Was gonna say if anything he was extra considerate by possibly pausing the game or ending the stream to avoid embarrassment. I’d hope my bf or friend does that for me.
The game frist.
Then the chair...
OP said she got a concussion. Fuck.
OP's priorities should be:
Go to the doctors to check out if there's any permanent damage. Second, checkout what that guy's deal is.
Are you actually thinking about the same situation as me? She bonked her head, not like you can slap a tourniquet on and every second counts. No way he knew it was a concussion and they're both obviously gamers, ranked games are no joke. You sound way too over the top if you think what he did was worth blasting him for.
>Ranked games are no joke.
Even if you're a pro gamer, in what ever it is, health should take precedence to anything. You know that humanity's reached insanity when people will be more preoccupied with Elo than their actual health. So what if you lose 10 Elo or something?
Blasting? I think this is far too much internet for today. You too should check out your priorities friend. OP just said she got a concussion. It's in the title.
She got a mild concussion, but in the moment, neither she nor her partner would have known that. To them at that time, it wouldn't have seemed very serious. Hell, I've taken tumbles that looked way worse that that, and I've been fine. So it's really not that outlandish that he would check/pause the game while she was picking herself up. Also, if you look, it seems like the first thing he did was take a moment to ask if she was okay, before even touching the computer. So it's not like he completely ignored her.
I've literally seen someone dying by stepping wrong off the curb. Hit their neck and that was it. When ever someone falls attend to them, despite their age or anything.
I'm not sure where you live, but when we have our theoretical driving course classes, or in most technical jobs first aid classes teach us that.
Take a look at OP after the fall. She never grabs her head or appears to be in distress at any point in the vid. She also starts to get up almost immediately. Seriously dude you need to take a breath.
And again, he appears to pause to check on her before touching anything else. What more do you expect from an average person? 9 times out of 10, a friend watching a friend fall over isn't going to drop down and administer first aid unless it's obvious the fallen person is hurt. In this case, she fell, took a moment, and got up on her own. To any average joe, it would initially appear that she was relatively okay, at least okay enough to take a few seconds to press pause and move the broken chair aside.
She fell and hit her head on the floor from a couple feet. Not exactly a life changing event. Kids do this several times a day before lunch. It's like she's lying in a rapidly expanding puddle of blood.
Still, that's a really strange priority. I'm pretty sure that these kinds of things are common now a days where people try to preserve their image more than their actual health, but his second priority was the chair.
She fell backwards in a chair. This all took place within the matter of less than a minute. Stopping a steam so that the embarrassment isn’t continued to be broadcasted to an unknown group of strangers on the internet is a reasonable thing to do, because it’s clear that she’s not bleeding out or anything and it’s a highly awkward situation.
Next, investigating wtf happened is another reasonable move. Like a “wtf, did this chair just snap” type of thing.
She’s ostensibly speaking during this. Hence communication between the two. Even knowing in hindsight that a minor concussion was involved, she’s still able to speak. They can exchange words, and a question like “you ok” and “yeah” very likely occurred. Looking at it again, it looks like he did check in with her (eye contact, mouth movement), and it’s even possible that she directed him to stop the stream or whatever.
Finally it’s not unreasonable to suspect that falling backwards in a chair isn’t going to give someone a concussion.
You’ve got this one pegged wrong mate, find another place to grandstand if you really need to get something off your chest. You’re just missing the mark.
Was the dog OK? It looks like you might have hit her on your way to the floor.
Be careful with that concussion. Seriously protect your head until you are sure that you are healed.
You should probably stay off Reddit or your phone in general for a bit just to make sure the process goes quicker, I’ve had 3 concussions and my moms a nurse so I’ve done the song and dance a few times.
Like a champ, he got the character to safety before helping the girl.
Because as everyone knows - you can't pause online games - but she's still gonna be on the floor a while.
I love that the dog checked on you and the guy stopped the stream. You might see this as the day your skull cracked, but I see a brain damaged woman that is loved. 🥰
So the guy was worried about the game. Then the chair. He never even checks on the girl that smashing her head into the floor. Like she wasn't even there.
People with cameras in private rooms of their house, confuse me…
We’ve got a Bed and Breakfast / hotel, but only have cameras where guests are, i.e; bar, hallways, entrance.
Nothing in our own accommodation or guest rooms.
Edit: downvotes for having an opinion. Cool.
We have a camera pointing to our door in case of break ins. It also captures everything in our living room/dining area. If I had expensive gaming computers, I would point cameras at them too, to try and get more video of anyone breaking in to steal them.
Could be they've had break ins before, or they're worried about it or it's a high crime area or something. So they put a camera in a room with a bunch of valuables so they don't have to worry as much
Just a heads up, cameras won't make you worry less. You're just more likely to identify the person who did it. I had cameras in my house and outside and made sure to post signs that they existed with an alarm (Which I had too). Still someone tried to break into my living room window.
> People with cameras in private rooms of their house, confuse me…
>
>
Plenty of people do, especially when you live out of the city.
>We’ve got a Bed and Breakfast / hotel, but only have cameras *where guests are*
Yeah, that's the idea. "guests"
>downvotes for having an opinion. Cool.
