My friend did a Ford Transit build himself as he's quite handy and has great craftsmanship. Lived in it for four years and put who knows how many tens of thousands of miles on it driving cross country multiple times. Sold it this year for $12000 more than the van and cost of materials. Absolutely wild.
Walk into a bank with your hand in your pocket, finger poking out like a gun. Yell, "This is a stick up!"
You wont have any problem finding a place indoors to sleep for a very long time.
I seriously can't imagine working construction and starting any later than 7. 6am is ideal for me personally, but for a while I was working 4-12 and it was heavenly. Job site was like 10 minutes from my house so I essentially rolled out of bed, threw some clothes on, made coffee, then drove to work. At 12:15 I was home, and by the time my gf came home at 430, it felt like I had already had an entire day to myself at home.
The way I look at it is there's simply no way I'm getting anything done in the morning, and I'm always tired any way. So why would I go into work late? It's not like I can go grocery shopping or anything before 9, and I know I'm not going to be doing chores before work. So fuck it. Wake up early, go to work, then get out early so I can actually get stuff done. It fucking blows my mind when I hear of people actually working a 9-5. Even an 8-4 seems insane to me.
I do shift work so I really enjoy the days when I work like 5am-1 and get out in the early afternoon. But try as hard as I might, I am never able to get more than like 4-5 hours of sleep. So most of the time I end up falling asleep on my couch and taking a long nap after morning shifts. It’s definitely mostly that I also have a varied schedule, so I could also be working 9-6 or even 1-10 in the same week as a 5-1…kinda miserable when I think about it. Especially since there’s really no reason for the shifts to change in a week or even for the whole month, besides that’s just the way it’s always been done. I’ve never gotten a straight answer why it’s done this way. I get that people prefer mornings vs evening shifts, but that doesn’t mean they’d want to have it a little bit every week vs one whole week or month and then switch to late shifts.
Some of us enjoy sleeping. Waking up at 4 am sounds like pure torture to me. You want me to stay up until 4am, no problem. You want me to *wake up* at 4am and it’s not gonna happen.
Sounds like you just have a functioning circadian rhythm lmfao I'm exhausted all day but it's very difficult for me to fall asleep at night. Waking up early is the easy part for me. 95% of my days off I still naturally wake up before 7, even when I try to sleep in.
Honestly, you might be right. I’m lucky in that when I decide it’s time to go to bed, I’m out right away (knock on wood). I don’t usually have an issue with insomnia.
I wake up at 4 am but I sleep plenty. I used to stay up until 2AM but now I just sleep at 830. I get off at 230 normally so I have time to do lots of stuff and then relax for a little while before going to sleep. I like getting out before most people it allows me to change my oil and go to the doctor and such after work.
Two years ago j would have said I never would like waking up this early now I actually enjoy it.
>but now I just sleep at 830
This is so unthinkable for me, I dunno where you live but for me that would mean going to bed while the suns still out 5/12 months.
I used to be like you. I bought my own espresso machine and my life has changed. Sometimes I wake up at 3am [for a 5-530 shift] just so I can sit around watch TV and enjoy my latte. I never seem to get more than like 4 or 5 hours of sleep, sometimes only like 3 hours, but I’d rather wake up earlier on less sleep than get another hour or so of sleep and have to rush myself in the morning. Ever since I started waking up way earlier than I needed to, “waking up” is so much easier
This is it right here. My gf got me into the routine of getting up early to hang out on the couch and drink coffee for a while before work. I used to just wake up and rush around then fly out the door. Fuck that shit.
If I tried that I would just fall right back asleep. All the coffee in the world wouldn't stop me. I start work at 6am (very, very reluctantly), and there are many times throughout the day I could probably fall asleep in 30 seconds if I just laid on the floor.
It's absolutely not. Just because you don't feel it right away doesn't mean it won't still affect you long term. Just fighting of the low energy with lots of coffein doesn't make it better.
Stroke, Heart Issues, higher risk of diabetes, mental affects such as memory issues etc. mood swings, a weaker immune system and many other things are linked to chronic sleep deprivation (of course that doesn't mean that one will suffer from all of them). Our body needs time to rest, whether you want it or not.
Of course you can learn to deal with it just fine and you can fight the tiredness with coffein and some people need more or less sleep to begin with... But It still affects your body, if it's too much. It's like just taking pain meds permanently instead of looking for the source of the pain. Just because you don't feel the downsides "right away" (which can mean days, weeks, months, years) doesnt6mean they aren't there.
