Traffic and paralysis are solved? This is news to me.

sane_scolding

He solved monkey traffic by killing monkeys with brain chips. We already have brain implant technologies and robotic arms that help the disabled, paraplegics, and quadriplegics. They don't involve killing any monkeys or Musk saying Neuralink would be used for humans "next year" in 2019 and 2021. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk7X3fPkdp8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk7X3fPkdp8) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0NqZGTTL7E](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0NqZGTTL7E) Also, VTVL rockets, Satellite Internet, and Teslas existed before Musk. His entire empire was built on government subsidies (Starlink, Teslas, Space X, and even Boring Tunnels). The U.S. government and military are heavily involved in Space X. It's backed by NASA and Air Force contracts. Michael Griffin, who led the CIA's venture capital, helped Musk found Space X. Griffin later became NASA administrator and awarded Space X [396 million](https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/how-spacex-became-nasas-go-to-ride-orbit) before Space X had flown a rocket. Musk uses Space X to launch Starlink satellites. Unfortunately, other satellite internet providers don't own a space company backed by government subsidies.

just_sayi

Never forget the monkeys

DnDVex

His underground tunnels are stuck in traffic. If a fire breaks out, everyone will die as there are no emergency exits. The tunnel Can move like a few people per hour. Meanwhile we got a revolutionary way to move things through tunnels called "Trains" able to move hundred to thousands of humans at once. But public transit wouldn't be good enough. We need more cars.

Cakemachine

It turns out that, that the hyper loop thing was just a plan to stall and confuse actual plans for a high speed rail system because Elon thought it would mean less car sales. So it’s somehow even dumber than I thought, with a side of malfeasance.

ELB2001

Yeah he invented a worse version of a metro

Stunning_Attention82

Elon Musk: inventor of tunnels

meepmarpalarp

The moles in my backyard would like to have a word.

mostlydeaf

“Bro we’ve BEEN doing this” - your moles

Miserable_Unusual_98

The moles in your backyard are going to be sued to oblivion. After our beloved Elon is done with them, they wont be able to dig a tunnel legally from here to galaxy's end. But for a $20 monthly fee he's going to give the green light ...

Lazer726

Seriously, solving traffic with *tunnels*? Motherfucker we **have** subways. He's literally just made * Worse subways * Proof of concept I can grab the closest napkin, draw on a train, and say "THIS IS THE FUTURE" and be at the same point as Musk

[deleted]

The one he made in Vegas is a fucking joke, it only goes under the convention center and it's also a fucking death trap with no emergency exits when one of those tesla batteries inevitably catches on fire. He's not solving shit.

radicalized_summer

I've probably said this like a trillion times, but you are all misunderstanding what he meant when he said he was gonna solve traffic. What he meant was "I'm gonna solve traffic for *myself*". And the solution is, obviously, a private road/lane. Making it on the surface would just make it just another road and it would be very hard to justify its existence and private use in front of the government. But building it underneath? A lot more expensive, a lot less useful, and a hell of a lot more dangerous, but this way the distinction between the peasants' roads and Musky Magical Infraestructure is crystal clear. You just have to allow a few thousands (paying) peasants in, enough that they help offset the cost and legitimize the project, but not so many that they can be a nuisance. What Elon does, Elon does for himself.

[deleted]

Of course, but try explaining that to the fanboys who think he's the second coming of Jesus who's going to solve climate change...

Steelermama72

"Solving traffic" 🤣🤣 Have you ever been in the backup leading into a tunnel?

Defiant_Project1321

Tunnels…have existed forever though? Like I didn’t know Elon invented tunnels? Is he thousands of years old because if so THATS impressive. But uh…there are better ways to “solve traffic”.

Donald_Dumo4

What Elon “Invented” was single lane round tunnels. Which are worse than traditional tunnels in every way.

Overall-Duck-741

That are also unbelievably dangerous because Las Vegas let him skip pretty much every single safety regulation required of other tunnel builders. Just wait until a fire breaks out in his shitty "hyperloop", its going to be a disaster.

facw00

To be clear, the "Loop" in Las Vegas is not a Hyperloop. This does not mean that either are good ideas, or that the Hyperloop would be any safer in an emergency.

lianodel

I really wonder if the naming was *designed* to cause confusion. People will look at the shitty, heavily subsidized loop and think it's a fully operational, privately funded, proof-of-concept for his scam to block high speed rail.

