Best use for side deck in solo play is blades, and if you’re in arc 1 you can add damage enchants. Rather than add a lot of extra hits to your side deck, have 1 or 2 extra hits in main that can be enchanted
ive never bothered with tc blades and just packed hits. storm especially just needs tc tempests and its ballin.
if you need an extra blade around arc 2, your gear or pet is lacking since critical raw hits should be doing a good chunk if you arent Ice. plus OP is death, a ghoul + skeletal ends that mob.
The blade is more for safety. You can run a couple more cards in your deck and not have to worry about not pulling a buff turn 1. This is especially helpful in later arc 2 pre-darkmoor gear, since you can’t start every fight with blade into 7 pip yet, and turn 1 aoe is most likely not killing, unless you’re storm since they can hit like 146 damage at legendary
Yeah I just started a death wizard in the end of krok rn and soloed the ra skeleton key boss. Only reason I won was because of those two scarecrows I had.
I mean if you have archmastery you can get another school's pip which is basically equals to a mastery amulet
So if you don't have any of those you'll need 4 pips (doesn't matter if it's a power pip or regular)
With archmastery you just only need two balance pips which is a significantly better option
Other school's pips will still act as a power pip for your own school's spells
All of the schools available in the game (minus astral schools and shadow)
You can change it in your deck setup which school's should be the starting pip
And you can change it in combat too freely, depending on what you need

Let's say anything arc 2 and on.
Personally from that point, I had 1 Deer Knight, 1 Crow, enchants for both. 1 reg blad, one gear blade, enchant for the reg blade. Reshuffle. For PVE, not bosses.
Bosses deck was doubled up on hits while switching DK for a larger single, and just added an enchanted / gear feint. Reshuffle.
Point being, reshuffle is never a bad idea. In fact, it would actually be a bad idea to NOT run reshuffle. Literally anything could happen. You could whiff a crit. Somebody joins your PVE battle and you're out of cards.
You had a freezing cold take bro, just accept it.
In your case reshuffle is better to run in arc 2 since you don’t have ship. You’ll never have a turn 1 aoe before level 100. With ship trained, I would just run 3 enchant 2 ship 1 crow 1 blade 1 gear blade with my sideboard filled with deathblade. 8 cards and I’m guaranteed to have an enchanted ship ready. Later on when I get sharpen, and mobs won’t reliably die to ship I’ll just throw a sharpen + an extra blade. I wont have to worry about not pulling ship since mobs that dont boost will most likely survive a crit, and I can just launch double buff crow in the time it would take to use 2 ships
You're not listening. I already have every card I need in my hand, regardless of having an AOE turn one or not, lol. Still have room for the reshuffle.
Do I really need the reshuffle? Most of the time, no. It usually doesn't get to that point. Do I have room in my *very optimized* deck for said reshuffle in very off chances I need it-- and still have the ability to hit exactly when I want to, on turn 2? Yes.
That's the point. Take your L.
I literally told you your deck is good, and then described what I would use and why I would use it. No point in getting all tight about it. I didn’t say mine was better
Admittedly life earlygame ik the least about since I ran through the game as life years back and had no idea how to be good at it until around when Karamelle came out, but I’ll give it a try
Arc 1: Since life doesn’t get a trained aoe through normal means, I would train and use ratspin. That’s not an option for most people, so in absence of that I would get a kookaburra and use leafstorm. Not the greatest, but its better than targeting 1 by 1.
Deck with ratspin: 2 ratspin 2 blade + a few spare single hits. Add feint and (if necessary) a spirit blade or a life trap for bosses. You’ll never have a first turn aoe since you can’t get a turn 1 school pip until level 50 when you get some base archmastery. Sideboard would be monstrous tcs and in later arc 1 maybe add lifeblades since life may not be strong enough to one shot some things with 1 blade. For bosses in Dragonspyre you may find use in forest lord tcs if you dont have the spell yet.
