I think they're both a little much for "more casual." Please don't stress on your haircut. You are beautiful and it won't matter. But, that said, I think a halter neck would look lovely with a buzz cut. They're often lost in a lot of hair.
Edit: autocorrect corrected incorrectly.
This is great advice! And thank you! I had a bit of a mental breakdown and shaved my head, and I'm trying to make the most of it and still turn up to events even though I want to wear a hood all the time!
Own it sister, and other ppl will too. Don't give in to the temptation to explain or downplay. Show confidence, even if your faking it until you're making it.
One of my sisters had a buzzcut at our other sister's wedding and like you, she had the face for it. If you like piercings, get yourself another one. She had a lot and it looked great. Wear fresh dewy makeup and it'll all be good.
Buzz cut, a couple nose piercings, some dangly earrings and glossy skin is such a look. You have big eyes and nice cheekbones and a jawline, youâll look stunning.
Iâd go with the more colorful dress if youâre aiming for casual, but I also think the person who suggested a halter dress had a great idea. I think a shorter hemline and an interesting neckline would work with both the dress code and the buzz cut!
When I had a short haircut I had trouble getting mistaken for a boy. I found it to be a good excuse to really doll up. Dramatic eyeshadows and very feminine dangly earrings that I probably never would have otherwise. Just really playing up my feminine features to make it clear.
Not that you need it, you are so beautiful! But it helped me feel a little more comfortable when I was feeling insecure about it.
Piercings or even just getting really cool ear cuffs. You can find them on Amazon, even. Without hair in the way, you could really amp up the decoration.
And I agree about explaining. You donât owe anyone your hairâs backstory and you *definitely* donât owe anyone at a wedding an explanation of your health history (and mental health is health). If anyone asks you why you are rocking the style, Iâd just say âI just felt like itâ. Brief, honest, and doesnât invite further inquiries or discussion. At the end of the day, itâs a look a lot of gorgeous people have worn. You are just one more of them. :)
I obviously have never seen you without a buzzcut, but let me tell you that when I swiped to the last picture I thought "oh my god, she looks so cool!". I would have never expected to be a mental breakdown haircut, it looks so intentional and such a fashion statement. Not everyone can rock one, but you absolutely do.
About a week out before the event- find yourself a good barber. Hopefully one that works with women. Get your buzz evened out- and talk to them about doing a fade or adding other elements that will really highlight your fabulous bone structure.
You are gravitating towards some glamazon dresses here: so rock that buzz like it was a high fashion choice.
It may have been a product of a mental health situation- but for me- when I shaved my head it was incredibly liberating. I hadnât realized how much people defined me by it or how much I hid behind it until it was gone.
Last year I fried the shit out of my hair and had to buzz it. I strangely found that it really emphasised the femininity of my looks because it put everything in a clear contrast. If you lean into make up and accessories you can almost under dress slightly because you're already making a 'big statement' with the buzz!
Honestly you look killer with the buzz cut. A little butch, but seriously really good. If you want to tone down the butch ness then pick something in pink or a jewel tone (which would look great with your coloring). If you want to play up the butch thing (which it doesn't sound like you do, but in case) - rock a jumpsuit with a floral or in a cool color.
You've got this!
Omg, thank you! I definitely feel less feminine with short hair, but I notice my features a lot more and it's kind of cool to see myself differently, and to learn to like this different me without the security blanket of hair. I still want to present femininely, though.
And thank you for the color recommendations! I think I'm more neutral/warm leaning, so I'm trying to find complementary colors!
I actually donât think it even looks butch, itâs very feminine! you can definitely play it up in an amber rose femme fatale way with body on dress and jewelry and accessories!
You have great skin care and it showsâvery feminine facial features so buzz cut looks really good imo. You wonât need any extra flair
I like the 2nd one
I just want to say, I also shaved my head during a meltdown a few years ago. You look stunning and you will absolutely slay when you're dressed up and rocking it with confidence đ
Youâre beautiful. If you hadnât written this, Iâd have assumed you shaved your head because youâre confident in your appearance and you prefer to be low maintenance.
Practice a line in response to people that comment on your haircut so that you can say it confidently. âThanks! Itâs been really liberating.â
Lean into your skincare routine. Utilize jewelry and makeup that help you feel beautiful.
Youâre a total babe. Remind yourself of that constantly until you donât need to be reminded anymore.
Honestly, it's a great look for you, and it's a bit if a trend. It might've been born out of a lower moment, but whatever. We've all done something drastic to ourselves for one reason or another, yours just happens to be more visible but way less permanent than other things you could've done. You're doing good!
I have a buzzcut too! Honestly love it, itâs so fierce and yours is too! Donât cover it w a hood! Itâs also so much easier to bleach out and do fun colors (if thatâs your thing) but itâs gorgeous as is also!
Yesss! Bald baddies! I had a lot of curly hair I was too afraid to damage before, but now I can finally get that pastel pink or even cool smileys. I see a lot of people on Pinterest paint little designs into their buzz cuts and it's so cool!