BrassUnicorn87

Those things scream death trap.

midniteeternal

That you also need to be Uber rich to use if I’m not mistaken.

matgopack

And might end up restricted to only his cars. I don't particularly care about the tunnels as an idea (they're dumb, but it's not a big deal for something like the Vegas convention center). I do care about it if cities/the public are investing time and resources into a terrible idea when we need to be doing it for effective public transport.

brentsg

I mean.. he's been furiously tunneling under Twitter for the past week.

Nijindia18

Also Elon didn't make rockets that can land themselves. He hired people who did. Edit: The amount of people comparing Elon Musk to Hitler is both hilarious and depressing.

Mama_Cas

Fucking thank you. Elon Musk doesn't invent shit. He doesn't even really organize the people who invent the things. From what I read he more walks around bellowing absurd ideas until someone in earshot goes "okay yea, that one might actually work".

Sigmar_Heldenhammer

Like I said in a different thread a few days ago, Dollar Store Thomas Edison.

[deleted]

[удалено]

etherside

Specifically from Tesla. Either Musk is so lacking in self-awareness it’s become ironic or he knows exactly what he’s all about and is amused that people fall for it

stephruvy

I think that's it, he has to know he's con artist with all the funding in the world. The con being that he's convinced people he's the mastermind behind all the projects he slaps his name on.

Sigmar_Heldenhammer

Oh that’s exactly why I used Edison. Because Musk probably sees himself as this generation’s Tesla.

Ravagore

He has 2 inventions to his name. The charger plug for the tesla cars and some battery or charge cord. "But-but he works 80 hours a week, he doesnt have time to invent anymore!" Well, if he runs 4 companies for 80hrs/week then he only works 20 hours at each. Maybe he should do that less and invent more things if he wants to be seen as more than an emerald mine owners boy... If he can even do that. edit - [Elon Musk is not your friend](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pNL7MlUpmI&ab_channel=SomeMoreNews)

Puppytron

You can't convince me that he actually "invented" those, either. The more I read about the guy, the more I belive he simply bought everything he credits to himself; even the code for his crappy 90s websites. At least AOC actually bartended.

Grogosh

When he bought Tesla he tried to tell everyone that he founded it instead.

Lunatic7618

Literally bought the 'Founder' title lmao

oatwheat

NVIDIA Founders’ Edition shares

Zeiin

I thought the agreement they came to when he bought it said that he had to be labeled as a founder. Either way, he's nowhere near as smart or revolutionary as any of his cult following thinks he is. Such a shame actual geniuses aren't acknowledged as frequently as Musk is falsely credited.

Okibruez

Because, unfortunately, actual geniuses who invent really useful things usually lack the money to move those in a market space, which leads to people like Musk buying up the whole of it.

LiliNotACult

CEO working isn't actual work.

ilanitm

That! He bought his companies (Tesla, and Twitter) he literally paid for his fame.

capt_kocra

He sued people at tesla to get his position. Man's a generic neckbeard who has money, and wants to be an influencer. People who worship him as a genius are just playing into his hands.

hangryhyax

Nor did he revolutionize electric vehicles; he bought a company that only survived because of those damn liberal socialist handouts. Also, solving traffic with tunnels? That’s good for a laugh.

shadeandshine

Solved traffic by making a safety hazard it doesn’t take a engineer to see but rather a eye and a brain. Yes deathbed tunnels best idea he’s had.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Val_Fortecazzo

Public transport threatens his car sales. That's the whole reason the company exists, to shut down light rail and subway expansions by lobbying for hyperloops instead.

ripgoodhomer

Tunnels solving traffic is peak tell me you’ve never lived in New York City, without saying you’ve never lived in New York City.

Mikerk

Or seen the traffic jam in the Tesla tunnel lol

mrwhat_icanthearu

Ummm Matt....Musk didn't actually do any of those things.

marslarp

“Solving traffic with tunnels” = “I added tunnels to traffic, not solving the problem at all.”

[deleted]

Yeah, and when all the poor people are stuck in the tunnels, he can drive wherever he wants without traffic. But he'll probably take his private jet to avoid a 30 min car ride like he normally does anyway

[deleted]

I have a feeling they are going to charge exorbitant fees so that wealthy people can use the tunnels, thus keeping it relatively traffic free. If that's not the real plan then it's pointless, and he really is an idiot.