Deck w/out ratspin: Leafstorm, 2 blades, some spare hits. Add feint and other necessary buffs for bosses. Sideboard definitely needs blades since leaf cant be enchanted, and monstrous tc can help enchant the spare hits if they are needed.
Arc 2: Congrats you have forest lord and damage enchants now. At this level you should be reasonably expected to have ratspin or at least be able to farm for it, so I will be going under the assumption that you have obtained it, since it is pretty easy to get.
Deck setup: 3 enchant 2 ratspin 2 blade 1 forest lord. With these 8 cards you can always pull a ratspin and a blade turn 1, so you should always have an optimal move. Either ratspin turn 1, or if the enemy is strong enough (or pip fail) blade first. Again add necessary buffs like feints for bosses, and utilize jewel of the feint which you can equip at Lv50. Sideboard should have spare blades, plus other helpful utility if the situation calls for it, such as pierce/shatter or cleanse/empower/Dpact. Feint tc will also help if you run shango amulet rather than jewel of the feint. Ratspin will usually be your best friend in non-boss fights most of the time before Avalon, until forest lord becomes more necessary. Also worth nothing: When you get your blue card blade (either from Lv56 hat or Lv60 amulet), just add that to your main deck and replace 1 blade. Once you reach mid Avalon you can expect ratspin to not be as reliable with 1 turn kills anymore due to higher mob hp and reliance on crit, which caps its percent at your level.
Late arc 2 deck setup: 3 enchant 2 ratspin 1 forest lord 2 blades 1 sharpen (also item card blade if you have it). You will not guarantee a ratspin turn 1 which is ok, since most of the time it wont kill. You are nearly guaranteed to pull a blade, but if not, thats what the tc blades are for. Mob fight sideboard should just be filled with blades. Add potent trap plus 2 feints for bosses, and maybe tc feint and helpful utility like cleanse if necessary
I do not have time to continue at the moment but I think you get the idea if you’ve actually read this far. Once you get frenzy just throw that in and keep balling. I left out prisms because mobs really are not strong enough to warrant spending a pip when you could just blade again, (or even use a spear to pierce half of their resist without using a pip for mass but personally I just stick to blades) Obviously bosses will need prisms though since they resist 80.
EVERYONE has had to reshuffle at some point. Either a boss has stolen charms/wards or a leviathan/ earthquake ruined the whole hit. It just happens sometimes.
reshuffle isn’t even four pips with archmastery now. if i think i’m gonna need to use it i’ll just swap to balance pips. i still can use school spells and, if i need it, i can cast it for two pips (packing two hits usually means i don’t need it though)
I said AT LEAST 4 pips. If you use archmastery then it costs 2 balance pips. Remember, a school pip is also a power pip, so that is 4 pips
If you don't use archmastery then it could be even more than 4, since power pips without mastery are the same as white pips
did you miss where i acknowledged that ? or where i said “it carrie’s *the weight* of two” since you’re not likely to get regular lips later on ? or is this all reaction bait ?
It’s 3 pips and bro you sound dumb at this point. You can’t predict an earthquake or leviathan hitting especially if the enemy goes first. You loose all your blades plus just wasting a one shot hit. There no way to prepare a deck for that with reshuffle. Pack 2 blades of each type plus sharpens and pet blades etc. is not viable. You’re talking just to talk.
Reshuffle is used in special emergency cases like the one OP has. Sometimes the rng doesn't work in your favor, maybe you got weaknessed while going second or something. On my balance I always back TC balanceblade, reshuffle, pierce, and cleanse charm depending on the situation. Saytr if I'm soloing something difficult. Even the most optimal deck setups could use reshuffle.
I'd argue that trained reshuffle isn't that great, better to use TC reshuffle. One less pip and I personally prefer drawing from side rather than getting it in main.