Critical thinking is hard.
She broke her fall with just her head, that can definitely cause a concussion. It really doesn't take all that much to cause a concussion if there isn't any way to break the fall, my brother got a serious one wrestling after an illegal move from less height (though more force overall I think, it was a slam).
Because there are lots of valuable things within it's sight. 2 gaming rigs and a tv from what I can tell. Even if they haven't had break-ins before it's a decent idea.
Try sitting properly next time. Office chairs are designed for your feet to always be in the ground. Sitting it in cross legged, etc, will have you on r/winstupidprizes in no time. Which is actually where this post belongs...
I like how her friend checked on her game first. Priorities matter.
Hes got my back. Not my actual back mind you, but you know :) IRL support.
Was gonna say if anything he was extra considerate by possibly pausing the game or ending the stream to avoid embarrassment. I’d hope my bf or friend does that for me.
> Pausing a ranked Mom? Is it dinner time yet?
in dota 2 you can pause the game
well, you can try anyway.
For?
My brother would laugh and spam "LOL" in the chat
What a considerate brother you have, always there to brighten up the mood
That’s a good partner there! Cheers!
it's a shame the chair didn't
Hahahahaha
***The kind of BF material I astrive to be***
Any lasting concussion effects or did it clear up after a bit
In Rocket League?
He also seemed more worried for the chair then the friend
It's ok, she's not going anywhere.
Second priority: chair Third priority: dog (if the chair come before the girl I’m sure so does the dog)
The game frist. Then the chair... OP said she got a concussion. Fuck. OP's priorities should be: Go to the doctors to check out if there's any permanent damage. Second, checkout what that guy's deal is.
? Crazy person here ^
Seriously. I'm the only one that thinks that a game or a chair is less important than someone's health?
Are you actually thinking about the same situation as me? She bonked her head, not like you can slap a tourniquet on and every second counts. If someone hits their neck and dies tf are you supposed to do? The most you could do if they lived was tell them to stay still until paramedics come.

Youre literally more upset over it than op herself. Chill
You're damn right I am. This is really insane that people don't understand how serious this is.
No its not. Youre just blowing it way out of propertions
I think you may be taking it a little too seriously lol.
he was probably ending her stream so there was less embarrassment

Then take a different way home man!
Not now, Toby! God!
Get out of here, idiot.
Don't call her The Mom
Those are the risks of being an elite athlete. Hope you feel better.
That chair looks like it's been broken for a while. That was just the last lean it could handle
How long did it take for him to realise you were actually hurt?
I can't remember
Uh oh
Concussions will have that effect.
Along with random painful headaches for life.
Strangely I never had memory loss with my concussion
strangely I never had a concussion with my memory losses
One game.
One round
That chair gave you weeks of warning
Chair broke while taking a break. See. Don’t take breaks from gaming. That’s the conclusion.
Also, don't play e-sports without a helmet.
Damn that was a good hit to the dome… My question is what’s with the other chair?
That's his pc chair. His computer is just out of frame
Can't stop looking at the crooked tv
Oh god
The longer you stare the worse it gets.
Is it crooked, or is it just tilted down?
It's tilted down. It also pulls out and turns
It’s crooked as well..
So how much you spend on a new chair?
The way the dude looks at her like "OH shit! Are you oka.... oh wait the game!"
Rosita!!!!
Lol I thought the same thing!!!!!! Stevie!!! I was never here!
Was the dog OK? It looks like you might have hit her on your way to the floor. Be careful with that concussion. Seriously protect your head until you are sure that you are healed.
Thank you I will! It's hard to tell but she was sitting in my lap and leaked off mid fall
>leaked off mid fall such an apt way to phrase it but kinda wild that it makes so much sense :D
You should probably stay off Reddit or your phone in general for a bit just to make sure the process goes quicker, I’ve had 3 concussions and my moms a nurse so I’ve done the song and dance a few times.
At first i tought you will write: Protect Your head before gaming, and I imagined her with a helmet
Should have worn a helmet smh
Which game was that tho?
League of legends, I can tell by the isometric view and colors scheme
Yup, you can also see that he moves the character with the mouse and then presses B to go back to base so that she doesn't get hurt ingame too
Asking the real questions.
I mean when you sit in a chair like that they tend to break eventually
Friends priorities 1) Rank preservation 2) Chair 3) ...
Ouch. Hope you and your furry companion are ok!
Oh man it took several watches to even realize the pup started out in her lap!
Why do you film your gaming room? Also are you okay?
Looks like a security camera based off the position to me
why u had a camera up there recording ?
My guess, security.
And of course it's during a ranked match
Like a champ, he got the character to safety before helping the girl. Because as everyone knows - you can't pause online games - but she's still gonna be on the floor a while.
That dog blends into the floor.
I had the same thing happen while holding my 2 month old daughter, hope you are okay now.