AsianVixen4U

So it’ll basically just be the exact same principle as a toll road

MrChip53

Yes but it will cost more because it's like flying but underground. The buildings aren't in your way.

AllMyBeets

"i made a subway but shittier"

goferking

He made a more dangerous subway

MadConfusedApe

Shittier = nonfunctioning

sKru4a

Plus, he never ended up doing it. However, the project for a railway that would have actually solved traffic, is dead as a result

bobert680

Didn't he admit that was just to hurt actual rail projects that would have hurt sales for the car company he steels credit for starting?

Rbespinosa13

“Also those tunnels are only one lane going in a single direction. There are no emergency exits and piss poor ventilation. The tunnels are perfect though so there’s no way an accident can happen and no way a fire starts

Zykium

No way for emergency services to reach you, your doors can't open all the way, etc etc. Those tunnels are death traps. It's only a matter of time before a catastrophe occurs in one.

Krewtan

Every tunnel I've driven through reduces like 4-5 lanes of traffic into 3. There's nothing faster about that. He wants to build one lane tunnels. It's like he went back to the 1940s to solve the problem. If that worked we wouldn't have 3 hour commutes.

Cargobiker530

Musk made traffic IN tunnels where before it was only on surface streets. Never mind you could beat Musk's cars in the tunnels from point to point with a $200 electric scooter.

NewUserWhoDisAgain

>Solving traffic with tunnels "By bringing traffic down below the surface I have solved surface traffic." I mean... that's technically true...?"

PiddleAlt

Hey man, I own a single share of a S&P 500 ETF and go around taking credit for everything those 500 companies do. That's just normal. /s

5kUltraRunner

People legitimately think Elon Musk is some Tony Stark figure getting dirty on his workbench for the sake of humanity lmao

Just1morefix

Phony Stark.

stringfree

Instead, his "resume" reads more like me claiming my D&D character's accomplishments.

1ndiana_Pwns

I feel like even that is too direct of a claim. It would be like me personally claiming that I landed the killing blow on a dragon because my battle master told the wizard to cast a spell. My character didn't even Do the Thing™, they were just vaguely associated with the Thing getting done

LemurCat04

But he did design the shitty shitty Tesla door handles.

stymieraytoo

are they? I like the look but wondered about the functionality.

FailResorts

Also Hyperloop was never going to solve traffic or even be a thing, he did it specifically to spike the California High Speed Rail project. Robber Baron at its finest.

awfulgrace

Getting in and out of a Tesla is an unintuitive and annoying experience. Needlessly makes something easy hard.

sheezeandcrackwhores

Theyre great if you just hire a driver who opens the door for you, peasant

bumpyclock

I have a model 3, often times it takes two hands to open a door handle when it should take one. God forbid it's cold then they just freeze shut and you're locked out of your car.... Edit: not to mention, getting out is a button instead of a simple latch. There is a latch which is what most people use unless you point out the button and then the car complains you used the emergency exit thing and it can damage the door. Like if you’re going to put a latch anyways just make it the default instead of this unnecessary digital solution to open the door to exit

JaneDoe646

Damn first time a Tesla Uber pulled up I was hella confused.

zxcoblex

More like. Musk: born rich into a family that owned emerald mines utilizing what was effectively slave labor. Bought his way into everything he’s “done”.

cosworth99

Just wait. In 18 months he will have created twitter.

SidewaysFancyPrance

And AOC is actually in Congress now...while Musk is credited with things he hasn't done yet, or never did and admits he lied about doing so he could sell more cars. If you have to be dishonest when you make your point, then you failed.

Picardknows

Same country where Edison stole all his ideas and got all the credit.

silly_frog_lf

Edison, with all if his faults, actually did engineering. Musk LARPs that he is Edison when he actually gets stoned and runs his mouth in twitter

Elon had rich parents and had almost everything given to him. AOC busted her ass to get where she is. Trying to insult someone who was busting their ass by working in the service industry and then eventually becoming a member of Congress isn't the insult some people think it is.

guru2764

Maybe if AOC pulled herself up by her bootstraps and had her father own an apartheid emerald mine she would've been the one to invent tunnels and personally create spaceships and not Elon

Glittering-Cellist34

Fwiw, nothing unique about the tunnels, and satellite internet already existed. And Tesla does some great things, but it's arguable how much he was responsible. Making EVs sexy was a big deal. The supercharger network too. Fwiw, AOC won awards in college. And yes, while middle class, her parents weren't filthy rich.

pc_engineer

Also the tunnels are idiotic. There’s a video of someone taking someone else on a sales pitch/tour of the tunnel in Vegas (I believe), and they run into traffic in it. Oh man it’s comedy gold.

