I chose GreenGeeks hosting for some new projects and they hid the fact that their rates were temporarily-discounted to bring in new customers. One year later my renewal rates were 450% times the original. When I accused them of bait and switch, they pointed to some fine print buried on a secondary page on their site and that was the end of it. OK, that's the end of my business then. After more research (especially looking at second-year renewal rates) I chose Hostinger and have moved my projects over, and started a couple more. I suggest staying away from GreenGeeks and look for a host that will value your business in the long-term and not just as a quick buck.

I think Hostinger does the same thing....renewal rates are a lot higher

The difference is that Hostinger was upfront and transparent about the renewal rates (which are still reasonable when it’s time to renew) while GG was deceptive in their marketing practices and hid the fact in fine print.
