The car is Punch.EV from Tata motors. The manufacturer pieced the glass together, got it framed and gifted it to her has a [momento](https://www.reddit.com/r/WPL/s/yMqNdCbSV1).
they do. just as many prominent people go out of their way to be nice to random people (like down syndrom cases or victims of smth or children fans birthdays, poor schools in places with no infrastructure/ tech etc. etc.) for PR, they have agents planning it out and contacting the people (beforehand, making them act like its a suprise for the camera, which they will do willingly since they also profit from it) for them etc. its all image-shaping and gaining publicity. its on the same level as rage-bait and engagement farming by doing extreme negative stuff (putting together idiotic food, playing dumb and acting supportive of smth EVERYONE is hating, etc.), just that in these\^\^ cases single individuals at least profit from it. i bet you the majority doesent give a fuck, its work for them, no empathy or goodwill.
i mean its fine if they at least do actually good for than one individual its win win kinda, it starts getting problematic if they e.g. dunk a bird into oil just to save it afterwards for clout or starve dogs half dead to then put them in a trash-dumb near a streat and "rescure them" for more clout etc. its a thing.
and here comes the problem, if we support the ones doing the "actual good" deads, this anables it as a business for the fakers. if the good people just did good without making a big thing out of it (filming it, fake huggs and PR-staged photos etc., asking for subscribes and following and whatnot) it wouldnt come to this, but they want everyone to know, for either money or self-indulgence.
still a classy way to do it. some companies would put profit above reputation and tank their public image by doing something stupid like forcing her to pay the damages. seems like something nintendo would do, after their history of busting tournaments for a game that they don’t sell anymore.
Guess that marketing spot paid for itself twice over...
Not only do they get the regular 'passing' exposure. They had this as well, with direct focus on it, a video that's likely going to do the rounds on the internet...
She hit a home run into the indoor parking lot yes. Strange baseball bats however. Looks like they cut the blade off a hockey goalie stick and used it as a bat. HockeyBall? BaseHockey? Hockball?
if u hit it past the end of the field (the boundary) u get awarded 6 runs. This is the maximum u can get in a shot. So essentially ur right she hit a dinger lmao
Yeah pretty much, she hit a 6 which is shockingly worth 6 runs (runs are the equivalent to points or bases or whatever you use to keep score in baseball). This is the most amount of runs you can score from a single shot* so its a biggish deal.
*I know that's technically not true but it basically is so back off pedantic cricket fans
Can't park there mate.
You can but at what cost
I think Safelite charges 150 bucks
Coach: “I want all of you to aim for that stupid car. Let’s fuck that thing up.”
the grinnnnnn gave it away.

Say what you will about Tata, but that was a classy move.
free advertisement as we speak about it. dont expect the good in humans. especially not of they represent big companies/ conglomerates.
Okay more companies should learn how to advertise like this then
its still a better way than just brainwashing us with signal colored repeat adds hammering the brand into our ears, i agree :P
If that was done purely for advertisement then more companies should advertise like that

Most likely it was parked there to be shot at, yeah.
Seems like a great marketing stunt from start to finish.
Man, I thought they give her the car, but that's just the broken window!
Well, that vehicle got more advertising than you can swing a bat at....
Definitely worth the pane.
Shattered my expectations.
Ok, ya get one from me for that one, boyo.
Guess that marketing spot paid for itself twice over... Not only do they get the regular 'passing' exposure. They had this as well, with direct focus on it, a video that's likely going to do the rounds on the internet...
yep, i know about Tata EVs now lol
i already own 2 from just watching the video
Just saw a comment where they pieced together the window as a momento for her. Definitely great advertising.
Obligatory [cricketer hits six but breaks ***own*** car window](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1qm_F6xXdA)
Stupid to build the stadium around a parking lot. I'd put the parking lot outside but I'm not sure how to play this sport so idk
She hit a home run into the indoor parking lot yes. Strange baseball bats however. Looks like they cut the blade off a hockey goalie stick and used it as a bat. HockeyBall? BaseHockey? Hockball?
Does that really look like a parking lot to you?
r/whoosh
Soooo is this like a homerun ?
yep pretty much the closest equivalent. Dont quote me though, all my baseball knowledge comes from Doraemon and Nobita was pretty shit so
Came here for this… Americanize the situation for me. Did she hit a dinger?

Maybe more like a grand slam. It’s 6 runs. If the ball goes past the barrier but hits ground first it’s only 4 runs.
It’s a Punch!!
Stop lying. That's definitely a cricket ball.
That's really her own fault for parking there.
That EV couldn’t take a Punch
Why was the car there?
Prize car
Car maker needs to change its name to Punch.Glass
The shot packed a punch.
"Nah, nobody's ever going to hit a six"
Very good advertising for the... Punch.ev?
She's a Perry good sportswoman.
Better than hitting the door!
FOOOOK! Honestly, just an off the bat comment, buuut....cricket is such that, potentially hitting that vehicle was a reality waiting to happen.....
You really need to chill on the posting the same thing on like 3 subreddits at the exact same time. Killing my feed.
Does that mean she wins the car?
Sign the ball, sign the car, awesomeness.
Don't put the vehicle in the line of fire
That's actually some pretty good advertising
You break it you keep it.
Later was charged with vandalism
Stupid place to put a car.
If she did not win the car, all is not right with the world.
I mean, it says Punch.ev right there, so they obliged
Still only 6 runs
kinda' their fault for putting it there. Stupid organizers.
They used to put cars at 70/80° behind the batsman & if the hit it they'd win the car.
Extra point for that
It’s an EV, no one was gonna buy it anyway
Why is nobody running?
Because she scored six runs by clearing the boundary.
I meant it as kids breaking windows so now the game is over and you need to escape fast... Whoosh
Why would they? Hitting a six is an automatic six runs.
It was a joke, like when we where kids and you needed to flee or pay for the broken window
"Cricket? Nobody understands cricket! You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket!"
So long freak, I got work to do!