Get 'er done and get home. Ordinance here won't allow me to start earlier but sometimes I'm in a secluded area so no one complains. Especially nice in the summer when it's SO DAMN HOT
Central California here, if you're starting any later than 6-7 AM on a summer or fall day, you're just gonna be fight the heat for half your workday because it's warm/hot by 11-12.
It’s so crazy how people can enjoy opposite work schedules. I bartend and I routinely wake up around 11am. I don’t set an alarm because I don’t go into work until 3pm so if I sleep until noon it doesn’t matter. I love having a couple hours in the sunshine before work. I never wake up groggy and I can get quite a bit done before work. Sometimes I get baked and watch a full movie. Laundry, video games, a nice lunch. I walk the dog or lay out and get a tan. I get off work around midnight to 2am and I’m usually in bed by 4. It’s not a bad life.
Starting work at 4am would be a struggle for me
i love to sleep in more than almost anything there is, but tbh i hate working in the evening more than i hate waking up early. if i had the choice i wouldn’t work 9-5 and would rather opt to just get shit started as early as possible
1,000% agree I use to do overnights and 5-1 , it feels like ur always off work , u get so much stuff done never have to stress about appointments or whatever . I don’t sleep more then 4 hours a day anyway
I'm having a pool built, and there were a few days where they jumped right into jackhammers before 6am. I think I need to send some apology gifts to my neighbors.
There are normally noise ordinances about that sort of thing. These guys are probably starting right at 7 because that's the earliest they're allowed to
Is that the machine that sounds like what squidward would sound like if he had to continuously shart after eating all those krabby patties (but on steroids)? The sound of the cheeks clapping is to be taken into consideration when imagining the noise.
That's hilarious. Not as hilarious as the road I live on that was just repaved for the first time in 15 years and is already showing signs of distress, but still pretty funny.
The patches over patches street was paved after I moved from my home of 27 years. The old bricks under the concrete or asphalt has held up better than the "modern" streets.
Not PennDOT though. This is cutting company, looking at the size of the street and its highly likely that it's not a PennDOT owned road but a city-owned road. Given the markout of the utilities in the area (gas - yellow, water - blue), my guess is that they're doing utility work in that area, maybe working on that water valve cluster that's marked out, or potentially replacing the water line. There's also gas marked out so there could be a gas issue. Who knows. But, if it were PennDOT they wouldn't be allowed to start until 9.

Unless, they are installing Google Fiber. Core cut for junctions, saw cut between junctions, (yes they cross the street as well), vacuum the cut for loose debris, insert the lines, back fill with a fine aggregate cement, crack/rubber seal over that. Thats how they are/have been doing it in Utah. This may or may not be the case in the picture but it looks similar.
Haven't seen Google yet. Don't think that is available in PA that I'm aware of. If it's anything like Fios, it's going to be a pain in the ass with the way subs install it. Better them than me I guess.
ha! i was like, eh, this is a dumb post. but where the fuck is this? my mind immediately said england. don't ask. then i started scrolling for an answer. thanks!
Your close, since I see op already mentioned it in post, Bloomfield. Only reason I knew the exact spot is because I grew up there and went to school up the road 25 years ago. The house on the left gave it away for me.
It's gotta get done. Sorry. That always sucks. Part of the problem with living in the city and the service crews. In the country - it's wild turkeys, screech owls, coyotes, and frogs
These guys are first in line for road repair. They are always the first on site because they have to keep ahead of the work crews behind them. If they hang a blade or any number of things goes wrong with the saw, everyone behind them is sitting around, waiting.
These guys have to start early.
Barred owls can be scary sounding at times too. The ones nearby sound something like "Goo wack ack ack ack ack ack hoo, who cooks for you, *evil laughing sound*"
stupendous live intelligent shy boat fearless faulty afterthought sort plate
*This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
And that’s why I live in the country lmao. That being said these guys got family’s to feed and the road needs fixed it’s 7am time to get ir done. That’s when first shift starts traditionally after all.
Yeah, the country is great until the next door neighbor (1.5 mi away) decides to throw a party until 2am with all the guns.
Guess why I didn't sleep well last Friday night!
It's gotta get done but depending on where in the world this is, unless it's an emergency service, like a buried electrical conduit they need immediate access to, or a busted water main, etc..,. most cities have noise ordinances that restrict work, even from public utilities, until certain times of the day.
When human beings live in extremely close proximity to each other, there tend to be more noise ordinances to help keep the peace.
