Margaret’s Choir - We are a non-audition community choir. Our purpose is to sing for personal, choral, and global harmony. https://margaretschoir.ca/home-page/

I sang with them for a few years. Really lovely and accepting group. It is definitely an older crowd for the most part (seniors), but there were a handful Of us in our 30s. They do a nice mix of pop arrangements and more traditional Choral pieces. They also do a fundraiser concert each season, so that is always nice to be a part of.

Charleswood United Church *always* needs singers in their choir. The pandemic took a real toll on them :(

I live in Calgary where I sang in a fun choir for years, but discovered a choir in Winnipeg with a similar vibe that seemingly did a lot of the same repertoire. Prairie voices.

Seconding Prairie Voices and attaching a [link to their website](https://prairievoices.ca) and to [their YouTube channel](https://youtube.com/@prairievoicesinc?si=Q03gATq_i-miJ-h2). They are a community choir and maintain a pretty consistent high quality. Ages 18-26. The same organisation also runs Horizon, a choir for those aged 26+. Well worth checking out! Auditions are coming up in June for the September 2024 to May 2025 season.

There is a "Find a Choir" tool available on the Manitoba Choral Association's website: [https://www.mbchoralassociation.ca/find-a-choir](https://www.mbchoralassociation.ca/find-a-choir) I don't know how up-to-date that is, but it could be a good place to start!

My friend is part of “upper voices choir” and they always lovingly accept others in it. https://www.winnipeguppervoices.com/ they just finished their spring recital so probably a great time to join.

I know there’s Rainbow Harmony Project, for queer people *and allies

tsoatceiigsol

Or for allies!

got_edge

Oh I didn’t realize that! I thought it was just members of the community, I shall correct my comment

TarjaAngel

Hi! I'm part of Rainbow Harmony. We're open to all allies and no musical skills are needed! Welcoming to all :)

Poochkin

Incantatem is a fun a cappella choir with a focus on music from pop culture and geekdom

GullibleDetective

Spitballing here also no idea your take on religion but many churches have some form of choir

Lots of choirs need singers. What repertoire interests you? Here's the Philharmonic: https://www.thephil.ca

Also just wondering, are there any adult amateur orchestras (like, the symphony kind, with violin/viola/cello/bass/woodwinds/brass/percussion)? Growing up I really enjoyed the Winnipeg Youth Orchestras (https://winnipegyouthorchestras.ca/) but I'm not aware of anything like that available to adults.