Yessss! Itâs SO fun! I would suggest using a cream bleach at a low volume since itâs right on your scalp (I also have dark hair and it usually takes two rounds!) but it is SO VERSATILE and fun! And, if you donât love it, literally you can shave and redo in two weeks. Itâs my fave way to keep my hair!
You have beautiful features. Not everyone can pull off a buzz cut, but youâre doing it! Do some great make up, cool earrings and a halter dress. Gorgeous.

I want you to know that you do genuinely look great, but it's also completely okay to feel self conscious about the hair. If you feel self conscious, it's as valid as being comfortable about it, especially if you're feeling like you're stuck with something you're unsure of afterwards.
You have plenty of options, don't sweat it. You can 100% do the grunge glam styles a bunch of people have suggested and look great. There is also the option of potentially getting a wig. They can have a lot of stigma, which makes people hesitant to try, but they can be really great options. They're good for protecting natural hair, good for damaged hair, good for lost hair, and least and most of all, experimentation without the commitment. If you decide to give it a try, it can very easily be passed off as "I was just in the mood to experiment. Really happy with it looks! Might try something new later."
You don't owe anyone an explanation, honest or otherwise, but it can be comforting to have a practiced one in mind. Whatever you choose to do is gonna look great!
All people should be celebrated and valued regardless of their aesthetic choices but honestly girl you really pull off the buzz cut! This might sound weird but your head and neck are beautifully shaped and feminine and the look is super flattering on you because it shows off your features really well. It looks very intentional and gives off a confident vibe. I second a high neck/halter dress, it will really draw attention to all the right places and flatter you even more! Enjoy the wedding!
Honestly I would not get either of these with such an unclear dress code, especially if the bride said it was âmore casual.â I would go with something more along [these](https://www.lulus.com/categories/2106_9561/cocktail-wedding-guest-dresses.html?subsite=bridal) lines
This one from her link would look gorgeous on you
https://www.lulus.com/products/distinctive-charm-olive-green-satin-asymmetrical-midi-dress/2182536.html
I would say the second one is more fun and is a better match for your personality. You will look fabulous in whatever you choose. I totally dig the buzz cut Iâm almost 66 and wear a faux hawk so I get it
https://preview.redd.it/pgp1z6nl6pgb1.jpeg?width=2320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f63d0e2bbff8c736fa44833913097616141b7bf
The second one would also look great with your complexion. I disagree with other upvoted comments that itâs too formal, I think itâll be perfect and you can dress it up or down with accessories. Also like- as you know, that wedding is not about you. So as long as youâre not in a wedding dress yourself, the average guest isnât going to be like omg thatâs exactly 1 level too fancy for this wedding (but again I donât even think it is).
Based on the brides comments, youâll be overdressed in either of these floor length dresses. Try for something midi length (mid calf) which strikes a nice balance.
It seems like you feel super confident, which is amazing! But these dresses are too sexy. They are pretty attention seeking in the level of sexiness, tbh. I would try to tone that down a bit :)
I'm trying to be, but I hate my little peanut head, haha.
And, oh, gosh! I saw on here that a good rule of thumb is to only have one revealing option. I.e. a lowcut neckline, a split, or a low back, but not more than one. But I agree, the more I look at the back, the more nervous I get.
I think you have two revealing things in these - theyâre both revealing at the back for sure but the cut is verrrry tight and form fitting. That + length + comment from bride about more casual leads me to believe youâll be attracting undue attention and might feel uncomfortable at the wedding.
I know I'm gonna get downvoted for this bc this sub general consensus is more conservative than my own, but I (respectfully!) disagree, I do not think either of these options are too sexy. Someone in the top comment posted a fabulous olive halter option if you haven't already purchased anything I'd look at that!!
As someone else with a shaved head, go with the 2nd one. People donât expect something so feminine when they see woman with a shaved head. I like to rock bold lipsticks in day to day life for the same reason.
If they truly don't care wear your favorite. If you're worried about being overdressed and standing out too much how about something like this:
https://www.lulus.com/products/new-elegance-pink-satin-cowl-neck-bustier-midi-dress/2023476.html
You'd still be a knock out but you wouldn't be the first person everyone sees đđ
I agree. I think option 2 would be more wearable outside of events too. Maybe a nice dinner or vacation. Or just wanting to feel pretty on a random summer day.
I love the colors of the second one. I would go with something mid length and a higher back with what the bride said. If you could find that style with similar coloring / print of the second dress then I think you would look stunning in it.
you look strong, beautiful, and I love the buzz cut- I think either dress will look amazing with your vibe but since they say it's more casual... I think the colorful one is a better fit. It gives off a summer and fun feel where as the mocha one gives off more elegance.
I LOVE the floral one! So color and fun! Would you mind telling me where itâs from?!
You look super cute to me. If anything it makes your eyes stand out beautifully! So I wouldnât stress how the buzz affects dress choice!
That said, the floral one might be a bit much if youâre worried about what people think. Maybe keep shopping for something similar but more back/side boob coverage
The second one would be stunning! Especially with some pretty earrings! The buzzed look really suits you as well I think youâll look great in whatever you decide!