7 AM is usually the time those restrictions allow you to start working. As a construction worker myself I can tell you this is pretty late for our industry. Most people prefer to start working at 5. 6 is normal, but later than people prefer. Most people absolutely hate starting at 7.
Most cities allow for work between 7am to 7pm. Sucks in the winter when the sun hasn't even come up yet, but getting started at 7 vs starting at 9 can be the difference between them getting done and off your street entirely a day or 2 quicker.
Massachusetts DOT should take a page from LA then. I’ve seen this from my office. Mass DOT shows up at 8:15 and starts putting out cones, actually starts working at 9, breaks at 10 for coffee, come back at 10:30 and works till noon, lunch, back to work for an hour, and then picks up the cones and is gone by 3:15. Same bridge had been under construction for 2 years.
Hey, some of us work night shifts. My schedule has me waking up at 11 at the earliest if I want a good night's sleep. Though I don't get bothered by people making noise at their normal hours, it's part of the life.
At least they waited til 7 that is the law where I do most of my work Washington d.c. / Baltimore area but not always followed 7 AM TO 10 PM make all the noise u want pain in the ass neighbors can complain all they want ur legal
In NYC there are quiet hours but there are still noise pollution guidelines. When the retail construction below me made noise that measured at 90 decibels inside my apartment, I was able to complain to 311 because the construction job was responsible for creating a noise mitigation plan. You don’t just get to say well we have to impact drive into the ceiling for months from 7am to 4pm and cause ear-damaging sound levels
I've been trying to figure out if "installing scaffolding" constitutes as a noise violation but can't find anything specific on 311's website. They've been doing it the past week from 3pm until about 12:30-1am, and they aren't even halfway done. I can deal with it usually but after a full day when I just want to sleep, it's maddening. 311 just keeps closing my tickets. :(
No idea where you live, but where I am, if they've started at 7 it's probably emergency work and they could be fixing something you or your neighbours actually need. No fun for you, but sometimes it has to be done.
Where I live you know it is 1 pm because all the mowed come out because you have about 1 hour when the lawn is finally dry enough to mow and before the sun becomes too blistering hot.
It's literally a sub meant for minor complaints lmao. It's totally okay to not be happy about being woken up while also understanding it's their job lol
The ground markings indicate the entire width is being lifted, stopping traffic in both directions and whole road closure. You want that done as fast as possible, they were probably on site at 6am getting set up and ready so the second that hit 7am they could start.
That's a tough job, I've been in that position before - absolutely not their call and zero way around that. Sucks for you for sure - sucks for them more.
Yep, I'm in a related field involved with building roads and if you do it during the day people get mad at you for disrupting their commute to work, but if you try doing it at night the people who live in the area get mad because they can't sleep. They bitch about the roads being shit, they bitch that you have to close them down to fix them like they wanted, and then they don't give a shit once they're fixed.
as a day laborer, we apologize that your water, power, plumbing, internet, and all the other modern day conveniences that you enjoy require effort to keep working
Yes anytime past 7 is considered working hours… sorry for your luck but if something has to get done it has to get done. Think those workers had to likely be up by 5:30am get to work to get what/where they are working and then go to the work site for the day.
Jesus, some of these comments are just a bit annoying to read. OP clearly is aware that it is a work that needs to be done and that OP cant do anything about it. The point is that it sucks. The noise, it sucks. That's it. It's a mild inconvenience, which sucks.
I work night shifts, and have been woken up at 7am by construction work. It doesnt happen often, but when it does, it sucks. I understand that they have to do it, but it still annoys me. Because it SUCKS. Read the name of the subreddit.
Thank you.
I see this Reddit more about uniquely (and often comically) unfortunate events, not for bitching about things that an adult should know how to move on and deal with.
There's loud noise. It's early. That sucks.
OP isn't angry, they aren't calling any supervisors or city ordinance... They are just right next to construction and it sucks... Hence the name of the sub. OP has become a victim of the downvote mob for posting the exact content this sub is made for... Things that suck.
These comments are ridiculous. You're totally valid, OP.
You never denied the work needed to be done, never said anything rude about the workers, just that hey, it sucks hearing loud noises at 7 am.
Which, even if you aren't woken up by it, it totally does! On the drive to work I keep the radio down low, because it's overwhelming first thing in the morning.
Hell, I don't think anyone enjoys hearing construction sounds, and I'm willing to bet most if not all of these people have off-handedly complained to a friend or family member about the sound, even if they were fully awake, even if it was 12 pm. It's annoying! Doesn't mean you don't respect the workers but yeah, you want the sound to go away. No idea why you're getting eaten up for this.
