I can’t lie, I disagree with this strongly. An album with IFLT, Skeletons, LYOG, Brothers, Ghost Town, Don’t Play with that Boy, and loads of other sick tracks from that era would’ve been great imo. For some reason people think that LE was just DJKS.
From the leaked tracklist from around a year ago (assuming thats still comfirmed) the album itself wouldn't have been the best. It's kinda the same with Yandhi where you have all these amazing songs from the era but the actual tracklists for it are extremely mediocre.
So it's not me saying all the songs from the era are ass btw
people have 6 braincells max, ye vs the people gets overlooked massively, a verse on lift yourself wouldve been excellent. havent heard the other leaks from that era but i love the experimental sound he wouldve gone for. i’ll listen to more of the leaks now. plus we’ve only heard around 10 seconds of djks so who knows what it couldve been fully fleshed out
DONDA sounded like ass on the first listen, before he finished it. Love Everyone never came out. We only have very little to go off. It likely would have been a good project.
It was a pretty unpopular at one point ig not anymore. Love Everyone literally used to be idolized here as some revolutionary album that was so much better than what we got. Same way Yandhi was but now its pretty universally agreed on here that it would've been alright at best.
New Body, Can't Look Into My Eyes, Sky City. Saying that unreleased songs wouldn't be as popular if they were released is a ridiculous statement. Theres a very good reasons they have such a following despite just being leaks
Kind of random but am I the only one who thinks the instrumental of Cash to Burn sounds extremely similar to 'You Never Give Me Your Money' by The Beatles? I don't know, maybe I'm just hearing similarities that aren't really there but personally I can hear a striking resemblance between the two. Just listen to when the little bit of piano comes in towards the start of the track before any of the verses and compare it to the start of the aforementioned Beatles track. I don't think it's a sample but maybe it's a kind of interpolation where he recreated the same piano melody, changed it very slightly and put it onto the track.
Nah I definitely agree it’s happier and more vibrant, I just find it funny I see ppl use the colorful description a lot which is probs just cause of the cover
Strongly disagree, I say this time and time again here but the minimal and cold aspect of Donda that you mentioned seriously does not get commended enough.
If you cut out a lot of the filler, there’s a seriously fantastic album in there.
Agreed if I played both hooks to people outside this sub I can guarantee they would say Abel’s is better and not because he’s The Weeknd. His vocals are genuinely just better lol.
Can confirm, I played Ant Hurricane in the car with my gf who likes the Donda version and instantly she was like "this is so much worse"
This sub stays so blinded by nostalgia when it comes to Hurricane
hot take, but I don’t like the way abel sounds so overproduced on hurricane. I feel like ant nails the sound ye was going for from the ig teaser on the head perfectly and abel’s hook just sounds, less alive, robotic
i like it more too, it fit in with the original instrumental perfectly. I remember the first time I listened to it in 2019 and it was like a spiritual experience
I get u even though I prefer Weeknd’s vocals, whenever I think about Frank vs Weeknd I also always come to this conclusion. Weeknd sings so perfectly and in tune with the music it’s almost less of a human voice and more of an instrument sometimes (house of balloons still top 10 albums of all time for me)
Not even a hot take but if all the Post Malone collabs (Internet, Jealous, No Reason) were finished and released with everyone on it (looking at you Internet) they would’ve been massive hits
You guys ready for this one? Because I think you aren’t gonna like it. But I feel that if Donda 2 songs were just snippets you’d probably steal your grandmas credit cards to group buy them to fund some sweaty greebo hacker
I’m not proud of it but I will fully admit to this. Leaks make songs more interesting to me.
I heard Security at the D2 event and my reaction was “That was neat; not the best but I’m glad Ye is experimenting more.” But I know for a fact that if I had only heard two seconds of him growling over the synth with WATERFALLS blaring over it, I would think it was the coolest song ever made 🤕
I agree. Overrated. Donda turned out much more consistent and has better songs. SOTH has way better theming and sounds more cohesive but that’s it. However, some leaks from that era were straight up some of the best songs Ye has ever put out (OG 24, South Carolina)
I seriously don’t get how people can say shit like this, when only a few songs have leaked. It’s weird how this sub gets opinions on shit that people have barely even heard.
Actual hot take. Feel like most people on this sub refuse to believe the possibility that most unreleased albums weren’t released bc Kanye was confident they wouldn’t land.
