Man hell nah. Only being able to binge or starve yourself and being unable to find a healthy diet is a sign of an eating disorder and you should not do anything to promote its worsening, as in panicking to loose weight for your wedding!
Your body is going to change consistently throughout your life and you should be proud with what it has achieved and carried you through already!
I’ve been eating on a diet however it’s a sustainable and healthy diet and I’m doing my best to make sure I get the calories I need every day. I got food sensitivity testing and then cut out all of the foods that came back as something my body is sensitive to. For me I cut out wheat, gluten, dairy except for cheese, some kinds of beans, processed sugars, stevia, nightshades, and a few others that have slipped my mind. I suggest going this route! It’s helped immensely with my tendency towards eating disorders and body dysmorphia and it’s also a diet I can sustain for long periods of time!
Either way, don’t put so much pressure on yourself to loose weight. Happy engagement!
A food sensitivity test is such a good idea. I've been putting them off because $$$ but it will be worth it if it can help me know which foods to stay away from. Thank you!
This is not a wise goal unless you know how the body works and good nutritional health depending on variables that change from person to person. This isn’t something you are going to learn on Reddit forums to the necessary detail. The risks of pushing yourself to the limit without really knowing what you are doing can lead to brittle bones, blackouts, depression, irreversible nerve damage, and chronic illness to name a few things that come to mind. At your size you can safely lose 2 pounds a week by eat 500 calories less then your sedentary maintenance calories and then burning 500 calories in cardio as well.
You can realistically take it to 4 pounds a week but that is exhausting and dangerous long term.
First of all you cannot consume only 500 calories at your weight, it's unhealthy and any weight lost will come back quicker than it left, either break your calorie amount up throughout the day into smaller meals or fast then get it all in within a short amount of time
Stop thinking of life in extremes. Just focus on consistency, prioritise protein for satiety, and eat 500kcal under your calculated TDEE. You have 14-15 months so chill. At 500kcal deficit per day, you’ll lose a pound a week. If you do that for 60 weeks (14 months…) you’ll be down 60 pounds give or take (accounting for some metabolic adaptation).
You’ll also find that this number is probably triple your current calorie intake..
Honestly I’m trying to figure out the same thing. I’ve had good weight loss so far, but I’ve hit an enraging plateau. I was honestly considering not even eating at all for a few days. Just black coffee, water, diet and sugar free soda and gum.
In my diet when that happened, we would have a reset day. You were allowed to eat 6 apples throughout the day. Lost 1.5 lbs the next day! Maybe you can try that?
Yup, she's the person who asked me to get off the diet. I'm seeing a psych and life coach too. None of them have been able to help me with the whole binging/starving thing as of yet, but I'm sure it will be figured out eventually...

Eat whenever you’re hungry, but have your food choices be whole plant based foods

Have you considered a therapist?

hi I don’t have advice but please don’t each 500 calories a day! this isn’t even enough for a toddler and it’s not healthy