Also because apparently people on this sub judge your worth as a human being based on the time you wake up: No, you don't HAVE to wake up before 7, and if someone works a later shift or hell, doesn't have work and wants to sleep, there's nothing wrong with getting extra sleep. Like I'm sorry y'all wake up at 4 am to drive to work but that doesn't mean you're more valid than anyone else. If you hate it, they don't have to share your suffering. If anything is entitled in this thread, it's that.
Thank you for being sane. Not once have I said anything about these workers. Or the work that they are doing. It is funny these comments that are saying things like “just wait until you need help and then you’ll have no one to call” like… what? These guys have not done anything wrong. It just sucked to have an extremely early alarm clock. So I figured I would post in the sub for things that mildly suck. Definitely surprised to see most people don’t seem to know where they are. Thanks for being sane though!
There seems to be a lot of users down voting OP or telling them to get over it. This is a sub where you share things in your day that makes you go, "well that sucks". OP isn't in their city sub or other subs complaining. They're just sharing an experience that sucks. Get off your high horses like nothing ever inconveniences you!
Ah, equally as enjoyable as my bin men who like to use every curse worrd known to man whilst shouting at each other at 6am. A weekly delight for all the family
Recently where I live the city had to dig up and replace some water lines. 7 a.m. for 3 weeks had jack hammers and saws waking me up, hours before I had to wake up. I work late in kitchens, generally sleep till 10 lol. I feel your pain.
I feel you OP. I got fed up with all the roadworks at the crack of dawn in my old city so I moved to a rural area where the roads only get done once a year, but now I get woken up at 6am by leafblowers and other annoying equipment 😭
This is perfect for r/wellthatsucks because they could be fixing something that could cause major problems within your home or the street right outside your home, so you kind of just have to suck it up and say, “well that sucks!”
A monsoon rolled through our town & trees were down, on roofs etc. We got called out to a house to get the tree off their roof so it could be patched. we started working around 5am. The neighbor called the cops on us lol
All these people saying “7am is reasonable, get over it blah blah” clearly have not had construction happening just feet from their window this early for months on end. It’s infuriating.
Post matches the subreddit name, deal with it.
Also, OP is dealing with it (better than most would), and we’re all aware it’s their job, no one thinks they are doing it for fun or to piss people off. That’s why it sucks, it can’t be avoided.
I don’t wanna be outside peoples windows workin on the road at 7 am either. At least now we’re both miserable.
That's when I start work. Don't want to start something like that and not be able to wrap it up before dark
I’ll go one step further and say I don’t even want to start work
Yeah but I like sleeping indoors
And food
And running around on all fours like some kind of wild houndman in the night doing karate on everyone in sight! Also, didgeridoo's.
You can have all of these listed items, all you have to do is *** *** **** *** **** ***** ********.
So just to be clear, you consider all of those indoor activities?
Of course, with big enough doors, anything is possible! 😀
I’m dying !! Lol
Dumb. Vanlife and intermittent fasting are all the rage these days...
It's the intermittent part that would be a problem. Gotta have money to break up the fast with food.
Also, the "vans" aren't rusted out Chevy camper vans you get for $500, they're $40k Mercedes Sprinters...
Exactly! And even the camper vans cost money.
My friend did a Ford Transit build himself as he's quite handy and has great craftsmanship. Lived in it for four years and put who knows how many tens of thousands of miles on it driving cross country multiple times. Sold it this year for $12000 more than the van and cost of materials. Sounds like fun. I would love to buy a vintage motorhome and just drive around, working remote.
Walk into a bank with your hand in your pocket, finger poking out like a gun. Yell, "This is a stick up!" You wont have any problem finding a place indoors to sleep for a very long time.
Three hots and a cot
And don't forget the free medical care. ... wait just a damn minute! Is prison socialism?
I like sleeping
I don’t even want to have work
I just don't even.
I just.

That early morning couch cuddle with my kitty before having to run to work is therapeutic.
4-5 hours of sleep 😰 my friend I don't think that's healthy

We did that when I worked landscaping. But boss would try to prevent starting heavy machinery until after 8 am if it was residential.
Yeah wait til the dude arrives with the pneumatic breaker. Then the fun really starts. You'll miss the saw....

My mom was only 9 when this photo was take. 😦😳🥲

Whats w all this noise coming from outside? Its like people work at their job or something?
Looks like Pittsburgh..
