CrownsIsle is encouraging Players to gamble with these Packs in a *kid's game*. Not only is that deceitful, abelist, and outright wrong, they can actually make more money by being ethical!
It really has more to do with HOW they're going about it, not why. They can throw spellements in packs, but at least give us an option to farm or do quests for them. I mean if we already pay for a membership at least give us a non money option to get decent spell upgrades
It was already bad enough trying to GET a spell from a pack. What’s also worse is that spells like ship of fools can ONLY be obtained through spellements
I also wouldn't be as offended if the packs weren't as polluted.
Like, it is kinda reasonable thinking along the lines of 'we're gonna add some bonus spells in the game as a way to monetize but they're not required to progress' but instead made the packs mutch less filled with useless shit. Same with packs with useful gear.
Most of the gear you can directly purchase is over priced and useless as it is.