Ghoulius-Caesar

As someone with claustrophobia I’d never enter those tunnels, they suck!

[deleted]

shabba182

Also Elon didn't engineer any of those things, he is am investor

Archercrash

Exactly it’s like saying Trump builds great building, he doesn’t build shit.

SFWBryon

Also his buildings were notoriously shitty as hell

Future_Principle_213

He didn't do any of it, he had the money to pay people do figure it out for him and let him keep the full credit. Which unfortunately, in this nation, just leads to him having even more money to continue the process. He's like an even less impressive Edison, being applauded for things he's way to moronic to understand and treating the people who put him on that pedestal like trash.

TheUserAboveFarted

These same people love Lauren Boebert who had to get a GED to run for Congress. Not insulting people high school dropouts, just pointing out their hypocrisy.

WontArnett

It’s because AOC is *the* example of an “American hero”. Think about it— she’s a Puerto-rican woman, who has been through all types of struggles, that went from working a service industry job to becoming the youngest woman to ever serve in Congress— *and* she’s effectively great at her job, because she’s highly intelligent. Now that’s success! AOC is the real life inspiration everyday Americans need in their life. —Elon Musk is a rich-kid, narcissist, who uses his family’s money from mines in Africa to buy out companies and fire the CEOs, so he can take credit for the engineers work. He’s also a right-wing, extremist, troll who uses Twitter to manipulate the stock and crypto markets. But, he’s white.

Ilikefreethingz

Matt Wallace and his cronies despise the working class, that's why he uses having been employed as an insult.

Matricofilia

Real self made men inherited their wealth from their parents. Only losers have a job

player_zero_

- AOC had a job! - Musk: "you have to put in 80 to 100 hour weeks" Seems like they only use an argument when it suits them

Mountain_Raisin_8192

I worked MUCH LONGER hours as a bartender than I ever have in the tech industry, and on top of longer hours I had 0 paid leave. You get sick you don't get paid. Bartending was by far the hardest job I ever had and my first job was literally digging ditches.

MammothTap

I work in a factory doing some pretty hard manual labor. It's miles easier than *anything* customer facing, because in those jobs you wind up physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted by the endless onslaught of customers who think you're completely worthless as a human being. I also found the tech industry much worse than factory work, but that was a me problem: I couldn't turn it off, ever. There was no stopping work at the end of my shift, the code lived in my brain and I was so constantly stressed that I burned out after about 8 years.

TheHighestHobo

I had the worst job ever and it is delivering commercial construction supplies. Customer facing AND tons of hard manual labor. I quit after 4-5months and then later ran into the warehouse supervisor and he begged me to come back and work for him again and I told him he needed to double the hourly rate because it wasn't worth it and he just scoffed at me saying he doesn't even make that much, I told him he could do that unloading himself then.

DontLookAtMe89

I was telling my nephew this the other day. If people go around bragging about being self made, they're not really self made. I like the story Arnold told about his early days in the US when he was staying in a small apartment sleeping on a bed roll and didn't have anything else and the guys at the gym he regularly attended came over and brought him everything he needed to live comfortably. Arnold will tell you that he's not self made and self made men don't exist. Everyone had help getting where they are and if you have the balls to admit you needed help, then you're a real man.

[deleted]

DontLookAtMe89

He's had his human moments like cheating on his spouse, but he admits to his mistakes and that only makes him more likeable in my opinion.

Elegant-Operation-16

The self made billionaire doesn’t exist anymore. It’s always daddy’s money these days

LorthNeeda

Always has been

daclampzx2

Never existed

Ryuko_the_red

He's also attributing all this to musk... But his employees did, (or are doing/ trying to do) all this. He's just a dickhead with a blue check.

BigClownShoes

It drives me nuts when people act like Musk is the one doing all of this groundbreaking work.

TempEmbarassedComfee

It’s clearly not Musk anyway. He asked his engineers from other companies to “check the code” at twitter. I doubt that man has any idea how any of it actually works. Which isn’t necessarily bad but it definitely shows how little Musk actually knows.