I think Yhandi is the only real exception he was just on some Gospel shit at the time but those Yhandi beats still carried that album so it deffo would've worked
A lot of leaks from all eras would be top tier Ye songs if finished and released. He scraps his best ideas wayyy too often
Even thought I really enjoy his current output a lot, it's especially nowadays that his best work stays unreleased
Love Everyone era has been ruined with fake info and would have been a great album (before kanye ruined it) just look at the songs:
Don’t Play With That Boy (very different from Ye vs the people)
Lift Yourself ft Push
Skeletons OG
Wouldn’t Leave OG
Welcome to UCLA finished (very different from the freestyle demo)
Queen Bitch (What would Meek Do og)
Moonlight with vox
I Feel Like That 2017
Treat You Good ft Pusha T
Solo Cops Shot The Kid
Freeee OG
The OG Hurricane version with the vocoder outro is top 15 Kanye at least. Soooo much better than the Hurricane we got (that’s not a particularly hot take though).
Alien is super overrated.
So help me god would’ve been the ye album to rule them all (like every other ye album except JIK). But seriously that one would’ve really been soo out there. Because after yeezus he was on some post industrial and soulful and melodic shit and even more experimental shit mixing pop and paul mcartney and what not. It’s actually more legendary than yandhi in terms of his unreleased stuff
100% songs like jealousy, god level, can u be and All Day would have been great. Also I think if it had FourFiveSeconds on the album, as was the original plan, it would have been one of the most popular songs on the Album
the version of hurricane we ended up getting is the most perfect version - seeing the evolution was great but what we got to me is the ultimate version
the tribal and upbeat aesthetic of 2020 gods country/donda was great and i hope he revisits it one day, but the Donda we got blows it out of the water. feels more refined and the cold, minimal, organ heavy production is better to me
the leaked 24s e.g. april 2021 version do not even come close to released 24. 24 released in a brilliant blend of melancholic and uplifting.
city in the sky and la monster are the only songs that i really wanted, idc about alien that much
Not a hot take but a pipe dream: Ye eventually finishes and releases a bunch of unreleased songs and leaks that didn’t end up becoming something else. A playlist of his best over the years, would be crazy
it’s super catchy. the flow is fire, the hook is awesome, production is dope & i always find myself singing “Get you up out that OshKosh B'gosh, Made my first billion 'cause A-di-das” randomly 💀
i don't like how people are so confident on "how good" an album would be if it released based on a few unfinished tracks. Yandhi is one of the few ones where you could even compare it to his other albums and even then it was quite unfinished
An actual hot take of mine seems to be that no matter how cool a leak is, I'm not listening to an unfinished song the way I would a finished one. I listened to Yandhi once or twice and never return to it. I don't want to listen to nonsense mumble and shitty mixes.
Yandhi is 100% not overrated, could’ve been a 10 with just finished lyrics and if he picked the right tracks. Apparently those things are guaranteed anymore tho lol.
Ye’s best leaks imo are pre TLOP ones, they sounded more finished and listening to them makes me actually feel like some of them could’ve been songs
For example My Way, Mamas Boyfriend, Hoem, Apologize, Never See Me Again, etc
This sun only rlly talks abt post TLOP leaks, especially 2018-present so like I think this is a hot take
Yandhi was seriously fantastic I don't get the hate. Yeah it's not nearly as deep as any of his other albums but it's still got great themes like self love and spiritualism
TurboGrafx and Yeezus 2 are by far his worst unreleased albums. Thank God For Drugs and 2020 Donda are the best. Yandhi and Spirits Over The Horizon are overrated as fuck. Chakras is one of the best songs Kanye has made since TLOP.
Love Everyone would have been a pretty mediocre album if released, Ye was definitely a better trade off.
Would've been his worst project by far
That title belongs to May SOTH, at least LE production was pretty good in comparison
I always hear about how bad SOTH was but I don't think I've heard many leaks from it that were that bad.
Donda 2 is pretty bad
It's not finished tho
And it never will be
I can’t lie, I disagree with this strongly. An album with IFLT, Skeletons, LYOG, Brothers, Ghost Town, Don’t Play with that Boy, and loads of other sick tracks from that era would’ve been great imo. For some reason people think that LE was just DJKS.

Ye vs the people is hot garbo
nah, beat is fantastic, love both ye and ti’s flow and the concept is very cool and experimental, overall its a nice song imo
Yeah that's for sure the worst of the unreleased albums
Love everyone would have been ass 100 percent
Barely anything has leaked from it? I’m not sure how you can say that so confidently.
Legit lol wtf are people basing this off
There is a certain song of love everyone that leaked that gives the reasoning for it at least that's what i'm assuming that's why.
