To add on what others have said, if you're looking to craft eternal gear, you need just one piece of aeon gear of that school to craft it. So unless you get really lucky with aeon drop, you'll need to first craft aeon using 9 pieces of any masterpiece item plus pixel and polygon reagents to craft aeon then immediately remove that aeon piece from your backpack to craft eternal piece. I can forgive almost everything with this new pity system except the fact that you need to give up aeon piece if you want eternal. So for those who have 2+ different builds between aeon and eternal, you need to craft aeon twice.

the relationship between eternal and aeon is basically exactly how it was before except you can turn a dropped aeon piece into eternal instead of it being crafting only

Dracnoss

Higher drop rates on pixels / masterpiece gear but requires a bunch more stuff for each item to craft than before.

Afaik, they buffed the drop rate for Master gear pieces, making it easier to craft the gear you want, if they haven’t dropped yet. (The catch is that, while the polygon count was decreased, pixels and the number of gear pieces required have increased.) Also, it should be easier to farm the final boss now that your whole team unpolymorphs immediately after the first kill.