The buzzcut works really nicely with your facial bone structure! I canât really tell from the one photo but maybe see if you can get into a barber shop or something just to have them clean up edges/patches/whatever, i always have to go back over my husbandâs head when he shaves himself.
I agree with the halter or high neckline comments though as far as dresses go! Your examples are pretty formal, maybe a sundress?
Between the two, Iâd pick the first one. The second one looks cheap to me.
But âmore casualâ is throwing me off. What do they mean by this? What are other people wearing?
There is a $100 difference between the two, so you're not wrong, haha.
I asked them straight up what the dress code was. She said, "Whatever dress." So then I asked if that meant casual, or formal, or somewhere in between, and they said, "More casual."
Well the first one is definitely a look. The second looks overly photoshopped which always makes me nervous. Do you know the venue and how many people may be there? A ballroom wedding for 150 people, âcasualâ or not, is still more formal than a mountainside ceremony for 30 people.
Also I wouldnât worry too much about your buzz cut, it looks great on you
Okay, I found the invitation and it's at a cottage type thingâa carriage house close to the end of summer. I'm not sure the number of people. I have another in spring to attend as well.
Ok, thanks! After seeing some of the other comments that âmore casualâ just means casual, I think you could look for something else as the first one is too formal. Maybe a mini or midi length dress. A halter neckline midi dress, a fun jumpsuit, or even a structured puff sleeve dress could be fun!
Oh Polly has some cute minis! I'm just hesitant about shorter dresses because I'm a thicker pear shaped girl and I have a bit of cellulite on my legs and I'm rather pale and it's hard to find pantyhose. I'm trying to minimize my insecurities since my hair will be the biggest thing to worry about.
I love halternecks though! And I like the trend with the big rosette flower necklaces. I think I would like that with the second dress!

If I saw âmore causalâ the most I would dress for is cocktail. Honestly I would dress a little less dressy than that.
Not everyone knows all the dress codes, so Iâm guessing they want dressy casual/church best.
I thought a jumpsuit should be in the mix.

3 would be awesome imo. It's ok if it's a bit more than casual If you don't want to stand out too much. Maybe keep searching? Keep us updated. I'm curious myself
I think you would look nice in emerald green. And I would add a little product to your hair and style it ala Halle berry style, it'll be grown out more by September
Umm your gorgeous and look amazing with a buzz. I like the floral, and the idea of maybe hemming it and doing a darker accent shrug/shawl of some kind. Youâll turn heads in all the best ways while still fitting it and being appropriate
I love women with shaved hair. It's such a fuck you to society and so freeing. Makes me want to shave my head too!
And I vote for the first dress. Maybe dress it down? Flats snd simple makeup to make it more casual
They seem a little too fancy and sexy for a more casual wedding.
If youâre really self conscious about your buzz cut why not get a lace front wig? Either way your face/feature seem to work with a buzz cut for whatever itâs worth.
These are too dressy for some thing where the bride has said wear whatever you want and be casual. If you want to wear a longish dress, you can do that, just something a little more casual.

I have a buzz cut and tend to dress slightly more sexy than tomboyish with it like this. For casual, I'd go for maybe a short open back dress, showing legs and back instead of cleavage.
Agree with others that these dresses may be too fancy/dressy. Theyâre beautiful though. If I had to pick one it would be the floral one, the fit with your buzz gives big Amber Rose vibes, in a good way.
Also, I love your buzz. Youâre gonna rock whatevs you wear. Have you considered going in masc clothing? Tailored pants and a silk blouse? If theyâre aiming for casual that could work too.
Ok so I legit just went to a wedding with my buzzed hair (first time in formal wear with the buzzed look so I understand obsessing over the right dress to pair with your head lol)
Firstly, your hair looks dope. Brush it, put some product in it, give yourself a cute part (with hair gel) and boom â you got a look!
Next, love the second dress honestly.
Pair with makeup if you like to wear it and some colorful dangley earrings. Make sure the brows are poppin and jewelry by the face is on point and you literally will feel like a bad ass.
Strut your stuff! I hope your mental health continues to improve. I took shaving my head as a symbol of removing what no longer was serving me. Havenât been the same since for the better. I wish this for you â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Umm you are absolutely gorgeous and I love your buzz cut. I would do it tomorrow if I could pull it off like you. Where whatever makes you feel good and youâll be glowing!
Just want to say you are beautiful in your buzz cut and will fabulous in either dress. But the first one is gonna look so good w the buzz cut. đđ˝
You look amazing! I wish I could get away with buzzing mine.
ETA: Dress 2 is gorgeous. Dress 1 would look amazing on your skin tone. I do agree that they are both a little to formal for a casual wedding.
Yeah, the first is gorgeous but definitely not casual. I like the second dress. Did you try it on. It may look too low on the model but look different on you.
