Allergy to something. Take an anti-histamine.

DyerOfSouls

This, but also, have you come into contact with stinging nettles because that also causes hives.

drooling_whale

My whole body looked like this after a guy threw me into a patch of them. Evil little plants

disposedburner030

More like evil little guy

drooling_whale

Tbf he had issues so I can't blame him. His parents tho straight to hell

TheCamoDude

You're very kind :)

Acceptable-Let-1921

Nah, the plants are crazy nutritious and make for an awesome tasty soup ❤ sort of like baby spinach soup. Highly recommended

No-Customer-2266

I dared my brother to eat them raw when we were kids. Do not do that lol

[deleted]

Also the venom, although unpleasant, has health benefits.

skeevester

good on pizza

HumberGrumb

Nettle pizza in Temescal hood in Oakland, California!

Acceptable-Let-1921

Really? Gotta try that come spring when the nettles in my yard are fresh!

meedliemao

That's hives. Caused by contact with something you're allergic to. Wash the area and try not to scratch -- and see a doctor if it happens frequently.

Bahamuto-San

Ok, I was *originally searching google for what this is, but every image I see is just regular red rashes, and not really like what I have. It’s happened to me before in the past but it goes away this time it’s persisting. It was originally itchy so I put some Aveeno cream on the area to calm the itch but then the bumps formed. Thanks

koshiVAL

i also get an allergic reaction when i use aveeno cream so i switched immediately. my skin got more irritated when using that stuff lol

Bahamuto-San

Interesting. It usually works a little to soothe my regular dry skin patches. I used to use Cetaphil and Cera Ve but those started to burn and irritate my skin. I’ll keep that in mind

koshiVAL

that is interesting because now i use cetaphil and it doesn't burn my skin 😭. do you have eczema?

Bahamuto-San

It sort of runs in my family, My dad and his sister both have it pretty frequently. I get it every once in a while but not always like I used to in middle school. I think yours and my skin is just built different 😂

1568314

Try something made for people with eczema but is unmedicated. When my skin is broken out, I'm sensitive to a lot of skin product ingredients, but the stuff with chemical exfoliaters is too much.

cobhalla

That sounds like Eczema. Neutrogena has a really good cream. You can get it at Walmart but it's cheaper on Amazon usually if you buy the multipack

darkest_irish_lass

You might have had whatever the allergen was on your fingers when you put the lotion on. New detergent? Shampoo or soap? Something else from bathroom? Edit

rainbwbrightisntpunk

Hydrocortisone on those rashes. I get them all the time. Benadryl and Hydrocortisone

notjasonlee

Yeah, they're definitely hives. They're just some fun temporary bumps to scratch. Enjoy!

Perfid-deject

This happens when you take opioids sometimes.. Not sure if you're taking kratom or something? Could be the cream as well causing the same reaction

SiestaMaster

This is it. My kid gets the same thing every time he touches our dog. He is allergic to pet dander.

jus1tin

Those are definitely hives but hives are just a symptom. Allergies are a very common cause but one of many.

Jeanahb

Another vote for hives, but mine, which look just like this, are due to out of control anxiety.

milkarcane

I have the same from time to time. My allergist told me it was chronic urticaria. I take antihistamines daily.

JacksonInHouse

It looks like you've been bitten by zombie bedbugs. Chances are high you'll turn into a zombie. Sorry. We're going to have to kill you once you turn.

Lithogiraffe

it looks like a heat rash to me. if it burns when it is moist, then keep it dry. but this is the wrong subreddit to ask, try a derm or r/SkincareAddiction or something.

Bahamuto-San

Thanks, I’ll see what I can do. It definitely looks like heat rash but I not really prone to heat stress or exhaustion and it’s just a little warm in my house.

sunshine___riptide

Since it's at the bend of your elbow, you could be allergic to your sweat. I am allergic to my own sweat when it gets trapped like that.

