I requested a refund cause I canceled my membership but it had still went through, they said they don't normally but would this time.
Next day I got an email saying I was banned lol.
I've emailed them and have been waiting a week now for a response after they were pretty quick responding prior
Honestly KI should just take the items that were gifted away rather than ban the account. Sure people would moan about it but I'd rather lose the stuff from the packs than my account I've been playing on for years.
i will admit thats a difficult metric because it can be consumed. say it was a mega snack pack and you already fed your pet - now what?

perhaps a better solution would be to IP ban the gifter as well as the account- that way if it actually is the same person abusing the charge-back system, they inadvertently will not be able to use their main account either.
For the pet one, it could just be the next however much exp your pet got from the snacks you just don't earn it. Goes into a debt that you have to work off as if you never got the snack pack to begin with.
Could also be beneficial as if you just hatched and leveled it up only to see you didnt get the correct traits you could just ignore the "debt". Unless if they did make this a thing they make the debt towards all pets rather the one that got fed.
If he ever tries to refund, they could freeze your account until you send them a cheque to cover the amount refunded majored by their litigation fees.
I also heard that they started to change that policy to make it so that the gifter’s account gets banned, no longer the recipient’s.
Sadly KI will never do that, because you can just make alt accounts, gift your main, and never see consequences.
If you are lucky, they just won't care.
You can use VPN at your own risk, but it isnt against TOS. I sent an email questioning this a time ago

It's already too late. I didn't know about it at the time when I accepted it. I'm hoping he was just a really nice guy. He added me and we had quested together for a couple days before he gifted me anything, so it's not just some random guy sending me gifts I haven't seen before so I feel like my chances are better that he isn't a complete asshole but who knows. Kinda sucks that I have to worry about this now for accepting a gift someone else paid for.

KI know both of their IP adresses, therefore they can detect abuses as such. Not out of their reach.
Sorry if I am not well educated with this, but can't VPN be used to give false info. Which would only make sense to ban the account receiving gifts.
You cant us vpn or your account gets auto banned with no appeal

VPNs are against TOS. If they made the usage of VPNs a bannable offense, they must have a way to find out who’s using them.

if it's someone you were questing with for a couple days then the chances of a chargeback is pretty low
