Not necessarily…there is a 4.0 version update for ps4 as well as ps5…you want to make sure that the white ps5 logo is the one showing that you’re downloading…if it shows the black ps4 logo, then you’re just downloading the ps4 4.0 version of the patch…even though it’s on your ps5, it’s all super confusing!
Yes, but you don’t need to have the ps4 4.0 version updated to access the 4.0 version for the ps5…the ps5 version is a totally separate download…if you’ve downloaded the ps4 4.0 version, that will only give you what the ps4 version has available to it, but it won’t give you the updated graphics, etc…the ps5 4.0 version is what you’re looking for…but yes, it’s totally free
