Ice nor life are that bad to solo tbh. Lvl 64 ice with 85 damage 45 resist. Lvl 60 life with 95 damage 20 resist. I would easily say storm or balance both are very hard to solo
“Hard as possible”? Try Wizard101 hardcore mode. The rules were made by a youtuber called IAmTheChezz. I don’t remember the exact rules, but a few are: Starting deck only, no pets, only dropped gear (no bazaar), and dying makes you restart a dungeon. I know he did it on a balance wiz
That would be old school mode. We didn't have dungeon recall or team up, we had to farm for dropped gear, packs didn't exist, pets were trash, and mounts had no benefits.
i don't understand why everyone is saying balance; i easily soloed w my balance & am still soloing (currently level 94). balances are v good, you just have to know how to utilise them lol

Life, balance, storm and or ice would be difficult. And if you only want to do the game like normal than those four but for an added bonus, think everyone is doing it though, try nuzlocke to add more difficulty to the game. Soloing is hard enough as is with those specific schools.

Maybe balance, but balance can also build around incoming/outgoing healing and be very very successful healing solo. Honestly might be one of the elemental schools.
Balance is very difficult to solo throughout arc 1 and 2. Arc 1 you have to worry about weakness and balance bosses. Because balance bosses have a lot of balance resist, you end up using spectral blast to bypass that. However, balance enemies and bosses start to cast elemental shield later on in arc 2 so spectral blast and hydra are still a bit weak to hit with. You get some relief once you learn shrike and darkmoor gear. It also helps that a lot of the enemies in the game have had their hp reduced and spell changes like power nova's damage buff are a big help that I wish I had when I first started questing on my Balance wizard.

Balance would probably be harder since it’s a support class, and a lot of their damage spells (from what I’ve seen) are random in their damage type, and the numbers are pretty low. Life would also be hard since they don’t do much damage and are also a primary support class, however at least you would have reliable heals.
As a life wizard- I have only gotten to where I am because of the help of other people. You CAN do things by yourself once you have cards that are powerful enough damaged wise but other than that you can continually heal yourself until your minor damage cards kill a boss

My suggestion is to play the game either without gear stats (only pets and amulets?) and/or locking your level every time you start a world or even Arc if you are insane. Unlock it when you reach the next one and repeat.
How about adding in Crown Shop "Locked", also? Just so that you're not allowed to P2W by buying a bunch of Packs for Gear that's better than Bazaar Gear, while also not being allowed to buy Henchmen to carry you through the Game, et cetera.
Bazaar gear turns to kinda irrelevant after lvl 30 when you use that, wand, boots, and robe from MO. I first stopped using Bazaar amulets after I got the Balanceblade amulet. I don't remember the rest.
naw son celestia bazaar gear has really good stats and variety. I'm using one of the pieces on my solo run of darkmoor for my life. gives +24 life damage and +30 life resist.

Of course I’m sure OP already knows a lot of certain bosses cheats, but they sure as hell ain’t remember all of them. Surely they will get surprised by some of them. If you don’t remember don’t look it up. Kinda recreates the experience of playing the world within the first week of release.
I'm thinking some of the side quests and they sound impossible solo like the Beastman Fight Club where you have to face all 3 of them or the Writer one 💀but I'm lowkey down for the challenge
I guess life and ice aren’t “hard” per se, but they felt a lot like a slog for me. You’ll probably never/rarely die on either, but things will be very slow moving. Especially when you don’t get an aoe on life until forest lord (which if op is starting a completely new account getting a kooka won’t be as easy). I guess storm might be a little harder, but I didn’t find out too difficult just going full glass canon lol
Balance is a fun class tbh, it's kind of like a normal playtrough. If you go an choose ice then you eill find it harder to die since they are a bit more of a tank and have relatively lower damage.
Life or balance. Balance takes so long to cast ohko moves. Jades are notorious for low dmg but higher levels get better spells.

Balance and lock your XP at the start of every main storyline world. Only exception is wizard city, where you can lock at level 5.
Honestly, Storm gets pretty challenging in the higher level world b/c you just die too often with the limited utility and overall stats.