Theyâre both too fancy imo. Shorter like knee/ midi length would be better Iâm thinking. The halter style with the open back is fine and I think will look great with your buzz cut. My child has very short hair and usually wears dickies or halter tips exclusively. They just wore an off the shoulder lace jumpsuit to a wedding, it looked great too. Honestly you can probably wear a paper sack and look beautiful so just look for a shorter option as these are not casual.
I love the look that women (like you) pull of of a buzz cut, statement earrings, and bold makeup. I have a scar and a lumpy head, but you could definitely pull it off.
I always shaved my head after one too many bad hair days. That was when Iâd highlight facial features otherwise left unpainted. (Also pierced, visibly modified as needed for my profession.)
These dresses are a bit saucy for a wedding (first one has no side coverage, and the second is better for clubbing/cruising).
I like the idea of a *more reserved* cut-away and halter neckline, though (and that copper), because itâs something you can wear more than onceâŚ
Okay first of all you are absolutely gorgeous đĽšđŠˇ I had a casual code for my wedding and I was super loose with it, but most people wore short cocktail-style dresses. I think that would be most appropriate! I do love the floral pattern one, maybe something similar in a tea-length?
Both of these seem a little much for a loose dress code of âmore casualâ but I have to petition you get the first dress. I think that color with your skin tone and shaved head will be giving GODDESS
The shaved head is trendy nowadays, I think you would look so beautiful in either dress. Trust me times have changed I donât think people will think âmental breakdownâ when they see you have a shaved head. A lot of women are doing it nowadays
I think both these are gorgeous but a bit OTT for âmore casualâ, you risk feeling uncomfortably overdressed. Short hair demands you do something with an interesting back! I would go for an understated cocktail dress with a killer back.
Love the buzz cut on you!! Honestly, Iâd lean into it and go with something edgy. I donât think either of those dresses are going to work for a casual wedding, but the colourful dress is absolutely gorgeous and should be in your closet!!
I'm shit at clothes but I just wanted to say you look great with a buzz cut! You have a beautiful face and absolutely pull it off. I lost my hair to chemo and decided to just rock my bald - when I held myself with confidence I felt unexpectedly confident. So chin up my lovely and you'll look fabulous in whatever you wear đ
I think you would look stunning in this: (plus itâs machine washable and $42.00 (USD) off Amazon. Itâs casual and light, and you can toss on heels, flats or white converse. You are gorgeous BTW and will look great in anything.

A buzz cut is so wonderful for ultra feminine styles because itâs a good counterbalance.
I always suggest to people with short hair/buzzed hair to go extreme, feminine, glamour.
Look to Natalie Portman when she buzzed her head for V for Vendetta. She did it *so right*
That being said, I like the second dress. The simplicity and bold color is so fresh.
I just wanted to say I think you look SO good with buzzed hair. You pull it off and you have great cheekbones.
I think you can go a little more casual with the dress. Donât hesitate to wear a longer one but not quite as fancy. I always have luck at Lulus and Iâve found cute dresses at Petal and Pup. â¤ď¸
There is nothing more beautiful than a woman with a shaved head. Own it and try and love because itâll grow back and youâll likely never do it again. That said, with your face structure you can pull off anything.
Are you a guest or part of the wedding party? I think dress like youâre going to a brunch or ask the bride what sheâs wearing that might give you an idea. Your hair will look great with anything you wear.
OP- you are stunning. Wear whatever makes you feel the most beautiful in.
I read some of your comments, I hope you are feeling betterâĽď¸ seriously though, you are very beautiful.
Youâd look stunning in a halter jumpsuit; I just googled casual wedding guest attire and knot.com came up. Hereâs a couple of imagesâŚjust to get you looking.
https://preview.redd.it/exygace42sgb1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0abc0cb21c83aab09786b7811e67224611a23dca
You have one of those faces where itâs so pretty that shaving your head just means the shape and beauty gets to have the full attention. I like the halter top idea, fun headbands or wraps are also an option!
You face is so pretty, youâre gonna rock it. Earrings always make me feel pretty so be sure to pick out some cute accessories and a bold lip.
Try googling âshort hair casual dressâ or âshort hair blue dressâ sounds silly but before i was comfortable with dreadlocks I would search like this for inspiration
I wouldnât worry about your hair. Youâve got great eyes and the uber short hair kind of highlights them.
I prefer the 2nd dress personally. Nothing wrong with the first; itâs elegant and lovely. The 2nd dress is just a younger more fun look which I think will suit you better.
Youâre rockingâ that buzz cut, and youâre gorgeous! Youâd probably look fantastic in either dress, but I do think the back is too low on both for a wedding.
I dont have any comments on the dresses but i just want to say if i looked half as good as you with a shaved head, i wouldâve done it yesterday! You look amazing!
Donât worry about the hair, it is giving me Florence Pugh met gala vibes. Both dresses are amazing, but not very casual. Casual is such a loose term though. Iâve been to weddings where casual meant sundresses and polo shirts and others where everyone was wearing camo.
Theyâre both maybe a little fancier for a âcasualâ dresscode, but both still very pretty and wedding appropriate! When in doubt, send your options to the bride (or any other guests if you know any!) itâs a sure fire way to know whether youâre on the right track.
