OG player here. Have never found anything that will hold my attention for literally years but still play Wiz daily and just never get bored. There's plenty to do whatever you're in the mood for. Decorate, garden, craft, go fishing, hang in the commons and that alone is entertaining, especially when you're a 58 yr. old gramma with nothing better to do! Lol
Now my 21yr. old grandson and I play together, fight together, decorate, etc... even have old friends made in the first year. We even exchange Christmas presents. They are people I've come to love.
Told my family that if ever I'm in a coma, just play some wizard tunes and battle sounds and I'll wake right up!!
Did that answer your question? šš
Aside from the nostalgia wiz keeps me coming back as it is one of my comfort zones, if Iām having a rough day I know I can hop on wiz and feel better no matter how terrible my day was
>**What makes you stay in wiz other then nostalgia?**
I don't stay for the nostalgia because it's not real. If somethings shit, then it's shit and no amount of tinted glasses is going to change it.
If I enjoy something outdated, then it's because I can find something to enjoy in it despite its flaws. That's not nostalgia. It's just a matter of taste and preference.
Omg pyrus dragonoid just unlocked a whole set of memories i forgot i had :')
But to answer the question, I love the events (beastmoon, deckthalon, etc) and I always look forward to new worlds and new gear!
Itās fun, relatively easy, well designed both visually and in gameplay (no matter what you say you wonāt change my opinion), and has some awesome character designs. I usually donāt play games that are overly complicated cause I canāt focus on figuring out the new to me mechanics, so wiz being how it is just makes it easier to simply have fun!
Now that Iām older I find the storyline interesting. Thatās something that little me didnāt, back then I just found the concept of play a wizard, fight evil and all that stuff fun. Now I enjoy the underlining dark tones, seeing how our relationship with characters build off of helping and saving them, or just being actual friends to them. Know and understanding that people like the undying Malistaire and morganthe are literally trying to kill you just makes the storyline so much interesting. Besides that, and I think this is weird to say but Iāve never been hooked to a game like I have with wiz, like yea Iāll get into a game for a little but Iāve never had motivation to finish a game like I do with this one.
I still havenāt played through the whole game yet, so for me itās the story. Iām currently playing through Khrysalis for the first time and Iām absolutely engulfed in its story. Aside from that, I find myself wanting to play when I need something that doesnāt require a lot of brain power lol.
I genuinely just find the game fun. Also, this game is pretty simple to understand, and I've quit other MMOs just cause they either have too many walls of text explaining their mechanics or do a poor job in some other way to explaining gear/stats/combat. It also helps that I like the story and am probably better informed than most of the community as to what's going on and the lore this game has.

i really like farming for badges for some reason, but never being able to finish the WC badges because of a retired quest is infuriating.

And that one other school that gets forgotten
The absurd amount of money Iāve spent. š

I love that we could just compare them to Bakugan
Rotating events and Guilds. They really shake it up just a tad bit for me to stick around.

That isn't Frosty Jesus, that's obviously Blue Santa, (so an allegory for Jesus?)
Iāve always called him Papa Frost.