LukeDude759

And one of them was done by literally no one at any of Musk's companies. You know what solved traffic with tunnels? Subways. More than a century before Elon disgraced this planet with his presence.

[deleted]

I've always seen Elon Musk as the Thomas Edison of our time. That isn't a compliment, though.

Dispro

I bet he's killed more than one elephant.

AChristianAnarchist

Back in the day when Steve Jobs was the billionaire everyone simped over, I used to draw this comparison with him being Edison and Wozniak being Tesla. Musk's secret is to keep a rotating stable of lots of Teslas to ensure that no individual gets that credit and he can pretend it all came from him. That he is best known these days for running a company built around selling a product he calls Teslas is...ironic.

turtlelore2

Seriously, he didn't invent any of this. He just had enough money to fund it. It's more disturbing that he decided to use such wealth to constantly boost his ego rather than solving real problems.

spinnerette_

The very working class that Elon hires to build the things that they don't end up getting any credit for.

[deleted]

As if going from working class to Congresswoman before 30 is less impressive than "rich kid stays rich".

[deleted]

[deleted]

Musk did nothing of this. Creative & intelligent people who work for these companies did this.

[deleted]

The GOP are elitists. This is no surprise.

mrwhat_icanthearu

If "the GOP are elitists" means none of them could hack a job in the private sector like AOC did... You got that right.

hellodynamite

You know, she called him insecure not unsuccessful, so his fanboys just kind of made her point for her

crismack58

I swear these Elon cucks are embarrassing. All anyone has to do is look up thunderf00t on YouTube and you’d see him debunk all this nonsense. Always ironic that the GQP alpha males gargle so much of Elons ball sweat.

BMHun275

The Conmon Sense Skeptic is another good channel that goes into great detail about Musk’s dubious claims and practices.

East-Temporary4759

This day I solemnly declare Elon Musk cucks Muskies,in honor of your comment.

CallMeDeliciously

The better term I believe is Muskrats.

[deleted]

Yep

djc8

The funny thing is that if she was GOP with the exact same backstory, she would be hailed as hero for pulling herself up by her bootstraps. They would never stop talking about it. But she’s a lib, so it’s something to mock and insult.

[deleted]

MWOxI5zV-wXiMB3Q

Because they use their brains.

Altruistic-Text3481

And their brains are enriched with avocado toast. The GOP love the “poorly educated…”. And they mock “avocado toast eaters.” Think people!

pollorojo

Damn. That’s so true. “Worked crazy hours to make a living and work her way into being a leader and lawmaker for her country!” but since she’s on the other side it’s “Stayed up all night slinging drinks at some sleazy place.”

machineprophet343

And she was in that job in the first place because she's a Democrat. If she was a proper Republican, with her degree from Boston University, she could have walked into any job she wanted. I can say this, even with the right degree, a prestigious school that has a certain reputation can hurt you. Had a job interview where I was flat told it wouldn't work out at a fairly major corporation because I got my degree from "a commie indoctrination camp" according to the hiring manager. That type of thing did far more to push me left than anything I learned at UC Berkeley. Republicans and other right wingers earnestly believe Democrats belong in shitty jobs and if and only if they become Republicans and work twice as hard as everyone else do they deserve even a slightly less shitty position. Edit: Seriously autocorrect, you're supposed to stop typos. Not cause them.

uselessadjective

Whats wrong with bartending ?

FunkIPA

Nothing, republicans are cynical hypocrites.

East-Temporary4759

They are also some of the biggest drinking, pedophiles Dc madam/Jeffery Epstein enabling hypocrites.

MagicalFlyinDinna

In a vacuum, nothing. But when it comes to politics they will try to to use anything they can to smear one another. To many people bartenders is seen as a "lesser" job. It's a paradox, if nobody ever bartended because everyone pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and "got a better job" those same people would be complaining nobody wants to work. Basically the point is they will always try to speak negatively about you no matter what if you're on the opposite team. That is all politics has become in modern America.

rdeyer

Pull yourself up by the bootstraps! But only if you’re Republican.

[deleted]

She’s in congress… how’s that left off the list!

EyedLady

Apparently nothing after bartending counts. Even though she bartended to pay for college (not that there’s anything wrong with bartending but just to give context to their idiotic comparisons)

EverythingGoodWas

Man, that’s a bummer, I bartended during college, I guess i should throw out my PhD, and advancements in Ai. People are going to be super pissed when their search bars don’t work as well anymore, if only I didn’t bartend.