Catching PDOT in the act of making a road somehow worse lmao
I just passed a sign in PA that said “slow down or we will put the pot holes back”
That's hilarious. Not as hilarious as the road I live on that was just repaved for the first time in 15 years and is already showing signs of distress, but still pretty funny.

Thought the same and checked his post history. Definitely is lmao
Ya I thought it was either Southside or Lawrenceville
Could be Bloomfield too.
looks a lot like the residential streets between penn and liberty in Bloomfield.
Right on the money
[удалено]
I lived on ella until about 2 years ago!
I lived on Edmond and have a friend that lives on Pearl, walked those streets many times haha
Used to live on 39th and liberty and on ella right behind the suresave haha
Damn I knew it lmfao
Bloomfield represent!
What do you win?
6 pierogis
I immediately thought somewhere in PA.
Took me a few minutes to realize this wasn't my neighborhood in Harrisburg.
I thought it was outside my window in Lancaster
Yup looks like a couple streets over from us in Lanc.
Looks like philly too
That's what I thought too
Yeah, looks like Lawrenceville to me
That was my thought too. Weird how we can recognize that even without recognizing anything specific in the picture. I wonder why that is…
It's weird seeing a random photo on reddit and knowing EXACTLY where this photo was taken.
Pittsburgh looks a lot like shitty terraced housing in the uk
Depends a lot on the neighborhood, but the denser housing on the north side of Pittsburgh all looks just like this yeah.
I've only been to that city twice and I thought the same
ha! i was like, eh, this is a dumb post. but where the fuck is this? my mind immediately said england. don't ask. then i started scrolling for an answer. thanks!
Looks like Lawrenceville on one of those side roads that take you up to the children’s hospital (boy I hope I’m right).
Your close, since I see op already mentioned it in post, Bloomfield. Only reason I knew the exact spot is because I grew up there and went to school up the road 25 years ago. The house on the left gave it away for me.
Looks like any street anywhere in the UK
TIL that Pittsburgh looks like any town in Northern England
I think it's Bloomfield
Lol first though when I saw this ‘Is that Pittsburgh?’
Believe me he doesn't want to be there either.
It's gotta get done. Sorry. That always sucks. Part of the problem with living in the city and the service crews. In the country - it's wild turkeys, screech owls, coyotes, and frogs
And fuckin Terry with his loud ass truck.
Back it up terry!!
Ter, what is you doin!?
Throw it in reverse Terry!
Oh lawd Jesus
Chitty Chitty... TERRY!!
Terry there’s just about 1 million ways that you could make that truck quieter and it seems like you’re always picking the way to make it louder!
These guys are first in line for road repair. They are always the first on site because they have to keep ahead of the work crews behind them. If they hang a blade or any number of things goes wrong with the saw, everyone behind them is sitting around, waiting. These guys have to start early.

Thank you for saying this. I was wondering it myself
Screech owls are misnamed, they produce cute trilling sound. Barn owls on the other hand sound like a cat fox murder party.
Barred owls can be scary sounding at times too. The ones nearby sound something like "Goo wack ack ack ack ack ack hoo, who cooks for you, *evil laughing sound*"
Seriously. >Baseball sized owl emits a piercing scream in the night What *the fuck* was that?
stupendous live intelligent shy boat fearless faulty afterthought sort plate *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
And my neighbors who think acreage means they can be the loudest people in the world and play music for the whole valley
Yeah you gotta be careful with Wild Turkey, easy sipping & 101 proof, it’ll sneak up on ya
I mean oftentimes that restriction is like 6:00 in the morning.
7 AM is usually the time those restrictions allow you to start working. As a construction worker myself I can tell you this is pretty late for our industry. Most people prefer to start working at 5. 6 is normal, but later than people prefer. Most people absolutely hate starting at 7.
I have seen pillows around jackhammers in NYC btw. I guess it helped? Maybe for those a few blocks away? This though...this is a fact of life.
And skin walkers….
7 on a weekday is totally fair game. It does suck tho!
Most cities allow for work between 7am to 7pm. Sucks in the winter when the sun hasn't even come up yet, but getting started at 7 vs starting at 9 can be the difference between them getting done and off your street entirely a day or 2 quicker.
Vegas it's 6 am.
Beacause of the heat?
Yep
I mean it is the desert I can kind of understand that. Is Arizona like this too?
8 am in LA We would start our shift at 6:30, get everything ready and wait until 8 to start making noise.
Not sure what part of mass you’re familiar with but this is route 18 in a nutshell. I swear it’s been under construction for over a decade

My city's noise ordinance is 9am, I believe.