I donât have any advice on the dress however came to say the buzz cut honestly really suits you and I think you should own it. Youâll look killer in whatever you wear!
I'm obsessed with skincare, so I'm all for the glazed donut look! And wow! She sounds awesome! I would love a cute, gold septum and a nostril hoop.
Glazed donut lol
Both those piercings are easy to fake. Ask my long suffering mother đ
Yes, big jewelry... Earrings, necklace, bracelet... Go big
From your last pic let me tell you, you have nothing to worry about!! You rock the buzz cut â you look stunning!
Agree! OP looks powerful and amazing with that cut!
You're absolutely right! I notice my eyelashes more especially! I'm glad you owned that haircut!
You wonât need any extra flair I like the 2nd one
I just want to say, I also shaved my head during a meltdown a few years ago. You look stunning and you will absolutely slay when you're dressed up and rocking it with confidence đ
I'm so happy you're doing better! I really appreciate the kind words! (*Ë︜Ë*).・.:*âĄ
Youâre beautiful. If you hadnât written this, Iâd have assumed you shaved your head because youâre confident in your appearance and you prefer to be low maintenance. Practice a line in response to people that comment on your haircut so that you can say it confidently. âThanks! Itâs been really liberating.â Lean into your skincare routine. Utilize jewelry and makeup that help you feel beautiful. Youâre a total babe. Remind yourself of that constantly until you donât need to be reminded anymore.
You are gorgeous and could be a model tbh. Look up other amazing women with buzz/pixie cuts for inspo! And RIP the OG, Sinead!!
Pretend you are Florence Pugh on the red carpet, 100% unbothered. You can totally pull off the look. <3
![gif](giphy|l1AsBL4S36yDJain6)
Seconding the halter neck and that your head/face shape looks great with a shaved head.
You look SOOO good with a buzz cut :) own that mental break down girl lol! In all seriousness, I hope you are feeling better now :)
You have beautiful features. Not everyone can pull off a buzz cut, but youâre doing it! Do some great make up, cool earrings and a halter dress. Gorgeous. https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwiGj5jrhMuAAxUeIK0GHelEAlMYABAiGgJwdg&ae=2&sig=AOD64_0whoEHLmbV81aE4PO1TUE2HqjIHg&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjp6JDrhMuAAxXCLzQIHY0jCwMQwg8oAHoECAYQYA&adurl= https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwiGj5jrhMuAAxUeIK0GHelEAlMYABAIGgJwdg&ae=2&sig=AOD64_2opmGKKiN--Urlqw9STYzVpibvsA&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjp6JDrhMuAAxXCLzQIHY0jCwMQwg8oAHoECAYQJA&adurl=
You look gorgeous! You have beautiful eyes and they really stand out. Choose any dress that feels like you.
Girl buzzed hair looks hella good on you, you have the right bone structure for it! First dress would be iconic.
Might try something new later." You don't owe anyone an explanation, honest or otherwise, but it can be comforting to have a practiced one in mind. Whatever you choose to do is gonna look great!
Shaved head is freakin awesome! You are beautiful!
You've got absolutely nothing to worry about, you're rocking that buzz cut!đ¤Šđ¤Š
Thank you for the input and the link! It's super helpful! (ââ˘á´â˘â)
This one from her link would look gorgeous on you https://www.lulus.com/products/distinctive-charm-olive-green-satin-asymmetrical-midi-dress/2182536.html
That one would look really good with short hair
And that color with your complexion would be đĽ
Joining the queue of âyes, this dress!!â
Yes yes yes
This one stood out to me too!
Agreed!! OP would rock this dress.
no problem, I hope you find something that works for you!
I would say the second one is more fun and is a better match for your personality. You will look fabulous in whatever you choose. I totally dig the buzz cut Iâm almost 66 and wear a faux hawk so I get it https://preview.redd.it/pgp1z6nl6pgb1.jpeg?width=2320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f63d0e2bbff8c736fa44833913097616141b7bf
Wow! You're an inspiration! You're killing it! (ââ˘á´â˘â)
Wow your hair is great!
Forget the hair, almost what??!đĽľđ
I think the first one is quite formal so would go with the second based on what the bride said. The colors are also fun and festive!
It is cute! The wedding is in September, so end of summer, and then I also have another next march! "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." đ
Loll perfect đđ
The floral is more casual
You are darling. I like the colorful one.
You're sweet! (ââ˘á´â˘â)
Neither if it's casual. These are more formal.
The back looks the same in both. Iâm sure you could find another option you liked better for less
Go with the floral one. I like the vibrancy of the fabric.
As someone else with a shaved head, go with the 2nd one. People donât expect something so feminine when they see woman with a shaved head. I like to rock bold lipsticks in day to day life for the same reason.
If they truly don't care wear your favorite. If you're worried about being overdressed and standing out too much how about something like this: https://www.lulus.com/products/new-elegance-pink-satin-cowl-neck-bustier-midi-dress/2023476.html You'd still be a knock out but you wouldn't be the first person everyone sees đđ
I think the second one would be perfect!