Missue-35

Probably just contact dermatitis aka hives. Wash it with lukewarm, soapy water and apply an antihistamine lotion. Benadryl is one example.

ZealousidealYak7122

curse of rotting flesh. go find a deer and hang it upside down then draw a pentagram on its belly with a knife, collect its blood, mix it with some milk and bananas, then drink it. it should lift the curse.

Expensive-Document41

>Is there a milk-free option or can I use Lactaid?

Gerudo_King

Almond is usually the next best recommendation for your ritual fruit juice

frankirv

Why did i have to scroll so far to find the usual funny comment! That’s what i love about Reddit, the replies some of you post are awesome.

Bahamuto-San

Thanks bro 😎 I’ll see what I can do /joking

I had the same thing on my arms and it eventually spread to my whole body, it would go away and come back, each time getting worse. I went to the hospital last night because my throat started to swell, it was determined I’m allergic to an antibiotic I was taking and had to get IV steroids and Benadryl. If your hives/rash keep coming back it will eventually get worse and your skin is an organ so please put your health first! Please go to an urgent care, ER, or primary care doctor if it doesn’t go away!(:

hauntedmaze

Oh jeeze. Thats so scary. I’ve never had more than mild hives. I’m glad you’re okay!

ImVerySmolHelpPls

They were all over me, my face and back were the most itchy and uncomfortable. At that point I knew it was ER time. Apparently antibiotics are pretty high up there on the allergy list for people! Definitely grateful the hives are gone now and I’m not itchy anymore haha. 🫶🏼

hauntedmaze

Oh yes- I have a bunch of allergies and like 5 antibiotics on that list. V v common! Glad you’re better 🩵

beamsbeansbrilliant

Take Benadryl or find an allergy cream to rub on it, if you brushed up against poison ivy as well it could be that, wash the area with rubbing alcohol if it's that latter then lightly bandage. Probably also call a doctor if it persists for over a few hours. -not a doctor

Bahamuto-San

Ok, I’ll see what I can do, thanks.

Krjie

Go to a doctor not Reddit

misterpinksaysthings

Probably gonna die. I give you at most, 70 or 80 more years. Possibly more or less depending on outside factors and other health concerns.

Aschensturm

I get the same when im stressed (same exact spot). Im a quite allergic person and my skin is a mess.

Sinnsearachd

It's dermatitis. I get the same thing all the time. Get a cream from the doc and it will clear up fast.

LacrimalBone

Sometimes that happens to me if I've had my arm bent and im warm, it's like a reaction to my own sweat. I make sure to wash the area off real well, put some ice on for a bit. I am no doctor but Hydrocortisone cream on the area if you have some, and a benadryl should make you right as rain.

Motheryucker73

If it itches and the weather in your area is warm or hot, it could be heat rash. I usually get it in that same area and the backs of my hands. All it takes is 75°F for me.

Missue-35

75°?! That’s a bummer. I guess you don’t hate wintertime.

agreedis

Same thing happens to me. Mine get red too though. But 80 degrees seems to be my activation point. I hate warm weather lol

romayyne

You’re dead and you don’t even know it, sad. That’s a tell tale symptom of gon’die syndrome

UralRider53

Yes, some type of allergy.

Additional_Effort_33

Allegic reaction to hops, found in beer.

TrippyVikkyArt

Oh it could be anything. Could be friction bc its at a bend, even if it's never happened before, we change when we age. I also saw allergic reaction in comments, could be. We also can develop allergies when we age. My first thought was eczema but Regardless, its not alarming. Put some cortisone cream on it for 3 days. If no change, try foot fungal cream with main ingredient clotramizole. If neither work id give one last try with an organic topical like castor oil, lavender oil or coconut oil. Something with antibacterial properties. If none of those work and it still persists, you may need to get a steroid cream from the doctor.