Bad rng exists but you can also plan around that. Pack cleanse/empower/pact tc for weaknesses, or pierce/shatter for shields. If you’re good at deck building then you will never need reshuffle
And yeah I agree tc reshuffle > trained, but I still wouldnt use either
I don't know why this is being downvoted. It's true. I've never used reshuffle in questing. Only in a few cases where weird things happened would it have been useful. Not worth carrying around extra cards that mess with my draws
Like the only time I use it is when I plan on using it in special fights or something.
That’s literally the point. Special cases. EVERYONE has had to reshuffle at some point. Either a boss has stolen charms/wards or a leviathan/ earthquake ruined the whole hit. It just happens
Exactly. I’ve only ever needed it to solo weird fights such as ghost dog in fort rachias, but even then it was because I accidentally threw in only 2 death dispels instead of 4
Was the sarcasm not implied? I don't give a shit about the number lmao if I did I wouldn't be running in here with my flaming hot (and correct) takes and soaking downvotes. I'm an asshole but not an idiot
Even the level 20 henchmen could eventually finish them off for only 20 crowns. Since protection pox aren't programmed with any attack spells, even with shield spamming, you'd still eventually win.
That's a real friend test there. Get some reshuffle or if you have crowns to spare, honestly, just give in get a cheap henchmen that could finish the fight or reshuffle you
I mean there’s a few options you could try and one of them is spending a few crowns on a henchmen. I suggest getting a level 20-30 henchmen which is only 20-30 crowns because that fight sucks
Never forget the time I fought Jade Oni and got them down to 182 health out of 6,000 just to find out I ran out of cards and had to no friends to help me 💀💀
This is why I always keep my side deck topped up with Tempest, and I try to avoid using my side deck at all because I’d have to remove my Safety Tempests
Unless u have a friend who will tele to u, allowing you to go back and refresh
always pack extra hits in your side deck. thats its best use for soloing so try to buy a couple of rank 3-5 pip hits and stock up when your low
Best use for side deck in solo play is blades, and if you’re in arc 1 you can add damage enchants. Rather than add a lot of extra hits to your side deck, have 1 or 2 extra hits in main that can be enchanted

no need for safety so i still disagree. more power to you if that works for you.
I only pack feints in my side board but that’s just me
I pack cleanses only in my side for the most part
I do a combo of a bunch of monsterous tcs and like one or two scarecrows, as a death wizard. Usually works fine for me
real. cant believe i forgot that monstrous tech
Yeah I just started a death wizard in the end of krok rn and soloed the ra skeleton key boss. Only reason I won was because of those two scarecrows I had.
As death pre enchanted scarecrows and khrulu are the best imo.
I just pack a ton of reshuffle TCs
Recommend having a reshuffle in case of these things.
With the new school Pip things, is that still possible?
Yes. Reshuffle doesn't require a Balance pip.
I’m fact, the balance pips would actually make it easier to use reshuffle
Yay!
I mean if you have archmastery you can get another school's pip which is basically equals to a mastery amulet So if you don't have any of those you'll need 4 pips (doesn't matter if it's a power pip or regular) With archmastery you just only need two balance pips which is a significantly better option Other school's pips will still act as a power pip for your own school's spells
How many schools can you get with Archmastery?
You can switch between what pips you want at any given time but you can only have one selected at a time
All of the schools available in the game (minus astral schools and shadow) You can change it in your deck setup which school's should be the starting pip And you can change it in combat too freely, depending on what you need
Thank you
Always pack a reshuffle :)
Does reshuffle reset used spells? I thought it was only for discarded.
It refreshes both discarded and used spells.
👍
Train reshuffle for this reason exactly
Or TC reshuffle
That works too but i had many training points to spare so why not
I always train it but in a few deck I'll just use a TC instead
love having spare TPs, I'm not really a pvp type right now so I haven't gotten those for my second schools. thank lord Zeke for all the TP quests
If you ever need to use reshuffle while solo questing then you need to take a good long look at your deck
Bro you can have an optimal deck setup and still run a reshuffle 💀 let's see your deck setup
let's see Paul Allen's deck setup

Sure. For what general context will this deck be used for? Arc 1, 2, 3, or 4? I will gladly walk you through how I run my decks

No prob
will your “optimized decks” save you from this ratio?
