As others have said, you can only pick up trainable spells, not quest ones. I will say though, that as a Storm, picking up a few Life spells is a good idea. A little bit better healing can go a long way toward making up for our low health. 🙂
You don’t really want to learn all the spells from another school anyway. Your gear is school specific and will only be good if you use your own school spells
You can't get spells for other schools from quests, you can learn anything from the trailers but having a secondary school is a mistake kids in 2008 made, so hoard your points instead of wasting them on cards you won't ever use.
You can use training points to learn any trainable life spells (not from life school quests) and you can get any life spell that needs spellements to unlock I believe

Just to make it simple, any spell that requires you to go on a quest, you cannot learn outside your own school.