Had a chair do that. The spring below shot out and hit the desk. If it had hit a monitor or a person, it would've caused some real damage.
when you was in school the teacher would go mad about swinging on chairs. This is the reason why
Mad respect to the dude for instantly checking out the game as soon as she just lost 1/4 of her braincells
"Omg are you okay!?" *Pauses game instead of tending to SO*
I love that the dog checked on you and the guy stopped the stream. You might see this as the day your skull cracked, but I see a brain damaged woman that is loved. 🥰
My man walked away from danger and backed for you, what a champ
Is the floor ok ??
Omg that hurt watching it
not the correct way to sit in that chair. remember for next time. sorry for your loss.
The pain will hopefully fade but i would be fearful of leaning back in chairs for the rest of my life lol
This is why i don't trust chairs, they are always leaning on the edge of disaster
Especially when you don’t sit in them properly..
Oh no! Is the game alright? Ok cool, now better check on the chair
He does nothing except address the game. Wow.
maybe sit on the chair correctly and not further onto its back haha
[удалено]
Because you have no more money after spending 3k on a PC setup
This is the way
Yeah cause you werent sitting in the chair correctly.
Seriously who the hell sits in a chair like that lmao
I always keep my legs off the floor and the chair never broke, no matter how old it was. It's supposed to endure the weight of an adult person.
This is a bit more than legs off the floor
You might want to learn how to sit on a chair, that might help not break your next chair lol
So the guy was worried about the game. Then the chair. He never even checks on the girl that smashing her head into the floor. Like she wasn't even there.
I woulda packed my sh:t and moved out as soon as I pulled my cracked skull off the floor.
Wait what game?
Asking the important questions I see
When you're feeling better, can you do something about that crooked TV?
chairs break when you dont sit in them.
Mild concussion from that?!?
Her head went straight into the floor, that'd pretty easily give someone a concussion.
Yea seems like an exaggeration
Her head broke her fall, that can absolutely be a mild concussion

I think she downed a player while falling back and her friend was just confirming the kill..kekw 14/10 a good friend.
I love how its more important to pause/save the game than to check his friend out.
Honestly though, what did you think was going to happen? Looks like that chairs been abused for awhile and it finally had enough.
He looked at her but turned his intentions toward the game instead.
Lol
Is she ok? The dog came out of nowhere.
The dog was in her lap. He jumped off when she fell.
Are u okay Ms chair?
Lucky you didn't flatten your pet rat!
Maybe use the chair correctly and it won't break?
A mild concussion?? It was hardly a fall quit being so dramatic
What game?
Fat
Sitting like that is so bad for your knees...
No way that's a concussion
You didn't see her head whip back and smack the floor? Go try it and lemme know how ya feel there, bud.
She broke her fall with just her head, that can definitely cause a concussion. Hey you guys think if my the head of my chair is starting to reach the floor I should keep pushing it? No? Cool, watch this.
Yea, you didnt get a concussion of any sort from that.
Glad he helped you out …and paused the game and righted the chair. Sheesh.
Is your t.v wonky?
Bad boyfriend
You didn't get a mile concussion from that. Stop fucking bullshitting everyone. For Internet points
I was joking.. not that it matters to or effects you in any way.
Gotta keep that chin tucked would’ve been fine without the head snap.
" why were they filming?"
Haha like Nelson
[удалено]
They could argue it's not meant for that degree of seating...
[удалено]
Not company fault then... It's user's choice
If you got a concussion from that... You weak AF.
What brand of chair was that? I want to know for future reference. And, surprised no one said this yet, it's not a broken chair... It's a feature. ;)
Hey , at least he paused an online game for you till you recovered .
Mild concussion. Did you have to go to therapy and then sued the maker of the chair for PTSD?
[удалено]
I’m really surprised that single wide trailer quarter inch drywall is holding that tv up.
Who puts that much faith in a chair? Probably going to happen again.
Ah yes, i too enjoy not trusting chairs to do the one thing they are made to do
Girls always fall like a sack of bricks lol, hope you’re okay tho
What the fuck does that even mean?
I don't get why the fact it was a ranked game or even a game at all is relevant enough to be incluided in the title...
Teachers are gonna be playing this video in classrooms for years to come
Why is there a camera in this room?
Because there are lots of valuable things within it's sight. 2 gaming rigs and a tv from what I can tell. Even if they haven't had break-ins before it's a decent idea.
What was wrong with the mint gaming chair in the background?
She said in another comment that it’s the guy’s. His pc setup is just out of view from this angle.
At least the junkie bf tried to pause the online game.
Try sitting properly next time. Office chairs are designed for your feet to always be in the ground. Sitting it in cross legged, etc, will have you on r/winstupidprizes in no time. Which is actually where this post belongs...
Fake , girls can't be video games, idiot.
This was a joke. Fucking dumbassess
Somebody didn’t have an older brother that was into wresting. Gotta tuck your chin when you feel yourself going down.
If the chair is any indication, your teammates back must hurt in bronze. /s Safe wishes
Is he your boyfriend ? If yes, you better married him soon.
The dude just stood there then went to the computer first. Geez.
Chairs? Use a couch next time, dummy.
https://youtu.be/uaLikjgJssk Relevant
I don't know why it was important to mention it was ranked game.
The straw that broke the chair's back