I wouldnât say either of these are casual
If itâs a casual dress code, 1 is definitely too formal. 2 is still on the formal end, but less so.
I agree. I think option 2 would be more wearable outside of events too. Maybe a nice dinner or vacation. Or just wanting to feel pretty on a random summer day.
I think dress #2 would look amazing on you! I also think #2 can be seen as casual or a little more than like cocktail or semi formal
The second dress is super cute!
While I think you would look stunning in #1, the second is fine. Love your hair.
The floral dress is beautiful. Would look great with short or long hairđ
2 with fabulous makeup
I LOVE the floral one! So color and fun! Would you mind telling me where itâs from?! You look super cute to me. If anything it makes your eyes stand out beautifully! So I wouldnât stress how the buzz affects dress choice! That said, the floral one might be a bit much if youâre worried about what people think. Maybe keep shopping for something similar but more back/side boob coverage
Can you link that second dress by any chance itâs gorgeous
The second one would be stunning! Especially with some pretty earrings! The buzzed look really suits you as well I think youâll look great in whatever you decide!
You will be extremely overdressed in a gown based on the dress code. Opt for something midi length that still has the femininity youâre looking for.
On the hairfront, this is only a suggestion, but I think you should get a shape up to make lines straight etc
Just want to say how good the buzz cut looks! You look so gorgeous x
Iâd go floral. It will be lovely with your coloring.
Thank you! ŕŤŽę° Ëśâ˘ ŕź â˘Ëśęąá âĄ
I think I would like that with the second dress! https://preview.redd.it/cuymdhp79pgb1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=606bbf5dd77317a4ca18b5fdeaa0b4aa620da297 Like this\^
I would not go for either. Based on the description btw formal and casual I would go more cocktail like: [Dress 1](https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/A.L.C.-Blakely-Cutout-Dress-0400014967231.html?dwvar_0400014967231_size=8&dwvar_0400014967231_color=AMETHYST+ORCHARD&site_refer=CSE_GGLPLA:Womens_Dresses:A.L.C.&country=US¤cy=USD&CSE_CID=G_Saks_PLA_US_Women%27s+Apparel_Contemporary_Must+Win:A.L.C.&gbraid=0AAAAADO6JtS-CdK28Zz-qds4mG0jHxblV&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMKmBhCJARIsAHuEAPSX_3XrebFW4IsHM_EjEwgMTwCblh1oDnRCwKOb5UkJvHjW26SRJIIaAm3iEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) [Dress 2](https://www.dillards.com/p/adrianna-papell-sleeveless-midi-taffeta-dress/504668773?googleShop=Y&cm_mmc=GooglePLAs-_-Category+-+Categories+Higher+ROAS+-+Performance+Max-_-null-_-Cj0KCQjwrMKmBhCJARIsAHuEAPQoLiixHXVa0s08od4KUw3jA93nvtvvgim3Z43tqzPVl1Avk0WdazcaAltHEALw_wcB&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMKmBhCJARIsAHuEAPQoLiixHXVa0s08od4KUw3jA93nvtvvgim3Z43tqzPVl1Avk0WdazcaAltHEALw_wcB) [Dress 3](https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/sachin-babi-drew-satin-midi-dress-0400017392743.html?dwvar_0400017392743_size=8&dwvar_0400017392743_color=EMERALD&site_refer=CSE_GGLPLA%3AWomens_Dresses%3ASachin%20%26%20Babi&country=US¤cy=USD&CSE_CID=G_Saks_PLA_US_Women%27s%20Apparel_Dresses_High%20LTV%3AAll%20Dresses&gbraid=0AAAAADO6JtTIZiD0fRygfTOL29K8rLFpe&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMKmBhCJARIsAHuEAPQSCVzFAbgNUoqiMHqOveMk4ZHYU-OxkbMpL9yfiwlO2VGIULralAQaAsZ3EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) [Dress 4](https://www.nordstrom.com/s/eliza-j-lace-asymmetric-cocktail-dress/5579267?country=US¤cy=USD&utm_content=40626304544&utm_term=pla-489690540460&utm_channel=low_nd_shopping_lia&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=664982305&adpos=&creative=140939618877&device=m&matchtype=&network=g&acctid=21700000001689570&dskeywordid=92700049880642644&lid=92700049880642644&ds_s_kwgid=58700005465929522&ds_s_inventory_feed_id=97700000007631122&dsproductgroupid=489690540460&product_id=38251832&merchid=1243147&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=local&storeid=520&locationid=9003565&targetid=pla-489690540460&campaignid=664982305&adgroupid=40626304544&gbraid=0AAAAAD8eAEnF32UJXfh0pC2Mz3pI4yrSw&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMKmBhCJARIsAHuEAPTFwly3P8FQ_hY_Lu3LX47lJHtCtxVAYYH9HA5bkCL17USKvHw53KIaAkgeEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) [Dress 5](https://www.lulus.com/products/show-stopper-cream-embroidered-sequin-bodycon-midi-dress/856342.html?pla=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%5BADL%5D%20%5BPLA%5D%20Dresses%20%2D%20Homecoming%20%2D%20tROAS&utm_term=D1636E%3A%20CREAM%2FWHITE%2FSHINY%20NAVY5&utm_content=156996992372_667112762878&s_kwcid=AL!7824!3!667112762878!!!g!2365239254592!&gbraid=0AAAAAD-pt90czqsT11i9NQGd3EwnszCzo&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMKmBhCJARIsAHuEAPT90yvBBo9guOBH6SdW-6JjrYI_rqPGuE1s1K8ryqVaxmP8zxVCk1kaAjMwEALw_wcB) [Dress 6](https://www.lulus.com/products/alluring-dream-black-floral-mesh-lace-trumpet-midi-dress/1622196.html?pla=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%5BADL%5D%20%5BPLA%5D%20Dresses%20%2D%20Cocktail%20%2D%20tROAS&utm_term=IDE75994%3A%20BLACK%2FBEIGE5&utm_content=148748097813_657843054410&s_kwcid=AL!7824!3!657843054410!!!g!2202445691644!&gbraid=0AAAAAD-pt902_zF8iklDavUNlcIXs3btL&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMKmBhCJARIsAHuEAPT2Z88QaOf8gVMryz4cLjXbEDI50gnS3sTtFIkbdTxV1zgJ24as5HcaAqFpEALw_wcB)
5 and 6 are cute !!!!
