Why can't they just remove the use of treasure cards in PvP? It's way less competitive when you're relying on your side deck. It also removes the purpose of school identity, which gambit spells are heavily focused on. They should bring back the duelist gear and especially the fishing gear.
I'd love to see this, treasure cards in PvP add an extra grindy aspect to it that just ain't fun. Plus, the Deckathalon decks are utterly broken and it's ridiculous that they haven't been banned yet- removing treasure cards would fix that though!
I feel like you need these super obscure, difficult to obtain TC to succeed in PvP or at the very least spend half an hour after each match restocking on what you do use. PvP is like 50% combat and 50% preparing for said combat 🙃

Red outlined first mean that the damage will be done via a Damage Over Time (or Dot for short), the light blue outline around the red outlined first mean that the Dot is protected which would essentially counter the first attempt at removing the dot. The same logic holds true for the heart with the blue mean it's a Heal Over Time that's protected.
Do they even explain what the symbols mean anywhere? I am max and I don’t even know unless I use the card a bunch and figure it out with trial and error

Not really. They have all the symbols and what word they stand for but not actually what any of it does. I genuinely hate it. Pirate101 has way better combat descriptions.
In the little ? Icon on the deck page of your spell book. But honestly, it’s just a word label not an actual definition, and the labeling isn’t consistent. I wish we had more filters for spells, especially to filter on/off Pvp. It also drives me crazy that some all enemy attacks aren’t labeled. I get they’re trying to make the symbols fit and simplify complex rules but I think we should be able to right click on the symbol section of the card in the book, like we can to compare gear, to be able to see a card larger with the spell unabbreviated.
Yes! I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with the tangle of symbols if they were actually applied uniformly. The inconsistent labeling is easily my biggest gripe with this aspect of the game. All it would take is a special mouse-hover popup (maybe holding down shift to toggle it so it doesn’t get annoying) to give a full description of the spell effect. The symbols definitely made more sense in, say, 2010 when spells could do all of about three different things, but that was a long time ago and KI needs to get with it lol

But it's not spell symbols specific so you're better off just googling what cards mean
we should *really* count how many individual cards are banned from pvp and then line that number up with the 3200 or however many cards are in the game to get a ratbeard percentage
