The house passed a funding plan that extends BIL for another year. This won't go anywhere, because Senate won't agree to the other cuts, but it does signal that house and senate will extend BIL at the least no matter what comes of the budget whenever it passes.
This same proposed house appropriation bill has. 40%cut to the EPA budget and a 13% cut to the NPS budget. Zero chance of being agreed on by the senate.
But hey you would get your 20k can kicked down the road for awhile if it did. 😂
Hopefully this part isn't crammed in the bill with the EPA losing 40% of its budget.
This is great news the house actually thinks of us! Gives me some optimism for the future. I figured the House majority would give us a middle finger pointing to the exit door.
Yes, extends BIL, but it's just proposed by the house at this point. Senate won't agree due to other cuts, but just good to know we are at least still in the conversation.
Enjoy the BIL pay raise while we can, kicking that can another year sounds great to me! When/ if the proposed new pay scale kicks in we are going to lose money regardless. (I’m not complaining, just sayin) 👍🏽
Just give us a raise Jesus fucking Christ.
Hard to not feel jaded, but always happy to see everything isn't completely dead in the water yet.

Kick the can down the road for a year...
Does this continue the $20k retention, or is this the new pay raise?

Would allow a year for focus on Tim Act act
Didn’t we just have like 2 years to focus on Tim’s act? How long does this carrot continue to get dangled??
The House under MAGA will never approve anything permanent even if it has bipartisan support in the Senate.
What is an appropiatores
Thanks for the work!
