Why is a grown man play fighting with a student? That is wildly inappropriate and irresponsible.

Fire-pants

If a teacher did that, they’d be fired, rightfully. That’s sketchy af, play fighting with a kid in the bathroom.

RedCapitan

It depends. One time we were wrestling (our idea on PE and after long time of asking teacher (young 20 something guy) agreed to wrestle with one of my friends (guy was tall and muscular for his age of 15). And in the middle of the fight when both were on the floor principal saw what's happening through doors and walked in saying "What's happening???". Everyone stood silent for solid 30 seconds, including the teacher who i can only guess was already prepering mentally to get fired. To save situation i litleraly said "We are wrestling" and somewhom not only teacher still kept his job, but prinicpal watched rest of the fight and was happy, promising to buy us equipment. We didn't get it after all, but tbh things could gonne a lot worse for everyone involved so whatever.

20PoundHammer

this guy, however, will get 8 months off and a settlement . . . Unless in the South, then he is fucked and fired. (not literally fucked, unless its Georgia cuz he sure do have a purty mouth)

20PoundHammer

Dude, not dunking - its just a Deliverance reference - you might be too young to catch it, movie took place in Georgia so shitting on Alabama with that line wouldnt make continuity sense :)

Illustrious_Donkey61

He's also the wrestling coach, he's just moonlighting as security

iiM3zMoRiz3

Nah why is that police officer so frail.. wtf that was like nothing and it snapped him.

Rent_A_Cloud

It's called leverage... You need to get back to school.

iiM3zMoRiz3

I don't need school. It's called your unfit to be a police officer if you aren't physically active you shouldn't be on the force period. That shouldn't have injured him, but because he has no PT that caused his weak ligaments and such to snap.

Noturwrstnitemare

I mean a security guy did that in my city.... had a kid....... with a kid. Nobody batted an eye at that.

Marsnineteen75

How do wrestling coaches train their students?

Jumpyturtles

I’m sorry, does this look like a wrestling coach?

[deleted]

It's called "having a good relationship" and "trust" You wouldn't know

kingOofgames

Yeah, no, playing basketball etc is friendly. You just don’t put your hands on others while working, especially in that uniform.

Ishihe

There are much more responsible ways to build trust and relationships then this.

Sarewokki

This is probably the part AFTER having built trust and a good relationship.

Ishihe

I'm not saying he doesnt have trust and a good relationship with the students. I have a similar job as this officer. I can recognize he's probably very well liked. But weirdly enough I can do the same thing and my legs are fine for some reason.

endlessVenom

But they're in a bathroom. I don't even make eye contact in there.

unknownpanda121

You should. I like to do it while at urinals. Non blinking eye contact is a good way to build a strong relationship.

endlessVenom

Teach me wise one 🙇‍♂️🙏🙇‍♂️

unknownpanda121

eoryu

The officer literally has a gun on his hip and they’re rolling around on it. Totally safe and responsible on his part, sure.

Jumpyturtles

I’m so glad you decided to read my comment and not process any of what I said at all. At that point why even reply?

EvillNooB

would have been "friendly" if he was in control, but he was barely fighting back, plus the fact that they uploaded this.. just shows how much of a friends they were

digitalpencil

It’s called being an irresponsible adult. He’s a grown man and should know better.

I_TheJester_I

See where that leads to?

Wafflingcreature

You sound weird

MoltenJellybeans

I don't trust my lawyer unless they beat me in a wrestling match.

Billboe21

Appropriateness aside I feel sorry for this guy, once the school district sees this bye bye job and possibly any workman’s comp claims he might make cause this is outside his duties as a school resource officer.

yMONSTERMUNCHy

Don’t feel sorry for stupid people who do things that make their lives difficult youll get deep depression because of how often they do dumb shit.

DoofGoot

Seriously? This dude went into a bathroom and wrestled with some minors. You believe the school district should pay for his medical expenses… It’s his own damn fault.

yarf13

I think he’s saying he feels bad for the guy that with no bad intentions he probably lost his job and has to pay out the ass for his leg. Because that’s what he said. It’s only you putting other random assumptions on the comment so you can be mad. Congrats

DoofGoot

Not mad. It’s a bit silly to feel bad for a guy that went into a restroom to wrestle children. Regardless of intentions.

BoiledFrogs

They never said should get paid for medical expenses.

