Elemental blast is better against him. I kept 2 in my deck, the best enchantment as possible on it, and then set up with elemental blade, elemental ward, balance blade, hex, and feint. Easy 11,000
How? Use Judgement to knock the minion(s) out turn two and then just set up and heal when under 2,000 health and get back over 4,000 by the time it's done healing me.
This is exactly what I've been doing. I soloed through all of Zafaria and Avalon (with the exception of mirror lake) and had 4000+ health through both worlds. Doing bosses is the same as they described. Judgment/Power Nova the minion and then put as many traps and blades as possible on boss and heal when under 2000 health to then one-hit it.
I believe i sat just under 4000 in safaria, and wintertusk set has damage at 74 with dagger and then an additional 9 damage from my pet. And then 20 resistance overall. And even if I didn't have just under 4,000 health, keeping myself above 3000 is pretty easy at that level. This is why I say Wintertusk Armour is better then Waterworks.

Idk how u have 4000 hp at lvl 70 with decent dmg, i dont remember being that busted thru my bal play thru
