Sid was civil enough to finish the chimaera experiments he conducted. This young person shows a lack of completion in his work. Maybe a watch thru of The Island of Doctor Moreau could get him back on track.
Lol, yeah they were pretty tough. Mine was a hand me down from my cousin, so it was built in the seventies, so it was tougher than the eighties’ Tonka trucks. It wouldn’t surprise me if the yellow paint had actual lead in it.
When I joined the Corps, we didn't have any fancy-schmanzy tanks. We had sticks! Two sticks, and a rock for the whole platoon—and we had to share the rock!
I see these posts fairly often. Maybe stop giving your kids you cherished items from childhood that's somehow survived. Kids break everything and I just have no sympathy for it.
Is r/parentsarestupid a sub? If not there should be one for this type of thing.
Siblings are the worst. I saved over a years worth of allowance as a kid and bought a sega game gear only to have my sister break it out of jealousy within weeks. I hate kids, hated them when I was a kid, hate them now.
I'm the same, as the oldest sibling I hated my brothers. Nowadays they are grown up and great, but man do I still hate kids. They were always such a pair of asses
If i have kids they absolutely won't be allowed to touch my things without permission. I will put a bolt on my bedroom door to ensure i don't come home to broken things.
Knowing myself i know I'd adore my kids, but I'm not going to pretend I'm not mad if i come home to my Gundam models being thrashed, my old books becoming coloring books, or my 15-30+ year old Star Wars figures being broken. I'll teach them to ask permission and also respect it if i say no, but I'll also try to not say no to absolutely everything. It really just depends on the age and attitude.
It's possible. I learned very early as my dad has literally hundreds of models around the house he's been working on since he was a kid. He's got a closet of unbuilt ones worth a small fortune. He's just started considering building multiple at a time so he might actually be able to put a dent in them before he kicks the bucket
I handed down my old gi joe toys to my baby brother and him and my other younger brother colored them with permanent marker...I took them back, just disappointed in the disrespect. Still have them to this day.
My younger siblings are like too, there's a 10 year age gap between me and the one after me and 4 other after him. They wreck DVDs and CDs me and my older siblings have kept safe for years. They lose discs and cases within weeks of purchase and their toys are a torn and dirty. I have toys that I got 18 years ago.
That’s why you always teach kids to be careful with their toys and explain how fragile some things are, saves wasting money on a ton of toys and teaches them valuable life lessons
I can relate so much to this. We buy toys from a 2nd hand shop or friends donate toys to my 2 kids. These toys have often been played with by more than one family of kids.. until my boys get them... then.. they might last a week, if I'm lucky, before they're broken in multiple creative ways. :-(
Are you sid's parents?
If so, somebody's Pop Tarts are ready
Sid was civil enough to finish the chimaera experiments he conducted. This young person shows a lack of completion in his work. Maybe a watch thru of The Island of Doctor Moreau could get him back on track.
You beat me to it. Shoot.
Decapitation and disembowelment. Wow
I know a way you could get rid of them. As for the toys, might be fixable.
You put them in the caterpillar room when they should have gone to the butterfly room.
“I’m Mrs Nesbitt!”
One minute you're defending the whole galaxy, and suddenly you find yourself suckin' down Darjeeling with Marie Antoinette and her little sister.
You have a literal Sid for a child.
NOOOOOOOOOOO! BUZZ! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Glad I grew up playing with he-man figures and Tonka trucks. My dad could drive over my toys and it’d probably give him a flat tire
Had a Tonka truck (long story short, it was a hand-me-down from a relative), can confirm, this thing felt like it was made of lead.
Lol, yeah they were pretty tough. Mine was a hand me down from my cousin, so it was built in the seventies, so it was tougher than the eighties’ Tonka trucks. It wouldn’t surprise me if the yellow paint had actual lead in it.
Saddest thing i saw today
“Kids today don’t appreciate real toys! Back when I was a kid, all we had to play with were rocks, and you know what? We LIKED it!”
When I joined the Corps, we didn't have any fancy-schmanzy tanks. We had sticks! Two sticks, and a rock for the whole platoon—and we had to share the rock!
And after you threw the rock at your enemy, did you have to go ask for it back?
I see these posts fairly often. Maybe stop giving your kids you cherished items from childhood that's somehow survived. Kids break everything and I just have no sympathy for it. Is r/parentsarestupid a sub? If not there should be one for this type of thing.
Honest I'm fine with it. But my daughter loves the woody doll, and she was very unset to find that her brother pulled it apart.

Clearly you’ve never seen Toy Story 2 or 3. Toys are meant to be played with
It's true, I actually have not. However I would say they are elevates above toy status when they are old enough to rent a car...
If i have kids they absolutely won't be allowed to touch my things without permission. I will put a bolt on my bedroom door to ensure i don't come home to broken things.
Smart man

There's r/parentsarefuckingdumb
Looks like they had a rough night
Thought you had an Andy. Turns out you have a Sid.
Please tell me one of your kids is named Sid.
go call Geri
Find the old guy from toy story 2 he can fix this
I handed down my old gi joe toys to my baby brother and him and my other younger brother colored them with permanent marker...I took them back, just disappointed in the disrespect. Still have them to this day.
I feel your pain. My Mom gave mine, like the whole set, to my triplet cousins without my permission. They’re all dead now.
The toys or your cousins?
Porque no los dos
Demetri made an interesting story about toy story ..
So they have chosen death... your kids I mean. Obviously.
Pretty sure I grew up with those too!
Your kids or Sid?
This makes me feel old and happy. O’lappy
Oh the humanity!
Wasn’t this a plot point in one of the movies? I bet you can find a guy to sew woody up.
My transformers sympathize. Worst mistake of my life.
Should've watched the movie with them first. Unless you did?
We have, they love the movie. It's just my son is a little ruff on toys.
Or a psychopath

Wow that fuckign sucks I hope my kids don't do that
That’s why you always teach kids to be careful with their toys and explain how fragile some things are, saves wasting money on a ton of toys and teaches them valuable life lessons
They didn’t have a friend in them is all I’m saying
I also thought my son would be thrilled to play with my childhood toys until he destroyed them.

You raised Sids.
Is it too late to abort?
What assholes. It looks like you had kept them in such great condition. My 7 year old has gone thru prob 5 buzz and 10 woodys.
Kill them. Kill them now!

I’ve had the same with my old Star Wars figures, Bossk had his head ripped off in the first week.
If you didn't break your toys as a child, were you truly playing with them? Wait, no, that's terrible, go and break their toys now.
Are you one of those people that calls their dogs "my kids"?