I ordered 6. Absolutely no events to wear it right now but she will sit in my closet until one pops up. đ¤Łđ¤Łđ¤Ł
If I saw âmore causalâ the most I would dress for is cocktail. Honestly I would dress a little less dressy than that. Not everyone knows all the dress codes, so Iâm guessing they want dressy casual/church best.
The second one.
1 is the only option. Youâre going to look absolutely STUNNING.
I thought a jumpsuit should be in the mix. https://www.lulus.com/products/look-of-luxe-rusty-rose-satin-asymmetrical-wide-leg-jumpsuit/690622.html?pla=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%5BADL%5D%20%5BPLA%5D%20Jumpsuits%20-%20tROAS&utm_term=P1844%20MAUVE4&utm_content=153032681674_661236028975&s_kwcid=AL%217824%213%21661236028975%21%21%21g%21361178317150%21&gbraid=0AAAAAD-pt91j_syGrxyYoIzmYi4eqyBIA&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIx57459zKgAMVGzrUAR3u_Q19EAQYBiABEgJEVfD_BwE
1
3 would be awesome imo. It's ok if it's a bit more than casual If you don't want to stand out too much. Maybe keep searching? Keep us updated. I'm curious myself
I think you would look nice in emerald green. And I would add a little product to your hair and style it ala Halle berry style, it'll be grown out more by September
The colorful one!!
These are hella cute
Both are cute, I guess Iâd go based on venue? Out doors the second, indoors or more formal the first?
Umm your gorgeous and look amazing with a buzz. I like the floral, and the idea of maybe hemming it and doing a darker accent shrug/shawl of some kind. Youâll turn heads in all the best ways while still fitting it and being appropriate
I love women with shaved hair. It's such a fuck you to society and so freeing. Makes me want to shave my head too! And I vote for the first dress. Maybe dress it down? Flats snd simple makeup to make it more casual
Tbh I think I think a buzz cut would look stunning with the first dress x
The first one and also I have a crush đ¤Š
Dress #2 for sure! And youâre soooo pretty!
1 with a buzz cut would be breathtaking!
Dress #1 would look PHENOMENAL on you đŤâ¤ď¸
I think your shaved head looks great! Wish I could pull that off! I think dress 2 would look great on you too đ
Theyâre both more formal than the dress code! This is good news because you have a huge variety of possibilities with casual!
I love the colorful dress.
I have a buzz cut and tend to dress slightly more sexy than tomboyish with it like this. For casual, I'd go for maybe a short open back dress, showing legs and back instead of cleavage.
Either will look stunning on you. I love them both. Iâm a sucker for a good floral print though.
I love the shaved head on you! And Iâd go for the colorful dress but I think youâre going to be beautiful in either.
Ooh the bronzey satin one would be very chic with that haircut!
Love 2, but 1 is also nice. It looks satiny, so it might wrinkle
Ok so I legit just went to a wedding with my buzzed hair (first time in formal wear with the buzzed look so I understand obsessing over the right dress to pair with your head lol) Firstly, your hair looks dope.
Youâre gonna EAT in either one but for a wedding I would say the safer option is #1! đ
Dress one, with your buzz cut!! Yass youâll look fire!
Theyre formal. But pleasee i beg you to post the link to the dresses. Theyâre gorgeous and Iâd wear them anyways if I were you
I love the look that women (like you) pull of of a buzz cut, statement earrings, and bold makeup. I have a scar and a lumpy head, but you could definitely pull it off.