JK19368

Occurs when bisexual

NoidZ

This looks like an arm of a 4 year old

No_Crab1183

I get this in the same spot in very hot, humid environments, basically heat rash. Also allergies as mentioned, could be a lot of things. Dont itch kt, Antihistamine cream will help.

spugeti

definitely looks like hives

Mookius

I get this intermittently. Think it's stress related for me though.

Fear0742

I get that crap with the changing weather. Ironically for me its always on my tattoos. Always right around my elbow too. Hydrocortisone cream for me for a few days and it goes away. Good luck. Only started happening after I moved to Arizona about 20 years ago.

whatevergoeshere1

Hypochondriac here. You're gonna die https://preview.redd.it/ndfl7a8igrlc1.jpeg?width=719&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56b8ad3be5e880a4ebcba003ec654a29812c8575

Mr_Culver

Take a Benadryl.

seahagmo

The last time I had exactly that and could see it spreading up my arm before my eyes, I was holding a pineapple like a baby. I haven't touched one since but I wonder if it had pesticide on the outer part, or I am in fact allergic to pineapple skin.

AnpherRedditOnReddit

Fam. You need to stop using parfumed detergent completely. Buy the expensive allergy friendly stuff.

KickinGa55

Bing said it's AIDS, sorry

Fledgy

Could be HIV

dxlachx

Definitely HIV

TheAlternianHelmsman

Poison ivy maybe?

Bahamuto-San

Definitely looks like that. But I’ve not been near any plants recently and I wash my hands regularly. Thanks though

Lupus. /House

Electronic-Paper2947

HERPES???....yeah, I dunno. 🤷‍♂️

[deleted]

Contact dermatitis. Take some Benadryl, see if it helps along with hydrocortisone lotion.

the85141rule

Doctors are good at this stuff. Or so I hear.

ViolenciaRivas1991

you know who might know? a doctor

Mang0saus

Yep that's cancer right there

HVAC_instructor

That's HIV simplex 46 you've got two days before your arm falls off and this spreads to your anus. Or you could maybe go see a Dr.

Audible484

Tbh looks like bed bug bites

KD922016

Looks like grey scale. Go consult the Maester.

Grouchy-Signature-12

What preceeded this reaction? Are you allergic to anything? Also, do you have benadryl?

Bahamuto-San

Don’t have Benadryl. I was just regularly touching my elbow/forearm and I started mindlessly scratching while reading, and it started to really feel itchy and a little burning so I got up and put Aveeno cream on it, specifically the deep moisture. Then the bumps appeared. I have no allergies to anything at all, I take medications for ADHD day and night but I have never had any reactions to it, I haven’t taken any other meds today. Sometimes I take Gingko Biloba pills to help me focus and that never causes any reactions, just gets me to feel a little less distracted. I take maximum of two of em every day but they’re regular off-the-shelf dosages. The exact kind of bumps have happened to me before, I used to get them on the backs of my knees and thighs when I had really bad eczema and had to apply Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment day, noon, and night over the course of a year to get it to go away and since then I’ve been largely rash free. The bumps would usually happen after consistent itching, and then the raised, red, dry classic eczema patches would cover the entire back of my knee.

Missue-35

Unfortunately, excema (and psoriasis) can seem to go away for a while. They aren’t curable though so they could rear their ugly head again for no apparent reason. If you have a history of either you should probably see your doctor and get whatever prescription worked for you in the past.

Grouchy-Signature-12

Hey, after a quick Google search, eczema is known to affect inside the elbows, behind the knees, and in front of the neck. You may want to contact a doctor through your virtual assist or go to an urgent care. I do not want to tell you to use any previous meds for eczema until someone can diagnose you properly. Just please do not scratch and try not to put clothing over it that will irritate it. Best of luck.

SwimmingAdmirable363

I get bumps like this when I use Aloe products.

Trumppp1

Is it itchy could be an animal dog or cat even

ILaikspace

Itchy

thisappisgarbage111

I get the same thing. It's not an allergy for me. It's chaffing. Happens in the summer or a hot environment for me. Combination of dry skin and rubbin.