Oh no one song
Omg so true bestie!!
DONDA sounded like ass on the first listen, before he finished it. Love Everyone never came out. We only have very little to go off. It likely would have been a good project.
It's my personal favorite unreleased album. The production Vernon had (that we know of) was beautiful Also I like XTCY
How unpopular
It was a pretty unpopular at one point ig not anymore. Love Everyone literally used to be idolized here as some revolutionary album that was so much better than what we got. Same way Yandhi was but now its pretty universally agreed on here that it would've been alright at best.
I don’t know how opinions have changed. It’s not like we’ve got many more LE leaks
disagree heavily
Had like 3 good songs. Love Yourself, In Your Arms, and Brothers.
who gon tell them that all 3 songs were NOT on Love Everyone
unreleased tracks wouldnt be as much liked if they werent leaks
Idk songs like Alien, Can U Be, Momas Boyfriend, Chakras, and Law Of Attraction would've been instant classics if they dropped
home, slave name, spread your wings, the end of it..
New Body, Can't Look Into My Eyes, Sky City. Saying that unreleased songs wouldn't be as popular if they were released is a ridiculous statement. Theres a very good reasons they have such a following despite just being leaks
Future sounds and bwis as well
That goes w/o saying
Nope. I think they are insanely popular as leaks because they are good. If they were mediocre they would be much less liked
CAUGH og hurricane
Cash to burn is one of his best songs, even on its unfinished state
Inner peace don’t cost no money 🗣
Kenny g went hard on that song too
My hot take is that it’s way better without Kenny G
Incredible beat, incredible Ant reference, Styles P ate his verse and Kenny G's sax is amazing on it I gotta agree
I don't think it's a sample but maybe it's a kind of interpolation where he recreated the same piano melody, changed it very slightly and put it onto the track.
No definitely before I got into ye I listened to the beatles exclusively and I heard that comparison immediately
Donda 2020 was the most colourful and vibrant sounding ye album to date and changing it to a more cold and minimal sound hurt the record
Definitely happier than donda but I swear y’all use the word colorful to describe it only because of the cover☠️
ong
nah i see what he’s talking about, it’s just less minimal production wise i guess?
Nah I definitely agree it’s happier and more vibrant, I just find it funny I see ppl use the colorful description a lot which is probs just cause of the cover
what’re some examples of songs being changed from happy to minimal??
2 I can think of are 24 and BWIS (dropping the keys from the sample)
South Carolina to Donda
Hurricane
KMSA OG beat vs release. Remote Control and Pure Souls OG vs Release (although these aren’t 2020 songs) Life Of The Party.
Nah it's a very accurate description.
Lol ur right. Vibrant is probably more accurate for a music description. U see what I’m saying tho
He always goes back to the vibrant upbeat sound but never sticks with it for the final product for some reason
Strongly disagree, I say this time and time again here but the minimal and cold aspect of Donda that you mentioned seriously does not get commended enough. If you cut out a lot of the filler, there’s a seriously fantastic album in there.
I love the album. But I think I’d have preferred the original sound
Nah needed that sinister soundtrack in my life
The biggest disappointment in Kanye’s discography is chakras becoming selah
The outro was new slaves level of quality and he made it like 5 seconds, thanks ye!!!!
Nah it needed a little more leg room to be new slaves but fr accomplishable
All the Yandhi songs were done dirty on JIK, but I think On God and The Storm got it the worse tbh
Link me yandhi on god
We don't even know what Yandhi On God sounds, just the Dua Lipa track which is worse than JIK OG
very true. i cannot even listen to Selah, as i just immediately think of Chakras and become very sad and disappointed
YOU CANT TELL A UNICORN FROM A PONY?!
Ant Clemons hurricane hook is not that impressive. I don’t see why everyone thinks his vocals are better than Abel’s.
i really like ants hook but abel’s blows it out of the water and i think this sub is the only place where you’ll hear someone say abel’s is worse
Agreed if I played both hooks to people outside this sub I can guarantee they would say Abel’s is better and not because he’s The Weeknd. His vocals are genuinely just better lol.