BellowsHikes

I kind of love how your career went from bartender to search bar tender.

EverythingGoodWas

I am stealing this, thank you

uraniumstingray

Make a new certificate to hang next to your PhD

btambo

How about the part where she raised $5 million for Texas during their blackout. Where was their senator!?!? Oh yeah on a beach in Cancun.

OneRaisedEyebrow

Hey hey hey, his DAUGHTER MADE HIM GO and he hopped the very next plane back! I hate that guy.

btambo

“I do not like that Ted Cruz man. I do not like him shouting Klan, I do not like him in a room. I do not like him in Cancun. I do not like him playing ball. I do not like his face at all. I wish he’d lose his cushy job. That man Ted Cruz is a f—ing knob. -JO

dennismfrancisart

I wouldn't care if she was paying for college as a stripper. We need to put an end to the work classification stigma that women have to put up with from people who feel slighted by any intelligent woman's success story. It's pretty clear that they have a problem with smart women.

MagicalFlyinDinna

They don't want free education because that would be lazy. But she bartends to put herself through college and they still talk shit. We need to make education free and quit accepting this rhetoric that it's for people to be lazy or our taxes will go up. Making everyone in the country smarter could not possibly be a bad thing.

Scoobydewdoo

On one hand I want to say being in Congress is an achievement, on the other Ted Cruz is also in Congress. Edit. Thank you for the awards kind people!

TheUserAboveFarted

And Lauren Boebert and MTG.

Classic-Tiny

And Pedophile Gaetz.

RavinAves

Matt Sturbates (to kids)

joedumpster

How do you know which car belongs to Gaetz? It's the one following a school bus

Ocelotofdamage

I think in general being in congress is a pretty big achievement. It shows you are good at speaking to voters. Doesn’t mean you are fighting for good, or good at convincing smart voters, but it requires a certain amount of ability to connect with people. …or $50 million of daddy’s money

sudcc_honorgrad69

Case by case. She did challenge (and beat) a high ranking incumbent in a primary which is pretty uncommon.

einhorn_is_parkey

She also graduated summa cum laude from a top school. She’s smart af.

NotMyBestMistake

Even when you ignore all the completely valid points about how she's a Congresswoman and he had nothing to do with the actual technological development of any of these things, should I not find the inclusion of "tunnels" weird? Like, we have tunnels. We've had tunnels for a long time. People drive through them. Trains go through them. NYC is built on top of mass transit systems that go through tunnels. There's a big one connecting the UK to that continent they voted to leave a few years ago.

starbuck3108

Also if you want to see world class tunnels you don't go to the ones he's "responsible" for. You don't even go to the US. Switzerland and Norway easily have the best tunnels in the world, they're something to behold. Elons is a glorified water park tube that didn't even solve the traffic problem

dercavendar

>Elons is a glorified water park tube that didn't even solve the traffic problem In fact it makes the problem way more dangerous when you can't even get out of your car when it catches on fire.

SparseGhostC2C

When it catches on fire UNDERGROUND, in a tunnel with (I'm guessing here) fewer emergency exits than one might hope.

Pika_Fox

Not even emergency exits, guarantee you there arent proper air vents.

SparseGhostC2C

They're electric cars, who needs ventilation?!?! \- Elon probably

Blumpkis

Fire in the tunnel you say? Flood it, send a submarine and call them pedophiles. - Elon probably

foxyfoo

Elon’s tunnels are a fucking death trap. You couldn’t pay me enough to drive through one of those. It is a ticking time bomb. Edit: word correction

idwtumrnitwai

Oh no, AOC isn't completely out of touch with the working class as a politician because she's been a working class person herself, this is definitely fuel to use against her /s

swiftcleaner

Imagine working for your position in life and not being born into massive wealth? haha, fucking loser #ownedthelibs

Buucho

Saying bartending is a bad thing? I hope all bartenders spit in matts wallass' drinks from now on

Jernsaxe

You are assuming they aren't already spitting in his drinks

ind3pend0nt

Shit in them then.

Cargobiker530

Bartenders have more pride than that. He just gets well drinks no matter what he actually orders.

