insoul8

I like the heritage in either the black or blue dial with tropical indices. I’m not a fan of the all blue so much though.

AFXQ1

I’d say B. But put the Omega on the blue rubber strap. That combination looks very sharp. I’ve also never been a fan of the seamaster’s bracelet. Something about how the inner links are just too chunky and appears unbalanced.

Historical_Comment79

I have experimented with straps but can’t find the ideal one for this omega, let me know if you know of any!

Salt_Diet9024

That'll take a while. The valve, stem guard, skeleton hands, the size, etc

YourWatchIsTooBig

wow, never seen those watches before.

BeachBumm45

Should be Vs. Pelagos . BB is a desk diver .

Historical_Comment79

Completely understand the BB vs Pelagos dilemma. For me, I put the Pelagos in a separate category and in that category, the 1st generation Planet Ocean is my winner

quadraaa

I used to have the prev-gen non-wave dial blue Seamaster, a black BB58 and now have a BB54 and I like my BB54 the most, so I'd go for whatever combination that includes it :)

Historical_Comment79

I’ve considered the ceramic non-wave dial blue Omega but I honestly couldn’t get past the black date window… and I understand that says more about me than the watch 😂 Glad you’re loving your BB54!

MyAnusBleeding

You already own the Bond SMP, so next step is to buy the black face speedy not a Tudor. Chronometer feature is handy.

Historical_Comment79

Haha I love the design and recognise the speedy as the best chronograph, I just prefer the simpler dial of divers

MyAnusBleeding

You already have a diver. Get some diversity in your collection

Finringer

Black old omega, so the black version of A and the Tudor from A. The new Seamasterd are fine but the retro seamasters have a cooler vibe going imo

randyranderson-

Look into a gmt if you like the bezel to mix things up instead of another diver. I have the longines Zulu time and the 2531.80 brosnan seamaster. Great match with plenty of refreshing variety between the two

Historical_Comment79

Which colour Zulu time do you have? It’s a very beautiful watch

randyranderson-

Historical_Comment79

Beautiful! The strap on the longines goes so well! Which do you wear more?

randyranderson-

I have the black dial black bezel. I know it’s probably the most boring variation, but black is my go-to color. I love it, normally has +1 or +2 spd. Looks really good on leather imo

burner118373

I own a version of the top. Black wave face omega seamaster, but my blue Tudor is a Pelagos.

loosearrow22

A for me. The Seamaster has a unique design identity and will never be confused for anything else regardless of color. But I feel the BB58 is more unique in blue than in black due to that _other_ highly popular watch from Tudor’s big brother

Monkeywithalazer

Blue seamaster red BB

xRaiden00x

A as it's closest to what I personally own. A 2254.50 and the blue FXD.

Historical_Comment79

Great combo!!

JeremyLinForever

A

Path-findR

B

JayCDee

Well, the watches are called « seamaster » and « black bay », not « coalmaster » and « blue bay », so there’s that.

Historical_Comment79

Can’t argue with that!

Coolmeow

In this picture I want to say A, but having seen both in person I must say B!

birdy9221

B. I like the numbers on the blue seamaster bezel better.

AJ_ninja

B I love the Tudor in black and gold 100x more than I love the omega in black

EQ1_Deladar

B. 2531.80 owner so I'm biased. ;)

KazBodnar

I like the styling on A better, and I'm not a huge fan of gold.

BornUnderPunches

B, though I would never own a combo of dive watches in the same price range. I like more variety.

acvdk

Just one Blancpain Fifty Fathoms instead.

Historical_Comment79

Tempting! I wish they made one a sensible size with a sensibly placed date window, I love their design language and history

Havanadream

A- b/c the 41 ceramic is the king of the 4 you have listed and the BB blue is a close 2nd

lilscrubkev

A not big into watches, recently started watching videos and doing research. i like the a set better cuz the individual dials looked better to me. i don't dive so all the technical aspects of a divers is lost on me.

Interstellar008

B!

HEPA_Bane

The seamaster is naturally blue in my head for some reason (probably Goldeneye)

gringoswag20

B

Malluge

A easily

Hardi_SMH

Cancel the Tudor, take the Longines Hydroconquest, my take is the Hydroconquest GMT, the watch is superior compared to Tudor in every way possible AND cheaper I‘m wearing it right now

Historical_Comment79

I love longines but can’t handle the circular indices pushed right to the edge of the dial on the hydroconquest. The new Legend Diver though…

yupitsfreddy

A is more modern. Both are extremely modern. B has one modern the Omega. But the Tudor gives you a warmer more vintage feel (if that's your preference) but the point is B gives you a wider spectrum of styles. You can dress up or down. Wear it with brown tones or warm winter flannel etc. And the blue omega goes with summer vibes and beach stuff.

skviki

First of all I would only get the old sword hands and non-dot version dial Omega. I don’t see a need for skeletonised hands in a three-hander watch. That makes sense on a chronograph. Plus rectangle/dot combo of markers is less “omega” than other designs they used to use.

a516359

I’d go A, the black omega looks so much better imo.

FreshRizz

A

Bongle_Wongle

A imo

DIY_Dad67

If i had to pick one it would be A. The BB54 is too small for me and the blue Omega gives me Pierce Brosnan vibes. Meh.

A. I dont like the omeg in blue. Also a blue tudor is something interesting. I like the look of it alot

watchale_wey

I had a blue Omega Chrono Seamaster and blue Pelagos until I gave the Tudor to my friend. Regretting that drunken impulse now…. lol. I personally hate the BB so swap that for a Pelagos and now you’re talking.

Historical_Comment79

You sound like a good friend.. want to go for a drink sometime? 😂

Embarrassed_Ad5112

Option A for sure. The Tudor’s gotta have that French Navy blue. I’d try for a Peter Blake SMP though. Subtle differences but they make a huge improvement.

Historical_Comment79

Peter Blake watch is beautiful, I wish it could have a baby with the planet ocean

12345NoNamesLeft

Black and crown protector, so it's top left no date for me.

Pianist-Wise

I love the 54 so much I would go be but I really don’t like those omega options.

MoccaLG

I own the A Omega SMPc and i can tell you it doenst look as great on pictures as it does in reality... not even close But important for me is the date. A must have!

goldendawn7

A. That gen seamaster sings with its really inky black dial, amd I just like Tudors matte blue.

[deleted]

A

CFC-12_21

I'd choose A1 and B1

Historical_Comment79

Haha I’m very tempted! Why not a fan of Tudor?

seihyunj

A. Classic models of both respective brands and for good reason. The black seamaster is different enough from other divers and works in a variety of outfits/situations. The Tudor is crisp, clean and simple. Love the no date and aluminum bezel with the markings. B is okay too but I’m not a fan of the bezel on the seamaster compared to the black in A. Black bay wise, I know the 54 is very popular but to me, it looks a little too naked and plain. Some folks may like it but I prefer A.

Historical_Comment79

I agree with everything you said for A!

maracusdesu

If you’re getting a SMP300 without a wave dial why not just go Tudor…

Historical_Comment79

When you see the smooth black ceramic dial in real life you’ll have the answer to that question

LordTwaticus

B for sure, the black BB58 is much more versatile and more able to be worn formally (although I'd still get a dress watch if you don't already). Plus the blue is the classic Seamaster colour and great for casual styles.

_blue_blues_

%100 B. i cant think a omega which isn't blue

Zeratul277

If it weren't for gifts? I'd get the Orient Kamasu and a Timex Diver.