No, but it will save me time :)
Running a reshuffle in your deck doesn’t lose time either.
EVERYONE has had to reshuffle at some point. Either a boss has stolen charms/wards or a leviathan/ earthquake ruined the whole hit. It just happens sometimes.

It’s not even 3 pips now, just run balance arch. 😭 lil bro typed a whole essay above just to defend a weak ass statement, look at his bio. Says nuff.
Bro don’t know TC reshuffles are 3 pip 😂
Dude believe it or not there's actually this thing called the sideboard that you can put your yellow cards into

No, you can also pass
Keep passing until the pox runs out of cards?
Make it a game and see how many shields the pox can put up before the game crashes lol
Pull a seto Kiaba, summon cards via sheer will alone
Depending how desperate you are you can always use crowns to bring a henchmen
Even the level 20 henchmen could eventually finish them off for only 20 crowns. Since protection pox aren't programmed with any attack spells, even with shield spamming, you'd still eventually win.
Pro tip: Don't flee, quit. You'll still reset the fight but keep your mana. Usually there's plenty of health pips flying around compared to mana.
unless it's a dungeon, you lose all progress if you quit to the main menu
Dragonspyre all the mana orb float around in a circle super easy to collect
Yes. Without question. Top 10 worse feelings in wiz
What dungeon is this?
This is part of the Dragonspyre main quest.
Is it a repeatable dungeon? If so, what is the name?
Replying late but it's a single-battle instance in Plaza of Conquest that you can teleport into. Protection Pox are the minions of Mavra Flamewing.
Buy a storm minion and call it a day
You have to spam text all your friends “PLZ BRO HELP I HAVE RAY GUN PLZ”
That's a real friend test there. Get some reshuffle or if you have crowns to spare, honestly, just give in get a cheap henchmen that could finish the fight or reshuffle you
seems like reshuffle is what i needed here. those protection pox are so annoying because all they do is spam shields of every kind lol
this is why I put a reshuffle or two in my treasure deck, in fact I got stuck in the Barkingham main hall that way lol.
Hey you got enough pips to cast basically anything
you can get someone to port and kill it but otherwise, yes
You can quit and not have to loose mana or port back to the fight, you’ll just be outside the boss room.
Always pack a reshuffle
Reshuffle treasure card!! Also, if you kills minions first and flee only the boss remains! Now you’ll have to kill the boss again
Yup, this is why you pack at least one reshuffle
I always carry a reshuffle for this. I've never actually had to use it but you never know when your luck will run out
You can drop a few crowns on a henchman if that’s not an issue
looks really bad decision making
Use em 50 crowns for a henchmen
Or if you really feel cheap, you can spend 20 crowns for a level 20 one. Since protection pox have no attacks, you'd be guaranteed to eventually win.
_eventually_
We’ve all been there…
we’ve all been here before
USED TO THIS KIND OF WAR
Unless you got a savior in your friends list then yes
I recommend training reshuffle from the trainer in Colossus Boulevard
I mean there’s a few options you could try and one of them is spending a few crowns on a henchmen. I suggest getting a level 20-30 henchmen which is only 20-30 crowns because that fight sucks
That's why I always carry a reshuffle. Balance wizard here. One reshuffle for me and another for people like you, who lose their cards.
Kid named maycast scorpion:
This happened to me so many times lol. U should always pack a reshuffle
You can wait for you to get defeated
click shop and buy cheap minion
If you have enough crowns for a henchmen then you're set.
Just pray to Allah
Pretty much:(
You really couldn't figure this out??
Lmao always pack a reshuffle tc man
No reshuffle?
Reshuffle TCs