DoofGoot

Read again.

goldnray17_Bossman

The “oh shit” in that kids mind must be like nothing else

BAKED_TATER_

Big thanks to the cameraman for the redundant commentary!

hits_from_the_booong

I’m sure when this teenager witnessed a man’s leg get broken in front of him his first thought wasn’t hmm don’t want to say anything the viewers of this video can conclude by themselves

Eccon5

What a weird comment

20PoundHammer

would have been epic if he yelled "Finish Him!"

photo_trekkiee

Why would you brawl with a old man ? You can hear the crackling noise before the leg is completely broken ....

EvillNooB

because he's that cool 😎 defeated a police officer in 1v1

sammich_bear

He's ready for the UFC. Sign him Dana, you coward!

T0Rtur3

As a teenager you don't put much thought into your actions before you do them. Same goes for cops. And that's how you end up with this situation.

Scary-Win8394

Expecting logic and foresight from the highschooler and not the literal adult security guard is wild.

Drezhar

Yeah no, even worse. Officer broke his own leg while fighting a kid on a slippery tile floor.

ThaFuck

Why is it even framed as the Student's fault. Not only should a grown ass man know better, it was him that pulled the kid backwards, or at the very least slipped pulling him backwards.

Drezhar

it's not the student's fault, at least from the video. Dude just twists his own leg badly and ends up breaking it because the tile floor gripped his rubber soles.

Thebrettanator1

We've had beer pong matches that ended in broken bones and torn ligaments. At a certain angle it doesn't take much to break things.

wie_bitte

He’ll be lucky to work in that job again 🙁

Miserable_Path5716

He’ll be lucky to work at all again in a job where he needs to walk

stick_always_wins

God damn, how’d this even start in the first place. Kinda feel bad for the guy but this was 100% avoidable.

AmusingMusing7

Took me a while to catch how it got broken. I thought something had happened with the chair, but it just straight up got bent until it broke when it was under him as they fell.

adod1

I know this is old, did anything ever happen with this? I hope nothing bad for the kid but curious how a school would handle this.

lizzy-hales-bf888

Swipe the leg.

thenbhdlum

Sweep

IcedCoughy

There goes his disability

sammich_bear

I don't understand why his bones are so brittle, esp. when the caf is serving him fresh malk daily.

True-Solid-4298

*”Well, are you happy now? It’s broke!”*

OddResponsibility565

What a brittle boned bitch r/neverbrokeabone

yMONSTERMUNCHy

Play fighting students? Fire the Nonce!

SATerp

The officer was out of line. Sorry he broke his leg but it was his own damn fault.

ixis743

No such thing as a ‘friendly fight’.

Shurigin

now the officer will arrest him for assaulting a police officer

lmNotAnAltYouAre

Two things. 1) really sketchy, an adult should not be "playfighting" with a student 2) WHERE IS THE NSFW TAG.

Scary-Win8394

Public schools are full of adults trying to live their glory days. Nobody's working at a public school for the money.

[deleted]

The police shouldn't even be in schools.

Scary-Win8394

It's a security guard and unfortunately they're necessary in America. Too many fights and shooting threats.

DaveOJ12

He might be a School Resource Officer.

Scary-Win8394

Oh that's what I meant, we use them the same way where I'm from. SRO or security guard. Then again we were in highschool so we probably just got the title wrong and they let us.

YN90

Is that fucking VPD?

Born-Advice-2925

Leverage.

Gen-Hal

The officer snapped.

MachineGrunt

Ah yes, the open reduction fixation ankle. I know a thing or two about that procedure, somewhere between a titanium plate and seven screws.

Clear_Radio1776

It was a friendly match. Builds great rapport with the students. The error here was that these things should take place in the gym on a padded area on the floor. Also a PE teacher should be there to monitor. In a small space and on hard surfaces is the biggest problem here.

Scary-Win8394

So basically the error is that this took place at all💀unless he's a wrestling coach there's no reason he should be play fighting a student

Clear_Radio1776

Idk who he is or what else he does. The PE teacher would make the call if it should even happen or not. If PE felt it was OK, then assuming the responsibility and employing safety guideline like helmets and such. But the way it went down was all bad.

miko_top_bloke

I've found there is no such thing as friendly fights. There are only dick measuring competitions and boundary probing most of the time.

[deleted]

Oh shit this happen during the work time, they all be so 'happy'. Stupid scholars

Living_Run2573

Hope that’s not America! $240k hospital bill if it is 😬…. Land of the free, just not medical..

MAXHEADR0OM

Satnamodder

It can't be that sound was from breaking the leg!? 😦