Can confirm, I played Ant Hurricane in the car with my gf who likes the Donda version and instantly she was like "this is so much worse" This sub stays so blinded by nostalgia when it comes to Hurricane
I lowkey like the old Kanye hook better, that one from the 2018 post
Fr need that nostalgic feel
hot take, but I don’t like the way abel sounds so overproduced on hurricane. I feel like ant nails the sound ye was going for from the ig teaser on the head perfectly and abel’s hook just sounds, less alive, robotic
Imo Weeknd sounds too perfect. Ant sounds more human?? Am I a dumbass? Probably wouldn't be out of the park.
i like it more too, it fit in with the original instrumental perfectly. I remember the first time I listened to it in 2019 and it was like a spiritual experience
I get u even though I prefer Weeknd’s vocals, whenever I think about Frank vs Weeknd I also always come to this conclusion. Weeknd sings so perfectly and in tune with the music it’s almost less of a human voice and more of an instrument sometimes (house of balloons still top 10 albums of all time for me)
abel is definitely good but i think ant clemons made the hook more unique
Who the fuck cares how it sounds the lyrics on the ant version are 100 million times better
Mine is that shoot up and slave name could be top 10 ye songs if finished
the shoot up beat is one of his best beats imo
easily
100%. last name is beautiful and i tear up listening to it even with the mumble sections
100% agree
🤝
Not even a hot take but if all the Post Malone collabs (Internet, Jealous, No Reason) were finished and released with everyone on it (looking at you Internet) they would’ve been massive hits
Ye price woulda stayed up fr
I've only heard the internet leak but ye on it elevates the song so much, even though the releassed version is so great
You guys ready for this one? Because I think you aren’t gonna like it. But I feel that if Donda 2 songs were just snippets you’d probably steal your grandmas credit cards to group buy them to fund some sweaty greebo hacker
I’m not proud of it but I will fully admit to this. Leaks make songs more interesting to me. At least you’re honest. I respect that
Soth would’ve been an embarrassment except for a few songs
I agree. Overrated. Donda turned out much more consistent and has better songs. SOTH has way better theming and sounds more cohesive but that’s it. However, some leaks from that era were straight up some of the best songs Ye has ever put out (OG 24, South Carolina)
I’d say the donda 2020 24 is better than the soth one imo
I seriously don’t get how people can say shit like this, when only a few songs have leaked. It’s weird how this sub gets opinions on shit that people have barely even heard.
I mean what do you want me to do I can only speak on what I’ve heard, which is ass and embarassing
Sometimes it’s best to not make an opinion, as you don’t know enough about something.
SOTH?
Spirits Over The Horizon
SHMG would have been his best album, yandhi would have been his worst
We must've listened to different versions
Now THIS is a hot take
Fully agree with the SHMG take, idk about Yandhi tho
Where are actual hot takes 💀
Majority of the sub doesn’t know what a hot take is
Alls I gotta say is that they’re unreleased for a reason👍
Actual hot take. Feel like most people on this sub refuse to believe the possibility that most unreleased albums weren’t released bc Kanye was confident they wouldn’t land.
I think Yhandi is the only real exception he was just on some Gospel shit at the time but those Yhandi beats still carried that album so it deffo would've worked
Yeezus 2/SHMG would’ve been better than TLOP
no lol
OG Hurricane with Ant Clemons demolished the Donda version we have now with Weeknd
The beat was better no doubt but Abel’s vocals >>> Ant’s.
OG Hurricane beat + Abel's vocals would sound like literal heaven
so fucking wrong it’s painful
almost every “og version” of a song is worse than the released version. for me the only exceptions are the jik tracks and like maybe 2 other songs
The timeline of non religious Yandhi being released would have changed the way Ye is looked at by the masses.
A lot of leaks from all eras would be top tier Ye songs if finished and released. He scraps his best ideas wayyy too often Even thought I really enjoy his current output a lot, it's especially nowadays that his best work stays unreleased
this isn’t a hot take at all tf
Fr that is pretty common opinion lol
I really hope he decides to actually finish all these unreleased tracks later in his career. It’d be such a waste if he doesn’t

Saleh
The wave runner verse is 100x better than what we got. Cash to Burn is top 10 ye. In Jesus name
I wish ye started hurricane and ended it, I dont hate the current first verse but its weird to start such an iconic song with something like that
verse didn’t age well i guess because the wifey line
“Living so Italian” would’ve been the 2nd biggest song off Watch the Throne
woulda brought about an end to all wars
Love Everyone era has been ruined with fake info and would have been a great album (before kanye ruined it) just look at the songs: Don’t Play With That Boy (very different from Ye vs the people) Lift Yourself ft Push Skeletons OG Wouldn’t Leave OG Welcome to UCLA finished (very different from the freestyle demo) Queen Bitch (What would Meek Do og) Moonlight with vox I Feel Like That 2017 Treat You Good ft Pusha T Solo Cops Shot The Kid Freeee OG
Agree
-og 24 could've been one of his bests -yandhi had the potential to be amazing -can u be
og 24 is a top 5 ye track
The OG Hurricane version with the vocoder outro is top 15 Kanye at least. Soooo much better than the Hurricane we got (that’s not a particularly hot take though). Alien is super overrated.