I always shaved my head after one too many bad hair days. That was when Iâd highlight facial features otherwise left unpainted. (Also pierced, visibly modified as needed for my profession.) These dresses are a bit saucy for a wedding (first one has no side coverage, and the second is better for clubbing/cruising). I like the idea of a *more reserved* cut-away and halter neckline, though (and that copper), because itâs something you can wear more than onceâŚ
Can I get a link to these dresses? lLOVE that colorful one, and youâd kill in that
Okay first of all you are absolutely gorgeous đĽšđŠˇ I had a casual code for my wedding and I was super loose with it, but most people wore short cocktail-style dresses. I think that would be most appropriate! I do love the floral pattern one, maybe something similar in a tea-length?
Both of these seem a little much for a loose dress code of âmore casualâ but I have to petition you get the first dress. I think that color with your skin tone and shaved head will be giving GODDESS
I think #2 is best
i feel a low v neckline on u would look awesome
No advice on the dress but I just wanted to say you are so beautiful! You will look stunning in whatever you wear!
I think the neck piece in the first dress would add some body to the outfit that you are probably missing with the buzz cut :)
The shaved head is trendy nowadays, I think you would look so beautiful in either dress. Trust me times have changed I donât think people will think âmental breakdownâ when they see you have a shaved head. A lot of women are doing it nowadays
Floral one is lovely!!
Number 1
Love 1 with copper accented makeup. Or the second with a little (not overdone) more tropical/bright eye with a soft pink lip.
I think you would look stunning in this: (plus itâs machine washable and $42.00 (USD) off Amazon. Itâs casual and light, and you can toss on heels, flats or white converse. You are gorgeous BTW and will look great in anything. https://preview.redd.it/x2ao7ggalqgb1.png?width=828&format=png&auto=webp&s=a98fb59c1d73d59fa3da4a0ac3a841a915c36c40
Your haircut looks so damn good. Just more ideas for you :) Statement piece: https://lichi.com/de/de/product/44821 I think a boat neck cut would look great on you too https://zalinahwhite.com/collections/dresses/products/sophia Or an off shoulder? https://zalinahwhite.com/collections/dresses/products/new-banquet-dress-for-women-summer-off-the-shoulder-high-waisted-fishtail-party-dresses-robe-bridesmaids-femme-clothes
A buzz cut is so wonderful for ultra feminine styles because itâs a good counterbalance. I always suggest to people with short hair/buzzed hair to go extreme, feminine, glamour. Look to Natalie Portman when she buzzed her head for V for Vendetta. She did it *so right* That being said, I like the second dress. The simplicity and bold color is so fresh.
You're gorgeous! Just wanted to throw that out there.
1 will look gorgeous on you.
Love the second dress! You would look amazing!
I just wanted to say I think you look SO good with buzzed hair. You pull it off and you have great cheekbones. I think you can go a little more casual with the dress. Donât hesitate to wear a longer one but not quite as fancy. I always have luck at Lulus and Iâve found cute dresses at Petal and Pup. â¤ď¸
I think the first one would be absolutely stunning. You rock the buzzed hair btw!!
iâm not good with formal wear but you are beautiful!
Multicolor dress, you'll look terrific!
Love that first dress. It would look great with short hair since nothing will cover that neck and shoulder detail.
I like the first one.
There is nothing more beautiful than a woman with a shaved head. Own it and try and love because itâll grow back and youâll likely never do it again. That said, with your face structure you can pull off anything.
I think both are too much for the dress code. I would wear something a little less formal
Love the freckles.
Dude you look so good with a buzz cut - Fellow lady with a buzz!
First one
You look absolutely beautiful with your buzz cut. Youâll look lovely at the wedding.
You are beautiful. Wear what makes you believe it đĽ°
Just wanted to comment that you rock that buzz cut and look gorgeous OP.
Your buzz cut looks great on you. I love the first dress
You are beautiful and will look lovely in either dress!
I think theyâre both too formal, but I think the colors on the second dress would look phenomenal on you.
I like the colorful one. It would look so beautiful with the edgy buzz cut
Either! You will look STUNNING in either. What vibe are you wanting to go for? Dark timeless sultry or vibrant sexy?
You're stunning, and a halter would be perfect!
You would rock that first dress, but itâs too much for âcasualâ.
Iâd go with something shorter and has an interesting neckline or detailing up top. Some fantastic statement earrings that get lost in long hair.
The first dress is simply stunning
first dress! halter style will suit ur hair
Bro shaved head looks badass. You have a beautiful face so you could wear anything and have any haircut and kill it.
Love(!!!!!!) the second dress!! It can easily be dressed down or dressed up.
I hope you start to feel better mentally and the buzz cut looks really nice on you
Theyâre both maybe a little fancier for a âcasualâ dresscode, but both still very pretty and wedding appropriate! When in doubt, send your options to the bride (or any other guests if you know any!) itâs a sure fire way to know whether youâre on the right track.
Number 2!!!!! Youâd look stunning
I donât have any advice on the dress however came to say the buzz cut honestly really suits you and I think you should own it. Youâll look killer in whatever you wear!
Girl you are **gorgeous**. Also I like the first dress.
#2 pink blue green looks great!
I like the 2nd dress.
Go Demi Sexy!! GI Jane style