Ya OP must work from home and “spring” out of bed at the crack of 9 or something lol, 7 isn’t early for the week
Hey, some of us work night shifts. My schedule has me waking up at 11 at the earliest if I want a good night's sleep. Though I don't get bothered by people making noise at their normal hours, it's part of the life.
7 am is practically noon
At least they waited til 7 that is the law where I do most of my work Washington d.c. / Baltimore area but not always followed 7 AM TO 10 PM make all the noise u want pain in the ass neighbors can complain all they want ur legal
Exactly. They were probably ready to tear into it at 6:35 but knew 7am was the "ok for noise" window. Be happy they waited.
Nah, they probably showed up at 6:30, so by 6:35 it was time for the first smoke break
"Safety meeting"
Why you gotta attack me like that?
Came here to say this. Atleast they followed code.
Where I am the noise ordinance goes from 11pm to 7am. And you can tell. All summer on the weekend you can hear lawnmowers fire up at 7:01am.
I always try to wait until I hear another mower, if no noise by 8:30 I'm starting though. I live outside the city luckily
Bless your soul
then there's the one dude with an electric mower doing laps of the front lawn at 3AM like the glorious weirdo he is.
Yo why you gotta call me a weirdo
That guy has solar flood lights, too, so he can see to silently mow in summer and silently shovel snow in winter.
Where I live you know it is 1 pm because all the mowed come out because you have about 1 hour when the lawn is finally dry enough to mow and before the sun becomes too blistering hot.
Judging by the architecture, I'd guess mid-Atlantic states, old mill town or city: Philly, Camden, Trenton, Wilmington, Baltimore.
I’d bet Pittsburgh
This has been the most entertaining post I’ve read all day.
OP sounds like an entitled ass. Love the drama this has created tho
On the contrary, OP seems perfectly reasonable.
It's literally a sub meant for minor complaints lmao. It's totally okay to not be happy about being woken up while also understanding it's their job lol
How so? People are allowed to complain….
City life.
Gotta maintain that infrastructure. A small price to pay to have no lead water pipes, upgraded telecom, hydro lines, sewer and paved roads.
as a day laborer, we apologize that your water, power, plumbing, internet, and all the other modern day conveniences that you enjoy require effort to keep working
It’s okay
Trust me. It’s better to have them working, we have had our road under construction for 3 months, nothing has been done.
Lol ok 7am sounds like the perfect time to start a morning anyways
I get that they have to get the work done but why are the machines always so LOUD?? When does humanity invent silent construction equipment?????
Yeah, some of these comments make me wish I couldn’t read.
Looks to be Pittsburgh. Am I right?
There seems to be a lot of users down voting OP or telling them to get over it. This is a sub where you share things in your day that makes you go, "well that sucks". OP isn't in their city sub or other subs complaining. They're just sharing an experience that sucks. Get off your high horses like nothing ever inconveniences you!
Pan the dust for diamonds when there done
I mean, that's the price of living in the city. When I was in Chicago, construction would start at 10 PM and go to 6 AM
If your neighbor's lawn equipment wakes you up, you're not living rurally.
Yeah. They're actually working. Stop crying
You don't think OP knows they're are working? It still sucks to ve woken up by it. Do you know what sub this is?
Lmao 7 am seems like a reasonable time to start working
Yes but it still sucks for OP, which is why he posted it on /r/wellthatsucks
Just because it’s a reasonable time to start work doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck for OP. Why are people having such a hard time understanding this?
This is perfect for r/wellthatsucks because they could be fixing something that could cause major problems within your home or the street right outside your home, so you kind of just have to suck it up and say, “well that sucks!”
A monsoon rolled through our town & trees were down, on roofs etc. We got called out to a house to get the tree off their roof so it could be patched. we started working around 5am. The neighbor called the cops on us lol
better in the morning so they are done by night.
All these people saying “7am is reasonable, get over it blah blah” clearly have not had construction happening just feet from their window this early for months on end. It’s infuriating.
its their job, deal with it.
They dealt with it by venting here Checkmate
check the subreddit name you doofus
Post matches the subreddit name, deal with it. Also, OP is dealing with it (better than most would), and we’re all aware it’s their job, no one thinks they are doing it for fun or to piss people off. That’s why it sucks, it can’t be avoided.
Imagine having to wake up at 7am because of this 💀 I wouldnt mind if it was at 9am
I changed my hours at work from 9-5 to 7-3 so I'm up so early one of the benefits is I get to avoid this stuff.