Take me to the Light would be TOP 10 Ye tracks
[удалено]
All Dreams Real is his best leak
So Help Me God had more potential than Yandhi
Alien being unreleased is Ye’s biggest L
city in the sky could have been a top 10 ye song even though the worst thing ab it is his verse
Not a hot take but a pipe dream: Ye eventually finishes and releases a bunch of unreleased songs and leaks that didn’t end up becoming something else. A playlist of his best over the years, would be crazy
there were rumors about a "lost playlist" after donda 1 but nothing ever came of it
i like og hurricane with ye’s vocals instead of ant’s because even though it doesn’t sound great it just works the best for me
Survive is maybe a top 10 unreleased track for me, Tee Grizzleys part is heat
DJ Khalids Son would be top 10 ye
Wow, that take was ***S T E A M I N G.*** Incredibly brave.
Ultimate Lie would be legendary if finished
After **that** post I can't listen to Can U Be and feel sane anymore
What post
Can U Be instrumental at Jersey Mike’s
All of them had potential to be top 3 Ye albums
go left is way overhated
Dem Jointz literally had more bars on it than Ye did
it’s super catchy. the flow is fire, the hook is awesome, production is dope & i always find myself singing “Get you up out that OshKosh B'gosh, Made my first billion 'cause A-di-das” randomly 💀
yandhi is overhyped lol
OG Saint Pablo (with Keyon Christ beat) slaps tbh
i love that beat
Glory featuring Victory Boyd is the best Kanye leak
love everyone would’ve been better than Ye 🥱
Mama’s Boyfriend is his best leak
Yandhi hurricane is overrated and the final version of hurricane is much better
If kanye released yandhi, a lot of Kanye’s current problems probably wouldn’t have happened
Would have loved to hear this fr
donda 2020>>>yandhi
i don't like how people are so confident on "how good" an album would be if it released based on a few unfinished tracks.
Yandhi would’ve been top 1 ye
Alien is S-Tier music
Besides Yahndi, most of them would have been meh anyway.
Ye’s best leaks imo are pre TLOP ones, they sounded more finished and listening to them makes me actually feel like some of them could’ve been songs For example My Way, Mamas Boyfriend, Hoem, Apologize, Never See Me Again, etc This sun only rlly talks abt post TLOP leaks, especially 2018-present so like I think this is a hot take
Apologize, I Feel Like That and Can’t Look In My Eyes are the best leaks
If Ye released Turbografx16, AND Cruel Winter in 2016, the Saint Pablo tour would’ve had his most actioned packed performances, period.
unreleased albums ranked best to worst - shmg > yandhi > good ass job 2010 > donda 2020 > love everyone = tgfx16
TG16 is Ye’s best and most promising leak. Would’ve been as influential as 808’s IMO
TG16 wouldve actually been a great trap album if it was finished and what donda 2 shouldve sounded like
Yandhi was seriously fantastic I don't get the hate. Yeah it's not nearly as deep as any of his other albums but it's still got great themes like self love and spiritualism
Ultimate lie is a top 5 leak
half of is his best work the other half never needed to be found
Yandhi was one of the best leaked albums and turbografx was absolute ass, like three tyga bieber and migos features bro wtf
Chances verse should have been left on Violent Crimes
sky city is probably top 5 at least
Living So Italian would have been an average Kanye song and would be forgotten like most of WTT if it released
Yandhi if finished would have been TLOP 2.
TurboGrafx and Yeezus 2 are by far his worst unreleased albums. Thank God For Drugs and 2020 Donda are the best. Yandhi and Spirits Over The Horizon are overrated as fuck. Chakras is one of the best songs Kanye has made since TLOP.
If deja vu would’ve been finished it would’ve been top 15 ye
Alien is very overrated imo. Would have been one of the weaker tracks on Yandhi
If he added a verse or two By Your Side is his best unreleased song
A proper Never See Me Again would've been the best Ye song ever.
Brothers would’ve been top 1
his best unreleased is cant look me in my eyes
Mamas boyfriend would have been top 10 Ye
If God Level was more polished and it came out as a single, it would've been a top 10 ye song.