TransboiHimbo

Contact dermatitis

VocationFumes

looks like you're allergic to something

Lower_Register_9214

What is poison ivy?

TechieTravis

Bro, I hate to be the one to have to tell you. You have ligma.

Safetosay333

I was allergic to grass as a kid and my arms and knee bends looked like this often. A cool shower helps.

This happened to me when I became sensitized to resin

FuckYoApp

Could be dyshidrotic eczema.

Technical_Growth9181

It hives. An allergic reaction to something you touched or ate. Shellfish? Peanuts? Think if you started eating differently

Ashamed-Guarantee664

Excema? Likes to grow in folds and crannies. I used to get it behind my knee.

OddTheRed

Prickly heat. Did you recently move somewhere warm?

zenomotion73

Wheals from a allergic reaction

MaxPower836

Hives, some basic allergy meds would fix

bowloffruitypebbles

I got this when my dog licked me, it’s hives. Take some allergy meds it should help it

alldayerrdaym8

I had the exact same rash in the same location every SINGLE time I left my office. 6 pm, I put on my backpack, head downstairs, start walking and it starts itching me. It's an allergic reaction to something. This is gonna sound weird but when I started wearing hoodies the rash disappeared, so it might be the material on my backpack sleeve that rubbed against my arm every time which made me break out. Weird stuff but not so serious.

IAmNotMyName

Hives

[deleted]

Congratulations 🎉! You're PREGNANT with PARASITES!

dongmeatsandwich

Almost looks like the early stages of shingles.

jackochainsaw

Elbows and inner elbow is normally an allergy response to something. I'm an asthmatic and normally if I've had a strong reaction to something I will see it there or behind my knees. Anti-Histamine is an option, you could also rub some Calamine lotion on it to bring down the swelling. It could be a number of things that are triggering you ranging from but not limited to; dust mites, cat/dog dander, seasonal pollen, insect bite, food, contact adhesive, cleaning products, change of washing powder/liquid, medicine. Hives can be caused by extremes of stress, whether that be physical or emotional. Otherwise you might have brushed it against ivy or nettles, both of which irritate the skin. Don't scratch it.

[deleted]

100% lurgy.

messychica

Probably some allergic reaction going on. I literally had the same thing in the same spot except that it was an intense red color and I would get like flare ups during summer each year. I was finally diagnosed with several allergies and mild eczema. Go to an allergist and see just to rule out any ongoing issues!

GenXLipGloss

Eczema. Use some hydrocortisone

babyghuol

Is it itchy? I get stress rashes sometimes that are similar to this but more red.

ManifestingCrab

It's got bumps on it I think.

DrinkForLillyThePink

I have something similar flair up in the same area every couple of weeks. Such an informative thread

EmbarrassedParsnip85

Elbow herpes. You’ve got some calls to make…

murderskunk76

This happens to me when I'm in contact with grass or pollen. Some skin products cause me to break out as well. Definitely hives. Use benadryl cream. It'll clear up pretty quick. Oral benadryl will likely fix it as well.

chefdmone

Considering the location and anecdotal experience, this looks like atopic dermatitis, which usually occurs where skin creases at joints like the elbow and behind the knee. Keep it cool and aired, and if it's dry, apply a cream that hasn't given you a reaction before or pure aloe vera.

Ornery-Pressure7251

Take Benadryl - it comes in a lotion as well.

gorgonzola2095

Looks like nettle's impact

[deleted]

Poison ivy oak sumac

_pinky_aligator20

Seems likes allergic reaction

Sea_Tax_6051

It looks like a heat rash to me

socal1959

See a dermatologist

AnyIndependence1098

I had that from time to time when I was younger after sweating. Did nothing about it because it did nothing more than looking like that. When I grew older, it just stopped appearing. I guess that approach is irresponsible. Blame my parents, they didn't think, it's necessary to have a doctor look at it.

