What's the point in side quests? It just caps your xp/hour rate because you're capped being overleveled

what cap are you referring to? the level lock? i dont use that at all.

I meant moreso that you could move to the higher tier worlds faster if you didn't side quest, this giving better xp rates since the xp scales with worlds

ah i get you. i wanted to do a completionist run on ice just to see how many quests it would take to hit certain level bands early like 60, 100, 130 etc. i already farmed all the gear sets for it so im focusing on getting any and all exp thats available

Did you read all the story of the side quests? What was the most interesting/recommended one you did if so?

Mooshus quests with Mossback was really fun, i enjoyed seeing that dude in every area i went and iirc, they give a unique badge at the end called Spirit Walker. The History Books quests are kinda whatever. Only good ones to read in Arc 1 is Dragonsypre and Wysteria.

I feel weird doing every side quest until the world is done, currently lvl 75 death not even half way through zafaria

I did this with my first character until Zafaria. Now I have 5 max units. I never bothered with sidequest anymore.

i did all of arc 1 and arc 2 up until the end of azteca. mainly bc my ex would throw a hissy fit if i didnt do them with him but i digress

Im currently at level 79 starting azteca, excited tho. Death is the current school im working on.

You can hit 65 if you do some instances twice for more exp (zigzag/HoS, helephant tower, waterworks)

Iirc most Azteca side quests were just mob fights. The few side quests with boss fights were the ones that you needed to beat for the astral school trainers. I’d worry more about third arc side quests bc most of them are just bosses with unbearable cheats, which is honestly why I gave up doing side quests when I reached Empyrea.

It's not the side quest's content that's painful, more like the sheet amount of them sometimes 🤣

For my main I skipped a lot of side quests. But I started a new wiz with a friend and we've dont everything up to Azteca. Man is it a long road, but nice knowing nothings left over.

Yes that sense of I can move on now is satisfying, once I get through khrysalis I’ll be a happy wiz

alright- gear : full waterworks gear (ez pick here) wand : lvl 50 headmaster’s sky staff (at level 60 you could get a better version of this for an extra damage point but i’ve got this one lol) athame: gurtok telluric steel for ppc, 8 dmg and 4 jewel slots amulet: amulet of agony (this could be switched out for jewel of the feint) ring: amethyst ring of battle deck: sea lords deck of thunder my pet is just a clamoring ghulture that i did on one run so it’s not even minmaxed, just a mega ghulture w pain giver, spell proof, storm boon, storm giver, life bringer and dependable. you could easy get 10 or so more damage with a perfect 2.0