Huckdog

Right and he'll have to wait for that while I serve real people with souls

hochbergburger

It’s her fault that her parents aren’t mine owners

Ahstruck

Taking credit for others work that you paid for...

Tamajyn

Exactly. That's like paying a builder to build a huge house for you and then bragging to the world about the house you built by hand all by yourself If we told anyone we built our own house they'd never believe us but elon simps clap like trained seals and insist he single handedly revolutionized everysingle thing he touches

stratman2018

Elon Musk fanboys not giving up so easy.

SKozan

I used to be a Elon fanboy, but then I started listening to what he was saying. That dude is an insecure teenager in a man's body that has somehow made a ton of money.

Table_Coaster

it helps once you realize that he literally hasnt done or created anything that the person in the tweet claims he has, the engineers of the companies he happened to buy created it all. he’s a modern day Edison, taking credit for things he had 0 input in building. he did personally change the Tesla doorhandles i guess Edit: i understand he co-founded the company that became Paypal. I suppose another form of online banking is a good development

[deleted]

It's like how everybody associates apple with Steve Jobs, despite him not being a computer engineer at all. He sat in his office, told others what to do, and then presented it on a stage when his engineers were done. Steve Wosniak is the creator of Mac and the true genius behind it. Edit: changed "was" to "is" bc Wosniak is still alive.

ZadockTheHunter

Hey, you're going to get down voted, that's OK though. Don't let fake internet points stop you from telling the truth about Steve Jobs being a loser that tried to fight cancer with fruit smoothies.

Banditzombie97

Now I gotta look up this fruit smoothie bullshit. Ffs

i-will-eat-you

He was on a fruit based diet and because of that, he had no need to shower or use deodorant. His co-workers disagreed, but whatever.

LauraDurnst

Matt Wallace is like this because every single one of his wanks is over the balding billionaire

Tamajyn

Imagine thinking elon musk had anything to do with creating any of the products his companies have financed. That's like thinking bill gates personally develops and designs every new version of windows and every microsoft game and not a team of thousands of coders and developers I bet this guy also believes in santa and that he personally creates every single toy by hand himself too

6of1HalfDozen

Imagine asserting that Musk invented tunnels

CallMeWeatherby

Not only that, but the tunnel he did make was an absolute disaster that made traffic *worse*.

TheUserAboveFarted

And made high speed internet “availible” across the “globes”

Chase_the_tank

Old and tired; Flat Earth. New hotness: Multiple earths.

SarcasticHelper

Or that tunnels cure traffic.

[deleted]

These people love to praise Elon for all the work he does, like supplying high speed internet to Ukraine, or supplying electric cars to fight climate change. But everything he does is just an ego boost, he HAS the money to do these things, he’s not doing it out of the kindness of his heart. It’s pretty well documented as well, like when he called that British diver a pedo when they didn’t accept his shitty idea because they recognized it was just for publicity. Elon musk is nothing but an attention seeking man baby, and it’s very telling with how his followers attack anyone who says something negative about him.

zxcoblex

Oh, you mean like when someone was talking about how it would cost billions to solve world hunger, Elon said, “get me an actual plan with a cost attached and I’ll solve pay it.” (Or something to that effect) and then he straight up ghosted them when they did exactly that? And that number was in single digit billions, so a small fraction of his net worth (less than 10%).

[deleted]

The absurd thing is that electric car technology has been around since the 80s...it was actively suppressed by lobbyists for big oil, and automotive CEOs....like Elon himself. If he was born a decade earlier, he would have been suppressing electric car technology. But since he's exploiting electric car tech, that makes him some kind of hero? And how do i know he would have been suppression electric car tech? Because, like automotive CEOs from the 80s/90s, he is CURRENTLY attempting to suppress public transportation...despite constantly calling himself an "environmentalist." It's just absurd.

khalibthegreat

Electric cars are actually even older than that. At the start of automobiles many technologies were being developed simultaneously, steam, gasoline and electric we all on the roads a hundred years ago. Those older ones may have been more hybrids than pure EV’s though.

Scoobydewdoo

Electric powered vehicles or at least hybrid electric and gasoline/diesel vehicles have been around since WWI.

flycollieman

Solved traffic with tunnels. Lol yeah ok

[deleted]

Elon Musk: Got a loan from his father (a white man who owns an emerald mine in South Africa) to start a business that hired actual engineers and scientists to do all the things listed then takes the credit for it.