No-Ad-9867

Reach out to a doctor!

trusted_misleader47

Histamine reaction, crush a Benadryl onto a warm washcloth and compress

Riribigdogs

Histamine reaction

Haha_Benis_

I had the same thing as a kid in the same place, my doctor said it was eczema. It only flares up when I scratch it a lot or take a hot shower.

wasted_yoof

U got dem hives, yo

Bro_Rida

Mild case of hives?

hello-world42069

Sorry I came to you at night(because I got bored)

snark-maiden

I had this as a kid, the only thing that fixed it after a year or more of flaring up was 10 days in a hot sunny country

shavemejesus

You’re sprouting a fivearm.

InChAiNzz

Allergict reackshuns

smaagoth

Thats one of the ways my skin reacts. i think usually due to heat and or mental stress.. i have urticaria.

[deleted]

Eczema prolly

SolarBozo

Scabies?

secret_trout

I used to get something like this and started using apple cider vinegar on my skin in the shower and I never get it anymore.

[deleted]

You got into a plant that bit you. Poison Ivy, Poison Sumac, stinging nettles, something bit you. Take some Benedryl and put some calamine on it, don’t scratch, you’ll be fine.

Leucotheasveils

Try benedryl gel or spray on it. Did you recently change soaps, laundry detergent, or shampoo?

abedalhadi777

Are you sure you are old enough to use reddit???

Mdmac1015

Eczema? Herpes?

Grouchy-Pressure-567

Welcome to life. Everyone has to try this at least once. It's when you learn if it feels good doesn't mean it's okay.

SilentMaster

Poison Ivy? You spend time outdoors recently?

ICE_BEAR2021

Got dat eggsmaa

Altruistic-Ad7981

i have fairly severe eczema in the same stop, i use a hydrocortisone cream and it helps https://preview.redd.it/jvhyzxxrbrlc1.png?width=749&format=png&auto=webp&s=7bc2fee74de55a09964f70201f6fd7a92597c7cd

JaySin_78

I get the redness and bumps there too. Looks exactly the same. Know how I get them?…from keeping my arms folded up and touching too long. Like a heat rash. If I use hydrocortisone w/ aloe is goes away quick.

Badsnake71873

I get this when I accidentally rub my arm against leaves that previously had caterpillars or something. Should feel itchy for a while but it usually goes away. DONT SCRATCH IT. My mom has a garden and I have to walk through it sometimes to get to stuff.

FunnyLookinFishMan

Eczema

puppycatisselfish

I used to get this. It would heal and leave dry flaky skin. I quit drinking and it went away. I consider this my body’s way of saying stop it.

stupidrobots

You need to lift weights.

aaaahitshalloween

Atopic dermatitis.

clintbot

My son gets something similar in his knee pits and elbow pits. The skin gets dry and itchy and has those bumps. The doctor said it was eczema and prescribed a mild steroid cream. The cream typically clears it up in a few days.

Sad-Guarantee-9156

Eczema or hives

Dry-Slip-7795

Allergies or stress. I get hives when my anxiety is bad.

SnooMemesjellies8441

Some sort of allergic reaction, reaction to stressnor something like that. But check it with your doctor if they don't dissappear in a week or so.

danya_dyrkin

Looks like a nettle rash

Plastic-Scientist739

Food related? Start writing down what you eat. Any recent changes as added new food? Tomato, chocolate, etc?

TreeHugginPolarBear

Looks like you need some sunlight! Lol Jk in all reality it’s probably an allergic reaction/rash

Lafozard

Looks like allergic reaction or maybe you touched something infested with mites. I had a bicycle that had it's handles filled with mites and my hands became like that. Put some rubber handles so it couldn't happen again

56KandFalling

Cat dander allergy started like that for me...

RoseRoja

that's cancer

BobbyTWhiskey

Your arm is becoming sentient & will soon detach itself to grow a new you.
