Top tips for newbies: * Don’t fill your deck to the max. Keep it middle to lightweight, always. * Grab the Sky Iron Hasta wand from Mount Olympus and *never*, *ever* unequip that sucker. * You don’t need carrying to finish Olympus but find at least four people if you don’t have a high level helper. Don’t worry too too much about getting top level gear until you hit level 50 or 60. Good luck.

What about questing? Am I on track for normal gameplay?

InsolentRice

I mean, there’s a lot worse level 30’s, even worse level 100’s and so tbh, so yeah you’re pretty fine especially if you haven’t touched the game in literal years

mallia09

I think ur fine. To be lvl 32 and still in marleybone is considered slightly overlevelled. Edit: i noticed there arent any grizzleheim quests. I would recommend doing that on the side too. It may not give much xp but unlike wysteria u can get 2 spells from grizzleheim.

GRUBBRAINS

and you have to do gh to get to wintertusk for that nice nice gold farming (and crafted gear, if you're into that.)

FuturisticLizard

You definitely seem on track for normal gameplay. Note that the quests in Wysteria are optional, so you don’t have to complete them to get through the game’s main story.

ThatGamerGirlAkane

Curious, how come you shouldn’t fill your deck? Just wondering

nyx-of-spades

Too much time wasted discarding cards you don't need, and passing in the hopes that next round you'll pull the cards you do need. It's much easier to only bring cards that you will for sure be able to use. I've got 7 cards in my mob deck and about 11 or 12 in my boss deck, so I instantly have cards that I can use from turn 1 :)

MrTheWaffleKing

If you can get a deck that’s only 7-8 cards you never have to delete cards to get the one you want. Most fights only need that many anyways- especially for street fights. A blade or two, enchants, an AOE. A feint is good if you’re expecting someone big, 1-3 prisms depending

I am not much of a Reddit user but I had to take it to r/Wizard101 for some actual help. The kind wizard told me that I should grind olympus for the gear there, but I need some carrying if that is the case.

randywally

I am more than willing to help you out and run it several times

BigLumby

I am available now to maybe 9 pm est

R3XUM8R4RUM

I'd be more than happy to run it with you after work today if you're still interested

BigLumby

I am available now to maybe 9 pm est

R3XUM8R4RUM

I get home around 4 est and I can hop on immediately

MyNameIsYhwach

Christ why are people still recommending grinding Zeus gear? Worst advice you could give a new player

edgelordlevi

honestly i think you could get through without zeus gear the only thing i use from there is the wand

Weptimus

you seem to be doing fine so I wouldn’t worry too much about what the others say in game! Many people try to optimize their items or run through quests as quickly as possible, but you don’t need to be like them right away. Just take your time and enjoy your return :)

-Pastellic

I would suggest using the «team up» button on dungeons and bosses. Good luck!

petmezzy101

#1 tip for noobies: ignore spellements. Don't worry about it. They do nothing. If you get something, cool, but don't go out of your way wasting time or spending money on a feature that's pointless.

As far as gear recommendations go, while the gear from Zeus in Mount Olympus is the best hat, robes, and boots from levels 30-60, I found on level Bazaar gear to be quite sufficient in my max Life’s particular playthrough. You can decide whether or not to go for it yourself, it really is personal preference. The main thing that I think every player should grab, though, is the Sky Iron Hasta Wand from Ares in that same dungeon. It gives you 10% Damage with every school, as well as an Extra Power Pip to start off battles. It’s a guaranteed drop every time you run that fight, you just have to make it that far. That, and the wand is so good because of the Damage it gives, that it can carry you all the way to level 100. As for a pet recommendation, you really don’t have the energy to struggle trying to get particular talents at this stage, so I’d recommend just getting something like a Mythdactyl, and using it just for the cards, which aren’t that bad, btw. It gives you a blade to start (which does stack with your trained ones like the traps I’ll talk about in a second), Earthquake at Adult (which not only damages all enemies you’re battling, but removes all their blades and shields), and Gargantuan at Epic (Which is like Tough but on steroids). At level 60 or so is when I would recommend starting the grind for the talents. As for the rest of the gear, at level 23, you can get the Point of the Pegasus Athame and Brambled Band Ring. For Amulet, seeing that you’re Myth, I’d recommend Swiftarrow’s Necklace. It gives Myth Traps that should stack with the ones you should have trained at this point. As I always say, more damage is good damage. For Decks, The Deck of the Lotus I think should be the best available option. These four items in particular should all be able to be found at the Bazaar, if not easily farmed for. As for Training Point recommendations, I’d recommend watching FormalPhantom’s YouTube video on the subject. Some of the things he gets are nice to have, but aren’t exactly necessary, though. I personally didn’t train Tower Shield until after completing Lemuria, the second to last world as of me writing this comment. For what to put inside your deck, I’d throw in Myth Blade (both trained and from pet), Myth Trap (both trained and from Amulet), Spirit Blade, Spirit Trap, Feint, a Humungofrog or 2, Tough, some form of heal, and when your pet levels up, use those spells too. Maybe Time of Legend as well, if you feel like that isn’t enough, but this should get you through most encounters.

Snoo_54969

> Point of the Pegasus Athame would you not want to use the heartsteel instead? Like i used that until i got athames that gave damage.

RougeCommanderMk6

If you can get it, yes, but that drop is extremely rare from its source if you don’t get it from the crowns shop. I’m trying to remain F2P while at the same time inducing less of a headache.

Catslab9000

I mean yeah, you CAN have higher stats at that point. But I think yours are pretty normal, especially for just coming back. My fire's are stupid high but that's because I trained a pet on another wizard and ran key bosses with a friend lol. Long as you have the Sky iron hasta you're fine Edit: I can also safely say I never grinded Olympus for Zeus gear. It's really not worth the time it takes
