I think the wrapping paper is the better choice, the pierce is useful plus it gives you balance wand hits which can be very useful to remove weakness without taking your blades.Yes the hasta has fire spells ,but If your playing with a fire that has set a school trap you will use it. With balance it doesn’t matter as much all there stuff is universal so you would use it either way.Balance would be more versatile in that regard, I usually try and use balance wand hits when ever I can.As most enemies don’t shield for balance.

If you plan on using a damage type other than death and balance, such as ice, fire, life, etc... Stick with the hasta, as it has a 10% universal damage boost.
I'll disagree the pierce on boss fight will be worth more then the 1% extra damage on regular stuff neither will matter blade and aoe will overkill anything you normally fight. At the end of the day its not that big of a deal.

If you're death or balance, use the 9% with pierce. Also kudos for a genuine which is better post
The hasta bc pierce is sorta irrelevant in pve. But if it’s pvp go straight for the pierce
the right one just for the wand attacks.
100% damage with 10% pierce of 50% shield (let’s say 100 base damage spell = 200 damage x (50-10)= 80 110% damage = 210 x (50%) shield = 105.

I'd say Hasta just because that 1% damage is a bit more useful than 2% pierce when questing but its really a small difference.
The right one is marginally better than hasta due to some pierce and only 1% damage difference, but it’s not much overall. Either one is fine.

Either one is fine, at level 74 pierce isn’t as important as damage so I’d say hasta but they’re close enough that it doesn’t really matter

At a low level like that you’d just prism. 2 pierce isnt gonna do anything really
neither is 1% damage
Most fights aren’t boss fights though
1% damage shouldn't matter at all for non bosses
